- Renae (8/5): - There for a wedding at the barn across the hotel. The hotel has a cool appearance of a huge barn. The lobby has a nice little set up with a little bar are, a little convenience store area, breakfast, & lounge. The gentleman working was NOT friendly nor had overly great customer service. I stood there for what seemed like 5 minutes without being acknowledged while he highlighted all the guest sheets of where people needed to initial and sign when checking in. The rooms are super cute but the carpets could use a good cleaning if not be replaced. The breakfast in the morning was good and had a nice variety of things to choose from. Overall a nice little hotel!

I appreciated the free breakfast and was glad that there was a bar on site. The morning staff seemed a bit cranky. Breakfast was fine, but the microwave was disgusting.

- linda (8/5): We will definitely return to this great area and stay at Lakes Inn at Dunvilla again. - The front desk staff, Manager Robert, and housekeeping staff on the 2nd floor were very cordial and courteous and accommodating, from changing rooms to getting a new shower curtain. The breakfast was quite good and the staff made sure it was well replenished as needed. The location is very convenient to downtown Pelican Rapids and the surrounding areas. We were lucky to be there on a Thursday evening to listen to music in the barn and grab a bite from several food trucks on the property. The rooms were nice, spacious and comfortable having a chair or in the suite a sofabed. Each room had a microwave, refrigerator. The carpet in the room could have been a little cleaner and the shower needed a little attention, which was promptly remedied by the staff.

Bob at the front desk is super accommodating. Go for a hike at Maplewood, eat at the Cornfield Cafe, and then settle in for hot tub and pizza and movies!

- Charles (10/5): Love the Lakes Inn at Dunvilla - Our party had 5 rooms for 5 days and our stay was GREAT! Rooms are very well soundproofed. Never heard a sound from outside the rooms even with our raucous group and two wedding groups in residence. Staff was awesome, with a special shout out to Carlos, who went WAY above and beyond for us. The rooms are great, with the only issues, which we all agreed on, were the bathtubs are EXTREMELY slippery and need more anti-slip strips. None of us felt comfortable in, or getting out of, the shower! When your designation is "senior citizen" slippery is bad. The bathroom also needs a towel rack/hook in reach of the shower. Our only other issue was they ran out of cereal, milk, fruit, etc for breakfast. noticeable when you're there five days. Also, a special recommendation for the Corn Field...Eat there, close by, awesome prices, awesome food, awesome service, blah, blah, blah. In short, HIGHLY recommended the Lakes Inn for your stay in the area.

- Jodi (8/5): I highly recommend this hotel!! - My first stay, I very much appreciated the openness of the lobby area, very welcoming. My room was very clean, I’m a huge advocate of that, the mattress was very firm and helped with a great nights rest! The decor of the room was bright and cozy, and easy to accommodate for sleeping. Large bathroom/shower was MUCH appreciated. I didn’t take in for the breakfast area but will try next time.

- CLIFFORD (10/5): One of the best places we have stayed. - Wonderful place we would definitely stay here again and most likely will.It was quiet, clean, beds were wonderful. Very easy to get around to different areas. The price for our stay was reasonable.
- Julia (10/5): A gem of a place - Beautiful area with views of the marshland. Very comfortable stay and friendly help. Felt very safe with covid distancing in place. The stairwells had cosy game & reading areas.

- Ruth (10/5): - I have a lakehouse on Pelican Lake about 5 miles away and wanted to preview the hotel for future guest overflow (plus I was in the mood to relax at a jacuzzi and pool instead of the constant work one finds at a lakeshore property). I’ve paid triple the rate elsewhere for not as nice facilities. It has a new fresh smell, everything is modern/upscale and it is so quiet.... my room had a lush green meadow view. Robert was a welcoming and helpful check-in person. Free hot breakfast delivered to your room. A serene countryside oasis close to Pelican Rapids, across the street from Dunvilla’s Cornfield Cafe and about 15 minutes south of Detroit Lakes. I would love to escape to this little gem of a place again and again.
- Kristi (10/5): Superb!!! - Absolutely amazing! Staff was friendly and super helpful. Made it feel like we were the only ones there. Made pizza and delivered it to our room. Helped us get a firepit going by providing woods, paper, & lighter. Made a hot breakfast for us when we were ready. Super comfy bed and very quiet and great decor. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. Definitely will be back!
- Bethany (10/5): Dunvilla - The hotel is only a year old, so as expected in very nice condition. Very comfortable and cozy. There was only one staff when we checked in a little later Friday night; she was friendly and tending to all guests on her own. Breakfast was good! Would definitely stay again :)
- Corey (8/5): Not great, but good. - We were staying for a wedding that was held next door. Very convenient. Check in was great and quick. The room was large and very well laid out. However, the housekeeping staff was fairly young or not that focused on details. The mirror needed another swipe and for such a new place it kinda needs a deep cleaning already. Beds were comfortable and temp of the room was easily maintained and all appliances worked well. Overall, I would stay here again.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great boutique-feel hotel in the middle of lakes country Minnesota. Very quiet stay in the winter time with beautiful views of the river and fields around us. Very comfortable beds and good breakfast including many hot and cold choices. Very friendly staff at the desk. I would recommend it to anyone.
