- Diana (10/5): We were in town for a softball tournament and it was very conviently located fo the fields and anything else we ended up - Cleanliness & Friendly staff Nothing
- John (6/5): Ok - Good breakfast clean rooms Still waiting for my security deposit to be returned
- Kristi (7/5): - I wasn’t sure what to expect since this was my very first stay at an Econo Lodge, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised! Everything about my stay was much better than I expected. Boaz doesn’t have many hotel options, and we were in town for a wedding, so choices were limited.
I’ve stayed in luxury brands like Hilton and Marriott, and while this property is not that level, it was clean, comfortable, and a great value. The staff was friendly, the room was well-kept, and we had a very good experience overall.
I would absolutely recommend this Econo Lodge to anyone visiting Boaz, and I would stay here again if I’m ever back in the area. Elevator did not work therefore we had to tote luggage up two flights of stairs.
- Roger (5/5): Didn’t eat breakfast on second day. Went to Jacks - The coffee and juices were good Eggs and sausage were over cooked
- Lennard (4/5): It was my only option at the time but wouldn't voluntarily choose it again. - The staff was unorganized and unprofessional; they were overbooked and had to shuffle me into someone else's room whom they were hoping would not show up. The Clerk announced both for me and the people in front of me that our cards had been declined she then later elaborated saying it was a common issue caused by booking.com that she could take care of it. Then why announce it, why cause the confusion. The rooms are dated, and the ac was off when I first walked in causing the room to feel claustrophobic.
- Kadence (1/5): Left immediately - I didn’t like anything I didn’t like how there was an open box of condoms in my room when i checked in and the bed was unmade.
- James (10/5): - Very clean, comfortable bed, Breakfast hot on weekends. Some Doors where you park on the back to unload close to your room needs fixed so card will open.
- Corey (8/5): -
- London (1/5): - Didn’t like the location. Room was very small.
- Daniel (7/5): Good value for the price paid. - Did not eat breakfast because on weekdays only cereal and pastries. Coffee was good grabbed a couple of bananas. Convenience cleanliness. Options to eat out.
- Susana (7/5): -
- Craft (10/5): -
- Kyle (6/5): -
- JRJR17 (1/5): - Location Dirty and uncomfortable and broken curtains in room. I reported it, but nothing was done about it.
- AMY (8/5): Comfortable, clean place to stay on a budget. - Cleanliness, friendly staff Parking lot was dark, cramped, empty buildings next to it…
- Olivia (8/5): -
- Alexis (10/5): The stay was good my family will definitely be back - Cleanliness, breakfast, quite, staff were amazing
- Nate (6/5): Over priced for such a run down motel. - Not much to like at all It was messy, carpet was moldy, breakfast was disgusting. Way over priced.
- Skyler (7/5): -
- Alaina (8/5): A good stay that I would definitely stay at again. - The location and the friendly staff! The air in my room wouldn’t cool down the room. It would kick on and run for a few minutes but never cool down.
- Kelsey (6/5): - The bed was comfortable It smelled like weed in the halls and rooms and just felt like it could have been alittle cleaner in the kitchen area and room
- Shaunda (10/5): -
- Amanda (10/5): - Comfortable beds Shower head was not to good, hot water was great!!
- Shore (10/5): - Very friendly staff. Well kept hotel.
- jack (8/5): Needed a place close to a wedding in Another town this was the closest - Clean comfortable All was ok
- Katherine (1/5): - Location The staff are unfriendly and discriminatory towards handicapped
- Cherron (7/5): The staff was nice and the place was clean and comfortable beds. Only complaint was the room above us you could hear eve - We were in a downstairs room and you could hear every step the above room made.
- JANICE (10/5): -
- Jessica (6/5): -
- Marty (8/5): - Room rate was commensurate with property condition
- Kimmi (2/5): - Old, dark, hard to find, poor parking, not clearly marked with only a small sign in busy highway and then no follow up. One lamp in the corner of the room was all for light. Other fixtures missing. Repairs made poorly by amateurs.
- Felisha (10/5): Everything from the room to the staff was AMAZING!!!! - Even though it was located conveniently close to everything it was back off the main road.
- Cameron (6/5): - Good
- Kenneth (6/5): - Broken drawers in room
Closet broken clothes bar
Tears in the carpet
- Melody (10/5): - The front desk offered to help me carry in my luggage. That goes above and beyond regular customer service, that is down right awesome. The room is spotless, the appliances are brand new, and they have continental breakfast included in the room price. Best of all the breakfast includes waffles. Boaz is well worth the trip, it has it all plus so much more!
- Donna (8/5): - The room was clean and appears to be updated. However there is no elevator and the stairs were dirty. The side door though there was a key entrance was actually kept unlocked which made us feel a little unsafe due to the area it is in. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was some fruit but mostly continental type food, sweets, etc. not something we were able to eat because of health reasons.
- Vanessa (10/5): - Everything was great! There's a good choice of restaurants nearby and a Walmart right down the street. If you are in the area Tues.-Sat. you should definitely visit Mill Street Deli, the Mill Street Club is the best sandwich ever!
- Mindy (7/5): -
- Michelle (10/5): - The hotel was very clean the staff was super friendly and great , it was quiet and comfortable. The only thing we did not like is no elevator and there is an old abandoned burnt hotel next door to the parking lot .
- Faye (10/5): - The owner and one of the staff helped us load our luggage and was very friendly and helpful. The evening clerk who checked us in was great .
- Jessica (3/5): -
- Blankis1230 (10/5): -
- Leanne (1/5): The staff wasn’t like it used to be a lot of miscommunication - Everything was fine except the staff The staff and miscommunication
- Jennifer (8/5): Rooms clean worth the value. - It was very clean. The people above us were very loud on our last night there.
- Karen (10/5): - I really like Lucy at the check-in desk. This was my second time here and working with her. She is very informative and kind. Great at her job too!
- Peths (10/5): Exceptional -
- Junior (5/5): Passable -
- Morgan (4/5): Ok. - Price. And it was clean False info. Requested extra bed. Got there and they said they didn’t have any roll away beds. Even though they responded ok to my messages requesting one
- Mary (10/5): - The place itself was great, and everyone was very friendly. The rooms were clean and supplied with shampoo and conditioner which definitely helped if you did not want to drag things along. The town itself is incredibly small, so if you are looking for a place to get away, Boaz is the town. Looking at where the location of this hotel was, I was not quite sure if it would be safe at first. The other hotel in town definitely was not in a safer area either. However, the people were great and my stay was great!
- Elizabeth (6/5): - When I got there, its right next abandoned buildings its decieving they took just the right angle photos to cut out all the plus after seeing some reviews from past i asked about bugs the let me look in room before i got in there. There was no bugs but it was left dirty atleast for my standards and the main cleaning person seemed ill i even brought it up. She had them clean me another room. i have photos of first room just left on floor under bed, dirty grease prints left in shower on shampoo and conditioner so it was lazy cleaning. so it was about 40 minutes of wait time. this room was better the drawer where tv sits continuously would open by itself but other than that it was cleaner. now when i when i went to check out today i wasnt greeted with a smile or how was your stay even though it was same woman who booked me. she just said your checking out and i said yup. i just would think they would make point t/We did not feel safe here leaving stuff in the car.
- Greg (10/5): Will recommend and stay again - Great value for the price Friendly staff. Accessible and convenient
- Greg (10/5): Exceptional -
- De (8/5): Very good -
- Harriet (9/5): We had a nice visit - It’s very clean and the beds are comfortable It has some wear and it is dated. The property next to it is a little disturbing but the area is safe.
- Tara (10/5): - Property don’t look the best but the rooms bathroom and all were really clean. Bed was so comfortable.
- Kimberly (6/5): - the staff was great! no complaints there at all!
the hotel is quite old. the second floor doesnt have ac in hallway, so its very stuffy in halls, but the room ac gets really cold!
there is no elevator. ive never encountered that at a hotel before. theres an abandoned hotel right next door and looks really creepy. beds were comfy. was fine for a few days
- Allen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carol (8/5): I was over charged now im fighting to get my money back - Close to my event They charged my debit card after it was paid already through Booking.com using Klarna
- Linda (10/5): - Nice, clean place. Just right for a good night's sleep.
- michael (10/5): - Nice place. Close to food and gas..
- Anthony (2/5): Very poor -
- Luna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ciara (10/5): Good stay - The staff was very friendly upon arrival. The room was clean and comfortable. It’s a bit outdated but I didn’t expect it to be a 5 star luxury hotel. I didn’t eat the breakfast but it looked like a normal hotel breakfast. I would stay here again if I ever traveled to the area again.
- Derryl (10/5): - Staff was very accommodating!
- Osvaldo (8/5): Very good -
- Tori (2/5): - The hotel charges a 100 dollar deposit that is not expressed on the website even when you pay with a card and book in advance which is refunded 10 days later. Ridiculous
- Phillips (10/5): Exceptional - Rooms
- Johnna (4/5): Hotel nice, staff service sucks - The hotel was good, the room clean. Huge issues was that I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights and the total was little more than $300 but the hotel charged me over $500 saying that I didn’t booked the rooms for 2 nights. The hotel manager was not helpful at all about the situation and said she couldn’t help me with the booking.
- Amy (10/5): - The staff was very friendly and polite. The rooms were nice and well stocked and everything was clean.
- Stormy (8/5): - The staff was so kind! The only downfall was the breakfast not being very good but overall we have a great stay and will be staying again.
- Amanda (10/5): - Very polite, nice neat and clean
- Verified traveler (6/5): It was a place to sleep - Clean rooms, friendly service, pitiful breakfast. About what you'd expect from a budget hotel.
- Dan (10/5): I would definitely stay there again when in that area. - It was a nice Econo Lodge and obviously well cared for by the owner. The price was very attractive and the morning breakfast very adequate. All good.
- Kayla (8/5): Very good -
- William (10/5): - What a wonderful surprise! Extremely clean, manicured and hospitable! Best bang for the buck of any place I’ve ever stayed!
- Wanderer51296478390 (4/5): Rooms not cleaned/couldnt flush toilet - Checked in around 9pm with no issues. There were a couple random people laying in the hall charging phones There are no elevators and was on second floor once entering room immediately noted that room had not been cleaned. The towels were in the floor, the bed was unmade. Had to carry all luggage back down stairs was issued a new room again upstairs. Once entering new room it was clean however the toilet had no handle and had to pick top up to flush. The shelf was broke and hanging off. The dresser drawers would not close. The dresser was very off balance. At this time my family was exhausted and we decided to just go to sleep. I will not stay at this hotel again.
- Johnathan (4/5): - Weird smell, no water pressure, shower head only worked on one setting, shower curtain too short and water went all over bathroom floor. even though I prepaid when I got there had to put another 100 for deposit which won't be refunded for 3-5 days.
- David (8/5): Very good -
- MadgeH705 (10/5): Wow! I was amazed! - Wow! I was amazed!
We were a bit reluctant booking an Econo Lodge but their rate was good and we could take our Shihpoo Dandy.
We arrived late afternoon and initially were a bit thrown off by the derelict, possibly being gutted and reconstituted, structure next door. Pay that no attention!
The hotel was an excellent find, especially for the price! Lobby: clean with soft seating. Dining area: clean with multiple seating and tv. Staff: friendly and efficient. Hallways: spotless. Room: was a complete surprise. Looked newly refurbished (but hadn’t been, we later discovered) Very clean! I mean, very!! I felt like cleaning up after myself when we checked out, and even did wipe off the counters, etc, out of respect to the staff. You can immediately tell the folks managing and working in this motel care about it and their guests. I used to own and operate several bed & breakfasts and I see things others may not. This place was beyond my expectations.
Here are a few extra features in the room I found especially unique. Not only were there bedside, wall mounted lamps on either side of the bed, leaving completely open space on the bedside tables, but there was also a separate, pinpoint reading light. Love it as I am a late night reader. Also, mounted on the wall within the same dual light fixture were two outlets and a usb port for charging.
Then, in the bathroom, the wall mounted hairdryer had a built in night light! We often travel with night lights so we don’t get disoriented when navigating to the bathroom in the night. This addition was a feature I had never seen before. I wish I had taken a photo. Sorry.
Refrigerator and microwave in the room were both spotless and made not a sound.
Bed was very comfortable. We requested a blanket and were quickly given a comforter. Perfect.
We didn’t partake of the breakfast items other than grabbing a banana and clementine plus coffee. Coffee was the only thing I wasn’t crazy about.
We met the head of housekeeping as well as Mr. Patel, the owner, and were able to tell them personally how much we thought of their hotel.
So, if you are hesitating booking this place, don’t. We believe the $100 added deposit at check-in helps to insure that guests are responsible and treat the facility with care. It shows!
Well done. Thanks for a very pleasant stay, Mr. Patel.
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - We love this motel and choose it every time we are in the area. The bed was too high and too hard. It's hard for elderly people to get in a high bed. And the bed needs to be soft not hard.
