Guest Reviews
- Tod (2/5): - The owner suck and is greedy ..wants cash transactions
- margalit (8/5): - This was an absolutely stunning place. I was not paying attention to the fact that it is not in El Nido proper, so I didn't get enough time to actually enjoy it, but I do highly recommend staying here if a hideaway cabin literally on the beach and away from civilization is what you are looking for
- Verified traveler (2/5): Remote, remote area!!! - Location was significantly distant (approximately 3 hours from the city)
Service/product quality did not meet expected standards
Requesting a refund due to unsatisfactory experience
- KajaK466 (10/5): Cute and characteristic, very welcoming - Very characteristic, beautiful and quiet corner of Palawan! Great food, extremely nice host and cute bamboo cabins. The host family makes you feel like home in a moment. They also speak very good English, so you can satisfy all your curiosity on where to go, what to see and what's life about in this cute corner of the Philippines.
- UriRV (8/5): A few days surrounded by nature in front of the beach - If you are looking for a quiet place to spend a few days surrounded by nature in front of the beach and away from the crowds of El Nido, this is your place.
I came here mainly because of diving with manta rays. This very simple Filipino-style hotel is placed in between the only two scuba diving shops in the area. If you are looking for luxury, don't come here. You only will find simple rooms in front of the beach surrounded by nature with a delicious local-run restaurant.
The a/c rooms are larger than the fun room I stayed in. But for my backpack standards, the room was good enough for a couple of diving days.
By the way, the Wifi quality was great, I was surprised about that.

- Sandrine (8/5): - We had a nice Stay at Floresita’s. The resort is on the beachfront of quiet Sibaltan town, about 1 hour from El Nido town. The view is nice and there are benches, hammocks and chairs on the beach. However you have to walk far to swim as the tide is low. The huts were basic and small (only bed and bathroom with no door) but fine for their purpose of only sleeping there at night. This place is perfect for resourceful travellers who want to experience “simple life/camping” experience. Electricity at night, no wifi when we were there and barely any network. It felt good to disconnect! However you might want to plan your next destination before you get there! The staff was friendly and helpful to some extent, especially for scooter rental as well as arranging our transport to and from the resort. The included breakfast was simple but good. We overall had a positive experience and would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff is absolutely amazing. I literally felt like family being there. They are wonderful. The room was clean and the property was beautiful. If you want a place to relax and get away this is it. At night the waves hitting the beach were peaceful. They have several different options of rooms and have a magnificent view of the beach. I will return. The staff really make this place one of a kind. I literally felt like I was leaving family.
- palawanismyhome (2/5): Deserted in September - We visited this place in September. OK, it was off-season and no guests so perhaps it is the wrong time to expect good service. The beers were not cold and we had to ask for ice. If it was run properly this place would be a much better place to relax. I should point out that this place is not actually in El Nido town but in a village called Sibaltan, 25 kms from El Nido on the east coast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great secluded place. The staff were great and very helpful =)
They have free breakfast, the restaurant is open into the evening.
Great place to disconnect and chill.
Be aware though that this is in Sibaltan, the east side of El Nido.
They have their own tours, but if you want to do the tours in the "main" part of El Nido, the west side, it's a 1 hour van ride.
- Gourley (6/5): Living in a Bahay Kubo! - If you want to experience the simple life and culture of the Philippines then this place definitely offers that experience.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Its a great place to switch off and just focus on relaxing and enjoy your vacation. Their food is really good. The staff are wonderful. Their customer service is excellent. They really know how to take care of their guest.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Tent on the beach - We had a great stay here! We chose to stay in a tent to save money and were very pleased to find that it was set up right on the beach. The island tour they offer is also a great value compared to those in El Nido. There were only 6 people on our boat and the price includes lunch.
- kaneohekid (8/5): Great stay with great people - This place is what I wished I had picked first but luckily we found this place on our second night. It is very well run and is a quite and safe place to enjoy paradise. Next door is a scuba/snorkel dive center that offers many options. Massages and kayaks are available on site. We really enjoyed our stay and the staff made us feel like family. I will definitely return to this place.
- Ernst August (10/5): flowery stay at the beach - Floresitas is a perfect place if you want to tune out and just read a book or get some rest.Prepare for no internet! Its a very calm place far away from eveything else... A friendly family managing the resort takes care of everything you need, not far from the place at the beach you find more restaurants.
We spent 5 days there and could have stayed forever, the "far away from everything" feeling there was exactly what we wanted.
Also recommended: the snorkeling tour that takes you to amazing coral reefes
- LauraPoland (10/5): Beautiful place - The best place for a family vacation. Friendly atmosphere, the owners want the client to feel great in every way. We felt like in a private luxury resort. Clean rooms, equipped with solid mosquito nets. Lots of coconuts, coconut water and milk that they made especially for us.
A vegan-friendly place. They made great fresh meals without meat especially for us. They organized a beautiful wedding with floral decorations, delicious food, pastor and details. We got married there and we have great memories. We were there in 11 people and we felt safe and comfortable.
Resort's located by the beach. Beautiful views from the room. Banana trees, papaya, coconut palms. It's a great place for people who like nature and disconnecting.
the best vegan food, we felt safe, great cheerful and contact service
everyone speaks english, the organization of a wonderful wedding, nice houses, lots of flowers everywhere !!! beautiful wild resort.
I recommend it very much!
- Erick (10/5): Peaceful and beautiful place! - Perfect place if you want to escape the craziness of El Nido town. Very relaxed and quite, with an amazing staff that's always taking care of their guests. Also you can do island hoping from here (Sibaltan village), with beautiful islands to visit and not as crowded as in El Nido.
- Catherine (10/5): - We had an amazing time at Floresitas. Everyone there was welcoming and went out of there way to help us. The location is beautiful and the food was lovely.
- Lou (2/5): Cast Away experience at luxury price. - First of all the Internet does not work. At all! Phone signal for both Globe and Smart do not work. That explains why both their listed numbers don't work, including chat service.
They charged 1,500 pesos for airport pickup (I guess it's reasonable due to its remote location). The place looks good online, but it's extremely small. The length fits a double sized mattress, with about a foot left. The width is about the same. If you are over 6' tall, you will feel the discomfort and mosquito bites. The mosquito net is not sufficient to keep the mosquitos out - you become the midnight buffet. Electricity is on between 6pm-6am. The Wifi by the eating area has good signal, but what good is it if there's no Internet?
The island tour price is 1,500 pesos - not worth it! They take you to places that the corals have been dead. El Nido offers better tours but cheaper ( A tour - 1,200p; B tour - 1,300, C tour - 1,400).
There isn't much to do or sightsee. The beach is unswimmable. One good thing about this place is its remote location where you do get peace and quiet. It's just not worth the agony of sleepless nights due to mosquitos. Then, the overprice for services. We thought the little qilted bananas were free for guests. They do charge. Anyway we originally reserved for four nights but could only stay for two. Let it be known I am retired Army infantryman...this was just ridiculous!
I will not return or recommend it. Anyway, that was our experience.
- 509eddies (8/5): it depends on what u expect - pro:
very kind people, we had a great new years party with the divers group. they offered us a big philipian buffet.
if you have the right Bungalow its simple but nice, the beds are okay.
Nice surrounding with several sunbeds or hammocks.
Very quiet during the day.
Close to the new diving center at Ursulas Beach Resort. Thx to the dive team(Jhong, Sana, Noelle, Moritz and Mark) for the amazing dive experiences.
Close to the barrio/ village. You should try the massage there.
Con:
You need earplugs during the night (barking dogs, Generator, motors) but Sometimes its quiet you only here the Sea, then its nice.
Every morning or sometimes in the day they are parking their cars for hours or leave just the motor running (why????) tjen the hole area smells like downtown Manila.
- Ryan (8/5): Beautiful views and very friendly, helpful staff - Overall, we had a wonderful and memorable stay here. We knew it was an "eco-friendly" hotel going in and would not be as comfortable as a regular vacation hotel. The wifi did not work the entire stay, intermittent generator failures, and there was a few hours of not having any running water for the bathroom. It felt more like a camping experience. We spent most of our time out and about during the day. I highly recommend their day-long island hopping tour. The staff was always friendly and accommodating, they helped plan and set up our daily activities, meals were delicious, and the view from the hillside huts is amazing.
- sandra (8/5): Pretty but a bit overpriced - The place was nice and was right on the beach. You only have electricity from 6pm to 6am. The room has a fan but the resort has no wifi. The service was very good but we felt it was a little expensive (1000pesos) for what was offered. They charged for the use of kayaks and paddle boards. Alos, it is an hour out of town.
- 143Malou (6/5): excellent place for those who like staying in quiet place - Our group was picked-up by their van from Puerto Princesa, which is a convenient way to travel the 6-hours long drive. Floresita's is one-hour drive from El Nido town center, the road is paved except for some parts where there are ongoing repairs. There are four resorts around the area, but far from each other. Floresita's offers accommodation in native cottages. I asked to be moved to another room because I find it difficult because the toilet in the cottage we're assigned does not have a "step".
There's no night life in the area, intermittent mobile service and no wifi -- this is good for people like me who prefers a quiet place to stay.
The rooms offer spartan accommodations -- just the basics but good enough as we tour the islands during the day. There are few rooms with aircon.
Floresita's is in front of the beach, with powdery cream-colored sand. It has a restaurant that offers a variety of dishes to choose from and a bar. It also offers other services like- massage, island tours, jet ski, kayaking.
- 80GlobalTraveler30 (10/5): Looking for Adventure? - If you're looking for an Indiana Jones type of adventure, don't stay here. You won't experience that. Looking for action? Think twice or schedule tours and rent the motorcycle. However, if you want to get away from the city, have things a little 'primitive,' try it. You don't even arrive via a typical route.
When I checked in they were very forward of what to expect. No daily cleaning (not necessary in my opinion), mosquitoes (but they'll spray bungalow in the evening if you want, plus they have mosquito nets), no electricity (but a generator at night to use lights and fan, and solar power for the main 'building' and will charge your device if needed), breakfast hours, but she might not have mentioned the no hot water aspect. (Yet we all survive as we just grin and bear it.)
Living in a huge city I wanted to escape for a few days. This did the trick. Great beach walking; island hopping available; books and some games available; relaxing beach atmosphere; motorbike rental to get around island, and more. They also clean the sea debris from their beach area each morning.
Bungalows vary. They can be quite small, but spend your time on the beach, not in your room. Each one has an outdoor seating area as well.
Since my birthday fell within the range of my stay (as my passport revealed), they fed me the traditional Filippino meal and sticky rice. They were excellent. Breakfasts were also delicious. You can eat almost any time of day.
I don't know if I've ever experienced a friendlier staff. They were helpful, kind, filled my day with birthday wishes, and helped in any way I requested.
It's not a luxury resort, but it's a relaxing resort. If you want this type of experience, go for it and stay here.
And the views are magnificent!
- Yen (4/5): Too far away from town centre - Good if you want to stay away from civilization and if you want to rent a bike to go around. It is more than an hour ride from town centre to this place. Not recommended if you are looking to meet other travellers.
- mary ann (8/5): Nice hotel, close to the beach, - Beautiful place, quite and very relaxing, all staff are very friendly, my only concern is no hot shower
- Verified traveler (10/5): Relax and enjoy here! - If you want the hustle and bustle of a 'city,' don't stay here. It's in a great location for relaxation. You can rent a motorbike to see the island (and get to the city). They were friendly, caring, and upfront about what they had and didn't have. Personally, I loved it!
- hugob188 (8/5): Great if you want to be in a quiet place, one hour from El Nido - Floresita's is one hour from downtown El Nido, on the other coast of the island. The place is great and the beaches around it are amazing. However, there aren't many services around, just two or three restaurants, a small village and not much more.
If you are not obsessed about service nor about wifi, it can be a good place to stay.
The noise of the generator during the night can be pretty unpleasant, though.
I feel that Floresita's could be really amazing if they improved their service a little bit.
- lucyg773 (6/5): Nice but boring - Location is great and the island tour was very good.
Staff in the hotel is not quite welcome and it feels like they are not willing to help you in any way.
Actually there is nothing to do there except the tours - beach is not well for swimming, bar at the hotel and nearby Tapik hotel are closed at approximately 9 pm. You can take kayak (if it is free as there are only 3 of them) and go to a very close small island - just to do something.
But THE WORST thing is the electricity generator. It works 6 pm - 6 am and if you live close to it, sleeping becomes a challenge. Be sure to ask in advance to get a room furthest from that thing.
- shylnsnjn (10/5): Should have stay here - It was a regret that we didnt book our stay here although we were able to taste their sumptuous filipino food in the couple of days. The staff were great very accommodating and the resort got loads of cushioned bed outside to relax in. Highly recommended if you want a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Electricity is available at a limited time only due to the location of area.
- Uri2411 (4/5): Nice place, but really not well managed - We stayed in Floresita's for almost 10 days, during the Christmas holidays and New Year's, and althought the place where it is located is nice, far from everything, quiet and just what we looked for, there were several things that upset us as well as other guests which where spending the holidays there. Summarizing, and beginning on the bright side:
+The location, as we said and the facilities, full of places to lie around.
+The room was pretty good, clean, nice bed and with a good bathroom.
+They invited us to have dinner with them in Christmas Eve and New Years Eve, which was completely free and with traditional food.
+The island hopping was great, no one around the places where we stayed, great food and nice crew.
+
BUT, on the other side:
-There was never WIFI on the place, althought you end up paying for it in the final price of the room. The excuses where hilarious, like: "we are far from El Nido" (althought the resort next to our had it all the time) or "the boss didn't pay for the bill", that was our favourite.
-Breakfast was a nightmare if you woke up with an appetite, they spent almost an hour to serve it and it was just two dishes of pancakes, something you can make in no time. That you can "understand" when there is 30 people waiting for it, but it happened too when we were the only ones waiting for it... The same happens with other meals, but that is not included, so you can always go to the next resort.
-The bills were a mess the day we asked for them, as we wanted to pay through Paypal (next door of course) and they mixed our room with other orders, ending up with a lot of food orders we didn't ask for. The price for the room at the beginning wasn't the same we booked through internet and they tried to charge the private van when they assured us we would have a shared one...
-And the vans where one of the other issues. The first day for a late pick up (justified because there was a lot of traffic... ok) and on the last day because the 7-7:30 van to El Nido came at 8:30 with 10 people waiting for it. Some of us took it as we weren't in a hurry, but others just tried other ways.
-It doesn't make sense that the generator is working all night if we are all sleeping and then when we wake up just stops, because the toilet we had was almost pitch dark even during the day and going to the bathroom first thing in the morning became a "risk".
-On the island hopping, they tried to put 9 people on a boat that we barely fit 7. All this just the same morning we had to do it because someone just thought it was a good idea. Lucky for us, two people just decided not to come and in the end we could fit in the small boat, but they pretended for two of us to just sit on the floor...
-They have a serious problem with english, not for complicated things, but for the basics. Some of them can understand you, but when they are not around... well, you better not have an emergency then...
-Finally, the mosquito net is completely useless as they enter inside and transform it in the perfect cage for them to hunt, they should do something about it, like smoke them from time to time.
So, in the end, it is a nice place, well located and so on, but we really think they should do something on how they treat the clients, as a lot of the people we stayed those days ended up complaining and regretting their choice. Just to put and example, almost no one was having lunch or dinner there, and it wasn't because of the food, it was because of the waiting time and the wifi, that it may seem not that big of a deal, but keeps customers away from your place. They should think about it.
Anyway, stay there at your own advice ;)
- ryansX2760BB (4/5): Cool location that service did not match - Floresitas is on a very secluded beach on the opposite side of Palawan island from El Nido the view is spectacular and the beach only has 3 other resorts on it. A good place to relax. When we visited the owner/manager was out of the country. The staff seemed helpful but as our stay wore on we noticed more issues. Our first night we were eaten alive by mosquitoes and their generator was extremely loud too loud to sleep next to. They agreed to move us away from the generator the second night but we were still constantly bitten by mosquitoes through the mosquito net provided and the fan struggled to make sleeping comfortable. The food was subpar leaving us to eat at other resorts for all meals except for complimentary breakfast. Our room had a serious ant/termite problem but the staff didn't seem to want to do anything about it even though they were constantly making new holes in our bamboo cottage. The staff frequently forgot orders and even simple things like arranging pickups. We were picked up 90 minutes late in El Nido with no apology and after witnessing other travellers wait two hours to get picked up to go back to Puerto Princessa decided to have another resort arrange our transport back. All together a great secluded spot but poor service and poorly kept rooms detracted from the experience. It's unfortunate they don't take better care of guests and their property as this could be a great spot.
- anchandra (2/5): Nightmare, avoid or at least keep your eyes wide open - This place has its good points, if you want to be in a remote place, with quaint cottages. We spend 5 nights here (waaay to long) and what started as a nice, romantic experience, turned quickly into a nightmare. The people seem nice, they smile and say they will help, but its only the surface, no concrete action. Please consider the following before staying here
- make sure you triple-check all your bills and compute carefully how much you need to pay for dinner and your room. Unfortuantelly, I checked the dinner bill only for 1 night, and noticed that they overcharged 230 Pesos. When i made the calculation in front of them, they eventually returned to me the 230, said they made a mistake. However, i only checked this for 1 night. For the previous nights, I went on faith and conveniently, they were not able to find the receipts. We booked with AirBnB for 4 nights, so that part was all set, and payed cash for 1 night. Initially, they told us the price is 1500, but when we actually payed they asked for 1800. When I complained about it, they eventually relented and we payed the original price of 1500
- we rented a motorcycle from them for 800 /day. My husband fell and got some bad scrapes (we went to el nido to the emergency room - with the motorcycle we rented from them). Since they saw him all bandaged up, they basically extorted us, asking us to pay 1200 pesos in damage (ultimately we payed 500). The motorcycle had a few scratches, but there was nothing wrong with it. When we asked to know why we need to pay 1200, they said they had to replace something or another to the engine. The same motorcycle was rented by another couple just the next day. So the motorcycle that we rode for about 60 km (round trip to el nido) and then rented by another couple just the next day had problems with the engine because of my husband's fall? It is ridiculous to consider. If you rent a motorbyke here, please take pictures of the bike before you leave on the trip, so that you have proof of the state of the bike, or you might need to pay for "engine replacements". I wish I knew where to report this, this kind of thing should not happen to anyone else!
- since the day we arrived, we confirmed multiple times that they can arrange van transfer to el nido early in the morning, since we needed to catch an already booked shuttle van to Puerto Princesa at 9 am. They said, no problem, the van will arrive between 7 and 7:30 am. Please note that we confirmed this mutiple times! Since the trip takes about 1 hour, this would have given us a comfortable half an hour/1 hour to make the transfer. However, the van arrived at 8:30, full!!! I was on the verge of crying and somehow they made room for me and my husband. Of course, we missed the van to Puerto Princessa, which we already payed for in advance, so we ended up paying for another shuttle van. If you really choose to stay here, please make your schedule extra flexible
- when i made the reservation, they mentioned that the price for the van transfer from el nido was 800 pesos and renting the kayak is 500 pesos / day. However, once we were there, they asked for 1500 for the van transport and 150 pesos / hour on the kayak renting. I had to show them the email conversation to get the price we were expecting
- they say the organize island hopping tour (1400 / person). However, if you are a couple and no other people happen to sync their schedule with yours, they ask for 2000 / person. They make no effort on your behalf
- electricity is only available during the night. Not a big deal, but be aware
- almost no cell phone coverage, no data coverage
- the place is very remote, far from el nido. its the appeal of it, but also a big problem, if you want to do anything other than beach bumming
- you cant really swim there, the water is very shallow and full of sea weed
To sum up, the place is beautiful, but badly managed. Be safe and avoid it.
- Lvdk94 (8/5): Amazing place! - We stayed here for three nights and it was absolutely amazing. The resort is furnished very nice and there are plenty of places where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful view. Staff is very friendly and the prices for food and drinks are quite good compared to the other resorts on the beach. Food was very nice too and we really enjoyed our island hopping tour which they arranged for us. Would definitely come here again!
- MariaH7331 (10/5): Incredible experience - The staff here were instantly welcoming and friendly, they treat you like friends rather than tourists. The place is stunning - a quiet and relaxing trip away from El Nido. We rented a canoe and headed to the island and when we got back one of the staff had climbed a coconut tree and was already making us glasses of fresh coconut juice.
- kenax (8/5): Nice place, nice people, great beach - Had the pleasure of checking out this place after being away for almost two years. The town still has the same, wonderful atmosphere but several venues have been added along its long and beautiful stretch of beach. Enjoyed spending some hours with the owner and they arranged things nicely.
- boysevilla (10/5): Tropical Paradise - Floresita's Beach Resort is a happy, relaxing tropical paradise. The service is so personalised I felt so special.
Shiela the resort manager was such a pleasant and caring host to her guests but somehow made me feel that I'm super special.
Four nights stay was just too short and I'll be back for a longer stay.
- shielamaries (10/5): Amazing - Everything is wonderful. You will be wishing to back and stay longer. You have an option upon arrival. You can take an El Nido airport for a shorter travel or Puerto Princessa to see more the other part of Palawan. Anyway land trip is so worthy. This is what you get from nature 😊
- jazzyo378 (10/5): A home away from home! - Everything about this place is good. From the white sand, the ambiance, the weather, foods, and accommodations. I am impressed with the beauty of the beach and the islands around where you can wander. We tried kayaking to the nearby island and it was a really good experience. We stayed there for ten days for a very affordable price. And i don't feel like leaving. But i will visit again next month. Really a home away from home.
