Guest Reviews
- Guest (7/5): good value for money - Price.
- Karan (5/5): - It was close to I 40 but not right on it. The woman was nice. Not much English. Man was rude and crabby cuz I woke them up. I think the walls and baseboards could be cleaner.
- Harvey (8/5): Satisfied - Convience to access and surround businesses.
- Sarah (7/5): Great place, awful staff (owner I assume). - The room had been modernised, so much so that one bedside lamp still had the wrapping on! The location was perfect for us to travel Route 66. The staff! Stupidly rude! When I went to check my bank before paying he turned to me and said "GIVE CARD", i replied with I just need to check something and he went nuts at me, so much so, I told him not to talk to me like that.
The pillows were horrible too.
- Carl (8/5): -
- Sarah (6/5): Affordable, clean, low-frills overnight - Location is convenient off of Rt 66. Burger restaurant walkable on same side of highway was convenient. Room was clean enough. I appreciate the low cost and it did the job for a quick overnight. Room was dated and bed linens were thin. They could really lean into the kitch and classic Rt.66 Motel and make something of this property!
- Hollaway (8/5): - Didn't have any
- McElhiney (10/5): - Friendly owners they keep it up nice
- Charlotte (5/5): - No comment Hair on floor in bathroom. Tub dirty, no Kleene
- Katherine (9/5): - Very clean and comfortable. Will be staying here again.
- Danette (8/5): Great deal for the mone - No kleenex and no spare roll of toilet paper
- Eclectic (10/5): -

- Williams (8/5): -
- Bradley (8/5): We would stay at this classic Route 66 hotel again! - The staff was very friendly and we liked parking close to our room. Although dated, the room was very clean and comfortable.
- Jeffrey (7/5): No frills and a bit run-down, but clean and fairly priced for what it is. -
- Michele (7/5): It was reasonably priced, clean, and easy parking....no frills. - Very clean Front desk person didn't engage us real well.
- Sam (6/5): -
- Brett (7/5): -
- Natasha (9/5): - great staff n/a
- Kevin (1/5): - The location was great because it was on old route 66, but unfortunately the room was filthy dirty. In need of fresh paint, extreme deep cleaning and minor what he repairs. Everything except the location.
- Rob (8/5): Mixed feelings. - Nice couple, though they insisted we keep our dog outside the office and not let her on the bed in the motel even with us paying their pet fee. They claim they have truck parking, but there was no way my 26’ Penske with car hauler would fit. DO NOT try to access it via SK Donut next door. You will get falsely accused for property damage. If you are driving a Penske, I would either park somewhere else or find another place to stay overnight. If you park across the street from the motel, it’s nerve-wracking crossing.
- Brett (7/5): -
- Powell (10/5): Good value , comfortable stay - Very fast check in and very friendly staff Everything was fine
- Laura (6/5): - We got there so late. We had to wake up the poor lady to get in. We liked a bed. It wasn't that bad.
- Farris (9/5): -
- Grizzard (10/5): Personal attention, wonderful customer service, nice rooms. Great place for an overnight stop! - Great for families. Great location, friendly staff, comfy rooms, VERY reasonable rates and VERY generous cancellation policy when you talk to staff in person. Family-owned, clean, flexible, accommodating.
- Nicholas (10/5): -
- George (8/5): - Nice staff, good off-highway location, nicely updated A little heavier blanket would be nice
- Maricela (10/5): -
- Sviatlana (8/5): - Nice and clean hotel lack of shampoo and soap.
- Prisiyana (6/5): - The room smelled like mold.
- Darrin (5/5): -
- Kalle Mais (8/5): Comfortable room with a reasonable price - Good stop in Elk City if exploring route 66. Walking distance to Braums and Carl Jr. A bit outdated
- christian (10/5): - Simple no nonsense establishment on the famous Route 66 close to a breakfast place. Very pleasant!
- Dennis (8/5): - Perfect for a one night stay
- David (9/5): -
- Sloan (8/5): Great value, SUPER CLEAN AND QUIET! - This property had the highest rating on 3 sites for this area. Its an older motel but its extremely clean! Just the basics but great value and its clean!!! The manager or owner was very nice!! The only thing I didn't like was the soap and shampoo. Lol bring your own.
- Jonathan (10/5): Vintage as Route 66... - ...which is some of the charm! It's old, it's musky, it's basic, and that suited me fine as a spartan solo traveler.
I didn't think to ask for the wifi password at check-in, but soon after, I opened the desk drawer and found a post-it note. I don't know if that's in every room, but it worked for me!
- Peter (1/5): - WE GOT BED BUGS! THE BITES WERE SO BAD, RED AND ITCHY FOR TWO WEEKS. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE STAY IN THIS PLACE! THIS INCIDENT TURNED OUR TRIP INTO A NIGHTMARE!
- Mark (10/5): - Very clean! The beds were very comfortable. For the price you cant go wrong. Will stay again
- James (6/5): - The air conditioner was noisy and so was the refrigerator. The shower only had hot water... which is better than the alternative.
The owner did as much as he could to make us comfortable.
- Gary (4/5): -
- Victoria (8/5): - Clean room, comfortable bed, great price. I would stay again.
- David (5/5): Nice place to stay but... - The location is good and the room was clean. The sad part is that the folks operating the property don't understand the value of friendly service. This place is on historic Route 66. People expect a better experience than some grumpy desk clerk. They want to see things that relate to the Mother Road. There's a heritage that should be shared. People come from all over the world to travel 66 and they should be treated well. A poor greeting when I walked into the office. I felt like I was imposing on the clerk.
- Saldivar (1/5): - Nothing. Not queen size beds. More like full size and very dirty. No soap Nothing. Not queen size beds. More like full size and very dirty. No soap
- Francesca (10/5): - If you plucked a Route 66 Motel off the set of a classic western it would look a lot like this place
- Randene (9/5): Great - Newly updated? Very clean
- Ernesto (6/5): - We were doing a Route 66 family trip, so we loved the Flamingo Inn. It is right on Route 66. The staff was super friendly and helpful and even suggested on where to go and enjoy the evening.
Please keep in mind this is 67-year-old hotel. It is well maintained, it is clean, and it is reasonably priced. We loved staying in a true Route 66 era hotel and would stay there again should we go back.
- Sabrina (6/5): -
- Micharl (1/5): Not ever again - It was comfortable. But when I made the reservation I noted that I had an ESA. They were unaware and charged me $20 for the animal. Additionally, there was NO SOAP! And the towels looked and felt like they were on their last tour.
- Kevin (8/5): -
- Buteau (7/5): Decent for price - Being able to park right in front of my room. The bed was decently comfortable. The room smelled a tiny bit like urine, I don't know if it was coming from the bathroom or the carpet, but it could use a really deep clean. The AC worked well but was quite loud. Overall for the price it was okay.
- Charles (4/5): - Room was dirty and in need of repair
- William (4/5): - Location was convenient. Cheap price. Service was okay but room had beg bugs. We all woke up with bite marks, itchy and I saw one crawling. Left as early as we could.
- Jenny (1/5): Run far far away - We found a pair of female panties when we pulled the chair out to sit at the table. When the owner came to take care of it, he was more worried about turning on the fan... and we figured out that he did this because the AC didn't work. We pulled out the other furniture in the room n they all had garbage behind every one of them.
I would suggest you don't stay here.
- Traveller (5/5): The rooms were decent, but cockroaches were found in the bed. Not coming back. - Clean rooms Staff was not very friendly, cockroaches found in the bed
- Paul (8/5): - Our room and bathroom at Flamingo were clean and satisfactory. It’s basic accommodation at a rock bottom price: comfortable bed, big screen TV, refrigerator, microwave, coffee station at the sink, secure WiFi of which the owner claims he’s not had any complaints in the 18 years he’s owned the place. The location is not scenic, but it feels safe enough. Braum’s Ice Cream & Dairy is a local fast food institution and just a short walk away, open till 10:45 pm. Mint chocolate chip ice cream was good according to my wife.

- Rojas (7/5): - Rooms not to bad The management is super rude
- Tommylee (2/5): - Nothing Area felt unsafe did not stay left within 10 mins of arriving there was a second door in room with screw holding shut needs updating room had a smell.
- Lucinda (8/5): - Everything was satisfactory. The room was clean. Personnel was very nice. It is what I expected it to be for the money spent.
- Alfred (8/5): - Price was great and property was clean and cold AC
- Frances (10/5): Excellent Value - Everything. Great Value. Newly Renovated. It will be our go to stay
- Gary (10/5): - Great place to stay if you're traveling with a pet.
- Jean (10/5): Old School RT 66 Vibe - Some reviews didn’t like that this is an older property so everything is not sparkly and new. The room was clean, had a nice frig, microwave, hair dryer, iron. Newer sink, counter, tub, toilet. I liked the vintage style like I used to stay in with my parents as a kid. The proprietor was nice, friendly, helpful.
- Dick (10/5): - Good value...basic but adequate.
- Chuck (9/5): Best value and cleanest facility I've stayed at in a long time. I'll be a regular guest. -
- Shana (10/5): - Lovely clean historical hotel for a good price. 🙂
- Verified traveler (8/5): S - Just a stop for the night. We enjoy staying at retro type hotels. Comfortable bed, the room was clean, big TV, cable, Internet works great. The gentleman at the office was pleasant.
It is an older hotel and our room had cracked walls that showed the repairs. We didn't mind, but I think it is priced appropriately.
- Pauline (10/5): Amazing amazing amazing! 100% will visit again and recommend. - #1 we enjoyed Dan the host. He was so helpful and available literally 24/7! He was pleasant and great to talk to. It was EXTREMELY clean and so convenient with parking at your door. All amenities you need for a quick stop. Thank you and we will be back and recommend! Nothing at all.
- Stacey (8/5): Great place to stay. - Location was great. Room was comfortable.
- Deena (10/5): - Will come back to here.
- Kim (8/5): - The room is clean and the AC works good.
- Hampton (4/5): Disappointing - Not much Cover on bed smelled, room smelled. Did not feel safe at this location…owner was difficult to understand and he was getting frustrated with me as I kept asking him to repeat himself
- Gary (9/5): Pleasantly surprised. - It was a fair price. Everything worked. The AC, refrigerator, shower, bed. Good value for the money.
- Tonya (8/5): - It was okay. We just needed to sleep for a few hours to continue our 30 hr drive.
It was clean just smelled old and I hope the sheets were just stained and not dirty.! I laid my own blanket on top of the sheets.
- Clayton (2/5): DO NOT STAY! - Decided on this room due to needing a stay for a baseball tournament reviews were good but think they are made up by ownership. Check in staff was rude saying we didn’t book it right added $10 for kids. When we got to our room there were people outside smoking. The room was over 90 degrees because AC was off. Then people started knocking on door. Kids were scared so we left tried to see if we could get a refund as we never stayed in the room. We were told no and were very rude. Really just stealing money from a family.
- Remy (10/5): - Nice retro hotel, we enjoyed our stay. Great value for the price.
- Sheldon (10/5): - Older motel but good location and price. I would stay here again.
- Patrick (8/5): Very good -
- Randy (10/5): Very good. Highly recommended. Stay here instead of a chain motel. - We were looking for a place to stay off rt 66 in Elk City. The Flamingo Inn is one of the original motels from back in the day. Very clean, and comfortable. Will definitely stop back again. Bonus was the rt 66 museum! Highly recommended. Web site, reserve room from an actual web site. Have t shirts, magnets, key chains etc of the motel like other places do off rt 66.
- Michael (10/5): - Clean, quiet rooms, owner was very friendly. It was part of Rt 66 history
- Patty (4/5): - My granddaughter has huge bite whelps all over her body
- Bronwyn (10/5): - Very clean small motel that is well cared for.
- Cindy (6/5): - Not sure why there are 5 star reviews about this place in 2025. I could not give them a 5 except for a couple of things:
1- super fast, excellent internet and TV
2 - bed was comfortable
The rest not so much - carpet is ick! Property is run down and needs some updates.
Walls in rooms needed painting.
Bathroom was semi updated. An unsightly leak occurred in the bathroom previously so the ceiling had wet damaged Sheetrock.
Place seemed fairly clean but the old outdated furniture was past use date. There was a nice looking recliner and chair in the room but I am unable to sit in furniture with cloth because how do I know who sat before me. I’m kinda picky like that. Obviously the price was very low so I get what I paid for. If they were able to do some updating I think this would be a fun place to stay.
- Charles (4/5): - We were greeted by a surly woman whom we could barely understand. We did make the reservation just a few minutes before arrival but still, the woman seemed very put out that we patronized their hotel. There was not a single thing that justified an 8+ rating on your site. I would have to believe that the ratings were all completed by friends and family and not actual patrons.
- scotty (8/5): - I like the motel. it provides everything i need ,clean property, coffee maker, soap shampoo, ironing board.it is a good motel and rates are reasonable.
- Ronnie (7/5): Good -
- Bronwyn (10/5): - Easy check in and like you can park right outside your room.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Stayed on my way to Arkansas and decided to stay there again on my way back
- Chuck (8/5): Very good - No breakfast available
- jasmine (10/5): - Nice stay
- Roxanna (1/5): Bad -
- Carl (10/5): Five 🌟 service - Owner/Operator family business. We were treated with the kind of service large national hotels envy.
- Joe (8/5): Very good -
- Laura (2/5): Very poor - Location Dingy towels, DIRTY refrigerator that didn't work, about 3/4 roll of toilet paper, 3 tissues in the box, awful smell in the room. The sign said, "renovated rooms" but it seems they missed room 123. Over all, it felt unclean.
- Jeffrey (10/5): I would stay again - Great price nice room quiet area
- John (7/5): The Flamingo Inn was right on US66. Very convenient. -
