Friendly staff. We were happy with the location - close to public transport or walkable to centre of everything. Had kitchenette facilities but we weren’t really there long enough to use them. Would definitely stay again
• Anthony (10/5): Great Base for Lyon Visit - Good location, just a few minutes walk from Jean Mace and the metro system. Room was great for what I needed, in good condition. Desk staff were really friendly and more than happy to help with advice and suggestions in English that was much, much better than my French. My only MINOR criticism is that, like most hotels, my room didn't have any unused power outlets around the bed or table for charging (or any USB charging ports). It was my first stay with this chain and I'll happily use them again elsewhere.

I did not get a parking spot, but the parking lot outside the park just 100 meters away is a good place for free parking. There is a supermarket just 3-5 minute walk if you prepare to shop and cook.... Anyway, this is a good choice for people who travel with a family, more than three adults.

• Shane (8/5): Nice Hotel - This was a nice clean modern hotel but the location wasn't great for us. Not knowing the city of Lyon we were not sure where to stay. After visiting the city we would have preferred to stay closer to Old Lyon but this place was only a few blocks from the metro and their metro system was easy to get around on. The small but adequate kitchen set up was nice to have and great for a change of having to eat out every meal. We were there for the World Cup games.Air conditioning was OK, but not great which wasn't fun during a record breaking heat wave.

The rooms were a bit spartan, beds were hard, and the bathrooms small, but everything worked and having the small hot plate and fridge was a huge help in keeping us from having to eat out every meal. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the nearest metro and in a kind of industrial area. From the outside it looks like a non-descript industrial building - so don't go there looking for beautiful surroundings. It was a good place for our family of 5 to get to the World Cup games, but did not spend any time in/around the hotel.

I was a bit worried as my room was right by the lift and there were signs up telling people to be quiet, but I didn't hear a thing either night I stayed. The room was basic but comfortable with a nice bed. There is a hot plate and pots if you want to do some cooking. Each room had a balcony which would be nice in the summer. While clean and neat the room could do with a good clean to bring it up to amazing standard. There is little in the surrounding area, but it is not far into the old town of Lyon.
• Matthew (8/5): A good option at a decent price - Excellent front of house staff. Rooms are new and well-appointed. They are spacious and a bit funky looking. It's a very IKEA look which simple, comfortable and functional, however some aspects of the bathroom were not great. The position of the towel rail and the toilet roll holder meant sitting on the loo was not comfortable, I had to sit at an angle and leaning forward. I didn't know it had a fitness room but it is very basic. A few cardio machines and some dumbells in a very pokey room. Breakfast is well supplied but the terrasse where it is served is, again, a bit pokey. The location is pretty good, a quick tram ride to the centre of town and nearby there are shops and services you may need.

Loved my room very spacious, and a nice breakfast buffet available. Taxis and Uber easily accessible to and from the train station. Staff welcoming and spoke excellent English.

They seem to be reasonably priced throughout France and offer good value for money. Our room in Lyon had a balcony which was nice as the weather was nice. Would recommend this location.

Staff were helpful and it was a convenient base for us taking our daughter who was going to study abroad. It wasn’t near to a tram / tube stop so if you can’t walk far it would not suit you. • Theresa (4/5): Dirty and Small - The pictures are very deceiving....the apartments are much smaller then pictured on the website. These apartments are a notch higher then a hostel. First thing i noticed when I walked in was how filthy the room was. I swept the floor with the broom provided and I had a pile of dirt, obviously they don’t put enough effort into cleaning after someone checks out. The bathroom was the same way. Thank god for the grocery store down the street, I was able to buy some bleach products and clean the room....something I would have never expected I would have to do on vacation. Cleaning services during my stay were not provided...I would have thought at least fresh towels but didn’t get that either. I came back to our room with dirty towels still on the floor. The air conditioning in the room barely worked...and the windows would not open. Basically we baked in our room during our stay because they were full and couldn’t offer us another room. The elevator is horrible...tiny and slow. Your better off using the stairs majority of the time. Breakfast is given in a box...not my way of starting out the day. Only positive thing I would add...the staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. It is not their fault this hotel is in poor condition and they tried their hardest to accommodate me and my family.
• Marilyn (10/5): Home away from home. - This is a bare bones type. Hotel. Everything you could ever want is in your large room but nothing fancy. It was clean and in a quiet neighborhood. Restaurants in the area. We ate at an Italian restaurant, right around the corner that was exceptionally good. The room was equipped with a kitichenette. Furniture was IKEA type. I would definitely stay here again. Price was right.

Nice room, some issues with ventilation(A.C. and shower room in April, not mid summer, that should be addressed).Great price to value ratio. Good restaurants and hypermarche nearby. We'd stay again, but get a room with a patio door for air.

The staff were very helpful recommending a place for a business dinner. Breakfast not really offered, just a box of croissants. Overall a good stay and would stay again.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Nice find - Was a nice find, a little out of the main part of the city but walkable. Not much around there in the way of eating choices, especially for breakfast but we were there over the Easter weekend so the places were booked up. Only downside was the parking, the hotel parking was tiny so our car could not fit which meant driving around looking for off-street parking which was impossible over the Easter weekend. Fortunately the hotel staff assisted with a solution and we eventually found a car space. But it meant we were reluctant to move the car or use it while we were there. Hotel was very quiet so restful place and the blackout curtains were fabulous. Shower a bit small but usable.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Pleasant stay! - We initially got a room that smelled like cigarettes but the front desk was quick to respond by assigning us to another room. We found the next room very clean & comfortable. The staff were friendly in responding to our questions about the bus & metro.
• Autumn (10/5): Overall an excellent stay ! - Nice renovated rooms and because it's new everything is quite bright and clean. Resembles to a dorm room although larger. Clientele is young but no complaints about noise whatsoever. Large balcony but did not get to enjoy because I was not there during the day. No place to put your suitcase on but the floor. As I was alone I use one of the night table. My room has a 1 square meter table ; the two chairs are small and probably made of plastic. Remember, there is no daily cleaning. For a 4-6 night stay they would change the towels and empty the waste baskets on the 3rd day, which I declined because I only stayed for 4 nights. I don't know after how many days they would change the bedding. Bathroom a little tight but comes with towel heater, rapid hot water. Nespresso coffee machine with 2 coffee capsules, I am not sure they will be renewed; luckily I brought extra capsules. The best asset would be the very comfortable bed which looks like a king bed to me (about 72"wide). Bed sheets are white and crisp. The location is a little off but I chose it for my own particular reason. However bus routes are almost at the door step. A 20-30-minute walk to a business center and to the Rhone river.

The boxed breakfast was expensive, and we learned after we had paid for a week of breakfasts in advance that we could have walked across the street to a local bakery and gotten the same food for much less. The hotel was quiet and pleasant, but the neighborhood was not convenient to shops, restaurants, and the main tourist areas near the rivers. We walked & walked before we could find a restaurant open! All in all, we enjoyed our stay but would have preferred a better location.

The hotel is newly renovated (work on some floors was still going on), very clean, room spacious with well appointed kitchenette, everything works as it should, from the internet to the drains in the bathroom. Very professional and friendly staff. Limited house keeping. Read the yellow booklet in your room, they explain very clearly what is included, and what to expect. 2 metro stations some 10-15 min walk away, the one at Jean Macee better for the Part Dieu train station. There are also busses closer to the hotel, but didn't have time to check/use them.

• Duncan (10/5): Just what we were after. - My wife and I were in Lyon with our 23year old daughter to visit our son who is at university in Lyon. We needed a seperate bedroom for my daughter as she sleeps in , and Dad likes to get up early and potter about. Staycity was ideal and for less than £100 a night we thought it was very good value. Very clean accomodation with a good shower. The kitchenette is also very useful even though we did eat out for the 5 nights we were there. There is a bakery just round the corner to pick up fresh breakfast, and there is also a supermarket 5 minutes walk away. In short, a great location!!
• Brittany (10/5): 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!!! - This hotel was incredible from the start! The room was beyond spacious and clean. The shower was incredible, balcony super clean, and service superb. Hands down a perfect place to call our home away from home in Lyon!

• MR M (10/5): Excellent - This apart hotel has everything that you need for a very pleasant stay. The front desk staff are excellent and all speak perfect English. Nothing is too much trouble and they are very knowable about the area. The rooms are fully stocked , spotless and with very comfortable beds. We would definitely stay here again.

Small kitchen had just about everything, shower was great. Not only a great place for a family to stay, great price for a family on a limited travel budget.
