The atmosphere is warm and familiar, and we love the views from both the rooms and the restaurant (especially at breakfast). There are also some great restaurants nearby with a similar atmosphere, as well as a shop close by for all the essentials. A special thanks goes to Ester, who is always there for you and brightens your day with kind conversations, making you feel welcome at every moment. Definitely not our last stay in these beautiful apartments – highly recommended! ⸻ Wir waren nun schon zum zweiten Mal hier und haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Die Atmosphäre ist herzlich und familiär, und wir lieben die Aussicht aus den Zimmern sowie aus dem Restaurant (besonders beim Frühstück). In der Nähe gibt es außerdem tolle Restaurants mit ähnlicher Atmosphäre sowie einen Laden für alle wichtigen Dinge des Alltags. Ein besonderer Dank gilt Ester, die immer für einen da ist und mit ihren freundlichen Gesprächen sofort ein Gefühl von Willkommen vermittelt. Ganz sicher nicht unser letzter Aufenthalt in diesen wunderschönen Apartments – absolut empfehlenswert!

• Eirik (10/5): Vårt favoritt hotell! - Vi trives veldig godt på Idyll Suites. Har bodd 7 ganger på dette hotellet og har allerede bestilt nytt opphold til neste år. Det er store og romslige leiligheter med store verandaer og god utsikt. Veldig rent og velholdt hotell. Solsengene ved bassenget er svært behagelige. Ligger i rolige omgivelser. Kort vei til Amadores og Puerto Rico med buss eller taxi. Til fots tar det ca 20 min å gå til Amadores og ca 45 min til Puerto Rico. Det er også fullt mulig å gå til Arguineguín fra Playa del Cura, det tar ca 2 timer.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - We had a great stay at Idyll. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The staff if extraordinary friendly and helpful. The pool area is calm and has what must be the islands best sundbeds. Breakfast outside with sea views was perhaps the daily highlights. The only small improvement area is the beds as they were very stiff and it would have been good with some warmer sheets. We had to sleep with clothes on. Overall great stay, will be back here for sure!

The highlight is the extra large very comfortable sun loungers, no annoying music around the pool. There’s a bar/resturant and a library. I just wish the pool was warmer.

• Brenda (10/5): A perfect place to relax and unwind - From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and it was obvious that nothing was too much for Esther and the rest of the staff. The accommodation is large, bright and well laid out. The balcony is massive with more than enough room for table chairs and two sun beds. The view from our balcony was lovely too. The pool area is kept clean and tidy, there’s a life guard on duty everyday. Each guest is given an extra large soft thick towel to cover their sunbed, a pillow and a towel for use after the pool. The sunbeds around the pool are extremely comfortable, I notice they varied in size from the average width to extra wide, which was lovely and like laying on a single size bed; plenty of room to get comfortable, with space around you for things like your book and in my case my drawing pad and pencils as well as my book. There’s a restaurant by the pool which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner which we used occasionally, the rest of the time we alternated by eating in one of the various restaurants just outside where there were several restaurants, cocktail bar, live music in the square in the evenings a nail and hair place and a chemist and a Spar shop where we bought our basics as we made our own breakfast and some lunches in our apartment which has a nice kitchen area with fridge, oven, hob, coffee machine, kettle toaster etc; we enjoyed sitting on our own balcony. The buses from outside the hotel run regularly to all the nearby little towns, villages and beaches, taxis are good
• Amanda (10/5): - Great stay. They replied to my questions before I even got there. Esther (at reception) was very friendly and helpful. These were the best sun beds I’ve ever used anywhere. The suites are not really modern but spacious and clean. Very nice balcony. The only thing I would say is that there was not AC just fans but we stayed late September and managed fine. Restaurants very close and a Spar (grocery store) within minutes. Parking (since we had a rental) was under the hotel and great!
• Christopher (10/5): - This was our 3rd visit to Idyll Suites and we are not normally people to return somewhere. Pool deck and sun beds are awesome, restaurant is great & right next door is a small supermarket and a handful of restaurants. We took the bus to Mogán a couple of times - the stops were 200 metres from the hotel. Room was excellent and balcony perfect. Really a wonderful hidden gem on Gran Canaria (& the transfer by taxi from the airport takes about 40 mins.)

Beatrix is an absolute gem very very efficient and friendly nothing is too much trouble she never stops running around looking after guests making sure they are happy. Apartment was lovely everything you needed for self catering beautiful sun terraces with sun beds and table and chairs, views fabulous. Pool salt water lovely and clean. Pool area spotless Sunbeds and towels, pillow for sun bed were best ever had and I have stayed in many 5 star hotels. All staff lovely and friendly. Restaurant and bar great had meal on night in restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. Will be going back in August with my husband and would recommend to anyone. Overall excellent accommodation five star.
• Branimir (10/5): Gran Canaria Stay - Absolutely faboulous hotel with charming staff. 3 minutes walk to the black sandy beach. Excellent swimming pool with a lot of sunbeds at disposal. Each apartment is spacious with a huge bedroom, fully equipped kitchen and beautiful and stunning oceanview balcony. Set of beach/swimming pool towels is also provided. We could not imagine better Holiday accommodation and service than this one on this beautiful island!

Beautiful views and infinity pool. Excellent self catering facilities and comfortable rooms. Fantastic staff as well who couldn’t do enough for us. I cannot recommend Idyll highly enough.

Daily maid service was good and the maids were helpful and friendly. Breakfasts suited us: fruit, cereal, yoghurt, omelette and toast. The toasters need replacing and we would have preferred an earlier breakfast. Then again we could have opted to do our own in the kitchenette when booking.

For a quiet getaway this place is ideal. The resort is small and there are limited restaurants and bars but we found adequate. Resort of Playa del Cura very small and a bit limited but buses regularly arrive at stop 5 mins away to take you to Puerto Mogan or Puerto Rico which both have good choice of restaurants. Restaurant in the apartments was lovely as well. We ate there on several nights. Breakfasts very good and loungers at pool were deluxe.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - Fabulous property, from the wonderful reception staff to the amazing sunbeds, the super rooms and all the little things, like free flip flops, chocolates on our pillows and bottles of water. it is a top quality complex, would go back tomorrow if I could.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - Situated in a quiet bay that is not over developed. Restaurant at Idyll Suites is very good and there are a couple of other restaurants that can be reached by foot. For greater choice of restaurants Puerto de Mogan or Puerto Rico offer a good selection. Small but pleasant beach just five minutes walk away and Spar supermarket next door but one. Staff at Idyll Suites are very helpful and attentive, especially the poolside lifeguard who provides and lays out towels and towelling pillows for the sunbeds which are of high quality and extra large.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean, well designed and spacious one bed serviced apartments with sea view. Lovely big terrace ideal for relaxing and taking in the view. It's a very quiet area with just a handful of places to eat but there's a well stocked supermarket two doors down and easy access to local buses. Puerto de Mogan is only 15 minutes' ride and is a pretty harbour with dozens of restaurants. The on-site restaurant is very good, too. We couldn't fault anything and will definitely be back. The cleaning is excellent and the lady on reception was lovely. We didn't use the pool area (as we enjoyed our terrace too much) but it looked very nice. I must admit that the lack of kids was a definite bonus for us as a couple, too.

• Ryan (10/5): Lovely Romantic stay - We had an amazing stay at the hotel as this was our second time there. It is very quiet and private with a great pool, great views and nice big rooms. Not sure which was better, having breakfast or an evening wine on the patio as both were amazing. A few improvements could be done but nothing that would prevent me from coming back.

The property also had restaurant which was amongst the best in the resort Apartments very spacious with big bedrooms and bathroom giant size balcony which included sun beds , table and chairs there was also a fully fitted kitchen
• Laura (10/5): Lovely apartment, lovely view and lovely staff - Stayed here for a week and thoroughly loved it. The pool is beautiful with a wonderful view as well. The staff were always so helpful and friendly. The location is nice and quiet and only a short distance from Puerto Rico where there are lots of bars and restaurants.

Pool side service and giant towels and other towels to dry yourself and a pillow covered in the same towelling. Rooms are spacious and very clean and comfortable. Close to shops and excellent bus service. This is our second stay at this hotel and it won't be our last. We will be back next year. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff go out of their way to make your stay memorable.

Would not hesitate to book here again. A few restaurants in the resort itself if you need and a good spa supermarket 2 minutes down the bank. Loads more restaurants in Morgan, P. Rico and Amadores. Sun beds and towels set up for you daily. A fantastic place for a relaxing holiday. Thank you again Idylls suites.
• Abbey (10/5): - Blown away by the friendliness of ALL the staff here and the service down by the pool. A lovely touch that you get 2 towels and a pillow brought to you, fresh, everyday. The skinnier lifeguard of the two (the one with no tattoos) was particularly chatty and pleasant! Also the lady who checked us in was lovely. We were able to check in early which was great. Also I must mention that the maids gave the room the best tidy compared to all other hotels i’ve Stayed in. Even little things like lining up all my makeup, they really do deserve a lot of praise!! From the looks of things the pool seems to be cleaned every single evening which is a big plus for me, sometimes in hotels it’s not as regular and you find the odd bug floating about but none of that here, a very clean hotel.! I honestly have no bad things to say about our stay here! Loved it

• Stephen (10/5): Fabulous weekend break - Booked here for a short weekend based on previous comments and wasn't disappointed. Spacious private underground carpark linked directly to your floor. Friendly staff with welcome pack including in-wall safe and remotes. Our apartment was on the 4th floor with balcony views of the excellent pool and sea. The room was very spacious and clean with plenty of cupboards. The sun beds are the best we've ever used and so comfort. You are met by the pool attendant who gets your own towels and pillows and makes up the beds. There is an onsite restaurant serving food and drinks. Only ate here for lunch but was disappointed with flavours and drinks watery. The suites are close to Puerto Rico and Mogan and suggest you go there to eat. Bus runs outside every 15mins in both directions and taxi's only 4.50 euros. Only spent a long weekend but great location and would come again
• Verified traveler (10/5): Brilliant getaway - We badly needed a week's holiday and found the Idyl Suites on Expedia as part of a great value package. The place was perfect in every way; quiet (no children - not that I don't like children but they are not conducive to total rest!) excellent clean and well designed facilities: pool, restaurant and common areas. Our apartment was very well appointed with everything we needed, including daily cleaning. All the staff were lovely, helpful, kind and very welcoming. Can't praise Idyl Suites highly enough. Thanks to them for our very recharged batteries.

• MGH (10/5): A Place to have a relaxing time on the Island - A super clean and well-maintained place. The staff is helpful. The location is great, quiet and relaxing, and very close to Puerto Rico and Port de Mogan. The room is spacious, clean, comfortable, with a great view of the ocean, in which you feel you're at home. The swimming pool is great, clean and with a nice view of the ocean. Clean towels, comfortable pool chairs, and a nice restaurant with super cold beers and great food, although we only drank there and didn't eat, but we heard positive comments about its food. There is a supermarket next door which makes it super easy to buy stuff and enjoy it in your room. This is a great option for people who stay for long time (our stay was only three nights). There is also a spacious underground parking. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and recommend it to everybody. If we happen to come back to the island one day, this place will be on top of list.

• jane (10/5): Outstanding place to stay - Everything about the place was brilliant. Staff were so helpful and very welcoming . Everywhere was so clean. The pool area and pool was cleaned every morning. If you want a relaxing peaceful time, this is the place to come. But also close to other areas which have more going on. We hired a car, but there was plenty of buses available to get around the island.
• Dave (10/5): The perfect place for peace and quiet - Welcome at reception very good. Shown to our room on the 3rd floor. Good size lounge / dining area with facilities for cooking. (No actual oven but hob and microwave with grill facility) Shower / bathroom (no bath) was a good size and spotlessly clean. Bedroom had of 2 single beds pushed together and a 3rd bed is provided if required. Large built in wardrobe for clothes. Balcony a good size overlooking the pool and out towards the bay. 2 sun loungers and a table & chairs provided. There is no Air con but there are 2 ceiling fans to help cool you down a bit. We travelled here 2nd week of October so it wasn't over hot, around 26 / 27 degrees but i would imagine in height os summer the lack of air con could be an issue for some. The resort as a whole is very quiet. Didn't see or hear night clubs loud music etc at any time. Only noise was the sound of the traffic passing the front of the hotel. So if your looking for party time this is not going to be the place for you. The pool like everything else was spotless and well maintained. Plenty of Sun beds some of which are larger than the norm. They all have comfortable cushions and the pool steward sets you up with your own "personal" bag that contains a large cover for the cushion a pillow and a swim towel. There is even a button on the brolly stand that calls the steward to you for drinks and or food to be ordered if you so wish If you rent a car there is a car park under the hotel for free parking for your stay
• lee (10/5): Fantastic little Gem - Really enjoyed staying at this hotel, the rooms are really good quality with very comfortable beds, we were very impressed. The hotel is quiet & very relaxing. There is an Irishbar next door with good food, sport & a few other restaurants around the hotel & a really big Supermarket. There r some great places 2 visit either by Bus\Taxi not far away so plenty 2 do if you feel like venturing out. The lifeguard who looked after the guests by the pool was fantastic with lots of useful info & nothing was 2 much trouble, on his dayoff during the 1st week another chap stood in for him who was good. The only blip on the week was on our lastday when the main life guard was off & his stand in was very rude to us after we waited almost 30 mins for her to appear, I went 2 the restaurant & asked them if they knew where the lifeguard was & they phoned them, when she came over she was very annoyed that we had been 2 the restaurant, she told us off for going to the restaurant & seemed very annoyed, she told us 2 press the call button on the umbrella, we explained we had pressed the call buttons on a number of them a number of times but these seemed to not have triggered the watch on her wrist so we must have been lying, anyway we the fantastic receptionists sorted it out. Both receptionist were fantastic & couldn’t do enough for us! The Sunbeds are the best of any hotel we have been, so comfortable & the pool is really lovely as well! We would definitely go back!

• Lynn (8/5): Beautiful apartments, great managers! - On arrival we were greeted by Beatrice, she made us feel immediately welcome, we were given brand new flip flops & a nice chap bought up 4 bottles of cold water. Really sparkly clean apartment, couldn't fault it. Well equipped kitchen, fantastic shower & amazing balcony with sea view. Even the sun loungers have sun shades on them! The pool area is also very well maintained & managed, you pick your bed & then you are given a large bag with your own room number on it, this contains a large sun towel to go over your sun bed (which by the way is the width of a single bed), a pillow & another towel for your use after the pool. When you finish sunbathing this all goes back in your bag & they check to see if it needs washing or just drying off & then it's put away ready for you the next day!
• Jacky (10/5): Lovely holiday in a lovely hotel. - This hotel is quite new and so you should expect it to be very good but the standard is maintained to an incredibly high standard. The staff are wonderful, in particular Bea and the other lady on reception (apologies we did not get your name), and the young man who works as a lifeguard / waiter / towel distributor is outstanding (owner - he deserves a pay increase, as he treats the guests and the facilities as if they were his own and speaks with great pleasure and enthusiasm about the hotel). The "only" thing I can comment on which was less than perfect is the restaurant food choice. Whilst the food we ate there was very good the choice is a little limited and so this could be the one improvement you could look to make. For example if you don't like octopus or Iberian ham then 4 of the 7 starters are not for you. That said the mains were excellent. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and whilst we don't go back to places twice we would certainly recommend to any of our friends and family. Many thanks

• scottmeister450 (10/5): Perfect hotel for a couples getaway - Travelled in August 2017 for our first holiday together. Room comfortable and spacious, with good facilities and a great balcony view. Pool excellent, never too busy and complimentary towels, pillows and flip-flops provided. On-site restaurant served delicious food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Staff were friendly and helpful and often went above-and-beyond to make our stay that bit better (special mentions to the male lifeguard and male bartender/waiter who made us superb cocktails!). Hotel is located in a quiet area with very few bars/eateries nearby, however the larger nearby towns and ports are easily accessible by bus or taxi. Overall we were extremely happy with our stay at a hotel we would consider to be something of a hidden gem, and we would love to return one day.
• Mike (8/5): Nice property, shame about the location - Nothing to complain about & we had a really relaxing holiday. The suites are beautifully appointed & the lack of air-conditioning is a complete non-issue. There is a constant breeze, which ventilates the rooms beautifully, with cooling assisted by the ceiling fans. The pool area is well laid out & appointed & the sunbeds are wonderfully comfortable. The huge towels for the bed, pillows & personal towels, laundered daily, are a great idea & add to the comfort level. The proximity to the road takes a little getting used to, particularly when the odd very loud car or motorbike blasts past. The child-free nature of the place appealed to us, although that's reduced a little by the shrieks coming from the next door apartment block's pool - not their fault, but it does intrude at times. The restaurant is good, with quality food, but the menu feels a bit restrictive after 2 or 3 visits. Great breakfast, though! The one issue we did have was that we had no choice but to pay in GBP when using cards. The restaurant claim that this was due to a machine malfunction, but it happened to us twice, a few days apart & felt like a cheap way of picking up some commission, especially as our receipt insists that we'd freely chosen to be billed in £ rather than €. The rate they apply is appalling &, although the actual damage is fairly small, it feels wrong & blighted our opinion of the management! All in all, a great property in a resort without too much else going for it...
• Verified traveler (10/5): Hidden gem! - This was a very pleasant find for a last minute holiday - nicely tucked away from most of the hustle and bustle! Staff - all easy to get along with Apartment - modern and clean Restaurant - excellent food and thoroughly enjoyed the freshly baked pastries each morning! Location - a stone throw away from the sea, shops and pharmacy.
• Leila (10/5): A real ideal place to stay - I can say nothing bad about this establishment. From the check in to check out, it was absolutely excellent service. Esther in particular was fantastic at welcoming us and seeing us off. Aday the lifeguard was always so friendly and welcoming at the pool. Clean suites. Spacious. Great views. Good pool. Relaxing and quiet. Comfortable location to get buses into the beaches or towns. A real home away from home. I am very picky and I absolutely recommend!
• Neil (10/5): What a great find! - Last minute booking as we couldn't get where we normally stay for a full week at short notice Suite immaculate- like brand new Cleaning standards off the scale Breakfast - small room as not many take it - however great English breakfast cooked fresh to order New toaster is hopeless! Pool area - the best in any hotel I have been in in the world - 5* & beyond Remember no kids is a huge plus for many around a pool Choice of food & bars outside is very limited however the steakhouse is ok & Brendan in 'the old Brogue' bar is sound & drinks are a good price Sorry we were only there for x3 nights Would we return ? 100% in five weeks time I think! Downside - taxi €60 from airport Other than that spot on
• Andy+Christine (10/5): A little Gem! - We booked idyll suites because of previous reviews we read, so we both want to add to those now, as we have experienced a fantastic holiday! Thank you so much for being so friendly, helpful, courteous and so welcoming! You really deserve all FIVE stars. The apartments are so spacious, spotlessly clean, very classy and extremely comfortable. I personally have 3 problems when I go any holiday, (which I dread) my issues are; an uncomfortable bed, a hard pillow and a noisy air-conditioning unit...But all my 3 problems were NOT at idyll suites!!! The bed was amazingly comfortable, the pillow was divine, and the air-conditioning was a ceiling fan, which was silent! and fabulous! The place was quiet, and no noise from road traffic. The large balconies are wonderful to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The buffet breakfast was a treat after treat, with such a variety. cereals, nuts, fresh fruits all prepared and sliced, hot fresh croissants and rolls, a selection of meats, cheese, yoghurts, and breads and if thats not enough a full english breakfast too, or omelette for a lighter breakfast. We are sharing with all our friends, just how good the idyll suites in Gran Canaria is, and highly recommend it as a wonderful "Little Gem" - Looking forward to returning soon.

• Ash & Mark (10/5): Amazing Couple Holiday - Staff were very professional at all times & very helpful. Poolside assistance for food & drink, fresh throw, towel & pillow everyday for your sun lounger. Pool kept very clean & appealing. Beautiful view overlooking the sea & connecting beaches. All local amenities were, Irish pub (great food), steak house, restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy, gym, cafe, taxi rank, bus stops. A taxi into Puerto Rico was always around 5 or 6 euro. The apartment facilities were everything you would need. Balcony with sitting area & loungers. Sitting/kitchen area with microwave, hob, fridge, toaster, coffee maker, all cutlery, cooking utensils & delph were brand new. The bathroom had 2 sinks, a big shower, a toilet & a bidet. the bedroom had 2 doors leading in, a sofa bed that was folded up into a couch and a huge king size bed. I cannot fault this hotel at all, we had a fabulous time thanks to staying here!!!!! 5 STARS!!!!!

• Verified traveler (10/5): Tranquility & Peace - Perfect for those wishing to get away from the crowds (and kids!). One of the only hotels on the island with views of the gorgeous coastline (as opposed to a crowded beach full of sun loungers). There is a road between the beach and hotel but this really does not subtract in any way from the experience, more than worth it for a quiet, peaceful location. Rooms are very spacious, kitchens are well equipped and everything is clean (and tidy). Couldn't ask for more!
