• sbrittons (4/5): disappointing stay - The suite had potential, but unfortunately, the level of cleanliness didn’t meet our expectations. There was noticeable humidity in the room, and we found used water bottles, durty dust under the rug, and some insects. Linens and towels had some visible holes and spots. We’ve stayed in similar cave-style places that were much cleaner, so we believe the experience here could really improve with better maintenance and attention to detail. Also broken forniture with holes.
• janabG769KO (2/5): BED BUGS & BAD MANAGEMENT - BED BUG INFESTATION AND POOR MANAGEMENT - DO NOT STAY HERE!! The owner refuses to accept that his hotel, the first place we have stayed, caused bed bug bites. Since the first night of our stay, we have experienced issues with horribly itchy bug bites occurring at night time. We originally thought these could be mosquito bites, until we finally saw the bed bugs in the mattress. There are cracks and holes in the door to our room, which would have let mosquitoes in. It is also very humid and wet in the room- perfect conditions for mosquitoes. However, we now know better after seeing the bugs on the bed. The bed bug bites caused such a severe reaction that it ruined our entire trip. I had to seek medical care from a pharmacy due to the severity of the allergy. We have 2 more weeks of our vacation left. Now all of our clothes and all of our luggage needs to be washed since they are likely infested. The owner refuses to pay for this service or take any action. The night manager at check-in has been great, but that is the only good thing I can say about this place. Save your money and stay somewhere where the people would care about you and take proper measures against pests.
• S1430TPdeborahh (10/5): Unforgettable experience. - A wonderful experience to stay in a ‘cave’ hotel. We understand the carved out rooms are part of the natural and cultural history of Goreme. The hotel does not change the physical aspects of the original walls but lights and furnishings are added to make it feel very welcoming. Once the door to the room is closed the sights and sounds from outside disappear. It snowed while we were here and the towel warmer in our bathroom, not only dried our wet clothes but kept the temperature in the room at a perfect level. Ahmet, the first person we met when we checked in was the absolute best at not only accommodating us but also sharing experiences and suggestions. A delight to be around. The women in the kitchen made to-die-for bread and cheese biscuits served warm for breakfast along with meats, cheeses, olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, jellies and other pastries and omelettes. The location was perfect, within walking distance and with a view of the enchanting town of Goreme. We feel fortunate to have chosen this place to spend 4 wonderful days and 3 cozy and restful nights.

• Trapezbine (10/5): Nice cave hotel with a great view - Nice Cave hotel in a good location in Göreme. Clean rooms, very friendly staff, great view. The turkish breakfast was very tasty. Easy to visit the village by feet. We will definitely come back one day.

Ancak şöyle ki bizim kaldığımız odada ne wifi nede kendi hücresel internetimiz çekmiyordu ki bu baya can sıkıcı, birde odalarda mini buzdolabı yok onu geçtim wc harici odada çöp kutusu yok. Son olarak wc de hijyen sıkıntısı yoktu ancak wc den biraz rahatsız edici bir koku geliyordu ve odaya yayılıyordu bence bunu çözmek gerekiyor.

• Jimihenry (10/5): Would definitely recommend! - We had a fantastic 2 night stay at the Asteria Cave Hotel. The staff were extremely helpful, in particular, Sam was able to answer all of our questions and nothing was too much trouble. The room was interesting and the balconies have fantastic views of the town and the hot air balloons in the morning. The location was a perfect balance between being near the centre of the town but also slightly up hill to make it peaceful and to give guests spectacular views.

It was my sons Birthday the day after we arrived and they helped me organise, a cake, candles, champagne and kindly placed it in my room whilst we were on a tour. Nothing was a problem to them. I highly recommend Asteria Cave Hotel.. Thanks to all the staff… 👍

They even made early breakfast and packed it for us as we were supposed to leave early. The hotel provides awesome view of Gerome and is highly recommended.

• RYO (10/5): - クレジットカードを紛失しましたが、スタッフは親身に私のために頑張ってくれました。彼らはみんな良い人達です。 朝の6時くらいにアベニューから街の上を飛ぶ気球が見れます。 気球ツアーは早めにスタッフに予約をして貰うと安くなります。 ゴミ箱は無いのでコンビニで袋を貰うと良いです。 洞窟ホテルなので部屋のWi-Fiは凄く弱いです。1GBの動画のアップロードをするのは数時間掛かります。（これはどこの洞窟ホテルでも一緒だと思います） 朝食は食べきれないほどの美味しい料理が出てきます。 歩いて5分で沢山のレストランやお土産屋がある通りに着きます。 可愛い犬や猫が沢山います。 満足度は凄く高いのでオススメです。
• Kazialil1 (10/5): A perfect location for staying in Goreme - Great location and value for money. Staff very friendly and helpful. A real "cave hotel" - very unlike other cave hotels that just are not. Lovely terraces for great views over Goreme and balloons flying over Goreme in the early mornings. Royal Balloon is very professional with small detail that makes it special. Good linen. In internet dodgy at times. Near restaurants and viewing areas.

• Avrom (8/5): Excellent staff. - Overall a very neat place in a great location in Goreme near all the attractions. Most of all the staff go out of their way to make your stay excellent. They can arrange tours for great prices. The condition of the hotel isn’t the best nor is the comfort. There’s not much air being that it’s a cave without windows and smells a little musty. To be fair I believe this is the case with all cave lodgings in Cappadocia but it is a nice experience. The hot water ran smoothly so that was nice. Overall I recommend this place.
• eleanorystephen (10/5): Great location, great experience in cappadocia! - I’m not sure why this hotel is not popular already! We are really happy with our choice as opposed to the more popular ones that are way pricier. Do not hesitate to stay here, you will not regret! Location is great! Very close to Goreme city centre and proximity to popular and good restaurants like Gurme and Dibek. You do need to go up and down a hill but take note that this is the same for all accommodations with an elevated view. (We know because we walked up to sultan cave suites to have dinner at Seten restaurant). You can always choose to call a taxi (it’s cheap, 30TL if you are feeling lazy/tired :D). The rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable with a great shower. Prices are very reasonable too. Terraces are great and convenient for viewing hot air balloons taking flight in the morning. (Whether the balloons are flying overhead at your accommodation depends on wind conditions.) Communication is great - we did not actually plan anything except for booking flight tickets to and out of cappadocia and Asteria helped us with everything on the spot (airport transfers, day tours etc all at very reasonable prices). Also, we are very grateful that they accommodated us readily when we changed our mind from red to green tour. Thank you! For our hot air balloon ride we actually booked it separately with Butterfly 2-3 weeks beforehand as we read reviews that it will be fully booked. We stayed 3D/2N at cappadocia and our full itinerary was: 1) took earliest flight from Istanbul and reached asteria before noon. 2) Did the sunset ATV tour in the evening 3) woke up at 4:30am next morning for hot air balloon ride which ended around 7:30am 4) joined day tour at 9:30am (Green Tour) which ended around 5:30pm 5) next morning woke up for viewing hot air balloon from Asteria’s terraces and from the viewpoint (10mins hike up - just need to turn right once you exit asteria and walk up the hill. Cost TL5/pax). Super amazing experience all in all, it’s a magical place 😍
• natalie (10/5): Découvrir Goreme - Séjour parfaitement réussi puisque nous avons pu effectuer une découverte du paysage dans une montgolfière. Réservation dès que possible. Mais voir les montgolfières tôt le matin est déjà une sacré surprise. Et regarder le coucher du soleil bien sûr. Il faut absolument visiter Goreme, musée à ciel ouvert: aucun resto, aucun café. Pureté du paysage. Cappadoce est une très belle region, pleine de surprises, mais trop touristique. Ne pas tarder à visiter cette région avant que nombreux hôtels, restos n’envahissent les roches aux alentours.

• xdcfzee_travel (10/5): Memorable - I liked The location of the hotel which is uphill into the mountain that allows you to have an amazing view of the Goreme Valley at any time of the day. Also since the hotel is high in mountain you can have really Amazing balloon watching time during sunrise. I was fortunate enough to see a balloon passing really low in the valley and just a couple meters above the hotel. The room was spacious and well equipped with all the amenities shown in description. The bath tub was great. The best thing was the staff , as they were very kind and accommodating. I would really appreciate the efforts and Specially thank Mr. Mehamet for arranging a nice and delicious surprise birthday cake for my Girlfriend. The day will be memorable.
• Zainab (8/5): Great service - The Asteria Cave Hotel was beautiful and lovely to stay at. The service was top notch. The receptionist was amazing and so helpful and thoughtful about meeting our needs. The main critique is probably more reflective of staying in any cave (and not unique to this hotel). The ventilation is lacking in caves so just keep in mind that the space will be very humid.
• andreeao588 (10/5): Beautiful place to stay in Goreme! - Asteria is a great place to stay in Goreme. We stayed in a traditional cave room, carved in tufa. The room had enough space for 2 persons with a lot of luggages. It was clean and very nice decorated: local pottery, dreamcathers, wood and stone details. Mehmet, the host, it is a great guy, very helpful and friendly. He also arranged for us everything that we needed in Goreme and outside: safari tour, hot air balloon, Derinkuyu and other important spots tour, massage, restaurants recommendations and so much more. He is the best! He also has a great team - all the boys were very polite, helpful and hardworking. The breakfast is good, tasty, too much :-) and served in local ceramic plates. We had free parking for our 3 motorcycles. Also you should try some interesting wine (from different fruits) from the wine shop across Asteria hotel. We definitely recommend this place to everybody that want an authentic stay and experience in Goreme. Beautiful!

• Runizaam (10/5): Very nice and helpful staff 👍🏼 - We had a pleasant stay here in Asteria Cave Hotel. Owner and staff are all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served hot and delicious! We booked 2 rooms and both are clean and awesome. One of the rooms are on the top with private terrace! LOVE the view!!! Our flight was delayed and we were worried about missing our connecting flight. Mr Mehmet, the hotel owner helped us liaise with the flight agent and solved our problem. Thank you for making our stay a pleasant one! ❤️
• Joy (10/5): - One of the best views and location. This place was perfect for our stay. We loved the staff and how helpful they were when it came to booking excursions and activities. My favorite part was actually being able to see the balloons at the crack of dawn from our terrace.
• Dhanvin (8/5): Amazing service and gorgeous stay - Hotel and stay are incredible. But what differentiates is the service. SAM the receptionist is Amazing!!! Extremely kind and professional. He made my stay there worthwhile. Would go back just to be handled by such caring people

• Daniel (10/5): - The hotel has been refurbished and rebranded - hence you won't see a lot of reviews. It is a genuinely stunning property built into the hill (proper cave hotel) and offers amazing views of the city and hot air balloons in the morning. There are a number of terraces you can use - we had no issues getting our own space in the morning to take photos. Memhet is an outstanding host and goes out of his way to make guests feel welcome. The only negative is that the rooms didn't seem to be made up each day so you will need to ask for additional amenities, toilet roll, etc. It's not a huge issue as they are always more than willing to help.
