AnnvilleOutlier (9/5): I got what I paid for and them some. - Chama River Bend Lodge is a rustic lodge with many of the comforts of a regular hotel, including flat-screen TV, microwave oven, refrigerator and coffeemaker, including coffee and condiments. The beds are very comfortable. To my astonishment, the room was cleaned and the bed made every day, which is a service that most hotels have eliminated post pandemic. I recommend the hotel upgrade its keyed locks to electronic for security. I also suggest that it add exterior lighting so that the room wing isn't totally dark at night.

S (10/5): If this is your budget, BOOK NOW!! - We loved our stay in this room, it was budget, yes, BUT it had every single thing we needed. Reception very kind and gave good advice for eating out. Beware - things close early and we did end up using the supermarket on the main road and returning to heat something in the microwave. This was not a problem for us but watch out! loved the look of the cabins and next time will choose one of these. Lovely quiet rural area. Thank you to staff and highly recommend.

The manager was polite enough but we ended up going to a different hotel for our overnight stay. Very disappointing. And then trying to get our money back became quite a chore. We can't really rate this because we did not stay there and the management tried convincing me it was our fault.

Hal (9/5): Very comfortable stay, very responsive staff - The motel-style room had everything I wanted, including a bathtub and a comfortable king-size bed. I stayed three days and rode the Cumbres and Toltec steam railroad. There is little to do in Chama, but I had several good meals and everyone I met was very friendly. The visitor center is highly recommended. A side trip to Pagosa Springs that they suggested was a beautiful drive. The room included a comfortable sofa, but the light over it didn't provide enough light to read. When I complained to the manager, she immediately installed two 60-watt equivalent LED bulbs, so I was able to read a book comfortably on the sofa. I was impressed!

Alexandra (9/5): We had a wonderful stay in Chama Bend Lodge! - We loved location (closeness to the river where our son could play), facilities (playground with swings and a slide, picnic area where we could use our gas stove), perks in the room (coffee and ceramic mugs were very cozy), and wonderful welcoming staff! All is ok!

April (10/5): Exceptional - I always stay here on my trips up there tomeet up with friends. The staff is always so nice and helpfull. Not to mention its just so beautiful.
Summers (10/5): Exceptional - The little studio was nice. I reserved a king but when I talked to the property manager she said booking .com dropped the ball and didn't let them know in time ,but they had a queen studio which was perfectly fine but I did pay for a king .
