• Verified traveler (8/5): Good Spa Hotel - It was a nice stay. The place is in good condition and it's comfortable. We had dinner at the restaurant and food was really good. However I expected more choices in the Breakfast service, like hot food (scrambled eggs, pancakes, hash brown) and higher quality cheeses. Also, was surprised that the indoor pool was cold. At this time of year, a warm indoor pool is really an expected option.
• Kristina (10/5): - We spent one night there after our small civil marriage ceremony. Breathtaking location. Outside the golf season, so it was very quiet and intimate. Staff were super attentive. Dinner was exquisite. We can't wait to return!

• Sergio (10/5): - I stayed here 2 years ago and all was as expected EXCEPT for the dining menu! One of the reasons why I returned was to enjoy dinner, and I booked for two nights. I actually left the property and went down the road and bought a pizza😏 Last time I stayed, the mussels were out of this world! And so was the steak dinner with the best mushrooms I’ve had at any other fine dining restaurant. I’m a chef of 25 years, and the menu was the ONLY disappointment, including the breakfast menu, but that was still good for a complimentary breakfast. ** ( included with the cost of staying)** I did have to call the day after I checked out to have my $100.00 credit card deposit reimbursed. Just an honest review.

Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été séduits par la beauté de l'endroit, entouré de paysages magnifiques et offrant une multitude d'activités. Nous avons eu l'occasion de faire du paddle, du kayak, du pédalo et de profiter de superbes randonnées. Chaque journée était remplie de découvertes et de plaisir.La nourriture était un véritable délice, avec des plats savoureux et bien présentés. Le restaurant de l'hôtel a su ravir nos papilles à chaque repas. Les installations pour la baignade étaient également agréables, bien que nous ayons noté un léger manque de serviettes disponibles, ce qui pourrait être amélioré.Cependant, quelques détails mériteraient d'être ajustés pour une expérience parfaite. Les tapis dans le corridor menant à notre chambre dégageaient une odeur un peu désagréable, ce qui contrastait avec le reste de l'hôtel, si bien entretenu. De plus, l'accueil à la réception aurait pu être un peu plus chaleureux. Un sourire et un accueil plus convivial auraient ajouté une touche de confort supplémentaire à notre séjour. Malgré ces petits inconvénients, notre week-end fut un véritable succès, et nous garderons un excellent souvenir de cet hôtel et de tout ce qu'il a à offrir. Un lieu où l'on peut vraiment se détendre et profiter de la nature tout en savourant une cuisine délicieuse.

La porte patio fait un bruit assourdissant et glisse difficilement et l’air climatisée ne fournit pas. Les portes sont à clé standard et difficiles à débarrer. Continental breakfast was excellent with deli meats, boiled eggs and pastries as well as the usual cereals and offerings. Fresh fruit 🍎. Lauded berries which you normally do not get. By 4 the second day we had to ask for housekeeping and reception made a call to bring cleaner back to our room. There is a bar fridge, mic and dishes for 4, soap but no dish clothes or dish clothes to do the dishes. I would recommend this resort for adults and families.

• Caroline (4/5): - The Hotel is old, it can use an upgrade, on many levels. The smell of when you walked into the room, was damp, musty . The elevator was cleaned with ammonia. The room was left a bit untidy The safe lock is was missing ,to be told at check out the key and lock was at the front desk??? There’s no safety latch on the door. If I would have been by myself, I wouldn’t felt safe. The pool was not cleaned. The hot tub was warm, not its usual temperature. There was no water dispenser. Today everyone is carrying a water bottle. Not impressed, will not return. Will not recommend

The small indoor pool is not properly heated. Although the staff who were working were friendly, they were clearly short-staffed and our room was not refreshed after the first night even though we repeatedly made the request.
• Sara (8/5): - The property itself was beautiful with waterfalls, tall trees and a clear swimmable small lake, with a dock to jump from. There were lots of boats including pédalo, kayaks and paddle boards to enjoy the lake. The included breakfast had many delicious options, usually cold but there was a golf group that ordered hot so we got the hot options too 😊 the indoor pool and outdoor hot tubs were well maintained and a great option when the boys were tired out from the lake. There was a massive gym with basketball, ping pong, air hockey and weights area. The room was dated but spacious. The service and food at dinner were left to be desired. There were 2 restaurants 5 minutes away from the hotel that were fantastic and well-priced (Resto 367 and the pizza place across the road). We will be back!

The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, providing a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. Dinner at the restaurant was OK but overpriced for what you got. The breakfasts were underwhelming and served on paper plates with plastic cutlery. The views and location were spectacular.

• Sherri Lynn (6/5): - I emailed to say that we were celebrating our anniversary and asked for suggestions. I never got a return on the request not even when I asked the front desk clerk. We arrived early so we asked for keys for the kayaks and were provided two keys that did not work on kayaks, it was frustrating. We ended up swapping with other guests to avoid a second trip to the reception. I feel that the property is affordable but is dated. The beds made noise, the air conditioner filter in room 232 needs to be changed, I needed my asthma pump. Most important, we reserved at the restaurant and just ordered salads with grilled chicken. My chicken was cold not warm and flies were all over our plates. I could not eat the salad too many flies. We explained this to the waiter who said yah I know.... so we just ate our desserts but we were charged for everything $116 for two desserts, soda and two beers. In general the property could use a little more cleaning the rooms felt old and unclean. We had spiders. The areas in general felt damp and musty. The life jackets are full of mold, we opted not to use them, the kayak seats are coming off, the jacuzzi was sort of working but would not heat up. The lake and grounds were beautiful and we really enjoyed the fire at night. If you are looking for economy, affordability with dated facilities, this is your place. If you are not picky, you will have a nice time. If you have asthma bring your pump.

• JENNIFER (10/5): - Hôtel Lac Carling in Grenville-sur-Rouge is a beautiful oasis. We were traveling with two tiny dogs and were advised in advance that we would get a first floor room with a sliding door, allowing easy access to the lawn for walks. We had a small, but lovely patio with tables, chairs and there was even a picnic table with gas grill! There were plenty of picnic tables, grills for any guests to make use of during their stay. The front desk had BBQ tools for guest use. They also had plenty of outdoor activities for families with children and teens to access to keep them occupied. And for the adults - golf! We were surprised to have free access to a number of kayaks, paddle boats, and SUPs on the teeny lake on the property. After a truly gorgeous sunset paddle, we were pleased to see a lakeside campfire had been started to watch the moonrise over the water. Outdoor hot tubs! They provided a lovely continental breakfast until 11 AM, which was appreciated since we don't set an alarm on vacation! The staff are bilingual, as most Québecois are, and everyone was very polite and accommodating. They gave every impression of being a team that enjoys each other's company and wants every guest to enjoy their stay. What more can you ask for? Our room was very clean and tidy. We were within reasonable driving distance from Montréal(1.5 hrs) for those who need a more urban adventure. *Pay attn to pro driving tip: avoid Scotch Rd at all costs* Want peace? Go to Lac Carling!

• Michael (8/5): - This is a beautiful property. Unique and elegant with an excellent golf course. There is a spa and indoor pool as well. However, there is not a great variety of activities for families or those who do not play golf.

• Denis (10/5): - Staff very helpful l with takeout order mixups and dealt favourably with consequences which were not their fault. Room was older and entrance door sticking and had to be slammed shut making it almost impossible not to disturb my partner and possibly others.
• Venkatesh (8/5): - Though it was mentioned as free EV charging, we need to carry our own Charger. They will only provide electric outlet to connect. The property is very old but they tried their best to maintain the heritage. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Chef was down to earth and was there during the whole of breakfast time to answer any of our questions.
