- Mario (9/5): I enjoyed my stay in Portsmouth and was able to visit the main tourist attractions. - So convenient for shops, historic dockyards, travel. A small but comfortable and clean room. Ample space in the hotel car park (remember to display ticket from reception, and the park is locked after 11pm, opened at 8am). The night porter was very helpful and all staff were welcoming. I enjoyed a full vegetarian breakfast with cereal and fruit also available. I had a single room to the rear of the hotel. Rooms at the front might have been a bit noisy at night, but it was a good natured crowd! I could not think of anything to write here. The Ship Leopard was ideal for a brief visit to Portsmouth.

Og omtrent det samme til inngangen til the historic shipyard med de severdighetene vi vil se, HMS Warrior, Mary Rose, HMS Victory. I tillegg en kjempekoselig pub rett ved siden av hotellet.

The staff were all very welcoming and accommodating. The room we had was super comfy and shower powerful and warm. Just what we needed after a day motorcycling to give us a boost before finding a restaurant. Bed was nice and comfy and having secure parking for the motorcycle was fabulous. And finally breakfast. Couldn’t fault it. Set us up perfect for the next days riding, so thank you to the hotels great team.

Had everything we needed as a base for our visit Staff were very helpful & friendly. Rooms on front of hotel have good views over the harbour. Also just across the road Portsmouth Harbour station & local buses, as well as Gun Wharf Quays - which has a plethora of eating places

Both came as no surprise but the room itself and the bed size (King) were fine and suited our purpose.The location was perfect for the historic naval dockyard. The staff were polite and attentive. The breakfast was plentiful amd well presented. Secure onsite parking was really useful. We enjoyed our stay. We would have preferred a larger room. but ours was a late booking and we took the last room available. That's not a dislike, there has to be a smallest room in any hotel. Not plush, but every effort made to create a sense of style, again, not a dislike. No real dislikes at all. It's obvious that a genuine effort is made to ensure guests are satisfied.

- Lorna (10/5): Brilliant. I extremely happy I chose this hotel. - The property was lovely and clean. Our room was nice, bright and warm. The location of the property was ideal. It was a stone throw away from the station, Gun wharf, harbour and restaurants. The shower/bathroom is slightly on the small side. There was a small and big shower, which was a bit confusing, but I worked it out.

Breakfast was varied enough for all tastes for a 3* hotel. Lovely restaurant. John was on reception before we arrived. When I phoned to say we were lost he was most helpful. He was very friendly, pointing out local facilities and the location of Gunwharf Quays and various restaurants. When we asked for a heavier duvet, he arrived in moments with another. Bathroom a bit narrow. Knees almost touching the wall on toilet.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and cooked fresh to order. Continental items were available to help your self to. Vegetarian sausages were available. It is in an ideal position for visiting Portsmouth being opposite the Spinnaker tower and bus station. There was a car park for customers behind the hotel. Conveniently, the hotel is opposite a taxi rank. We look forward to returning next time we visit Portsmouth. A big thank you to the staff including their newest member Maria.

Walking distance to Gun Wharf Quays and about 15 mins to the Old Town. Great breakfast and lovely staff who couldn’t do enough for us. On site parking which is the icing on the cake .

John who welcomed us the evening we arrived was great, and unfortunately I didn’t catch the name of the gentleman on desk during the day but he was also so helpful and lovely. Location for me near the Historic Naval Dockyard, and Gunwharf Quays and opposite the station was very convenient. My single room was very small. The window could not be opened, and although the heating was not on, it was very stuffy to try to sleep in. There was an electric fan in the room, but this made a loud noise, so it could not be used during the night. As the room was very small, the fan was right next to the bed. Opening the window should be made possible in such a small room. They should also install an easier front door. It is very narrow and leads immediately to a few internal steps. It is therefore a great struggle to bring a suitcase in and out. An automatic door would fit in with the modern decor of the reception area.
