Guest Reviews
- Greene (8/5): - Breakfast was good. Bed comfortable. No ice bucket
- JMCBMS (10/5): We will be staying here again on our next Austin trip. - Breakfast was well done - I want their quiche recipe. Location was good for us, near family, with side road access to bypass the construction mess on 290. Kitchen facilities were great with a full refrigerator and dishwasher. Living area was comfortable and roomy. The outdoor seating area was a welcome relaxation spot with a greenbelt behind it. The road construction - not their fault!
- P5954VPnicolek (10/5): Excellent Hotel Service & Price - Very clean, roomy (bathroom especially), excellent breakfast, & friendly/ professional staff (all)! Great price value too!
- MISTY (10/5): Amazing staff, very clean and beds were so comfortable - Pool and patio area was clean, great location to where we needed to go.
- Paul (10/5): Grace was exceptional. Caring, friendly & exceeded expectations. Thank you! - Location very good for my visit. All was well.

- Conway (10/5): An exceptionally positive stay! We highly recommend this hotel - Just about everything in this property was awesome. Staff on all shifts were friendly, courteous, and helpful. The room was clean, very comfortable and well stocked. Great hot breakfast that varied a little bit from day-to-day but always had many good hot and cold options. We will definitely want to stay here again.
- Robert (8/5): This hotel was super clean and very comfortable! - It was a pleasant stay, nothing sensational but definitely nothing bad - so I would DEFINITELY stay here again. We were in the area for an unplanned family emergency, so we weren't seeking a lot, but these guys run a good ship! Nothing I didn't like.
- yanksdu (4/5): I Do Not Recommend - I agree with the 4/13/25 TripAdvisor reviewer. You would think management would have made improvements based on his observations 6 months ago. I will repeat some negatives he mentioned, plus add more of my own personal experiences.
Starting with the negatives:
For Friday and Saturday nights, one of the two elevators was broken. This meant everyone staying on the upper floors (It’s 4 floors high.) shared ONE elevator. At times, it was slow getting from the 4th floor to the 1st floor, because people on the other floors (including cleaning staff) were using the same elevator.
Yesterday, I watched a male (dressed in black with a black backpack on) remove an electric scooter from the back rack of a nice van located just steps from the front doors of the hotel—-in broad daylight—-and take off on foot with the stolen scooter!
When leaving the hotel this morning, I saw another obviously homeless man with his “belongings” strewn about him—-including a huge tree limb—-sitting at the bus stop adjacent to the parking lot. Not good!
Whomever is in charge of the dining room, kitchen staff and food—> you should be fired! Yesterday and this morning, at 9 am (Breakfast is until 10 am Sat. and Sun.), there was very limited silverware. It’s as if the kitchen staff doesn’t stay on top of what is being used/running out —- and it’s frustrating that I had to find a kitchen staff member to request forks and spoons. Today, there was no yogurt. I asked, and was told that they ran out of yogurt. Are you kidding me? That was a first. What hotel doesn’t keep ample supplies of yogurt and bottled milk on hand. Yes, the bottled milk was either not there, or there were a FEW bottles at 9 am. The other person from the April review of this hotel mentioned the eggs were one big blob. Yep! Very unappealing. The bacon was cooked so long, it was extra crispy with a lot of pieces burned! The egg croissants had all been eaten when we got there this morning. I asked if the kitchen staff could put more out, and even though she didn’t speak English, she let me know there were none left. Forget grapes, strawberries, or any cut fresh fruit. We saw nothing like that—-not even a banana both mornings that we went down for breakfast. I gave NEVER seen sausages in such tiny pea-sized shapes, and that was a hard “no!” for me. Guests took their own dishes to the trash can area when finished. And yes, there needs to be more seating—-proper tables and chairs! The entire breakfast experience—-both mornings—-was a huge disappointment! I did discuss this with the lady who was at the front desk, since the kitchen staff could not speak English and they went to get her. …No apology or any offer of goodwill. And I was not the only guest asking for the missing food! Our 3-year-old grandson was with us, and yogurt is always his go-to breakfast. Well, apparently not this morning! We were scrounging around trying to find something else to feed him! And to think, I paid $235 total for 1 night for this “breakfast included” experience. Come on. Do better! There is NO excuse for running out of food!
The swimming pool is not heated, and it was too cold to use. The hot tub was too hot, and ants were all around it. Our grandson was bitten by an ant at the hot tub, and was too scared to stay there. I mentioned this to the front desk. The small pool towels are barely acceptable for use. They are certainly NOT pool sized.
Last night, we lost electricity for 45 minutes. We had to eat our left-over meal cold from the fridge, since there was no electricity to use the microwave.
The a/c comes on and off and is LOUD when it cycles. If you like a consistent sound when trying to sleep, use a “white noise” app on your smart phone to sleep.
The shower floor was discolored and slippery.
There was no small container of dish detergent in the kitchen. There was no extra paper towel or a few extra garbage bags.
All of the above screams out to me to be “cost cutting” measures that a hotel charging over $200 a night should happily provide as “standard.”
The positive:
It is a nice, modern hotel, and the room was spacious and clean. There was not a lot of highway noise, which was surprising considering how close the rooms that face Highway 290 are located. The mattress was very comfortable (firm), and the sheets and towels were crisp and clean. The a/c kept the room very cool.
Personally, the negatives outweighed the positives. With so many hotels to choose from in Austin, this one will NOT get our business the next time we are in town.
- Alan (8/5): - Coffee was too strong. Eggs did not look too appetizing.
- Sabrina (6/5): - The hotel was nice and everything was clean. We loved the layout of the room we had. Breakfast was great and pool/gym were pleasant. The only issue was the condition of the shower and an odd smell in our room.
- Keith (10/5): - Very pleasant experience.
- Samantha (10/5): - Everyone was kind and accommodating
- Juliana (10/5): - Clean room friendly staff
- Lorena (8/5): - Everything was awesome with the exception of a weird smell in the room
- Kelley (10/5): - Nice big room & clean!
- Ashley (10/5): - Great hotel to stay at!
- Christy (10/5): It was enjoyable and we felt very safe.staff went out of their way to give us a nice view thank you❣️ - The staff were very friendly. Rooms were very clean. The only thing i would change would be to use real fresh eggs at breakfast. Not powdered eggs. The $110 pet charge. I feel it should be refunded if room is exceptionally kept and cleaned and confirmed by housekeeper.
- Diana (10/5): - Bed is comfortable, rooms are clean and service was very good, front desk was very friendly.
- Tina (10/5): - It was great.
- Laura (10/5): Great stay! - Nice comfortable room
- Karen (8/5): - I was very happy with this hotel overall with one exception...the pool. I booked here specifically for the pool only to find that the maintenance was neglected and there was algae in the pool. I was informed at check in that the pool had been recently shocked, but this was clearly a pool that has not been properly maintained. We were very disappointed! All other aspects of the hotel were excellent, from check in to check out, friendly staff, all areas and room were clean, comfortable bed, ect. I would stay here again but before booking would ask if the pool looked as clear as shown in the hotel photos.
- Veronica (10/5): - Everything
- ameneh (8/5): - Everything was excellent, though it would have been nice if the breakfast had a bit more variety.
- Taylor (6/5): - We loved the hotel and that it was family friendly. My only complaint is that we had black mold in our room. I added a picture
- Mohammad (8/5): - Bathroom floor looks like faded. Multiple circuit breakers for kitchens is tripped when entered.
- Eva (8/5): - Clean and the staff was friendly!
- Rebecca (8/5): Durango Traveler - Very nice hotel. Lots of highway work close by though.
- Vallian (10/5): - Great pool and breakfast
- NAYLOR (8/5): -
- Robbe (8/5): Lovely pool - The hotel was great. The weather was lousy which put a kink in our stay.We weren't able to use the pool but it looked lovely. The only thing lacking was the availability of water. In the giant water pitcher in the lobby it was often empty. Also the gym water dispenser didn't work.
- C (6/5): - My tv’s in my suite did not work. Would not show channels
- Lizbeth (10/5): Welcoming and clean facility. Loved my stay! - Everything was clean and everyone was very welcoming <3 Nothing, everything was perfect!
- Nathaly (10/5): Súpero mis expectativas - Excelente lugar amplio cómodo muy limpio excelente desayuno repetiría mi estadía
- Sean (10/5): - Large rooms fully equipped
- Veda (8/5): - Staff was attentive and friendly.
- Corey (10/5): - Very nice property.
- Yen-ching (9/5): Good overall - Breakfast none
- Mojgan (8/5): - This was a great hotel. Very clean and new looking. Well maintained! The only thing I didn’t like was that our room was facing the hwy and the overpass. It was not a pretty sight when opening the curtains. They said they were full and couldn’t change my room. If planning to stay ask for a room facing the pool side.
Nice kitchen and big fridge. Great for extended stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The hotel and service are fine but quite noisy neighbors in the hallway and through the walls. You can hear them all the way to the early morning. Understandably not the hotel's fault perse, but affected the overall experience immensely.
- Alexei (10/5): Convenient - Great comfort and breakfast, ease of access to the Barton Creek area that we used for our hike.
- carol (8/5): - I wished the pool had been heated!
- Russell (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gregory (10/5): - Clean and quiet.
- W615YAal (8/5): A homebase - We stayed in a comfortable king suite. The stand-in singing shower was nice. Hot breakfast had a varied selection, including Texas shaped waffles which were highlights for me. The staff are super sweet, especially Miss Renee and Miss Grace. Overall a most pleasant experience at a hotel that is clean and very well maintained.
- TimeTravellr (8/5): Slightly under par for a Residence Inn, but good enough that I will return - The room was comfortable and clean, though slightly less than what I typically expect from a Residence Inn. The staff was pleasant, available, and helpful.
Hot water was quick and plentiful. Bath towels were rather small. Housekeeping did a good job.
The bathtub was extraordinarily slippery and very dangerous. When I called the front desk for a rubber mat, they sent one up right away. Interestingly, my three colleagues in the same hotel reported that their tubs and showers had texture and were not slippery at all.
The breakfast was very disappointing. The scrambled eggs were a solid, baked(?) mass. The remaining food was good. Coffee was not only horrible, but never hot. Even the hot water urn contained water that was barely warm. The bus tray was constantly overflowing. It seems like the breakfast staff could use a little more help. Finally, the seating area was uncomfortable for eating. A few more standard tables (not coffee tables with easy chairs) would be greatly appreciated.
The location was not good for walking to other businesses. With a car, it was an excellent location, very convenient to highways and to nearby office locations.
- Tony (10/5): - Breakfast
- RocFamily (8/5): Nice facility and clean - Staff was pleasant. Drawbacks were : elevator way down hallway. Tv is like satellite tv - lots of screen snow randomly cutting in. Worst is toilet shoved up against wall in bathroom-claustrophobic. Plan to get cramped by the odd placement of toilet paper roll holder. Huge dressing room area. Not too much in a short distance of easy drive but offer a list of shopping and restaurants
- Emilee (10/5): - Great stay
- Hitomi (8/5): Good location and friendly staff - Clean, space, location The highway view & noise
- Patricia (6/5): - One elevator was out of order. The dining area had dirty tables during the breakfast rush.
- Karen (8/5): Nice - Clean
- Angie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (8/5): Nice facility, but be aware of pot - Have the overall hotel experience was great! Wonderful breakfast and kind staff. The only thing that I did not like is that in the evening, there was a stench of pot in the hallway. This is a non-smoking facility, but I believe that someone in the building was smoking Pot. Not only is the safety risk, but the stench was awful!
- Jaynie (10/5): Best All Around Hotel I have stayed in…Ever! - This hotel is one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff was also the friendliest staff I have ever experienced at a hotel. They made extra efforts to great all of their guests every time someone walked through the door. They were very helpful and accommodating and they all seemed to enjoy their jobs. I have now stayed here twice and this is the hotel I will continue to return to when I’m in Austin, TX!
- Nina (10/5): - Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was large with a comfortable bed. The continental breakfast was very good, with a good selection. We will definitely stay again when we are in Austin.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great staff. Comfortable, spacious rooms.
- Jaynie (10/5): Super friendly staff and VERY CLEAN hotel! - I was so impressed with the friendly, attentive, and professional staff. They acknowledge and greet you every time you walk in or out of the building. The hotel and our room was one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in. The room was modern, bright, and very spacious with a full kitchen. I really felt like I would be comfortable staying there for a much longer trip if I ever needed to. I plan on this being the hotel I stay at every time I come to visit my family in Austin. Thank you!
- julie (10/5): - Loved the spacious rooms, friendly staff, and beautiful view from breakfast / lobby area. I was pleasantly surprised there was a kitchenette, desk area, extra seating, and dressing area. The location works well for us. We travel to Austin several times a year and this will be our new go-to hotel.
- Stephen (10/5): Clean and friendly - In town for a family event. I always stay at this hotel because it’s close to my mom and the hotel is always clean with a friendly staff
- Brenda (9/5): It was a good choice for us - Everything was as expected. The location felt safe. The sofa bed was very comfortable. The plug in the bath didn't work. I only told them as we were leaving, so it's my fault I didn't give them a chance to fix it for me
- Diana (9/5): Superb -
- Juan (10/5): - Friendly staff, quality rooms
- J.B. (10/5): - Very nice staff - big, clean room. Would definitely stay again.
- Dori (8/5): - The breakfast selections were not as good as in years past. My family and I have stayed here the last 3 years and the quality of the breakfast has gone downhill since last year.
- Eva (8/5): - The property was clean and friendly. A slight maintainance issue but, taken care of. I liked the fitness area
- Jeff (8/5): Very good -
- JoAnn (10/5): Visiting Austin - The staff was very friendly whether it was saying “good morning” or welcoming us back. The morning breakfasts were very nice. The washer/dryer was very helpful when on a nine day trip. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
- Anthony (10/5): - Spacious rooms
- Amanda (10/5): - Staff were beyond accommodating. Facility was beautiful.
- HP893 (6/5): Expensive for what it offers - Pretty average place. Relatively new, clean but not much else going for it.
I would have given it four star at a lower price. For the price, you can stay in a much better place. Not much around here either. They don’t even give water bottles, even to Bonvoy Gold Members. Probably not staying here again.
- Christina (10/5): - Comfortable spacious room, friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, beautiful pool area.
- William (10/5): - The hotel was clean, bed was comfortable, room was quiet, but the standout experience here was the front desk staff. Grace was extremely accommodating to myself and my guests, her friendly attitude and professional demeanor sets the standard for what hotel staff should be.
- 985meganf (10/5): Quiet and pleasant - This hotel was perfect for a work trip. About 15 minutes from the airport. The front desk staff were very friendly. I had zero issues with my room, and it was pretty quiet for a hotel. I didn't use any of the facilities (pool, gym, or laundry), but i saw all three, and they all looked nice. I would definitely stay here again.
- Vy (8/5): - Nice rooms, there was a smoke spell when we checked in at night but it was gone in the morning . Billing issues were resolved by friendly staff
- Sarah (8/5): - Nice extended stay hotel in a good location. The room was mostly fine, except for a few issues like a slightly wobbly toilet, noisy people upstairs, and a very bad smell at 4 a.m. The staff were fantastic and very helpful, though, and the pool and gym area were great!
- Hal (8/5): We had a good one night stay! - Great location. Nice grounds. Comfy beds. Dog smell in the halls
- Shepherd (9/5): Superb -
- Nicole (10/5): - Hotel was beautiful and clean, staff was sweet and welcoming, and the free breakfast every morning was great.
- Joe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steven (10/5): - Loved it! Very nice hotel.
- Tesla (10/5): - The pool was a highlight! We stayed here for 2 nights prior to our wedding. The staff was helpful, breakfast was good, and rooms were spacious. They let us practice rather-daughter dance and first dance in the conference room. Great stay. Not walkable but very safe and close to the hill country and Barton springs
- Zian (10/5): - Absolutely lovely interior - very spacious. Great pool area and breakfast is hearty. Close to Whole Foods and Costco so if you ever fancy making your own food - you can just pop by them 8 mins away
- Likes2travel_14 (10/5): Beautiful grounds, exceptional staff - Fabulous! Customer service was beyond expectation. Infinity pool with an amazing fenced park area. I had my son who was recovering from surgery and two labs. Staff was extremely kind, professional. Rooms were beautifully appointed. We chose a kitchen suite and it did not disappoint. STAY HERE. You will relax and renew your spirit and soul. Everyone was top notch. Incredibly clean. STAY HERE
- Noriyuki (10/5): - This property is very pet friendly.
- Cara (10/5): Wonderful Stay - Staff was SO friendly. And they were so helpful. There was a beautiful pool and a full kitchen. My family of 5 had plenty of space in our suite.
- Melinda (10/5): This was a great place to meet our son and chill! - The staff was very friendly, the room was clean. We also used the laundry facilities and they were great and clean as well. There was plenty of parking and it was free. Its close enough to Austin that you can go out and enjoy the restaurants and many things to do around the area. We enjoyed our stay and would say there was not a negative.
- George (10/5): Austin Wedding - The property is clean and the staff was extra friendly. The room was very quiet and the breakfast was excellent. There are no amenities within walking distance. The location is kind of secluded off a service road.
- Kim (10/5): Exceptional - Conveniently located easy to get downtown and hill country.
- George (10/5): Austin Wedding - Hotel staff were all very friendly. The breakfast was very good. Our room was quiet and comfortable. The hotel sits privately off of a service road and nearby amenities are lacking.
- Uvaldo (10/5): - Excellent
- Juan (9/5): Superb -
- Anna (10/5): - We loved staying here! It was so clean and smelled wonderful. They had the nicest, most friendly staff.
- Nelly (10/5): - Nice hotel for what I was looking for!
- G9218ZCadamw (10/5): Fantastic hotel! - Gorgeous room and very spacious. Everything from the breakfast to the soft and comfy beds were fantastic. Would definitely stay here when in Austin. Nice parking lot. Shower had good pressure. The staff were very friendly and helpful at check-in.
- Daisy (8/5): Very good - Staff was friendly, and very accommodating. Nice patio and pool area with beautiful natural landscape in background The breakfast lacked a few things. No brown suger for oatmeal, no cut fresh fruit and scrambled eggs lacked flavor.
