She goes above and beyond to make your stay wonderful with delicious breakfast every morning, laundry service. The location is unbeatable for the best restaurants, good, and close to the beach, it is in a bustling neighborhood which can be loud but with the windows closed tight I could barely hear anything. The shower pressure was TOP notch! We would 100% stay here again in Donostia-SB. We felt like family. Highly recommend for the price and experience
• Margaret (8/5): - Fun place. Ann was extraordinary. She was extremely accommodating letting us drop our bags early, she has many goodies stocked in the kitchen and even did our laundry. The place itself is in the heart of the old town. The rooms are very small, and it is a shared bathroom situation. We had a great time, but keep in mind this like a bit like a hostel for older folks. Not fancy at all.

The ‘jefe’ Anne runs the place and she is great—very helpful, and she also supplied homemade cheesecake for breakfast, which was a nice touch.

• Mathieu (10/5): Un super sejour, une hote geniale, merci! - Le sejour s’est tres bien passé, l’emplacement est tres central ce qui permet de tout faire a pied et de visiter cette magnifique ville simplement. Anne est quelqu’un de sympathique, toujours la pour aider, conseiller, et partager sa bonne humeur. Les chambres sont convenables et le petit dejeuner superbe. Les prestations incluses sont sans equivalent, merci pour ce super sejour!

Den rustika frukosten var också mycket uppskattad! Långt ifrån lyxhotellens stil, mer familjärt och enkelt. Värdinnan var helt charmerande och vi återvänder gärna inte minst för hennes skull!
• Esteban (6/5): :) - Una experiencia diferente. Se debe estar consiente que es una pensión y no un hotel u hostal. Anne, la dueña del establecimiento, muy simpática y peculiar. El lugar está en una zona de san Sebastián ideal para pasear a pie y bien conectada con el transporte público de la región (al ser una zona céntrica hay mucho ruido en las calles que se escucha en los cuartos). Lo recomiendo siempre y cuando se espere una experiencia sencilla y sustentable.

I dropped a thing on floor and discovered the dusts accumulated under the bed a wrapper and dusts stuck on curtain floor the floor was filthy.

Bonus that she makes a delicious breakfast in the morning! Could not recommend Pension Anne enough!

• Alan (10/5): - It was clean, safe, right in the middle of town and the host, Anne, was very helpful and fun to talk to. She only speaks a little English, but is happy to muddle through your efforts at Spanish. Her daughter speaks perfect English and is sometimes available to help if you need to get something across. There have been reviews which spoke about the noise of the pension, with a bar in the courtyard below, but with the window closed there was not much noise at all in my unit and I stayed from a Thursday to a Tuesday. I highly recommend this place. Oh, and they do your laundry, which I was not expecting, but was very kind.

Toilette /salle de bain partagée avec 3 autres chambres. Espace petit dej (préparé maison par l’hôte par ailleurs très sympathique. Check in facile en se coordonnant en amont avec l’hôte. Forcément du bruit à l’extérieur la nuit (on est dans le vieux San Sebastian) et lorsque les chambres sont occupées L’hôte a un accord avec un parking souterrain à proximité ce qui vous permettra d’obtenir une belle réduction

The facilities and ambiance are excellent and good value for money. Parking is available close by, at a discount through the pension.

Our room had a bathroom, which we booked for so I was a bit surprised when they What’s App to say that they changed our room so we got one with bathroom. I’d check in with them via What’s App just to confirm what room was booked. They always promptly respond. Anne was beyond gracious!! Our breakfast every morning was stellar! She’s such a sweetheart!! She offered to do our laundry! So accommodating. Our room was so central we couldn’t be more happy. We stayed on the opposite last time so we enjoyed being in the thick of things. The room was no frill and clean. Noise wasn’t an issue. Yes it’s noisy but what isn’t there? Do you know what year those buildings were built? Bring earplugs! Thank you Anne!! I hope your arm heals well and it was an absolute please at your pension!
• Evan (8/5): - Cool little "hostel" style property in old town. The host Anne was awesome, she did some of our laundry and made breakfast for us and the other rooms each morning! We originally booked a room with a private bathroom but it was not available until the 3rd night that we were there so we used the shared bathroom. Everything was very clean and safe. Being in old town on the weekend it was definitely loud at night but nothing some earplugs couldn't fix.

Fun loving and full of life, she will answer all of your questions and if she does not know she will ask her relatives or friends for the answer. The room is simple but adequate, the breakfast is made to order with much of the produce coming from family and friends farms. It’s not a hotel but you are welcomed into a well run home. We will be back for sure.

La dame qui tient l’auberge est adorable et très accueillante, l’ambiance est bon enfant et conviviale, c’est une pension et non un hôtel, donc ce n’est pas impersonnel, au contraire, il y a des gels douche et shampoing, sèche cheveux, tout ce qu’il faut dans les salles de bain partagées, les boules quies sont offertes si besoin (la vieille ville est bruyante et la chambre donnait sur un bar, mais j’ai tout de même très bien dormi), et le petit déjeuner est offert ! The apartment is located in the heart of the old town which is very convenient but on the downside be prepared for a lot of noise outside, we read the other comments and went prepared with ear plugs, which was fine. It could have been a little cleaner and some better pillows. The other thing was we didn't realise it was shared bathrooms.

Die Zimmer sind sauber und individuell gestaltet, die Lage ist perfekt - man darf sich allerdings nicht an der Geräuschkulisse aus den umliegenden Restaurants stören. Anne ist eine tolle Gastgeberin, wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

• Bengt (10/5): - My stay at Pension Anne was absolutely fantastic. This is largely due to Mrs. Anne and her family's fantastic hospitality. I have rarely experienced such generous and accommodating treatment. Anne is very nice and makes sure that your visit is as good as possible. The guesthouse's location is perfect, in the middle of the old town and close to everything. The rooms are good and there is no problem sharing a bathroom. Breakfast is served and there is always access to coffee/tea and other drinks, very convenient. I also want to give a personal thank you to Anne and her son and daughter who helped me when I had an accident. Your help made life much easier in a boring situation.

I stayed two nights and felt very safe here as a female solo traveller. The location was perfect to explore San Sebastian, and the pension had all I needed to a comfortable stay. The breakfast was also a wonderful perk. I would definitely stay here again if I was back in San Sebastian. Thank you Anne and your daughter. ❤️

• michael (10/5): Lovely hostess in Central Location - Anne and her daughter were amazing hosts. Complimentary laundry and excellent breakfasts. Nothing too much bother for Anne and I would recommend staying at her pension to anyone. Ceiling fans are a welcome substitution to air con. I only 2 negatives to mention - 1. The pension is very central and located above several bars/takeaways, so it's noisy (so Anne provides complimentary ear plugs) and 2. The pension is on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. Other than that I look forward to seeing Anne again when we return to San Sebastián.

Important to phone the host a couple of hours ahead of your arrival as the booking system does not always alert them to your arrival.

• Caithlin (6/5): - The host was delightful! So friendly and happy and very helpful. The hotel is listed as a 1 star hotel which is accurate. It’s a traditional ‘pension’ so you share facilities such as the bathroom and kitchen. Being in a beautiful old building, there are no elevators, so you need to carry your luggage up to the third floor which can be an effort. The room was relatively clean and bed was somewhat comfortable. Sheets were clean but I don’t think the room had seen a vacuum cleaner in a while. We were told breakfast was included but we didn’t see any breakfast - maybe we missed something in the communications. There was a little kitchen that contained some basics which we could eat/drink which was nice. The surrounding area is the Old Town which is pinxtos party time on the weekends, so it’s quite noisy at night. Most places close and it gets quiet around 1-2am though.

Rommet var ikke beregnet for 2 personer. Renholdet var kritikkverdig. Svært lytt mellom rommene. Alt var utslitt. Vettinna var en opplevlse i seg selv. Vi hadde bestilt 3 netter, men dro etter 2. Altfor kostbart i forhold til fasiliteter
• Yulia (4/5): - This host is something else. She doesn't understand privacy. She also made racist comments about non-white guests at the property. She calls non-stop on whatsapp if she needs something from you. The promised breakfast happened sporadically. She would take barely used towels from the room and not give a fresh one. The pillows were disgusting (brown and stained) and the sheets and towels had dirty streaks on them. To top it all, I got my food stolen from the fridge. Would not recommend. It's better to cough up a bit more money and stay at a cleaner place where the host is a reasonable human and understand privacy.

• Claire (6/5): - Not the cleanest or most modern accommodation, but Anne was lovely! She was very helpful at getting settled in and recommending parking. The included breakfast was a real bonus. There was a little confusion over the checking in! Apparently Anne tried to contact me ahead, but I didn't recieve anything...
• Verified traveler (8/5): Great location and reasonable service - Excellent for; Great location at the heart of the old city is San Sebastian. Wide room with comfortable bed. Noted; Very noisy with loud music till mid night around 2 am. Strongly recomends to have earplugs. Limited hot water from shower only for 5 min, and it becomes cold water, take care.
• Ioanna (4/5): - We booked for a triple room with private bathroom. We went there only to find that only double rooms have private bathrooms. What they meant was that only us could use a bathroom right opposite our room. But of course, half the rooms in the floor were using the same bathroom...
• Emily (8/5): - Perfect location, city central. Hosts were really lovely, it was a shared bathroom but it was only us on our floor so we had the bathroom to ourselves.
