The room was beautiful and immaculate. The view of the lake was magnificent. As far as breakfast goes, it was absolutely delicious. That level of hospitality was carried throughout our entire stay. The breakfast staff made it a point to speak with guests at each table. Our room was spotlessly clean with quality bed linens and towels. Hoping we can come back to the Berkshires for another stay here in the future!

- 608dorig (10/5): Perfect for a quiet relaxing weekend - An absolutely perfect place to spend with old friends for the weekend. The breakfast was delicious, the 24/7 pastries and complimentary wine were appreciated, and the staff couldn’t have been more pleasant. Immaculate rooms and bathrooms with all the amenities you need. We didn’t get to explore the grounds as there was about 2 feet of snow on the ground, but we were still able to appreciate the lake views (attached sunset photo taken from our room).

We arrived with nice complimentary wine, tea and pastries still out. They were so welcoming the next morning and asked how our arrival was and we had a delicious breakfast cooked fresh. The inn is clean, beautiful and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable with a beautiful bathroom and towel heater. Great value for our stay. It is a close ride to town. We enjoyed our stay and will be back. The staff is super friendly and helpful! Thank you for a great weekend!

Laurie greeted us upon arrival with a warm smile and apple cider, and the owners were incredibly kind and attentive throughout our stay. Our room was clean, the breakfast was delicious, and the entire staff was very friendly. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this Inn. We look forward to returning this summer to enjoy the lake.
- hrdabster (10/5): Lovely B&B! Great for couples who enjoy outdoor activities! - We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting my family. We were told we got the best suite at the B&B and sure felt like it. Our suite has a bedroom, living space and bathroom plus a door to the shared wrap around balcony over looking the beautiful lake. The breakfast was also delicious although limited. You can tell it’s a family run. The owner was really nice. We took advantage of kayaks around the lake as well as SUP. It’s such a serene place and sort of secluded. We would go back again!

We enjoyed shopping and snowtubing at a nearby resort. We had a great experience.

- happyincharlietown (10/5): Lakeside B & B Berkshires Getaway - We were warmly welcomed with hot apple cider upon our arrival at this quaint inn overlooking the most beautiful lake. The inn’s location is convenient to all of the Berkshire activities amidst picturesque villages and scenery. The hearty breakfast was generous and delicious with a menu of various choices. The room amenities exceeded our expectations with Beekind toiletries, thick luxury bath sheets, and marble tiled flooring and a large glass enclosed rain shower. There is an in-room coffee maker and mini-refrigerator plus a small flat screen television. The picture windows were huge. We enjoyed relaxing in the sitting room watching the snow fall with an expansive view of the lake. I highly recommend this evening no for your escape to the Berkshires.

From the little touches like a bottle of wine in the room to breakfast in the morning, everything felt so thoughtful. The room was cozy, with an electric fireplace, and I’d highly recommend the third floor—so private and with a stunning lake view. We were lucky to experience a big snowfall, which made the scenery even more magical. The staff went above and beyond, accommodating my gluten-free needs and offering plenty of great restaurant suggestions. The bed was big and comfy, and the room had wonderful extras like a towel warmer, a rain-head walk-in shower, a mini coffee maker, and a mini fridge. We will definitely be back in the warmer months ❤️

There was also a complimentary bottle of wine in the room, which just made us feel extra well cared for. Honestly, I cannot say enough how excellent and kind the staff was. The Inn itself is cozy and comfortable. Our room was small, and it was strange to have the sink outside the bathroom, but overall, very comfortable. The bathroom was strange, and I would have loved a tub; however, at the price range we booked, this was a lovely room.
- V2541AWjohns (10/5): A wonderful stay at a wonderful and welcoming Inn! - We had a wonderful time at the Lakehouse Inn! Set on a beautiful lake, hence the name, a it is wonderful place to relax. From the moment we walked in the door, we knew we were going to have a very relaxing and enjoyable time. The staff was awesome! They started off with a nice warm cup of cider with a cinnamon stick. (We opted not to go with having a splash of rum in ours…) The very nice receptionist was very welcoming and gracious. A real delight! She gave us recommendations for restaurants and possible other things to do in the area. Unfortunately, for us, we were only goings be there for one night. Our loss… Our room was nicely appointed with seriously the best towels ever! And the towel warmers were the best! The Inn is nicely appointed, and the brownies rocked our world! They were so good! They are put out for the guests, and luckily we were able to partake! The taster of cognac - was also a nice touch! Breakfast was wonderful. There was something for everyone. We loved our grapes/berries as well as the French toast! The homemade whipped cream with orange zest was a real treat! And though they say it on the menu, the bacon was seriously amazing! Quite the statement… the waitress for breakfast was an incredibly nice person. So helpful and ready ready to complete any whim we might have. And the chef! She was incredible and brought our food out to us personally. It was such a nice touch. And she was such a nice person as well! It felt like we had great vibes going into our breakfast that morning! The.check in and check out was a breeze! We are already planning to come back next summer when Tanglewood is in session! We will definitely stay at the Lakehouse Inn. In a heartbeat! Oh, we did not partake in the complementary bottle of wine, but it's nice to know that it was available, if you so choose. And the usual question… Would you stay here again…? Absolutely, YES! Note: I plan on using this same review on another review site. As legit travelers who have stayed at multiple Inns/B&B's through the years, this one is simply perfect!
- christinevC6422RY (10/5): A Real Gem - My husband and I stayed at the Lakehouse Inn for a weekend getaway in November, Amanda greeted us and gave us all we needed to know about our room and amenities that the Inn had to offer (including hot cider, cognac in the evening, along with a coffee station for guests. The brownies were amazing! Breakfast was delicious with a new variety of choices each day. Kathleen took our order and was most accommodating. We stayed in the Lakeview King Suite on the 3rd floor. (2 flights of stairs). The bed and pillows were very comfy with a TV across from the bed as well as the electric fireplace, the bed faced the lake. The adjoining sitting room also had a TV with a loveseat and two chairs and an additional sink. The rooms were immaculate, and the decor was well appointed. The ensuite bathroom had a shower, double vanity and a makeup mirror. The was a Keurig coffee maker in the room and a very small refrigerator. The lake was closed for activities, but I'm sure it would be great in the spring or summer months. The Inn had a very peaceful and quiet vibe. The town of Lenox was nearby with small shops and eateries. There were plenty of places to dine in the area and we were provided with a list at the Inn. We ate at RJs in Pittsfield (20 min) ...our meals were delicious. We would definitely recommend this place and would consider going back in the warmer months.

Location is superb, less than 15-minutes from Stockbridge and Lenox centers. Hearty breakfast each morning, baked treats available all day, and cognac tastings at night. Beautiful views of Lake Laurel from our room, and from the patio. Kurt the owner is a super host who will ensure you are well taken care of.

Convenient to historical attractions. - The Inn is an old home located beside a lake which has beautiful views. This time of year the lake was closed so there was no water activities at the time. Our room (38) was a suite with a lakeview and was nice but a little quirky. The bed was comfortable, the bath was updated, the floors are old original wood squeaky and unlevel. We were on the third floor. The stairs were a bit cumbersome for two seniors in fairly good condition physically, to go up and down with luggage. The staff was great. The breakfast was the best of all!! Very good !! Conveniently located to some great attractions. Would recommend to friends.

Complimentary brownies and hot apple cider after our road trip was phenomenal- it felt like we had arrived at a family member's home! A beautiful view of the lake paired with a delicious breakfast and great coffee (also included) greeted us each day. Staff was so friendly and caring! Additionally, we appreciated that the inn was adults only because it helped us not miss our daughter as much and feel truly away! Also enjoyed the history behind the hotel and the letters from guests requesting rooms in 1913 hung up in the hallways was fascinating.

The property has a breathtaking view of the lake — complete with comfortable chairs perfectly positioned to sit back, relax, and take it all in. The setting is serene and truly captures the beauty of the Berkshires. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Everyone was warm, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. Our room was spotless, beautifully appointed, and faced the lake — waking up to that view each morning was such a treat! The bed was very comfortable, and the electric fireplace added such a cozy touch. Breakfast was included and absolutely delicious. We enjoyed fluffy waffles, crispy bacon, fresh fruit, and a lovely basket of breads. There was also a wonderful selection of teas and fresh coffee — a perfect start to the day. The location is ideal — just a short 5-minute drive to downtown Lenox, where there are charming shops and great restaurants. We’ve traveled extensively as a couple, and this stay truly stands out as one of the most memorable and relaxing. We highly recommend The Lakehouse Inn to anyone visiting the Berkshires — it’s a gem!

- Fragilld (10/5): Peaceful, but Close to Everything! - I don’t often write reviews, but the Lakehouse Inn deserves 5 stars! My husband and I were there earlier this week, where we had a wonderful time. We had a room overlooking the lake, and a deck off our room (many rooms do), which lent itself to a beautiful and peaceful place to relax with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Lakehouse Inn is very clean, and the rooms are very pleasant. The amenities such as a bottle of wine upon arrival, and cider and sweets in the afternoon add to the charm. The hot breakfast is included, and Mary, our server when we were there, is a ray of sunshine! The setting is peaceful, but only a few miles from downtown Lenox, and close to all the popular attractions in the Berkshires. We will definitely go back!

It is exactly as it looks in the pictues on it's website. The rooms are bright and clean, The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms are updated and modern. The staff couldn't have been nicer and were available to answer questions, make suggestions on eateries and sights to see. The breakfast choices changed everyday and beverages and yummy treats were available if you were looking for a snack. You won't be disappointed here. Vicki Williamsburg. VA

We had a fun afternoon when we got there using the paddle boards and kayaks and swimming in the lake. The location is close to lots of good restaurants in both Lenox and Lee. I highly recommend and we will definitely stay again next time we go to the Berkshires!
- seetheworldfromMA (10/5): Best Inn I've stayed in! - My husband and I stayed in a lake view room on the 3rd floor for our one night stay at the Lakehouse Inn. We were greeted by a friendly woman who gave us the low down on the property, offered us a glass of wine or non alcoholic beverage then showed us to our room. We had access to delicious brownies, corn bread, coffee, tea and water downstairs in the main lobby. The Inn has a beautiful location by the lake and seating outside for us to relax. We could even eat outside if we wished ( weather permitting). We were told there would be cognac in the evening and breakfast in the morning. There was a bottle of wine in our room with two wine glasses as part of our stay ( no charge) and a mini fridge in the room. WELL, I cannot begin to say how magnificent the breakfast was. In fact, I had a bagel with cream cheese loaded with salmon and capers as the entree. My husband had a delicious veggie frittata AND we could both choose from adding thick bacon slices, home fried potatoes, a cup of fresh fruit, juice, coffee, tea and a basket of croissants and pastries. We met the owners and they are both lovely! There are paddle boards and kayaks to use and chairs down by the water and on the balconies. The website does not do this property the justice it deserves. What a find! The king bed and bedding were so comfortable and the rainfall shower had fantastic pressure. It's location was perfect for our trip to Tanglewood and other locations like Rockwell museum. We will DEFINITELY be coming back!

There are paddleboards and kayaks you can use down at the private dock that sits on a beautiful lake. I have been there three times already, this summer alone. I love it.

We enjoy paddle boarding and wrote a note upon booking asking if we should bring our own (the inn provides paddle boards but I wasn't sure how in demand they may be). Very soon after booking, Indrani (the co-owner) personally called me to let me know the paddle boards are readily available and that we did not need to bring our own. (And I'm glad we didn't because the Inn's paddle boards are much better than ours!! hahaha). They also gave us a complimentary welcome bottle of prosecco in honor of our anniversary, which was so thoughtful and so sweet. Everyone we encountered at the Inn was lovely, including the other guests. The breakfast was beyond delicious, and the co-owner Kurt was even out there serving guests along with his staff on one of the mornings we stayed. (He was delightful.) If you're looking for a beautiful, clean, and peaceful place to stay, right on a gorgeous lake with clean and clear water, we highly recommend The Lakehouse Inn.

From check in to check out, we felt like we were family. Everything was absolutely amazing. From the afternoon drinks to the morning breakfast, the attention to detail was great. We loved the choices for breakfast, especially the pancakes and the French toast. We appreciated the staff for their enthusiasm and helpful hints for activities around the area. The room that we stayed in had a queen sized bed and a full bath. There was also a small refrigerator, a large TV, and air conditioning. Please be aware that there were no phones or an alarm clock in the room. The Lakehouse Inn has a quiet policy between the hours of 9:00 P.M. and 8:00 A.M. There is a living room on the first floor where you can relax by reading a book or work on the many different crossword puzzles that are available. The town of Lee, is a short 5 minute car ride away and has many different shops and restaurants for you to check out. All in all, the Lakehouse Inn will be our place to stay the next time we are in the area.

- keithcT3289JG (10/5): Finding the right spot - Beautifully sited on Laurel Lake with green terraces leading to a dock from which you can dive in or go kayaking, Lakeside Inn was an ideal place to get away from the city. Tanglewood is close to hand, as are nature trails. The rooms are simple but nicely furnished and many have views that make getting up a joy…or watching the sun set over the lake a privilege. The staff is incredibly helpful.

This was the perfect place. Adults only, gourmet breakfast, coffeemakers in room, quiet hours from 9 to 8 that people actually respected, complimentary welcome drinks and afternoon cocktail. Plus our room had a shared balcony and views of the beautiful Laurel Lake. Kayaks available though we ran out of time and the lake water was relatively warm! Town of Lee is nice, efficient, with the basics, but very nearby Lenox and Stockbridge are charming with great restaurants and shops. Loved visiting Edith Wharton’s house and Rockwell museum and drove 40minutes to see amazing Clark Museum and mass moca.

The lake access is truly the highlight - it’s beautiful and right at the Inn’s doorstep, with kayaks and paddle boards available at no extra charge. Breakfast was delicious, and enjoying it on the patio overlooking the lake was the perfect way to start each day. The location is perfect too - Lennox is just a 3-minute drive away and offers a charming small town atmosphere with excellent restaurants and nearby hiking trails. We were greeted by Laura upon arrival who made us feel immediately welcomed. The rooms are quaint, comfortable and very clean. The shower was extraordinary, especially after long days of hiking. The breakfast, served by Gabby, who exemplified great service, was deliciously prepared fresh each morning. In the afternoons we were treated to mango and peach sangrias, as we sat at the lakeside on comfortable couches. We will be back!

Lenox), biking(The Ashutiwillicook Trail is fabulous, and dining options are many! We also took a trip to Glendale Falls which is spectacular. We loved our stay!

- KarenO317 (6/5): Just okay - The Lakehouse Inn has gotten a lot of great reviews here, and that's what prompted us to stay there. Overall, it was a nice stay. We had a lovely room with a king sized bed and a shared balcony overlooking the lake. The bed was very comfortable. It was very clean. A bottle of wine was waiting in the room for us. Breakfast was made-to-order off a menu and good. But there were some odd things about it that make us question whether we'd ever go back. When we arrived, the woman at the desk told us to wait with our bags in the lounge area and she asked if we'd like a sangria. We said yes and then waited for her to return. When she did, she handed us our drinks and proceeded to tell us the "rules": no pets or children (we had none); do not ask for any special orders for breakfast, only order off the menu; there would be a cognac tasting for an hour starting 6:30 p.m., which seemed odd since most of us would be at dinner somewhere. And then she left again and came back with waivers to sign, releasing the inn from any liability if we chose to use their kayaks and canoes on the lake. That was a new one on us. Once she watched us sign the waivers, she finally gave us our room key and told us how to get to our room. When we got to our room and opened the door to the balcony, we noticed the road noise. The inn is on Route 20, and it's very busy. I had not seen any reviews mentioning the road noise, and we thought it would be more isolated than it was. But be forewarned, if you want to sit outside on the balcony in the wicker chairs to relax, you will not be immune to the noise. Although if inside and the window and door are shut, it is not noticeable. One morning at breakfast, I did hear someone ordering something that was not on the menu, so clearly the instructions not to do that were false. The door to the shower opens inward, so if you turn on the water before stepping inside and shutting the door, the outside of the door gets wet. There are no towel bars; only a towel warmer that was not working and two hooks on the back of the bathroom door. Our towels stayed damp for two days. As I said, overall the stay was fine. But I think the cons outweigh the pros in the end for us and we will not return.

Nothing that took too much time to go over. The breakfast was absolutely delicious Cathleen and the kitchen staff were absolutely amazing on ensuring that we felt welcome. I absolutely recommend this location for its beautiful lake view and easy access to the beach lake. We were not able to enjoy the lake as we wanted to because of the weather but we will be returning soon. There are plenty of dining options and we definitely enjoyed antimony brewery for food and great beer options. Also High Lawn Farm is close by and offers delicious ice cream with a live cow barn. It truly is the perfect location and minutes away from Stockbridge and Lenox. Can’t wait to return!

The staff were fantastic, kind and genuine . The food was great! A homemade frittata with goat cheese was amazing. I liked everything.

Room was 86 degrees and stuffy upon arrival. We booked best room in hotel and sofas were horrible. A staff member watched us sit out on their deck for an hour and pretend to be on break. Very strange and never had an experience like this. Worst hotel experience in many years after staying at hundreds of hotels, inns and B&B’s.
