Guest Reviews
- Lauren L (10/5): My favorite stay across the country - The room was immaculate, the owners, who also manage the site, were friendly and helpful.
The outside grounds were lovely.. swimming pool, gas fire pit with comfortable seating, and lovely outdoor seating in the garden area.
I will definitely stay here again!
- Vincenzo (10/5): - Very friendly and complimentary .Willing to accommodate as needed . Owners are great. The grounds are meticulous. The rooms impeccable.
- Reinier (8/5): Excellent stay - Well maintained The mattress were a bit hard
- Vadim (10/5): -
- MemoryofMoose (8/5): Good value for an Overnight :-) - My search focused on a low price (in this area) and great reviews. The.price was close to 100 and recent views were fantastic, so I booked. The room was actually very, very clean; it was quiet, the whole night; they offered acceptable coffee and some noshes in the morning; and the location was ideal for us. The young couple who own the establishment are very attentive to your needs and seem to be putting in the care and effort needed to run a motel like this. I'm used to roomy 4-star hotels...but I have no real complaint about my experience and the value I received for one night at the Maple Terrace in Williamstown. I can recommend.
- Shayne (10/5): Perfect. - The owners were so nice and welcoming. The park area is lovely. It is near to interesting sites. No complaints
- Kris (9/5): -
- Walter (10/5): Splendid Motel - Beautiful surroundings, spacious, comfortable room. Friendly staff
- Duarte (9/5): -
- Tobin (8/5): Quick trip. Nice place. Convenient to town. Recommend. - Very convenient to college. Good room. Friendly staff Little pricey but everything in Williamstown is

- Sarah (10/5): Will certainly return. Great place to enjoy Williamstown. - This is a lovely property — well maintained and thoughtfully managed by a welcoming family. Rooms are clean and well equipped — comfortable beds and linens! Love the pool and fire pit area. Lots of spring flowers blooming😊
- Radioktivec (8/5): - Free parking. Small breakfast selection.
- Marjorie (9/5): Short but sweet❣️ - Convenient,very clean,and felt very welcome. Breakfast wasn’t early enough.!!
- Schwartz (9/5): Very short stay, just one night, but they upgraded my daughter and I to two beds and the owners were so kind, helpful, a - Great location and super friendly owners.
- Sklarew (10/5): -
- Caroline (8/5): -
- Kirsten (8/5): Great location for Williams College visit. - Great location and very clean. Bed were comfortable. A little noisy as walls are thin.
- Mary Ellen (9/5): We had a lovely and clean room and the hosts were quite friendly and helpful. - The continental breakfast met our expectations. The room was quite spacious with plenty of towels and a binder filled with information. Very minor, but the remote control for the TV was very hard to maneuver and made a simple task of choosing a station into a frustrating and time consuming exercise each time.
- Aleksandr (10/5): -
- Alina Sophia (9/5): -
- Ellen (6/5): Adequate for a one night stay. - For a one night stay, the room was adequate. Nothing fancy, but the bed was comfortable, hot water was hot, the TV was big. Check in and out was easy. I'm sensitive to smells, and the room did have an odor. Not terrible, but like it needed a deep cleaning or at least airing out. I was surprised that there was only a shower stall and it was quite small. Breakfast offerings were minimal and in a very small, cramped area.
- Valter (8/5): -
- Christine (8/5): - My shower water went cold when a neighboring room was also showering.
- Melinda (8/5): This is a great little family run motel that is very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend! - Extremely clean family run motel convenient to Williams College The rooms need some updating.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Beautiful place, loved my visit! The owners were very nice and friendly! - This place was absolutely charming and the owners were very nice and attentive. I look forward to returning again in the near future. The horses in the farms nearby and the pool were an absolute bonus. Thank you!
- John (7/5): - The yard was beautiful. Although close to the road, it did not seem like it. They provided a relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast was the usual fare. The air conditioning worked ok.
- Nancy (9/5): A lovely get-a-way, very clean and comfortable. We'll be back! - Room was so clean and very comfy. The grounds were beautiful. We liked the location, very convenient. We wish we had more time there!
- Thomas (8/5): efficient, pleasant - location was great right on the main drag, room was small but perfect for one. I liked the grounds behind the motel. i was only there 12 hours, and didn't have breakfast. Not much to not like.
- ncmParis1977 (10/5): Excellent Value - Comfortable and immaculate room, friendly staff, easy check in/ out. Excellent value. Would definitely stay here again.
- 800kaatjew (10/5): Always a Quiet, Restful ,Wonderful Stay at The Maple Terrace - We always love the Maple Terrace for friends and family visiting us in Williamstown and for ourselves when our house if full! The rooms are spotless and large and we love that you can open the windows and also control your own heat without loud fans. Easy walk to town, restaurants and coffee shops and the Williams College campus. Lovely quiet spot with fabulous owners and staff!
- 123yanar (10/5): Great motel! - We stayed at Maple Terrace Motel in Williamstown, Massachusetts for one night, and this was our second visit. Once again, everything was excellent. The motel is extremely clean, and you can clearly see how much care and attention goes into maintaining the property. It’s a family-run motel, and they take care of the place very, very well. The room was spotless, comfortable, and quiet, making our stay very pleasant. We truly appreciate the consistency and high standards. Highly recommended, and we would gladly stay here again.
- Kevin (10/5): - Easily walkable to Williams Campus which made the visit logistically much easier. Very kind owners.
- Bill (10/5): - Extremely pleasant people will stay again
- Francesco (10/5): -

- Paul (8/5): -
- gernallen (10/5): Great stay - Our stay at Maple Terrace was a great experience. The owners Rita and Ashwan were very friendly and even suggested places to visit in Williamstown. Our room was super clean and the property immaculately kept. We loved the modern look combined with an old-fashioned motel feel. Will definitely check here first when we're back in the area.
- TrickyTrevLondon (10/5): Enjoyable stay in Williamstown - Very enjoyable stay. We recently stayed at the Maple Terrace when visiting Williamstown. Room was comfortable, staff friendly and an excellent breakfast. Would recommend a stay when visiting Williamstown.
- The Oldies (10/5): If we could have given it an 11, we would have - We liked the friendly welcome on arrival. The room was lovely. We appreciated the pastries and little chocolates left in the room. The outside areas were calm and relaxing. While we didn't use the pool, the pool area did look inviting. Everything was absolutely fine for us.
- Ilene (10/5): - Excellent, the best pet welcome ever.
Appreciate the blanket, water bowl, treats.
They welcome dogs up to 100 lbs.
They have dog litter bags.
Fresh fruit and other offerings for breakfast.
Great location!
- Jonathan (10/5): - Do yourself a favor and reserve at this special Motel. It is rare to encounter such welcoming hospitality and cleanliness. Our bathroom was spotless and the room was clean. The Breakfast was modest but outstanding with fresh organic strawberries and various breads. I can’t remember having such a good lodging experience such as this in the USA.
- Michael (10/5): -
- Wolfgang (9/5): -
- miller (10/5): - Loved everything about this motel Not allowed to smoke outside ur door even with it closed even though there were ash trays throughout on the sidewalks
- Departure730329 (10/5): Wonderful place to stay - Great place to stay, always clean, quiet, with beautiful garden and pastoral grounds with views of farmland. Wonderful gas firepit with plenty of Adirondack chairs.
- David (8/5): - Great place, and the owners are very helpful. I’d give it five stars, but it’s a motel, so….
The back area is nice and it looks out to a rural setting. Williamstown is an easy walk through the graveyard and across a bridge - much nicer than walking along route 2.
- Bella (9/5): Perfect - Very clean, comfortable & friendly family run motel Nothing
- Jess (10/5): - Clean, friendly, efficient.
- Sean (10/5): - Clean and walkable with nice pool
- U4614MIkareng (10/5): Would definitely go back!! - Great place to stay! Very quaint and quiet with lovely grounds. Super friendly people. Rooms are very clean. A great location to see attractions to the south, or north to Vermont.
- Peter (10/5): - One of the best places I have ever stayed. Clean, comfortable and cozy.
- Anderson (10/5): A great little motel with group friendly gardens. 10 out of 10! - Clean and comfortable. The host is outstanding!
- Cristina (8/5): - Thick smell of smoke/marijuana from neighboring room
But otherwise a lovely hotel with friendly staff and adorable setting
- John (10/5): Clean, comfortable, convenient and a good value. - We travelled overnight from home at the last minute (67 yo couple and small dog). Maple Terrace was the perfect place for us to stay overnight. It was clean, comfortable and convenient. The grounds were very nice to stroll with our dog. Nothing
- Joel (10/5): Delightful stay! - Everything! Clean, comfortable. Extra touches with Hershey kisses, bottles of water and miniature coffee cake with the room coffee. Continent breakfast was more than a continental breakfast! Shower could have been hotter
- Michael (9/5): -
- MICHELLE (10/5): -
- Kimi (8/5): Modest but nice place to stay. - The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Loved the massive weeping willows at the back of the property and seeing the pastures (and in the morning horses) of the neighboring farm. The room smelled musty when we first arrived. Opening the windows and door cleared that out. It was difficult to keep the shower water in the shower enclosure and not on the bathroom floor which showed evidence of previous leakage.
- ashelap2025 (10/5): Great stay! - We were not familiar with the area , we chose the property because of its proximity to Williams College (only half mile) and we looked at the reviews. No regrets. We had everything we need- toiletries, coffee, microwave & refrigerator. The owners are very accommodating & responsive. Booked our next stay for October. I highly recommend you check it out!
- cristinecrom (10/5): Love this place! - We love Maple Terrace and stay there whenever we're in Williamstown. We've recommended it to others who also are now big fans of this motel. The location is great, in the beautiful Berkshires, walking distance to Williams College, close to The Clark, and on the main road but set back so there is no road noise. The grounds are simply gorgeous, and the back area includes picnic tables, a sparkling clean heated pool (motel has pool towels available on request), and (new to us this visit) a lovely firepit (which can be turned on by request). This is an old-fashioned drive-up-to-your-door motel, which is fun. The rooms are well appointed (nice bed, writing table, TV, small table with 2 chairs, mini-fridge, microwave, iron and ironing board), a decent size, and clean as a whistle. The bathroom is small and also super clean and, at least in our room this visit, was updated recently. The owners are lovely and eager to make your stay comfortable. We haven't ever tried their breakfast, which starts at 7am, because we have always needed to leave earlier. This place really is a gem; don't miss it if you're in the area.
- Kathleen (8/5): - The property was clean and quiet. The management was polite and helpful.
- Tania (10/5): - Excellent place.
Bountiful view.
- Montenegro (8/5): -
- Salerno (9/5): - This place was really nice. Quiet, clean, comfortable environment. Would definitely recommend staying there. It's not a big deal, but the breakfast could of had more selection.
- Willys (9/5): Very enjoyable return visit. - Well maintained. Lovely owners. Simple but functional and clean rooms.
- MICHELLE (10/5): It was fantastic! - I did not participate in breakfast but t it was offered. It is a beautiful location. The rooms were very well maintained. You have access to a small refrigerator, microwave, ironing board, hair dryer and toiletries. Very clean. They have a heated pool with a fire pit and chairs around it. The landscaping is beautiful. So well maintained. I would recommend this precious finding to everyone. Maybe more parking.
- Philippe (10/5): -
- Richard (9/5): -
- Scott (8/5): Recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay - Clean very organized and well equipped room, lawn with chairs, pool Nothing
- William (10/5): - The room was large, neat, and nicely appointed. The bedding was divine! The grounds, including pool, firepit, and related areas were lovely. The staff was ever solicitous. Could not have been better!
- Abigail (10/5): - I had a feeling the moment we checked in that I’d wish for more time here—and sure enough, I did. Every corner felt thoughtfully cared for: outdoor spaces that invite you to linger, rooms that are both hygienic and comfortable, and a quiet, sprawling charm. The owners make bring a guest feel easy. If you’re in the Berkshires—or simply looking for an excuse to be—this inn alone is worth the trip!
- Carol (10/5): A Great Stay in Williamstown - I highly recommend the Maple Terrace Motel, where I spent three comfortable, pleasurable, quiet nights. The proprietors are so thoughtful and attentive to their guests, the swimming pool is crystal clear and clean, the lovely gardens are a great place to read and partake of the free breakfast. The location is ideal for visiting The Clark Institute, Mass MoCA, the Williams College museum and the main town street with restaurants, shops and a great little movie theater.
- alisonrT9019DT (10/5): Friendly Family place to Stay - We were looking for a place to stay while we did a Williams College tour. Finding a clean, affordable, and comfortable place for a family of 5 is not easy to do! Room 116 apartment was perfect to give us space to spread out. Rita and Ashwan were so welcoming and friendly. The continental breakfast was very nice. We all enjoyed the heated pool that overlooked rolling hills, farmland and horses! We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone. Thank you!
- lisamW6328RD (10/5): Beautiful spot in the Berkshires! - Our family loves Maple Terrace! The pool is pristine, the grounds are beautiful, the rooms are super comfortable and the owners are lovely and helpful. It is a very special place!
- 418mill (10/5): Yay! - Simple. Clean. Quiet. Safe. I'm having a hard time convincing myself that it's only for one night!
When you google for a place to stay, you're taking a crapshot. This one was a bullseye.
Nothing fancy, you're not paying for the chandelier. What you will get is a warm welcome, fluffy towels, a soft bed with decent sheets to sleep in.
The bonus is the property. Beautifully landscaped, with horses greeting you in the next field.
- Mark (9/5): Found this motel while on a motorcycle trip to the Berkshires and would stay her again in a heartbeat Very close to Wi - Very welcoming staff. Very nice grounds and room. No complaints.

- Patricia (10/5): - The grounds at the Maple Terrace Inn are LOVELY. Multiple seating areas surrounded by cottage gardens, a fire pit, and pool. The owners have turned a motor lodge into a little oasis.
- Sheila (9/5): -
- jengwenn (10/5): My favorite motel in the Berkshires - My favorite place to stay in the Berkshires! Great location, clean rooms, very helpful staff and service, friendly, beautiful gardens and grounds, pool, firepit, and good breakfast. Stay here and you'll love it.
- Moreno (10/5): Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The continental breakfast included delicious fresh fruit. - Beautiful landscaping
- LKorob (10/5): Terrific place to stay! - Maple Terrace is the BEST place to stay! Rooms are pleasant, clean and fresh. The beautiful pool, set far back from the road, faces a rustic hill where a horse grazes. On a hot afternoon it is ideally restorative. The manager and staff are friendly and helpful. Just a great place.
- Departure27974123072 (10/5): A wonderful and welcoming motel - we'll be back! - Thank you, Rita and Ashwan, for a welcoming stay at your motel! From check-in to check out our stay at The Maple Terrace was excellent. The room and bathroom were very clean and spacious for the two of us. The beds are very comfortable (firm but not hard) and the complimentary continental breakfast offered just what we like to start our day. (Don't miss out on the homemade blueberry poundcake!) We weren't able to enjoy the outdoor spaces much due to rainy weather and planned activities away from the hotel, but the grounds are lovely, with inviting seating areas in the shade. There is a pool too! This will be our "go-to" choice when we're lucky enough to return to Williamstown. I hope there will be availability when that next visit happens.
