Ample and tasty breakfast served by friendly staff - who seemed genuinely pleased we were staying there! Only because the question is there, we'd have liked hot plates at breakfast - but almost nowhere seems to serve food on hot plates these days.

The staff was very helpful when messaging with us and our requests for the check in time and for a room with a bath tub were met right away. The room was extremely big and spacious, very comfortable, and equipped with a kettle, coffee, tea and biscuits. There was some mold around the bath tub. When the room service did the room, they didn't replace our dirty cups and the milk, which is a minor thing, but for the price we paid, we'd expect a little more care for details.

Comfy and welcoming. Staff are great and always look after us. Food is lovely too. The boys even had a go on the driving range this visit. Look forward to our next stay.

The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. We were greeted by friendly staff when we arrived and also serving us breakfast the next day. The breakfast was exceptional from the perspective of both quality and quantity. I would recommend.

• Sarah (6/5): Good value for money but very basic, pretty much just a room, bar closes very early. - Nice spacious room, very peaceful, warm and comfortable bed. Very helpful staff. The bar closes at 6:30pm and with nothing local means you have to travel somewhere. No real amenities outside of a comfortable room. There was a lot of dust and hair under the bed. Also bath with shower fitting now a proper shower which was a bit disappointing

• Tracy (1/5): Our stay lasted no more than 10mins as the room was dirty . We left to find another hotel - Nothing. The room was dirty and had live bugs in the bath. The kettle had not been cleaned and had old water in from previous visitors? cups were stained , bedding had tears in the sheet. As a non smoking property there was a very strong smell of Marijuana .

Dinner was good, a nice salad for diabetic would be helpful but staff did their best to accommodate. Shabby chic hotel would describe it. Bathroom vould do with a deep clean, areas like skirting board, mastic round the bath.

• Terry (9/5): Excellent, Very Comfortable relaxing stay - Recommended - The hotel is very clean, the rooms being spotless and very well maintained. The decor and furnishings are warm, comfortable and relaxing. The bed was large and comfortable and the bathroom was great, with his and hers basins, large bath and shower unit. All in a traditional country-cottage style decor. A/C in room. We did not stay for breakfast but this was available at the clubhouse 2 mins walk away. Parking was easy and location easy to find. Excellent communication from the start. Would certainly stay again. We did not like the air-conditioning as it was pumping out warm air then blasts of cold air throughout the night. In hindsight we should have turned it off, but we were thinking of ventilation. It would have been too cold to keep a window open (February) We were informed in the paperwork sent by Booking.com and hotel that reception closed at 7pm. This was incorrect as in winterr months the reception closes at 5-5.30 when it goes dark. This wasn't made clear. Not so much of a problem than an inconvenience trying to relay information to the other couple who were already on their way there and trying to talk to the hotel reception whilst driving. In the end we were sent late arrival instructions by text but had to stop and relay this to the other guests. However, we arrived okay and instructions were very clear. Thank you.

Er kwam zelfs een menukaart aan te pas varierend van full English breakfast tot gerookte zalm met ei en toast. Erg lekker. We konden heerlijk buiten op het terras ontbijten! Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Prachtige ligging op landgoed van een golfclub, dus ook zeer rustig. Helaas deed de douchekop/kraan het niet en moest je je wassen in de badkuip (kamer 5), ook mocht wel eens de kit gereinigd worden. Toilet werkte pas na meerdere keren proberen door te spoelen.

The rooms cleanliness was terrible. Cob webs, stains, bugs, hairs etc. someone else’s clothes in the wardrobe, coffee mugs not been cleaned still had marks in & a crumb of a biscuit. Spoons unclean coffee marks, bedding has marks on, toilet dirty.. bedside tables was filthy.

• Anja (10/5): Relaxing stay in spacious family room - We have visited before and just love the quiet setting in the middle of a sizeable and very well kept golf course. The club house is a lovely setting for breakfast which is excellent. It is great fun to practice skills on the driving range next to the club house. • Em (8/5): Comfortable, clean rooms and honest, upfront hotel. - Extremely comfortable beds and gloriously large bath with taps that actually provide decent strength of flow and properly hot water. The room was very clean indeed and for once in a hotel there was enough wardrobe and drawer space, as well as a sofa and desk. On the whole, this is an honest, upfront hotel - no nasty surprises, and it delivers all that if offers. It is extremely comfortable and we will continue staying there every time we visit the area as we have found nowhere better nearby. A fridge with fresh milk and coffee machine would have been desirable (also a door to screen off snores from the person in the second bedroom in our family room!). The handheld shower is a bit of a drawback - even a hook to hang it on on the wall would make a big difference as it is hard to shower one-handed! Breakfast was good apart from the mashed avocado, which was very, very cold indeed, especially in the middle (the second time this has happened at this hotel!).
