Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very comfortable place, friendly hosts; plentiful breakfast.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - There was traffic noise from the road which was noticeable
It was difficult to locate the property because the sign was hard to see.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was the rustic charmthat we loved, the coziness of the room. The whole experience was inviting.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Lack of a shower in the room made normal day to day activity difficult.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was a very cozy room on a very snowy weekend in Minnesota. We enjoyed sitting by the fireside and reading. The breakfasts were wonderful. Steve is a great chef. We plan on visiting again when we visit St Olaf.
- Sharon (10/5): - Quaint house next to the woods close to St Olaf campus. Quiet room, nice bed, great breakfast.
- Rachel (10/5): Nice and comfy - People were lovely, breakfast was lovely. Bed was comfy. Wish we had spent more time relaxing here but we had a wedding to go to
- Gerry (10/5): - The breakfast experience was well worth the time spent
- Amanda (10/5): Warm hosts, great food! - Our hosts, Lisa and Steve were so warm and welcoming. We had access to warm drinks, popcorn and movies in our room. Lisa made chocolate truffles and cookies, which were in our room when we arrived. Breakfast was a three course meal! It was expertly prepared and presented! Beds were so comfortable, better than any hotel!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lives up to its name! - Nestled in the shadow of St. Olaf College is this lovely, quiet property. Be prepared to be pampered with homemade truffles and a wonderful 3-course breakfast. Common rooms and bedroom are beautifully furnished and decorated. Our room did not have an attached bath, but it was literally a few steps away. Tub is sufficient, but not what I would consider deep-soaking/spa quality. The hosts are kind and caring and sincerely care for your well-being. Truly a home away from home experience.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very comfortable but bedroom too hot and dry at night. Delicious home -cooked.breakfast. Convenient location for visiting our daughter at college.
- Henry George (6/5): - Innkeepers were attentive and very nice. We were in the front room, which is noisy from the busy road out front if you need to have the windows open (we did in September). Bathtub is in middle of room, with no shower hanging device; if you like baths, it is fine, but if you want a shower, not so much. Less than a mile from Northfield.. If we stay here again, we would only do so if we could get the back room.
- Marilyn (10/5): Wonderful place to stay ! - Very lovely place to stay...gourmet breakfast ! Large bedroom with king size bed. Very comfortable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great B and B beside St. Olaf's - Great B and B fairly newly opened in a house. Breakfast is to die for - 3 courses. You don't need lunch! Room was nicely furnished - had Keurig coffee maker, popcorn, hot chocolate at top of stairs for the 2 rooms - a very nice touch. Only 2 issues - our room had a free-standing tub/shower in the room - the shower was hard to use. And the outside door "sticks" or "self locks" so one night when we came in about 10:30 p.m. in the rain, we couldn't get in and had to ring and wait some time for the owner to come up and let us in. We were getting a little anxious about being stranded outside. That needs to be fixed.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice in Northfield - Really enjoyed the screened in porch, Wonderful breakfast. Nice room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great B&B right next to St. Olaf College. - Charming home. Lots of nice little touches such as lemonade and cookies left out for guests in rooms. Delicious breakfast. Definitely a nice change from staying in a typical hotel.
