• EHfromCalifornia (10/5): Wonderful getaway in charming town - We wanted to stay longer at this beautifully appointed hotel and spa in a hilly, picturesque, cobblestone town at the northern end of the Route des Vins and just 30 minutes from Strasbourg. Friendly, gracious service/staff, lovely, well-designed room with comfortable bed and spacious bathroom and two sinks (my husband loves this), comfortable, airy lounge areas, everything clean and well-tended. Valet parking. Go and feel pampered.

A unica ressalva que gostaria de expor é o problema de ar condicionado que ocorreu num dos quartos. (Foi solucionado apos 3 dias). Sugerimos manutencao no sistema de ar condicionado com mais frequencia para que um Hotel deste alto nivel nao passe mais por isso com seus hospedes.

• IanH711 (6/5): Not really good enough - All in all, not really good enough and Accor need to get a bit of a grip. Although the staff tried hard, there simply weren't enough of them. That meant there was no sense of life in any of the downstairs areas and a 4 course dinner took nearly 2 1/2 hours. This is a supposedly top hotel but offers only two menu choices (and then combines them in a set menu which is the only logical option price wise) which is woeful - whilst the food itself was decent, the length of time it took and lack of choice means you could not eat there twice. The room we had was small for two people and although converting an old building imposes constraints on design, it was badly laid out making the occasional concussion near inevitable and eliminating all privacy in the bathroom. Parking off site at E25 per night is scandalous. There is free parking 10 metres away which whilst not covered / locked, seemed perfectly safe.

• Sandra (8/5): - Liebliche Unterkunft, schönes Ambiente, Lage herrlich unter Rebbergen, schönes Hotel. Wenn man wert auf den Namen „ Spa“ legt, wird man rasch enttäuscht. Der Spa ist sehr klein, die wenigen Liegestühle, waren alle belegt und wir konnten uns nicht mal hinsetzen. 2 Saunas und ein kleiner, jedoch sehr schöner Pool. Das Restaurant war sehr lecker, es hat jedoch nur 2 Hauptgänge zur Auswahl und das war an den beiden Abenden als wir dort waren, dasselbe. Gute Lage für Ausflüge nach Strassbourg oder Colmar. Das Städtchen selber hat nur sehr spärliche Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.

Sie war super kompetent und freundlich. Das Spa ist effektiv recht klein geraten, aber uns hat es gefallen.
• Antonio (6/5): Null, beaucoup trop chère - Je ne recommande pas cette hôtel, vous payer le prix d'un 5 étoiles pour un médiocre 4 étoiles. l'acces aux chambres se fait par un escalier (pas d'ascenseur) et personne ne vous a proposé de vous déposer les valises. Les chambres sont trop petite et pour vous dire on n'arrive même pas a étre 2 personnes ensemble dans la salle de bains, elle fait a peine 3m2. Le spa il y de la place pour peut etre 8 personnes, autant il est tres beau mais tres vite a saturation. Null au prix fort

• Verified traveler (6/5): - Déçu de notre week-end de 2 nuits dans cet hôtel que nous connaissons bien. Chambre minuscule sans ascenseur avec minuscules fenêtres pourtant à 400€ la nuit. Wc sale, spot cassé, petit déjeuner à 28€ mais il ne restait rien. (1choix de confiture) il restait 3 petits bouts de fromage. On a demandé une autre chambre qui était cette plus grande mais les fenêtres ne donnaient pas sur l’extérieur mais sur le couloirs (passage de clients), est ce vraiment un standing 5* cette chambre restante à 400€? L’endroit est très beau et l’ambiance est chaleureuse mais aujourd’hui nous trouvons que le tarif est bien trop élevé.
• Jean Michel (4/5): quelle déception - Nous sommes arrivé vers 18h40 et partions dès 9h00 le lendemain. A notre arrivée nous nous sommes garé devant l'hôtel et avons attendu quelques minutes mais personne n'est venu nous accueillir, pas de bagagiste, ensuite nous avons eu un bon accueil par le jeune homme, malheureusement nous apprenons que le parking de l'hôtel se trouve plus loin dans une autre rue, sans voituriez également. nous avons profité 40mn de la piscine et vue l'heure et prêt de 5heures de routes sous la neige nous avons préféré prendre un room service et diner dans notre chambre, bien que la carte du room service ressemble plus à un snack qu'à une carte de 5*. à l'arrivée de nos plateau le jeune homme ne savait même pas ou les poser car ils sont venus sans une table de room service que l'on peu voire dans tous les hôtels. il n'y a même pas 2 chaises dans la chambre, vous pouvez diner chacun votre tour sur le bureau enclavé !!! la literie était beaucoup trop souple, donc un mal de dos au réveil. la douche dans une baignoire sous pente(ma taille 1m78 seulement) ne nous permet pas sans être baissé de se doucher correctement et cela en inondant la salle de bain qui se trouve dans la chambre sans cloison. Bref très loin des standards d'un 5* pas de bagagiste, pas de voiturier, pas de conciergerie, pas de restaurant étoilé à notre départ la jeune femme nous a facturé une 2e fois la chambre alors qu'elle avait déjà été payé, ma femme a du insisté pour se faire rembourser. Bref plus assez de caractère pour ...

• Verified traveler (6/5): - The way the bath and shower had been designed is just inacceptable : it is just impossible to take your shower without banging your head on the ceiling which is very low. In the room next to ours, it was the same! You cannot 5* to a hotel, where you do not have the possibility to take a shower in normal conditions, this is the basics .
• Marc (2/5): - We arrived at the property late and the room we booked and paid for was not available - we booked a Jr Suite with King bed and two single beds, and they only had small Jr Suite with one bed. So they made us get another room for 300 Eur - we feel like we were taken advantage of because we arrived late and did not have any other options given the late hour.
• lindycardy (10/5): Combines beautiful design with old world charm - The hotel exterior is a typical Alsace ginger bread construction. The interior beautifully combines this old-world charm with a fresh modern interior. The spa & pool in the cellar are first class. The masseur Elodie was amazing. The hotel restaurant was closed on our first night, we found a nice pizza restaurant but most of the town of Barr was closed. We ate in the hotel restaurant the following night. We experienced very poor service. 40 minutes before we had wine to our table. Two hours between ordering our food and getting our main course. There were other issues in terms of lack of professionalism amongst staff. Two of the three dishes I was served were unacceptable. I made the reception staff aware I was unwilling to pay for these dishes, and they removed them from the bill. The breakfast was wonderful. The staff, during breakfast, the cleaner and reception staff were all friendly and professional.

• Chris123455789 (2/5): Poor experience - be careful before booking - This is a terrible little hotel that holds itself out as something it is not. Be sure to know exactly the room you’re getting ahead of time, or prepare for disappointment. When we tried to leave, we were told “prepaid” sorry, you are out of luck. When asked if we could transfer to a sister hotel, which was the suggestion of the night staff when we asked upon checking in, we were told “no.” We effectively have a room that we’re sure the summer interns use during the season, behind a curtain, no elevator service, which you get to by walking through a service area (thus the curtain) - what kind of hotel even has rooms like that???? As we all know, pictures lie, we do not recommended this hotel at all … stay in Obernai, stay in Colmar or any of the other towns … horrible little place full of puffed up pretenders

• denys (10/5): Very romantic hotel in a small town in Alsace - amazing hotel. we booked for wedding anniversary. Hotel met and exceeded all expectation, from service, design and amenities. Sauna and swimming pool are great, hotel is very nice and bright, and town is nice to visit for a day or two as well. Parking is available at hotel for 25 Euro but also free in the town. Breakfast was good, especially omelet was tasty. Will come again

Abendessen 3 Gang mit Menu nach Vorschlag Küchenchef war einfallsreich und lecker. Leider am Sonntagabend kein Abendessen möglich. Frühstücksbuffet reichlich.

• AlexanderD1194 (2/5): never had such a bad reservation service at any All Accor hotel - Reservation department clearly not interested in new customers. Personally emailed them with the request for availability of two rooms next to eachother. just recieved an email back, with a link of the hotel........ and the remark. children below 16 are not welcome in the Spa...... no help in getting the correct rooms..... no message on webistes etc about the spa (no children without adult guidance would have been a better option....) would be better if the would advertice ADULT ONLY. called the hotel to discuss, no management available to help.. i had to call back after 14.00.... amazing that this is happening on a service level not worth a MGallery, All Accor hotel!
• Tabitha (10/5): - Absolutely everything about this hotel and stay was perfect - the spa was gorgeous, the staff were incredible and the room was brilliant. EXCEPT that they charged me twice! I told them at checkout that I had already paid through Expedia, but they insisted on charging me again saying the first one was a holding charge. A few days later, both payments have been taken and completed. If I hadn’t double checked I might never have noticed!!

On s'y sentirait bien si le service était la hauteur de l'établissement, hors ce n'est pas le cas : le standing n'y est pas, le personnel (inexpérimenté) fait "de son mieux" mais cela reste de loin insuffisant. C'est notre 2e expérience mitigée, ce sera la dernière.

Excellent meeting facilities, wonderful historical building with very high quality renovation and modern decoration, very comfortable rooms and exceptionnal home made food. Le restaurant étant fermé le lundi nous avons tenter d'en trouver un autre à une heure peut être trop tardive, s'en succés. Après en avoir informer la réception, le personnel nous a préparer un excellant repas grace au room service. Le SPA, dans une cave vouté est très original et relaxant. Petit déjeuner varier avec produits locaux. Nous avons tout valider dans cet hôtel. Parfait

• Samuel (10/5): Great spot in a quiet Alsace town - Great hotel in Barr. Very well renovated, keeping elements of the old building. Service was outstanding. Location was right in the lot city center. Parking across the street was easy for a night, but could be difficult for a longer stay because they are paid public spaces. Quieter town than others in Alsace, but very relaxing. Spa was simple but well done.

• Susan (8/5): Very nice hotel with excellent staff - Wonderful stay - the phone in our room wasn't working and the hotel had no electrical adapters for us to borrow, but these were minor inconveniences in an otherwise perfect experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
