(6/5): Fantastic location right in the centre of Valletta - Spacious accommodation, nicely furnished, but it was grubby in the bathroom and kitchen, with mould in shower and on the door of the bathroom and around the kitchen sink. This could have easily have been rectified by good housekeeping. The staff at VBL were very friendly and helpful.

• VALERIE (8/5): BEL ESTHETIQUE BIEN SITUE CONFORT A PARFAIRE - 1er appart très ordinaire avec cuisine bien équipée en matériel de cuisine et vaisselle. changement d'appart suite à un pb de fuite de WC au profit d'un appart de meilleur standing beaucoup moins bien équipée en petit matériel et vaisselle (notamment verres dépareillés et manque de casseroles et saladiers). il manque un balai permettant de ne pas ramasser poussières et miettes avec un ramasse poussiere Bel esthétique de la salle de bain mais le lavabo est inconfortable au quotidien pour la literie : le matelas à ressorts gène le sommeil : ils font beaucoup de bruit et quand l'un bouge l'autre aussi !! Ceci dit, l'accueil et le service de Valette Boutique est irréprochable !

• Jean (2/5): Une Honte ! - La chambre réservée ne correspondait pas à celle réservée, Rdc sombre petite fenêtre sur la rue très bruyante isolation phonique inexistante , saillie dans le mur ,chauffage par convecteur électrique soufflant et bruyant,bouilloire rouillée.... escalier d’accès à l'étage hors normes, pas de rangements dans la chambre, pas d'isolation phonique , les bruits de la rue étaient perceptibles comme si nous étions à l’extérieur , logement vétuste , literie HS,et impossible de joindre le week end VBL ......

• Heidi (6/5): - När jag bokar hotellet får jag en bekräftelse där det står att lägenheten kan ligga på ”olika adresser”, sedan får jag ett e-Mail där de vill att jag ska skicka in en kopia på mitt kreditkort för att debitera ekologisk skatt och städning på cirka 400kr. När vi googlar företaget och åker till deras kontor som ligger på en byggarbetsplats möts vi av en en tjej som knappt kan engelska men efter ett tag kommer hennes kollega som visar på en kollega hur vi ska hitta stället. I beskrivningen står att det finns bagageförvaring men eftersom vi skulle lämna på en lördag var vi tvungna att betala extra för det och gå till ett annat sv deras ställen där de kunde låna oss ett skåp med lås. Vi skulle checka ut vid 10.00 men kunde inte checka in förrän 15.00. Lägenheten var som en mörk bunker i ett vanligt hus där det byggdes en del. Städningen var sådär.

• Signe (8/5): Dejlig lejlighed i Valletta! - Vi fik desværre først en lejlighed, hvor der var væggelus, men VBL var hurtige til at reagere og gav os en anden lejlighed, som var større og pænere. Super god service og flotte lejligheder i Valetta med god beliggenhed!

• S.L (6/5): Good location - Good communication for arrival/key collection. Location great for everything. We had some issues with dirty linens, which the owners quickly rectified. If you want a traditional style apartment this is for you, but if you want light and airy & quiet I would not recommend. Outside courtyard area is more like an enclosed yard.
• Paolo (10/5): Malta fuori stagione - Inizialmente abbiamo prenotato un appartamento al primo piano che dava direttamente sulla strada e quindi molto rumoroso da non dormire la notte. Il giorno successivo a seguito di nostra lamentela ci è stato sostituito con un appartamento all’ultimo Piano di fascia superiore e dotato di stupenda terrazza. Appartamento ineccepibile e Staff perfetto e gentilissimo.
• Marc (8/5): Cheap and cheerful - Wanted accommodation that was fairly central and this was. The studio is basic which suited us fine, we wanted somewhere too sleep, a shower and a coffee in the morning no frills because because they would be wasted we wanted to see as much of Valletta and Malta as possible. We got regular email updates, transfers were organised by VBL and we got an early check in. It’s not the Ritz but is clean with a comfortable bed, hot water and a quirky shower and ideal for a weekend break. It’s a short walk to the city centre and the ferry for Sliema the bus station will get you around the island for €1.50.

• Verified traveler (6/5): zentrale altstadtwohnung - die Lage war einerseits für die Besichtigung Valettas ideal, alles zu Fuß erreichbar. Der Nachteil war der Verkehrslärm, selbst bei geschlossenen Fenstern extrem störend.
• Peter (6/5): Einfach aber zentral - Das Appartment, verteilt auf zwei Etagen, liegt in einer Durchgangsstraße und ist bedingt durch Verkehrslärm sehr laut. Der Begriff Kochnische ist wörtlich zu nehmen. Die Ausstattung ist spärlich, genau für zwei Personen ausgerichtet. TV kann nur in der ersten Etage im Bett gesehen werden. Das Doppelbett ist nur von einer Seite zugänglich. Also nichts für ältere Menschen, die auch schon mal nachts aufs Klo müssen.

• Caroline (4/5): Disappointing and unwelcoming - Key not available at check in time, had to phone, and we waited on street 30 minutes. The apartment, at 44 Old Mint Street, had a large window with opaque glass, nowhere to see outside, although the site clearly promised ‘city views’ – we both found the lack of a window bleak and unacceptable, and there were no blinds to block out light overnight. Shower was over the toilet in a tiny room – maybe 1 metre square. Smaller issues were a large cobweb and broken light bulb. When I texted my disappointment in the apartment we were quickly offered a free upgrade to premium for the next day, which we were happy to accept. We met the representative (who didn’t give her name) at the new apartment later the next day – it was much nicer. Having slept one night in Mint Street I suggested that she check the roll out bed to see what she thought: I had found it very short and so full of bumps and ridges sleeping had been problematic. I was very firmly told there had been no complaints from others. Her manner was hostile, telling us we were costing the company, and she refused to hear our comments. This was the first time I had ever made such a complaint – we hadn’t expected a lot, it had seemed good value, but no functioning window, an appalling bed, delayed check in and the ridiculous shower were too much. There is an additional €53 cleaning charge payable on booking, demanded in red in a ‘welcome email’ straight after booking, so the cobweb was irritating, and th
• Val (8/5): Very close to centre, main places of interest. - Lovely stay in Valletta. Accommodation was fine, convenient for all the things we wanted to visit. Plenty of great places to eat nearby. VBL staff most helpful.
• BiBi (4/5): - Apart.101 - Humidity, towels not drying and clean up only done once by stay and change of towels each 3 days only. Not for aged clients or with young child nor for any mobility problems as steps to go down the bathroom and bedroom are steep. Very noisy if presence of non-respectful clients on other floors. Cleaning charge of 50Euros no matter how long you stay, making this a very expensive cleaning fee for a 3 days stay for one person only. No couch in the entrance/living room in front of tv. Very good and large shower, all appliances are very well. Nice dishes, towels and bedding. No phone. Will suggest not to take any of the special offers from Hotel. Local bus from airport to bus terminal in Lavallette only 1.5E and going very often. Lots of little restaurants near by on way to main downtown. From Hotel to Bus terminal is about 15 minutes walk but every where you want to go is only 1.5E and ticket are good for 2 hours. Suggest to research on Internet information about the Island and all the Sites and then buy bus tickets to get there and back. Great experience in all but due to lots and lots of hills in the city, wish I had taken a hotel near St-John's Cathedral.

• Joy (8/5): - The hotel is cozy and more importantly, centrally located. Everything within Valletta is walking distance from this hotel. The staff is accommodating and warm, especially Rita, making sure we were comfortable and everything we needed was provided for.
• mary (6/5): Appartamento molto centrale. - Appartamento ben arredato e con tutti i comfort, ad un primo piano di palazzo di 6 piani.inconvenienti : le finestre si aprivano verso un piccolo cortile interno per lo quale era molto buio, poco arieggiato ed umido, puzzava di muffa nonostante il deumidificatore. Inoltre la porta del bagno era bloccata e non era possibile chiuderla. Come vostra assidua cliente e vi consiglio di non proporrerlo più questa sistemazione
• Verified traveler (6/5): Be aware of room 101 of VBL! - Be aware of room 101! The first floor is quite good: small kitchen, tv, air conditioner, several tables to work and to just sit and rest. However, the bedroom is on the first floor and is incredibly humid with intense mouldy smell. The loud dehumidifier has to be on all the time (water collecting container becomes full in a single day!) Air conditioner is above the bed and I was baffled when water started to condens on the edge of conditioner and sterted to drop on the bed and on my head when I was trying to sleep! I think it is unethical to even rent this room - many people has sever allergies to moulds and the dropping water on your head is also major flaw. The location is perfect though. Don't know anything about other rooms.
• Leonardo (6/5): A cheap house - Abbiamo trascorso una settimana di vacanza a Malta, all'appartamento 44 di Old Mint Street, posizione molto comoda per dirigersi da qualsiasi parte, ma ahimè la casa lascia un po' a desiderare: appena entrati in appartamento un odore forte e sgradevole pervade casa e non siamo riusciti a mandarlo via, non esistono stanze divise (bagno - cucina - salotto - camera sono tutti insieme in uno stanzone, il bagno è minuscolo, con un minuscolo lavandino (che perdeva acqua tra l'altro) e senza cabina doccia (ad ogni doccia bagnavamo tutto il wc). Per quanto riguarda la pulizia era tutto in ottime condizioni veramente (biancheria da letto pulitissime, come il resto di casa al ns arrivo), utensileria e elettrodomestici ottimi, wifi ok, tv ok, letto ok... ultima nota dolente, la porta di casa... riuscivamo a sentire ogni minimo passo di chi entrava e usciva dal portone, una porta vecchia e d'epoca che non insonorizzava minimamente. Una casa che vale leggermente meno di quanto paghi. Tornerei a Malta ma non lì.

• Dave (6/5): A room without a view - This is a home converted into shared accommodation. The first room was very noisy because it was near the construction work (drilling starting from 6 am), but the staff let me move. Friendly and flexible. The other room was tiny and had no view (window to an air shaft) which is probably common in this part of town.

• Pierre et Nina (4/5): mauvaise prestation éloignée de la description - Nous sommes très déçus de la prestation de la chambre. Nus étions au 44 mintstreet. La chambre était relativement spacieuse, mais lit de mauvaise qualité. Ceci dit, le trois choses les plus génantes pour notre voyage de noce étaient : 1 Aucune fenêtre donnant sur la rue ou autre 2 Des fenêtres en verre opaque mais avec aucune possibilité d'occulter la lumière de la nuit (escaliers, voisins), donc difficile de dormir dans des conditions norrmales ; le jour se lèvre tôt. 3 deux mètre carrés dans lequel se trouve la douche donnant au dessus des toilettes, un lavabo. Obligation de racler toute l'eau après une douche, donc toilettes inutilisables 4 Vieux frigo dans la chambre faisant énormément de bruit 5 aucune isonorisation de la porte d'entrée entraînant un réveil très matinal avec les personnes partant travailler dès 5H dumatin
• Verified traveler (8/5): Basic but good value in excellent location. - Very clean, comfortable, basic accommodation. Value for money. Quiet street near all sights, harbour, good restaurants and bars. Steep streets around but wide steps make them easily walkable. Roof terrace has lovely views. A few loungers provided. Not a luxurious accommodation but as expected for the low cost.

• Lars (6/5): Stor og godt beliggende lejlighed - Dejlig stor lejlighed med fint køkken og to gode soveværelser, Fine faciliteter, OK køkken, pænt med skabe, etc. Desværre var der knas med detaljerne - ingen baggageopbevaring v afrejse, aircon virkede ikke, elevator var ude af drift, etc) Det ville ha' været fremragende hvis der ikke havde været alle disse irritationsmomenter.
• Siew kheng (4/5): Unpleasant stay at Valetta Boutique Apartment - The experience was rather unpleasant. Firstly, despite complaints that the miscellaneous charges should be collected at the apartment, as was the case in apartments we had booked elsewhere, they insisted that we provided them with images of front and back of credit card. We had no choice but did as suggested. We found after coming back that we were charged twice for the miscellaneous fees. So I wrote to complain. While they did refund the overcharged amount, our bank alerted us about some subsequent suspicious transactions from this card. Fortunately, the bank staff was alert enough to check with us and were able to stop payment in time. This was a credit card that I used only for transactions in Europe and besides payment for this stay, it has not been used elsewhere. Furthermore, while staying there, I had to write to them a few times concerning things which were advertised but not in the apartment, one of which was a missing microwave oven. I had to send them a screenshot to prove that it was indeed advertised. As my husband and I were staying with an adult son, we had paid for a premium two-bedroom apartment. Hence, we were shocked to find that we were all expected to share a bathroom which is attached to the master bedroom. As there was also a common bathroom, we asked for that to be opened. They first told us that there was a key for that bathroom but we were unable to locate it. The next day, the common bathroom (with defects) was opened after subsequent calls from us.
• Susan Jane (10/5): Boutique apartment close to centre of Valletta - The golden seed apartment was on the fourth floor of a traditional Valletta building. It was a long way up but worth it when we got there. The apartment was well equipped and comfortable. The location was good, close to the sights but quiet at night.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Not value for money! - This was a stressful check in. You need to arrive at the agents office before 5 pm, otherwise I am not sure what the alternative is as this was not disclosed. My plane arrived at 4pm so I had to get airport staff ring the agent to wait. Then the apartment is 20 minutes on foot. Not fun with luggage. The lift in the building didn't work. I was on the 3rd floor. The bed frame was broken. So my mattress was sunken. Cable channels on the tv was not available despite advertising they were. The apartment lacked character. A bit bland. I was charged a 50 Euro cleaning fee on arrival. Had I known, I would have booked a hotel. The cleaners don't service the apartment until you leave and you must leave it clean. The town of Valletta is a ghost town after 7:00pm. I would stay in Siliema next time. The apartment street is under lit at night and dead quiet. It can be daunting for female solo travelers. Not value for money.
