- Kalena67 (10/5): This is a 10 for us! - Not sure why it’s a 3 star but compared to a nearby well known hotel, this one was much better. The hotel renovation was a plus! We were on the first floor. Hallways were clean, our room and Kitchenette were clean. The continental breakfast is what one would expect. Still satisfying especially the waffles. It is well equipped. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The guest laundry was excellent too! We are here to visit with our kids for Xmas and new year for a week. We would definitely stay here again. This hotel made our stay very comfortable.

As a Titanium Member, I was allowed my 4PM late checkout, while @ the other property I had to fight and beg for a 1PM checkout.The young lady @ the Front Desk had a great personality and was very pleasant.I believe her name was SHENIECE!! The halls smelled fresh and the Suite was spotless! I travel a great deal and it’s always refreshing when you’re treated right away from home!🏠 Thank you SHENIECE, you made my evening, especially after the terrible experience @ the last property.

Had an upgrade to a King Suite with full stove for cooking on Thanksgiving. Cozy large fireplace, heated pool and chill out lounge to watch football with fellow business partners. Close to Hooters, Long Horn Steak and Walmart. Maintenance staff added a wifi node for large computer graphic work in my Suite. 5 g.

- KatJim11 (4/5): Horrible service and experience - The check-in staff obviously hated their job. They were not helpful and didn’t care to help at all. I asked to switch rooms as they put me right next to an elevator and said they had no options. My co-worker offered to switch rooms as he hadn’t checked in yet but said she no. When we arrived, there were 6 people in line…very slow to check in with 1 person working. We paid and used their conference room for work meetings while there and they had no air conditioning. The room got to over 80 degrees so opened the door to let the hallway and lobby air in. The staff yelled across the room and was very loud so had to shut the doors again. Very distracting and very uncomfortable room. Lastly, my personal room had a horrible musty smell and had so much humidity, the AC didn’t take any out. It felt very wet and clammy. Even when getting into bed, you just felt damp. It was gross!! The only positive was their breakfast was decent. I would not recommend!

The room was a nice size and it was nice eto.have a stove top, microwave and refrigerator in the room. Everyone was pleasant ans accommodating. We arrived early and were able to get in the room. The hotel was under renovations but you would not have known that. There was no disturbance whatsoever. The hotel is very clean ans welcoming.

We had a great time, although they can try improvements when it comes to the elderly/disable veterans, just to name a few. The toilets are too low, it feels like you're almost sitting on the ground. Then the morning of check-out, my companion who is a disabled vet and suffers with sciatica was told he couldn't use the elevator and he had to walk down the stairs in order to get to the first floor because of work that was being done, that none of your guest knew anything about. In the future it would be great to signs posted, so the guest/guests can choose to stay on the first floor so they won't be inconvenienced. However, my time at the Towneplace Suites Lakeland was great. It was my first visit and I must say that Sheniece Chin made my checkin/checkout easy and swift. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Mixed review - Overall, great experience! My partner and I visited for one night only just to get away from family troubles for awhile. The check in at the front desk was smooth but we felt that staff was asking us a lot of questions and being a bit nosy. We really just wanted to get to our room and relax. They were very friendly but I felt like I was being interviewed. My one qualm was when we came to the front for checkout, we waited 10 minutes at the front desk for someone to come check us out. We called the phone number three times to get no answer. We eventually had to ask a housekeeper to find someone to check us out. When the woman finally came out of the office she didn’t make eye contact with us during the checkout. Felt a little strange but overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to anyone looking to relax in Lakeland, FL!

- Sherina (8/5): Lakeland - I went to Lakeland because I had to go to the courthouse near by to handle personal matters. so I booked something in a location where I could allow my family to meet up with family and friends in the area as well. I was able to walk to have a nice dinner in the same parking lot as the hotel as there was several restaurants next door. Also the hotel was pup friendly, I was able to have my pup in the room with us. The room had plenty of space to allow everyone to lay in their own space to rest and nap. We brought my pup his personal bed so he slept on his own bed.

The front desk was very friendly and offered a lot of information about the area and provided excellent things for us to do around town. Now that we know of this hidden gem of a place we will certainly be back!

Also the carpet was old and needs to be replaced. The handle on the shower diverter control was loose and thought it was going to fall off.

I could tell that the cook/server took a lot of care in making the dining experience a fantastic experience. The staff were very friendly and worked very hard at making our stay very enjoyable. We have stayed here multiple times and will be back next year.

Was told they would comp some of the bill and apply extra points for the lack of Internet service. They did not follow through with either. Their manager just hung up on me when I enquired. Also sent screenshots of the lack of Internet to their GM with no response Will not stay again

The room wasn’t even clean before we stayed but we had no choice and chose to not complain. Manager won’t return my calls or provide proof that deep cleaning was necessary.

Floor rugs, sheets & bed, air conditioning, bathroom. - The only good thing about the property was that it was easy to take my dogs out to do their business,that’s it! This was the worst experience of my life, having to force myself to stay in such a disgusting place. Because I couldn’t get my money back to go look for a better place to stay. It was so dirty in that room that I didn’t want to be there any longer than I had to. I want a refund for my whole entire stay.
