Per avere una temperatura adeguata nell’ambiente bisognava lasciare i convettori d’aria accesi la notte, impossibile riposare.

• Giuseppe (10/5): Breve ma intenso. Indimenticabile. - Struttura molto suggestiva. Soggiornare in un vero castello è fantastico. Il panorama è ineguagliabile. Le stanze sono grandi e fornite del confort necessario per garantirti un piacevole soggiorno. Ospitalità eccezionale. Il personale attento alle tue esigenze e pronto a soddisfarle tempestivamente e al meglio. Niente. Considerata la natura della struttura credo ci sia ben poco da migliorare.

• Nel (7/5): Leuk voor 1 nacht. - De locatie is super. In de kamer is de douche heerlijk (regendouche), koffie en thee faciliteiten op de kamer plus flesjes water in je koelkastje. De ene stoel die er stond valt uit elkaar. Jammer is het als je in een hemelbed slaapt dat daar geen gordijnen aan hangen. De lampen flikkeren in de kamer en douche. (Best spooky in een kasteel).

• Judy (10/5): A must stay in an actual castle - Loved everything. Located in a hill top village Bovino is beautiful - real authentic Italian village. We took up a restaurant recommendation located 6 minutes on a farm which was amazing. Highly recommend if you are looking for a unique experience

Guests can message when they expect to arrive, and staff is there to meet them. .can be a bit of a worry if guests arrive early or late.

• Carles (8/5): Very nice place in Bovino - Superb location on top of a hill inside an old castle. Spacious, elegant and clean room, comfortable bed. The manager was not very talkative / friendly to us. Actually, we had a car accident (flat tire) on our way to Bovino and when we informed him from the road the only answer from him was "OK". He did not really show any kind of interest or offered help. Welcoming upon arrival or the morning after for breakfast was also rather cold. I think that for the category of this very nice place, this aspect should be improved.

Our room had an amazing view of neighboring hills and valleys Our room was large and a little chilly. Returning to the hotel in the evening, our route back was not well lit.

• Raymond (9/5): it’s not meant as some five star hotel. but just the history and views are worth it. - The Castle is from the medieval times and was built on top of a Roman fortress. Amazing views and beautiful scenery. Rooms were spacious and comfortable and the gentleman who checked us in was very nice. our bathroom was great. the overheads lights kept flickering
• Bianca (8/5): Stunning views in a historic castle, in the centre of Bovino - The location is superb - right on top of the hill in Bovino with views for miles. The centre of the village is a short walk away, and we loved running through the ancient alleys and paths up to the castle. In October, we were the only guests there and it felt like we owned the castle which was fun for the kids! The breakfast was fresh and delicious. A jam tart, some croissants and cereals on offer along with jams and spreads. Nothing savoury - but all very tasty nonetheless. Lots of tea options. Room facilities were good - dental kits, shower caps, shampoo and slippers. The superior room was absolutely cavernous in size. The triple was smaller, but still very comfortable for our children. Would recommend and return. In off season, be very accurate with your arrival time as we said 4-5pm and were half an hour early, only to find the place locked up. We couldn’t get through on the phone but just before 4pm, the receptionist arrived and very kindly checked us in. He had been in an area without cellphone reception. Some signage outside would have been good - we were starting to panic a little at that point! There was a mini-bar in our room but it ran a little warm.

• Furnari (10/5): The staff at the Residenza Ducale were very helpful and gracious. - Historic property that was partially converted to house a B&B. The museum resides there as well. The setting is lovely. The road leading to the entrance is a little hard to find. A sign for the driveway would be helpful.

• Lena (10/5): an experience not to be missed - Amazing location in the castle of Bovino. We arrived at night and driving up the lit driveway is an experience by itself. The rooms are enormous and beautifully decorated. After checkout they opened the museum for us to have a look (recommended!) and we could leave our car there while we went on a stroll through the picturesque old town. all was as expected

• Verified traveler (6/5): Mountain top - Good panorama. Parking is available , a RARE commodity in a mountain town. The bed not very comfortable. The cereal breakfast for kids was stale. We did get a tour of the museum, and got to see a thorn from Jesus crown of thorns which was brought back by crusaders.
