- Mark (10/5): Faultless - Excellent location, up a steep but short little hill which put you very close to the "top" bridge, and a very short walk to Sao Bento station. Apartments was small and quirky but functional and a fair price with generally great internet connectivity and decent kitchen and bathroom. Great comms and appreciated the late checkout on New Years Day, thank you, so good to deal with real people. Recommended.
- Verified traveler (4/5): A Charming Porto Apartment With A View - The view from this apartment is magnificent. I wish I could end the review here and give the place a 10/10. Unfortunately, the individuals managing the property are terrible communicators. It took a lot of effort to arrange even the most basic things like check-in times for our stay. Other questions and concerns went unanswered entirely. Inside the apartment, it was clear that cleanliness and maintenance were not a priority. Our bed had sand in it! One of the glass cups had a lipstick imprint on it. There was mold along the windows and inside the bathroom. A lot of things were broken, too. Neither of the lamps in the room worked. The oscillating fan fell apart because it was missing two screws. The balcony chair had a broken support beam. The A/C did not work. Also, the area is right next to a homeless camp. While the unhoused will generally leave you alone, be aware that the area is a hotbed of drug activity. There were two men dealing drugs right across from the entrance of the apartment. The area is bad enough that my Uber refused to pick me up in front of my apartment for safety reasons. The plus to this apartment is that it is only a five minute walk to the train station. It's a steep walk uphill, but a very convenient, centrally located place. Also, that view is amazing. If you want to be charmed by a spectacular view, and can look the other way on things like poor communication and lackluster service, this place can be an amazing stay.
- petra charlotte maria (6/5): - We also stayed in the “Wine” room. Was disappointing and not quite what I was led to believe I was getting. 🙁 I have stayed in many other older suites/hotels in other parts of Europe so i wasn’t expecting modern facilities. However i was not anticipating that we would have no natural light for 2 weeks as we were uncomfortable opening the wooden blinds inside the apartment due to the homeless people living on the property within a few feet of the front door and the street level “windows”. When we did try to crack open the blinds we found windows were in bad or dirty condition. Perhaps the 2nd floor units are a better option? Towels and bathroom tissue were another issue, they were not changed or supplied on a regular basis. We would come back after a long day only to find there had been no top up so we would have to run out to buy bathroom tissue! I understand some factors are outside your control and the police were visible on a regular basis however not being able to open a window or get some sunlight for 14 days was a bit over the top.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The location is unbeatable! Right by the train station and next to the sightseeing monuments in Porto. The room was also clean and had a nice balcony and the front desk was very receptive to questions via WhatsApp. Only downside is that the bed is not an actual bed it’s a pullout and we were unfortunately given a very late check in when promised a window.
- Dave and Helen (2/5): - We stayed in Wine room. It was advertised at £230 a night, reduced to £80 to make it feel like a bargin, but this is just a marketing trick as the room if definitely not worth £230 a night. We were so unhappy with this stay that we left after one night and stayed elsewhere. This was a first for us. The bed is a pull down bed which does not go away. The hydrolics are broken. The windows do not open. And the blinds are broken so you can't get any natural light in. The doors open directly onto an area where homesless people live, including going to the toliet. The room is not sound proofed, so you can hear the homeless drinking etc all through the night. There is a leak in the bathroom, and mould on the ceiling. There are much nicer places to stay in porto at this price point.
- Sharon (4/5): - Highlights - easy check in and convenient location, but massively outweighed by the negatives. Very poor quality bed, merely a pull down with very thin mattress. Extremely poor bedding, no fitted sheets and mixed single and double sizes so constantly having to adjust, ended up on the bare mattress most nights. Bathroom is generous but in poor repair. Location is adjacent to an abandoned outdoor market that is frequented by drug addicts and dealers. In summary avoid
- Javier (10/5): - We were very pleased with this place neat, great location, plenty of room. The only thing that made us uncomfortable was the drug addicts hanging around the vacant place in front of the hotel.
- silviaf696 (2/5): DO NOT BOOK! DANGEROUS AREA, DRUG ADDICTS RIGHT OUTSIDE - Worst place I have ever stayed! Right outside the building, there are drug addicts, hanging out all day and injecting drugs openly. I was followed in the street by one of them. They will harass you and ask you for money. Also, as other people have said, it's quite clear they're watching who's going in and out of the building. It's not safe to walk in the area. Also I feared leaving my stuff in the apartment and go for a walk in case they waited for me to leave to break in. In the end, I had to book another place as it was too dangerous to stay there. From reviews here, I can see Expedia is not removing the property of their website, even though they're aware of the problem. I complained myself and they're refusing to refund the booking, so I'm in the middle of a dispute with them now. Please, please, if you see this in time, do NOT book this place.
- Paula (4/5): Could have been great but wasn’t - Theoretically, this location is wonderful. You’re in the center of everything. Unfortunately you are also right next to an abandoned park where people who appear to be homeless congregate. I read this in the reviews and thought that the reviewers were just being biased towards homeless folks who generally keep to themselves. However we saw someone smoking crack 3 times. Once he approached us to tell us that crack is legal and we shouldn’t call the cops. It was incredibly threatening. Those folks were often drinking, throwing things and exhibiting erratic behavior which made coming back to the apartment a source of anxiety rather than comfort. Unfortunately this isn’t something the company can control but you should be aware when booking. Additionally, there are a few things the company could improve. The apartment is cleaned basically but had plenty of cobwebs in corners and crumbs(?) under furniture. It could use a regular deep cleaning. Lastly, the furnishings are all conversion furniture so they are not comfortable. The mattress on the main bed is a Murphy bed and is very thin. The pictures made me think it was a permanent bed so be warned and adjust expectations accordingly. On the plus side the company was very easy to communicate with and prompt when getting back to me. I liked the people i met and wish I could leave a better review.

- Yenny (10/5): - This apartment is divine. The views are the best part. I had my apartment on the first floor facing the back.. the communication with the staff was great. They send me all the information and answered all my questions. They even brought me an iron I wanted the next day! The cathedral is literally 3 minutes walk from the place. And all major sites 6-10 minutes walk. Excellent local restaurants, a mini market near by, Starbucks, local bakeries, shops and the bay is 10 minutes walk.

I did not feel safe going in and out of the apartment , even though homeless never bothered us. Apartment itself is ok, but I didn’t feel that I was completely clean. Hosts were wonderful and accommodating . That being said , I would not stay there again nor would I recommend it to anyone.

- marcofR1579RR (2/5): DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!!!! HOMELESS HEROIN USERS OUTSIDE PREMISES - This is the worst establishment I’ve ever stayed in all my life. Outside the front door is a group of 10-15 homeless heroin addicts. They will watch you every time you enter the building and every time you leave the building. They will be there 24/7. They will inject themselves with heroin in front of you. They will ask you for money. They will walk towards you if you take too long to enter the code for the front door. I CANNOT BELIEVE THE OWNERS CONTINUE TO TAKE BOOKINGS. Please if you value your safety do not book this place. We checked in at 1pm and cancelled the booking at 6pm. They gave us a 50% refund despite not using the room other than dropping our bags. We’re now in an extensive battle with Expedia to get this place removed off their website. I’m sorry to anyone who has booked here and to anyone looking at this place I pray you read this review. Anyone looking to book from MAY 2024 onwards DO NOT book. I won’t mention the room conditions or cleanliness as they are average to poor at best. Once again PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BOOK HERE.
- Hannah-Lee (6/5): - The location of this property was in a great location. 5 minutes from the main Porto bridge and the Cathedral and central to transport. However, this is a very authentic location where we had homeless people right outside our apartment window with some occasionally sitting the step outside the apartment. We arrived with the apartment not being very obvious and the first thing we saw were the homeless people appearing to be taking drugs. For 3 girls together we were ok but not suitable for someone alone. The apartment itself was ok, not what the pictures showed, we didn't have a balcony and the shutters did not open enough for us to sit and look out the windows. It could also be noisy at night due to the homeless people outside. However, we received a lovely custard tart on our arrival and the company were really good at answering questions via whatapp. We were flying late on our last day and we could leave our suitcases in a sister apartment block around 10 minutes away. This location looked much nicer so it was a shame we were not staying there. Overall we were a little disappointed and felt a little misled by the pictures on the website but the apartment was basic and had what we needed.

- Jo-Anne (8/5): - We stayed in Bridges apartment. It’s view was the homeless in the area. My traveling companions were rattled by a call out of a homeless woman on our arrival telling tourists to go away. One night there was some early morning yelling by the local homeless that woke us up. Inside the apartment was clean and felt very safe. Pillow cases on the extra pillows would have been nice and maybe a couple more towels especially for the kitchen. It is small but really you aren’t in it long. It was a short walk to most restaurants. Beds were comfortable. Approx 12 min walk all downhill to the Duoro River. It’s all downhill so remember it’s all up hill on the way back. This is great for younger people and couples. I don’t know if I would recommend for young families with children. We were three older women travelling without our significant others.

Touch points beforehand were good but there was a miscommunication about check in time on the Expedia site and we had to wait while the apartment was cleaned. There was a group of people hanging around the parking lot right outside, and they seemed possibly homeless. We felt bad, they didn’t do anything to harm, but it was also uncomfortable. Otherwise a great stay.

Only disappointment was the neighbour area with the people who seem to be junkies and hanging around all the time in front of the apartment although they never bothered us. We were scared for our children. We were never able to talk to the owner to complain, they don't answer. Until they solve the big problem of drug addicts in front, I don't recommend it.

I very sorry for the property because is not their fault. The apartment was cozy and the staff very helpful . But is really unpleasant to see therese drugs addicted all over the road and people needs to know before they chose this place.
- Milagros (10/5): Location, comfort and efficiency - Highly recomended! Location, location: near all amenities, everything is walking distance, a super affordable Uber ride from Campanha station if you are arriving by train. Great comunication with the property, easy check in, check out, just perfect. The apartment was super clean, good size shower, comfortable beds, we only stayed 3 days but definitely i think this place could be easily a good long stay because of their well equipped kitchen. The only down is, there is no washer-drier so it will be a little complicated to do laundry - i didnt see any around but i may be wrong- The apartment we stayed called the Tram has a lovely patio with nice lights for enjoying a glass of wine with dinner. I would definitely book this option when i visit Porto again, I loved Porto! -actually, i liked more Porto than Lisbon (sorry Lisbon) this city wont disapoint if you like scenery, history and good wines! And this property is a gem!

An oasis from the busy streets especially as we were visiting during the festival of St John. Convenient location to all the sights. Communication was easy and we loved the Portuguese Tarts left for us on arrival.
- Vianca (8/5): - Stay was great, security for the building is great, and most importantly, LOCATION is everything. The road to this property is sometimes hard to find for Ubers. Your first impression is misleading as you do see the homeless and drug addicts but they do not bother you- even at night. This place is great and I would come back to stay here.
- GabriellaR1002 (2/5): Stayed long enough to book somewhere else - We turned up at 11am and stood in the rain for 30 minutes trying both phone numbers (15 calls) on the door - one said disconnected and the other went straight to voicemail. Our booking said ‘the front desk would be open at 11’. There is no front desk. The apartment is opposite an abandoned carpark which is home to many homeless people including several who approached us for money. I was glad I (female) was there with my male partner. Another guest finally let us in and I found a cleaner in one of the apartments who managed to message the owner. He said he was in meetings and couldn’t let us in until 3pm. The cleaner let us leave the bags in our room and we went to find lunch. When we came back at 3pm there was still no one there to meet us. I rang the owner (again) and he answered, didn’t apologise for not being available. He then texted me the door numbers and told us to go in. I don’t know why he didn’t do that earlier. The apartment was supposed to have a Queen and double bed. The queen bed was a fold down from the ceiling and incredibly uncomfortable and the double was a sofa bed. The apartment was cramped and to get into bed you had to brush past the dining table. The bathroom was dirty with previous guests hair on the floor. The wifi didn’t work, the room was run down and the aircon is above the front door away from the bed/lounge room. We stayed long enough to book ourselves another room in a hotel. The owner had no idea we left until he texted me asking to leave money for the tourist tax. We felt unsafe, uncomfortable and that the owner doesn’t care about guests - just his current job in an office and getting money from the apartment with minimal effort. It is not worth booking this apartment.
- Anna (8/5): - Great apartment with an absolutely amazing view! Has everything you need for a comfortable stay and the hosts were wonderful at responding to us and accommodating what we needed. A very spacious bathroom with good water pressure and hot temperatures in the shower. The windows also close completely and block out all of the sun when you do not want light in the apartment. Of note, there are no tissues / kitchen towels in the apartment, so you may need your own. Also would recommend to be careful with the shower, as it’s easy to get water everywhere if the shower head and hose is not secured in the holder. If you’d like to store your luggage, you are able to message the hosts and hold this in their office around the corner while awaiting check in. The location is very central and convenient, however the only downside we had to our stay is that it is directly across from a drug den and at night there are many drug users and dealers outside and along the street. We would recommend going with other people when accessing the street or accommodation in the dark.

There is homeless people around the apartment but they kept to themselves and never interacted with us when we were coming and going from the apartment

Wifi didn’t work but that was okay as we had a roaming package. The host was responsive and communicative. Location was convenient.

- Nancy Jayne (6/5): - The apartment was lovely and well equipped with dishes and linens. The hosts were responsive to our requests. The TV didn’t work, the first night we had the wrong remote and they brought the correct one over right away, but then we could not get one channel. The safe didn’t work either. I also could not figure out the microwave. It was a conventional/ micro combo. I followed the instructions and it would turn on and then in Two seconds turn off. The location of the apartment is great. It is in a lively neighborhood close to lots of stores, restaurants and the metro. It is up a very steep hill which is difficult for and older woman with bad knees. It also appears to be across from a very seedy area where individuals assemble all day to do drugs. It was very intimidating and as a result we always felt like we had to be in before dark. There was also a farmer’s/ fish market most mornings in the cement structure across the street. Our hosts assured us it was a safe area, but it was still a little to scary for me.
- Thomas (10/5): - The property is in a great location, right next to the Sao Bento train station and the cathedral, the Dom Luis bridge is about a 5 minute walk. There are plenty of shops and restuarants nearby and its about a 10 minute walk to the riverside. The property is clean and the bed was very comfy. The hosts were very helpful and responded quickly to any enquiry. Other reviews have mentioned homeless/ drug users being close by, dont be put off by this , they wont approach you and keep themselves to themselves. There is not really anything the apartment owners can do about this, I suspect the large pharmacy close by is why they congregate outside the cathedral.
- Karen (8/5): - The property itself was great, close to the tourist spots, however at the entrance to the property there were several homeless people and drug takers. When we first arrived there was also a police van outside the property dealing with some issue with the aforementioned people. It was off putting, especially when returning to the property at night.
- KLWanderer (2/5): Not for me - We chose the hotel because it is centrally located. However parking is very limited and we had to resort to a public car park a block away. Then we had to push our suitcases up a super steep hill to the apartments. Also the apartment pictures are deceptive, the rooms are super narrow and the building is rather tired. The service is friendly and helpful. There is no lift so don’t bring big suitcases. Finally it is super noisy with incessant heavy metal music from the neighbourhood.

Located in the Old Town of Porto, you reach many Sightseeing attractions comfortable in 3 minutes by walking. The receptionist Raquel recieved me with a warm smile & gave me some good advices what to do in the city. For all questions shed had a Competently answer. There is also a possibility for Car Parking straight in front of the House. i would stay there again.

The facilities itselves are great, good pillows, great size for an apartment, bath tub instead of a shower, full equipped kitchen, etc. but the main positive thing is its localization, it couldn’t be more centric! As a last comment, I would say that the agency personnel was really kind and are using a useful key system which works only with codes, really easy!

The apartment was clean, comfortable and had everything one needs for an extended stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful and accommodating. Their main interest was to make us happy. The only thing that might be a problem for some is the steep hill one has to climb to get to the property. This should be taken into consideration if you have mobility or health issues. But then, Porto is pretty hilly all over! All in all though, we loved our stay at this property and would happily go back.

- JJ (10/5): - Location, location and location! This apartment is in the middle of everything. You can walk 5 minutes to the heart of the town. The downside is also about the location, in terms of how to find it. There is no sign at all, and it is on a narrow side street that GPS hardly work over there, and nobody heard about this apartment. We rented a car and it literally took us an hour to figure out where exactly this apartment is. There are actually some free parking on the narrow street. Driving is quite a unique experience here.

We blew it and thought there was a washing machine--- she helped us with laundry soap and extra hangers. And staff was also responsive with other requests, including printing our boarding passes. - Loobylou72 (10/5): Great location and lovely apartment - We stayed for 3 nights. We arrived at 9.30am when check in wasn't until 3. But the staff were lovely and let us leave our luggage. The apartment was a studio with a terrace. It was nice to have a bit of space outside but the view would be better from the balconies as the terrace has high walls (there were also a few weeds at the back wall when we stayed- not that it bothered us) The inside was cosy, modern and well equipped. Also well designed to save space with the bed (which was lovely and comfy) folding down from the wall. The bathroom was also practical, and modern. The location was great. Right next to the cathedral. Very central- but Porto is built on a hill so it was quite a steep walk to get to it. The streets in general seem to have a bit of a rubbish problem so because we arrived early, before they were cleaned, it wasn't the best first impression. (No fault of the apartments) The staff were very helpful and friendly and explained how everything worked personally. There was also good information in the apartment including a free information app. I would recommend these apartments unless you have problems walking up hills. I would definitely stay here again.

- John (8/5): Steep hill, pull down bed but a lovely place - We had a great stay at the apartment. The only two things that it would have been good to know are 1) There is a very steep climb from the station up to the apartment, and 2) The double bed is a pull down bed when we thought that there was a separate bedroom. We were made very welcome by Diogo when we arrived and the mobile device provided that we could carry with us with lots of useful information and to make 30 mins of calls each day was brilliant. The kitchen was well equipped and everywhere was extremely clean. Overall we really enjoyed staying there and Porto is a wonderful place to visit - don't miss the port wine tours!

- Amber (8/5): Good value - Pros: very centrally located (walking distance from just about all of town), they gave us a cell phone with local info stored and free use, great service, lots of amenities, secure building. Cons: the actual streets immediately outside the apartment are filled with homeless and stray cats and people doing questionable transactions, parking is virtually impossible, apartment itself is VERY tiny, found a few hairs in various places that didn’t come from me, and beds are firm and not at all comfortable.
- John (10/5): Location, location, location!!! - Location is amazing. Minutes to Sao Bento train station, the metro, the tram and the funicular. Good restaurants close by. Free parking out front. The staff is wonderful. Met us and showed around the apartment. Great tips and a map for visiting Porto. Galley kitchen with small dining area and comfortable living area that converted to the bedroom by lowering a Murphy style bed. Bathroom was spacious. Very busy week with Champions League football game in town, so cleanliness needed more attention which was resolved immediately. Small modern apartment, no keys needed, all electronic with easily remembered codes. No issues with homeless or fish market. Sea gulls might merit ear plugs for light sleepers. Overall great place to visit Porto.

- Dan_Explorateur (8/5): Great appartments in the old town - My wife and I stayed there for two nights and have been very impressed by the quality of those newly renovated apartments that are very modern and high tech. You don't even need keys to get in as everything is electronic. The apartments are also nicely located within the old City, minutes away from the main attractions. They offered a cell phone for our visit with all of the key tourist information and that was priceless. Highly recommanded.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Nice apartment, terrible location - We arrived at the apartment and were greeted by Luisa who was lovely. She showed us into the 'Wine' apartment on the ground floor. The amenities and cleanliness of the apartment were fantastic. Then we realised we were road level, so could never open the blinds (so there was no source of natural light) as people would see in. It was also on the same level as a run down market where (sadly) homeless people slept. The first night the blinds rattled all night as the wind blew in through the windows. The the second night there was obviously some sort of problem with the homeless community in the market as there was so much shouting and fighting then the police were called, so we were kept awake for a few hours(plus is it heartbreaking to see wherever you are in the world), both nights. This was disappointing as all the adverts for the apartment showed to have nice views and either a terrace or balcony. When we told the lady at reception about this, her reply was 'well it is a city'. I live in London so understand about living in a city, I would recommend the apartments however, DEFINITELY request to NOT stay in the WINE apartment. It appears to be a last minute addition to the block and the 'budget' apartment (even though I was not aware and I didn't pay any less). With no views and felt unsafe at time. To me this area should be a reception similar to the Cathedral view apartments.

- BillyB18 (10/5): Excellent location - We had a lovely ground floor apartment called Invicta, easy to get to from Metro and within walking distance of the old town, Cathedral and river. Apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. Pull down double bed from wall which we kept down and also a single sofa bed, lovely sunny courtyard with table chairs and loungers , Air con which was brilliant to cool off in after a long day sightseeing ! No keys needed as entrance was a keypad on the wall and also apartment had the same with our mobile number for easy use.
- Mooramana (6/5): Noisy - Visited for 3 nights in September. Firstly if you’re not agile you’ll struggle to climb K2 well that’s how steep it felt upon arrival lugging suitcases......... Had been allocated a ground floor apartment facing market smelt of fish! & car park. Not very scenic. Internally well appointed but the sofa bed was very firm. Couldn’t open any of the doors to look out, one had been damaged by previous guest & consequently mosquitoes invaded overnight.......Very noisy woken every morning at 3.30 by people starting vehicles & leaving them running also a lot of building work happening in the area! Location good for seeing Porto but disappointed by room outlook & how noisy it was. I presume rooms on the other side will be quieter. Sadly Wouldn’t return to this accommodation.
- Billy (10/5): Excellent location - Very nice ground floor apartment close to the Cathedral and old town. Courtyard added extra space for eating and relaxing in. Had everything we needed for our 3 day stay , nice to be welcomed by Pedro who explained where things were and how to get to places , also gave us a map which was very useful. Weather was fantastic so air con in room was brilliant to come back to after a day out exploring , we would definitely recommend and would love to come back !!

All staff were so friendly and willing to help. they even provided you with a mobile phone for the duration of the stay. No request was a problem
- Pegler-Tatham (10/5): City break - I stayed here with my parents, a wonderful location. The team at old city apartments were faultless, their communication prior to arrival and once were there was great, fast to respond to any request and so willing to help. They provided a mobile phone to use while we were staying, preloaded with all the information you would need. They happily stored luggage for my parents for two nights prior to their arrival and once again for our late flight departure. Great storage and facilities within the apartment too.
- Eric (10/5): Deliciously warm summer nights in fantastic Oporto - Our visit to Porto was absolutely wonderful. We did have a little trouble finding our building, but this is to be expected in the old part of this amazing city. Once we did get there we were soon greeted and after parking (free) right in front, we were escorted to our apartment. A small but modern two bedroom....perfectly equipped with everything we needed and our host got everything started with a taste of Port! A wonderful way to begin three days of exploring a fantastic place. The people are so nice, the food excellent and the wine superb. The location was next to the hilltop cathedral so it was always easy to find our way back through the maze of alleyways. It was quite warm, so the air conditioning was much appreciated and allowed us to keep out the noise a bit as we were close to the train station which was active in the morning. But it was great to be able to walk a few yards down the street and have a warm pastel de nata for breakfast! I fully recommend this place as a way to enjoy the sights and sounds of a world class city. We were sad to leave, but vowed to come back soon!

- Michael (10/5): Great and modern central apartment in Porto - These apartments are right next to Porto Cathedral(don't worry the bells don't ring at night). The apartments are fully modernised and contemporary within an old stone built house. Our apartment was a bedroom, bathroom and lounge/kitchen, all you would need for a few days in Porto. The apartment was clean and well run by a young team based at a nearby property. The position of the property was in walking distance of all the main sites in Porto very near the top level of the Dom Luis bridge.

- Robert (10/5): Great location for this modern studio apartment. - Really enjoyed the location of the apartment - very handy for the Douro river, Cathedral and many other attractions. The apartment itself was very modern, a studio, so the bed had to be pulled down each night, but that was fine. The facilities are all modern, dishwasher, cooker, entry system, so no danger of losing keys etc.
- El Geordieloco (10/5): Comfortable, modern apartment seeped in history - The entire process from booking, enjoying my holiday to leaving was easy, relaxing and problem free. The apartment itself is close to the main railway station with quick metro connections to the airport. It is ultra clean with stylish international-style furniture and ultra safe. Access is through personalised key pads so no problem about forgetting ones door key! Inside there is everything you will need for a short or long stay. My communications with Old City Design Apartments were excellent and provided complete reassurance. In my opinion this is a reliable and honest company. Our apartment was at the top of a fairly steep hill and was on the second floor. However, I am recovering from cancer treatment and this was actually no problem, roviding quite good exercise. Perhaps not recommended for those with more serious handicaps such as those dependent upon wheelchairs......but I know many wheelchair users more mobile and active than myself. I need not comment upon the city of Porto itself and its historic centre. UNESCO have identified it as of global importance and it is incumbent on the reader to make their own personal discoveries. Please do not follow tour guides, your own physical senses and imagination are sufficient here.
- Rick (10/5): Great Area - Very close to San Benton station, out the front door and just up hill to the left. All the sites we wanted to see were within walking distance which made it very easy to plan our days. Grocery stores, gluten free bakery and great restaurants were also within 5 - 7 minute. There was construction and renovations happening in the neighbourhood but this was never a problem or a concern. All in all a great location. -Rick (Canada)
- Celia (8/5): Great location - The apartment was in a perfect location, close to the main points of interest in the old city. We were given a map and local information by Pedro, which really helped us to orient ourselves.
- Adrienne (8/5): - Cute place with excellent service. We got responses within minutes of our emails while there. Place was tidy and clean. Large bathroom. The bed was a little hard but fine. The only complaint was that there are tons of seagulls outside all night making noise. Obviously that's not the hotel's fault but we definitely lost some sleep. However, great location too and a good overall stay.
