Donc je ne suis pas très contente de mon choix car le contrat n'est pas rempli de leur part. C'était pour l'anniversaire de mon fils. Dommage

• Caroline (8/5): Despite limitations in the hotel my daughter and I had a great few days together in NY. - Great location. I expected more drawers and clothes storage. Plus a fridge that I could use personally without mini bar stuff in. Plus being able to access ice for my room. And coffee/tea making would be nice. The fact that I couldnt get my own ice for my room. Nor could I empty my suitcase to store my clothes, personals etc in a drawer. Very limited storage space. Tea/coffee making in the room, and a fridge is very nice too.

Very expensive hotel so one would expect at least a coffee machine and courtesy water in the rooms. None of that. The neighborhood is great for foodies and upscale shoppers but no convenience stores really close by. In many respects I honestly expected more and better. The noise level at the hotel is high. Heater, toilet flush, honking of cars in the street etc u are surrounded by noise even in higher floors.Room decor is ok but could be updated. In spite of what they advertise the pool is out of service, major disappointment because we really picked the hotel to enjoy the rooftop. Room service is great though and the food really yummy

La piscine etait vide. Room service approximatif ( assiette charcuterie et fromzge sans pain ni beurre) Bruit des le matin tot entre les claquages de porte et le menage. The staff was friendly and very on top of it, even offering umbrella service and always opening the door as we enter and exit. The location is perfect and we enjoyed both the lobby lounge and also the rooftop bar and scenic views. 10/10. Also, the room was spacious, soft sheets, and nice bathroom. The gym is modern and fancy sauna.

There are only a couple of lifts and as the rooftop is used as a bar you could be waiting for sometime for the lift to be able to access your room or leave your floor. Ross, all around everywhere guy..bellman, doorman and smile maker made every come/go happy. Rooms were clean and nice. Room service didn't start until 7AM which is TOUGH for morning coffee needs. Location great. We had a few issues but the above mentioned DREAM TEAM did everything in their control to make us HAPPY! THANK YOU and we will visit again!
• stokiecat01 (10/5): What a great hotel - Having considered similarly priced hotels in the Theatre district, we were so pleased to have chosen the Gansevoort, not just for the less crowded environment in which it is located but also for the generally open and friendly atmosphere and the staff who took the trouble to remember our names and were ever helpful. The rooms were spacious and well equipped. Perhaps the feature that took some getting used to were the sliding doors, not only to the wardrobe but also to the bathroom. We soon got used to it but forgot to explain to guests who visited us. On the top floor ( with an outdoor pool) is a great bar which clearly attracts a lot of people after work. We had a very pleasant supper there, entertained by an extensive firework display in Jersey City. Otherwise we took breakfast out of the hotel (as I need gluten free food). There are many bars and restaurants within a short walk. If we were to be back in NYC we would definitely stay here again.

• dnk95 (4/5): Disappointing Stay Despite Great Location and Amenities - I understand the Gansevoort has been around for a while and is hardly a new kid on the block. The rooms feel dated, and the staff come across as aloof and extremely unhelpful. However, the gym, sauna, and location are the hotel’s only redeeming qualities. I’ve stayed here before, but it had been a while, and this visit left me very disappointed by the lack of professionalism from the staff.
• johntw105 (2/5): Terrible - I booked a room at $600 a night and when I checked in, there was another patron who was struggling atthe front desk to find a way to lower the temperature in his room. It was suggested to him that he opened the window. I got to my room and the temperature was 74° and I tried to adjust the thermostat to cool the room as I might expect I would be able to do in a high-end hotel. The thermostat was non-responsive and when I called the front desk, they offered me a fan and suggested I open a window. They also noted that when there were warm days, such as this that their systems weren’t capable of being responsive to these kinds of changes and suggested that given today was warm, but the remainder of the week was going to be cold again that they were not going to adjust their systems to be responsive to clients who were not able to address the heat in their room. At a hotel, such as this, I would expect that the engineering teams would be on call and ready to adjust up and down and facilitate the comfort of the guest staying in the hotel.

• Melinda (10/5): - The room was so comfy and clean. It was clear this was a 5-star, highly rated hotel, but without feeling stuffy. The food was delicious, and the staff was effortlessly supportive. I would absolutely stay there again. V I would have loved to see a plus-size option for the robe and larger towels. I would have loved to have breakfast included. I ordered Instacart. It would have been wonderful if the front desk had automatically delivered it to my room. These are all things that would be awesome extras, though, and did not take away at all from the wonderful experience I had.

This is the email I received from the the hotel: “ Hi, as per your request, please be advised when looking for rooms on the hotel website the $460.00 rate you see first is just an estimated rate and not the actual rates you will pay for the room. Please be advised you reservation will remain as confirmed” Since when do hotels give an estimate and not the real rate? I was told via telephone that is just to “draw people in”. Do yourself a favor folks and book elsewhere. This is bait and switch at its finest and the person on the phone “doesn’t know what to do about it”. Run away from this place. I should have known when they wrote “as per.”
• X692YFkarens (10/5): NYC weekend for our sons engagement party - We stayed at the Gansevoort Meatpacking last weekend . I would give the experience a 100 if I could . I loved Gabi at the front desk. She got us checked in and out She was so kind, efficient and welcoming . The ladies in the lobby coffee shop were great too . The bell men were outstanding . I can’t remember all their names . My husband is in a wheelchair and they went above and beyond to get him in Ubers and into the hotel. I think they all need a raise. We had an amazing experience .

Bathroom was a disaster, toilet malfunctioning.

• Sonji (8/5): I enjoyed my staycation. I would stay at the Gansevoort again. - Convenient location, you can walk to wherever you please. Rented a daybed by the pool for 2 days, on day one I showed up at 4 :00 p.m. as my reservation stated that I had the daybed from 2:15 PM – 4:15 PM & 4:20 pm-6:20 PM. My daybed wasn't ready when I arrived on day 1. I had to show the pool attendants my confirmation email twice to prove that I did in fact rented a daybed. The following day, I'm in the elevator on my way to the pool, I assume this person was a manager, asked my name after I mentioned I had an incident at the pool yesterday with my daybed not being ready. Instead of apologizing, she blamed me for not showing up at 2:00 p.m.! Blame the patron, classy, professional, great customer service 🥴! You see, when I reserved the daybed I was told that I will be charged regardless of whether I showed up or not. So even if I had showed up at 5:00 p.m. my daybed should have been ready and waiting for me. Get your life together honey. My money is just as green as everyone else that patronize your hotel.

• Kathleen (7/5): Disappointed. - The location was perfect. The price was NYC during the holiday pricing. The rooms were very nice. I chose the hotel as a fun experience with my niece to swim on top in the winter chill with the heated aspect. But, they had just changed the water and it was polar plunge material which was not doable for us. It was literally the reason we stayed there and the fact that I was excited to eat at the sushi restaurant upstairs which was closed due to renovations.

• ZEJMl (6/5): Not For Families, by design - Adorable boutique hotel. It has some glaring design flaws that are weirdly becoming common design choices - a decade from now history will look at these design choices and ask - what idiot thought that was a good idea ? For example…barn door sliders on the bathrooms that don’t latch and slide open leaving unavoidable gaps. Half a see through door on the shower, the entire set up means you had better be a very comfortable exhibitionist with your chosen roomies. No additional lounge chairs or table space of any kind save a very small office chair. It may sleep a family of four, but its clear they want young romantic couples, not the typical age and stage of traveling Americans. Spare your older children or your aging bodies the embarrassment of this set up. The lobby area is equally as unaccommodating, with one small couch offering seating space during check in (and most people check in and out at the same times meaning a large bottle neck in a small area). Its very cute, but someone with practical knowledge of travel and staying in hotels needs to re design the rooms and common areas.

• dustinw988 (2/5): Horrible Hospitality - Horrible Hospitality At the bar at the Gansevoort Meatpacking, the Food & Beverage Manager, John, saw me enter and still had me wait about 10 minutes, only to cancel my drink order and say the bar was “closed.” This was done rudely and without any apology. As a hotel guest, this level of service was unacceptable. John was not welcoming or professional. I would never stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting basic hospitality.

Easy to walk to restaurants and shops in the West Village, Greenwich Village and Chelsea. Grand Deluxe room on high floor with great view. Very spacious and comfortable. Friendly staff especially the doormen. Air con a bit unreliable. We had to have maintenance up several times to try to get it going. Our Grand Deluxe room only had a Queen bed - I think a King bed should be standard in such a large room. No water provided in the room so you either have to buy it yourself or ask at reception and they will produce small cartons from under the counter. They told me they aren’t allowed to offer it but can give it to guests if requested. Only a small complaint but I would expect a five star hotel to provide water by the bed. Also no turn down service. Again that’s unusual in my experience for a five star hotel.

• jbray99 (10/5): Amazing Hotel!! - This is one of the best experiences we’ve ever had at a hotel. The rooms are remarkably roomy for a New York property. We had a view of the river which was fantastic. Everything was clean and tastefully decorated. The whole vibe was hip and cool but also warm and inviting. And the staff was exceptional. Erika, Ross, Brahim, Gabriel, Melvin and every single other staff member we encountered was extremely friendly, helpful and went above and beyond. Cannot wait to stay there again. Thank you Gansevoort!!

• deepakt891 (6/5): Not a full service hotel. Unfriendly and unhelpful staff - Gansevoort advertises itself as a full-service luxury hotel. My experience felt more like a mid-tier hotel that hangs a high price tag on its rooms due to location. Pros: - close to EWR for flights in and out of the city - location may be attractive to leisure travelers - rooms are clean and housekeeping is attentive Cons: - when I checked in at 7pm on Tuesday, with 35 degree weather and wind chill there was absolutely no one to help me with the door. Same happened on the way out - there was a woman with two large bags checking out and leaving the hotel and there was no one to help until I had to go and hold the doors open for her - room service - the person on the phone was curt and sounded like they were having a bad day but why take it out on a customer? - no express laundry service - if you have to get your suit pressed for the day, it’s not an option. Express pressing services are common and expected at every 5 star establishment and I see this service offered consistently across the country (I’m on the road well over half the time). I was in town for a black tie fundraiser and ended up trudging along in the cold to find a laundry service in the neighborhood - front desk staff are mostly cold, and often unhelpful, far from friendly and welcoming Unfortunately this will be my last stay at the Gansevoort.

• Oren67 (2/5): Not honost - the stay at the hotel was fine. My problem began after I tried to book again, and the hotel did not respect the price they committed too (in writing). Since then I am trying to get their response with no success.
• mariedD6070OM (2/5): Poor customer service - All booked in for 17/10/25 and had to ring the hotel for some help and was faced with such a hurrendous customer experience, basically didn’t want to help us and want to charge £100 a night for someone to make a bed. It’s our daughter’s 16th birthday present, not a great start.
• Joyce (5/5): Great location but needs repair and renovation to be worth the high price - Good breakfast, great convenient location. Mattress was too soft and got a sore backache. One of the lighting switches wasn’t working. The toilet flush handle hand to be depressed really hard for it to flush. Temperature control didnt work.

Sleep was an issue from the constant door slamming from other residents. Great pool/service team upstairs and concierge team! No coffee machine in the rooms still? We left disappointed after this visit and could see the hotel's demise after each stay. Notified management via email; poor response and communication from them, resulted in us being ignored. Great location...hotel needs improvement.

Hotel itself has some beautiful bars but one was closed for private events the entire time of our stay. Rooftop bar has great views, friendly staff and good food. DJ was playing music but it was so loud for such a small space. Hard to talk across our small table. Overall would recommend for a weekend get away.
• jainie (8/5): Loved our stay!! Was amazing - Amazing location in the heart of the meatpacking area - 2 min walk from Chelsea Market. Really nice, clean, modern and big rooms - unique for new york hotel rooms! Easy to walk to west village and soho. Pool was amazing. Very minor things but there was not a proper door on the toilet / bathroom - it was a sliding door that didn't stay closed so not ideal. The towels were also tiny and the pillows average but these are minor things in the scheme of things!

• LILIANA (10/5): A very good stay at the Gansevoort - - Terrific room with a view. Clean, had all the toiletries one needs, and room service was great. My objectives were: to be able to walk to the Whitney, the Highline and then to the Chelsea galleries. So the Gansevoort was a perfect stay. Nothing.
