• Scott (2/5): - There are two Residence Inn Plano/Richardson, so I inadvertently went to the wrong one and was charged twice for one night, once at each hotel! Really?
• Skylar (4/5): Dirty + Addtl. Parking Fee - The room wasn’t clean. The couch and bench had several questionable stains that made us not want to sit on them. The bathroom counter, nightstands, and walls had crusty spots on them that had not been wiped away. Dried urine was left on the toilet seat. Food from a previous guest was left in the freezer. Blood stains were on the comforter and sheet, and were not sure they had been washed previously, but it didn’t appear they had. The sheet kept coming off of the bed and I woke up laying on the bare, uncovered mattress at one point. They charge $3.87 per night for parking and don’t build it into the fee shown on Hotels.com but instead bill you after the stay. I wouldn’t stay again, especially considering what I paid.

• Galyn (10/5): - I came to Dallas for my best friend’s funeral. I left my phone in Florida. It’s so hard to do anything without your phone … no contacts, banking, messaging, email, passwords. Lupita was at the desk when I checked in, I don’t know what I would have done without her. She fielded a couple phone calls, helped me with the hotel computer (I couldn’t access any of my personal accounts without my cellphone to receive authentication codes); she was a great supporter. (The woman who came in the next day was almost evil, wouldn’t even call a taxi for me). The room was great, amenities great, Lupita fantastic. And the bunnies in the back in the evening were adorable!

Kitchen cabinets were dirty and the sink stunk every time you ran water. On top of that the cook top and fridge did not work. When I called, I was told to flip the breaker. The fridge came on but the cooktop never worked. When we left the next day and came back the fridge was off again and all our cold stuff was no longer cold. We pulled out our sofa bed and old dirty linens were still in the bed. The front desk told me “I’ll put in a note but housekeeping isn’t here today”. Not exactly the experience I was hoping for. Also note that deep in the details you get charged daily for parking. The king bed was comfortable and clean.

• Texan (2/5): Not worth the money - The location was good. Parts of the hotel (near elevators, hallways) were humid & stuffy. I overheard a customer being moved to a different room due to an air conditioning problem in their original room. This is Texas....you gotta have a good working air conditioner March - November. I was extremely disappointed in how obviously dirty our room was. Then there were cracked floor tiles in our bathroom and in the elevators, which looked dangerous - and accident waiting to happen. The dark brown sofa in our room had blatant stains, hair and crumbs on it. The desk/table in our room had fingerprints, smudges and streaks. The curtains had fresh stains and would not close all the way to block out the lights at night. We brought food to cook on the tiny stove top in our kitchenette but were disappointed that there was only 1 frying pan that was not a non-stick. Definitely will not stay at this location again.

• Michelle (8/5): Pick another Hotel - The room was clean & the bed was soft but thats about all. The lady who was there at checkin was fantastic, the overnight person was rude & acted like we were interrupting her. I purchased the room for my son & his new baby and wife. He is military & just got back from 3 yrs overseas. They had just spent 30 hours on multiple flights & it was 2 am by the time we got them in their room and settled. They were exhausted but starving & bought microwave meals from the lobby to eat. Cost them the price of a fancy restaurant. When we went to use their microwave to heat it up, it wasn’t working. I went down to speak with the person at the desk. She was very rude and just acted like I was interrupting her personal phone call she was on. I explained the situation and asked if someone could come look at it or if we could please get another room. She didn’t even attempt to come up to the desk, she barely stepped out of her office area and immediately said no. They didn’t have maintenance available until morning, ok, understandable. No, they didn’t have any other rooms available, even though she didn’t even attempt to check the computer to confirm it. She did offer to heat the food for me in their employee kitchen but I couldn’t be there to see her do this. She was also very rude to my son and dil when they purchased the food. She clearly is only there for a paycheck and cares nothing about the customers or her job. We will never stay here & would recommend that you don’t either.

• joycetR9172OK (6/5): Mixed on Residence Inn - tired and not living up to its brand. - We stay in Marriots a lot both for business and family on the road. This was easily one of the worst Residence Inns we've stayed at. This could have been a Fairfield or a Townplace. I expect Residence Inn to be a step up. Although after staying in Marriots across the west for 10 days in Dec/Jan - we can't tell the difference between the properties any longer. They are all increasingly "meh". Positive - in the suites, the bathroom is outside the suite (idiotic with children when the bathroom requires going into the master bedroom.) The room was spacious. Negatives - when we came to check in (late flight) the desk agent shouted at me through the locked glass door demanding to know who I was and checking it on the computer before she would let me in. The room was dirty. My teenage son's sofabed was stained and smelled. We had zero housekeeping service and no notification of that at checkin (usually we get a statement and agree/disagree on it) we were there 3 nights, so that was pushing it. The use of space in the room was mostly horrible. The bedroom barely fit the bed but there was a lot of wasted space in the wide incoming hall and kitchen area. (as a comparison, the Residence Inn in Raleigh downtown is a gorgeous hotel and my fave business hotel.)

• Vanessa (4/5): - Checked it around 4:30 on friday after a couple hours i asked staff for a fan due to the room not cooling off. By 10:30 we had to pack all our belonging and be transferred to another rooom due to the room not cooling off. Once transferred we notice Saturday that the microwave did not work. And come 2am sunday morning the AC in our new room stopped working. Staff was friendly and helpful but this facility definitely needs some upgrades. The sofa bed that my kids slept on had so many unknown stains on top of that the bed was so hard i had to ask for multiple blankets to soften the bed up for them. Over i was dissatisfied with my over all stay at this location.

• Jshermanphoto (8/5): Overall good stay - I had a great stay at the Residence Inn in Plano. Check-in was smooth, and I appreciated being given a choice of floor preference, which was a nice touch. The room itself was clean, well-maintained, and the bed was very comfortable. The WiFi was fast, which made it easy to get work done and stream content without any issues. The complimentary breakfast buffet wasn’t anything spectacular, but it was hot, free, and had a decent selection—definitely a good way to start the day. My only minor complaints were the limited TV channel selection and the fact that the only streaming options available were Netflix and YouTube. It would be great to have more choices. Additionally, the room was a bit smaller than I expected based on the photos, but it was still comfortable. Overall, it was a good experience, and I’d definitely stay here again!

Not very much offered. I was really disappointed in comparing it to the Hyatt Place in Garland that I usually stay. I like the hotel accommodations better than Hyatt, but that breakfast could be a deal breaker.

My only complaint was the picture of the room on Expedia was not the room I received. I was expecting a two room suite and that's not what we received. I am an early riser while my wife likes to sleep in. I had hoped to do some work in the other room while my wife was sleeping in the bedroom part. I had to leave the room and go to the hotel lobby. Not the worst thing, of course, but I would have stayed somewhere else had I known the room we'd be getting would not have a door separating the bedroom with from another room.

• Luis (2/5): Elevators out of service - I wanted to bring to your attention several issues we experienced during our recent stay at your property. Unfortunately, the elevators were out of service for nearly three days, which significantly impacted our stay, particularly as my wife has heart conditions that make climbing stairs difficult. Despite this inconvenience, the front desk did not offer any compensation. Additionally, one of the rooms we rented had a non-functional TV, and the other room’s HVAC system failed to cool the room properly, making our stay uncomfortable. When we checked out, the manager was unavailable to address our concerns or to extend any gesture of goodwill. This experience was quite disappointing, especially considering the standards we have come to expect from Marriott. I hope you can address these issues and prevent them from happening to future guests.

Dallas at the time was in the midst of severe storms, DFW was temporarily closed and the hotel experienced a black out. the hotel clerk "found" me another comparable room and i was required to pay over $400 which was said to be "just a hold". I checked out 6/2, inquired about the money on hold and was told it would be released in several days. It is now 6/10 and the money has not been released from the temporary "hold". And the hotel was paid in advance by Expedia and again by me. this is very distressing and i am feeling like i was scammed!

• Bendea (9/5): Superb - The room was nice and clean. The receptionist was so rude! She wasn’t able to find my reservation even though I presented my ID and provided my contact information. I showed her the confirmation email I received that morning from the hotel, and she kept telling me that I have no reservation at that property. I don’t even want to describe the way she was looking at me …I had to go through my emails and find the initial confirmation email to convince her to check their system again. After all of these she just simply informed me that she was looking for my last name and that was the reason my name was not popped up. Hopefully someone will explain to this individual that people have first and last names and she should verify a reservation using either name so she doesn’t not ruin someone else’s evening like she ruined mine.
