• Jutta Lamers (10/5): - Sehr gemütliches Guest House, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Schöne große Terasse, Jedes Zimmer hatte einen Zugang zur Terasse. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett, Hilfreich mit Hinweisen über Aktivitäten in Oudtshoorn. Der offene Wohnraum hat eine kleine Küchenzeile, die für das Frühstücken gut ausgestattet ist. Ein Grill steht für abendliche Mahlzeiten auf der Terasse zur Verfügung.

Our host thought of everything that we might need and it was provided. A very comfortable stay and very good value for money. Only thing I could think of is maybe an awning over the table on the balcony to shield the morning sun if you want to have breakfast outdoors, but it really wasn't a big issue at all!

Es gab immer hilfreiche Tipps und nette Gespräche, die unseren Aufenthalt besonders angenehm gemacht haben. Ein besonderes Highlight war der Austausch über die Guaven-Ernte – wir durften sogar welche probieren, was uns sehr gefallen hat und das Erlebnis einzigartig macht. Der Check-in war unkompliziert und reibungslos. Die Unterkunft ist großzügig bemessen und bietet wirklich alles, was man braucht: eine durchdachte Ausstattung, bequeme Möbel und eine schöne, einladende Einrichtung. Die Räume wirken hell und gepflegt, und man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Die Lage ist ruhig und entspannend, ideal zum Abschalten. Vor dem Haus stehen kostenfreie Parkplätze zur Verfügung, was die An- und Abreise erleichtert.

Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Das Einzige....aber das ist schon auf hohem Niveau gejammert........., ein Esstisch hat gefehlt.

• Natasha (9/5): Excellent location, friendly service and very comfortable stay! - This was such a lovely place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed it and Antoinette was so friendly. The beds were comfy, the kitchenette was lovely and the location was great. The only issue was that a lot of the light switches didn’t do anything which was a bit confusing. Also, we couldn’t get the aircon to work in the one bedroom. There seemed to only be one remote for 2 aircons and we managed to get the one in the main bedroom to work but the other one wouldn’t turn on. The other thing I would suggest is putting a lamp in the lounge as sitting in there with the bright overhead light at night is very bright. Even on the dimmest setting. These are minor things though and we lived our stay!

• Shannon (8/5): Excellent value for money, very comfy beds - Antoinette is a lovely host, very welcoming. The apartment is sufficient for a stayover, SUPER comfy beds and very quiet area. The electrical blanket in main bedroom was a lovely surprise. I feel the photos are misleading as they are taken with a major wide angle lense. The apartment is much smaller than it looks. Because of the pics I assumed it was a full kitchen, which it wasn’t. No oven. The main issue is the heating / cooling system. You can’t have it on at night as it’s too loud. The one on the lounge didn’t do much to heat up the room. A gas heater would be really great for this small space. The kettle also needs sorting out as it’s gone all copper on the inside.

• Alice (10/5): Fabulous - We loved our stay at Feather’s Nest. We had the warmest welcome from Antoinette who was just lovely and gave us recommendations for places to visit and eat. The apartment was perfect, clean and comfortable and there was even an induction hob which was useful when we wanted to eat at home. Great outdoor space and very nice e decorated inside. Antoinette kept us updated when load shedding happened and provided backup lights too.

The balcony is huge and we enjoyed a braai on our last night there The ceiling fans are very loud (the one in the master bedroom probably needs looking at). The Kitchen is more like a Kitchenette for basic cooking. We didn't realise the apartment had a small staircase which wasn't ideal for us with a crawling baby, but that was our fault for not checking in advance.
