• Ulrika (10/5): Beautiful, loved it! - The view, the room was very comfortable and lovely. The staff were very helpful and kind and carried all my heavy bags to and from my room on arrival and departure. Met the owner and he was so nice and friendly as well. They helped me arrange a taxi as well. Comfortable bed! Such a beautiful property surrounded by nature. Loved that it was close to Sairee but far enough for it to be peaceful and quiet with just sounds of nature. Loved the sound of the geckos, toads and all the insects and birds. I rented a scooter from the nearby little shop to move around. It was great! Loved the big mirrors and hairdryer! Good smelling soaps and big closet to hide my suitcase! The AC could have been slightly colder at night considering the thick comfy duvet. It was set to the coldest setting and never got very cool like hotel ACs usually do. But it was still an ok temperature to sleep comfortably. A more modern smart TV or apple tv or something similar with apps such as netflix or screen sharing would have been great to connect and watch my shows at night. I ended up watching from my laptop since I couldn’t figure out the TV in the room that also wouldn’t turn on, but it was fine. Still 10/10

Der Service des Personals ist auch 1A, rund um die Uhr per What‘s App erreichbar und extrem hilfsbereit. Mit dem Roller gut zu erreichen in knapp 5 Minuten vom Zentrum und dennoch extrem ruhig. Bei einer erneuten Reise nach Koh Tao würde ich diese Unterkunft unbedingt wieder buchen. Nichts.

There are a lot of stairs up to the rooms, so if you have accessibility issues (I do not) it wouldn't be the right place for you.

The suite was perfect for our family, 2 bedrooms with good AC. living and kitchen was sufficient to relax, make drinks etc. The lanai was absolutely perfect with the plung pool! an added bonus in the warm evenings. Yes, there is a significant climb up 60 steps from the entry of the complex to our suite, which was near the top. But we were quite fine to get the exercise. The only item I would suggest is more towels. We were provided with one towel each, which is not sufficient for use on the lanai / plung pool and for washing & showering. Separate towels would be best to provide.

La situation est aussi bien car proche de l'animation tour en étant parfaitement au calme. La réactivité lorsque nous avons eu besoin de qq chose. La navette qui nous attend à notre arrivée au port. Des détails mais qui rendent les choses plus faciles : avoir des serviettes supplémentaires notamment pour les cheveux et une machine à café puisque l'hôtel ne propose pas de petits déjeuners. Le café en poudre est difficile pour des méditerranéens.!!😅 Mais nous avons adoré cet hébergement !

• Nancy (8/5): Amazing views, beautiful apartment - Loved the room, the view, the staff and the cleanliness Didn’t love the location - right at the end of the beach so unless you have a bike or are ready for a hike, it’s not the most convenient location. No restaurant and no breakfast so you have to make your way out regularly. And the steps - oh the steps. You almost dread going back because you know how many steps there are to climb in the heat. It’s a long way up just be ready!

But the best part was the excellent communication and helpfulness from staff especially Pinh. We got a free taxi to our accommodation, had staff take all our bags up the stairs and back down again🤣. The place was gorgeous and spotless it even had menus for delivery and takeout too. Nothing, the hill was kinda steep driving up to it but it’s all part of the experience and the drivers are so amazing and so trusting. I’d reccomend it so much. I’d come back to Thailand just to come back to the plantation

The location could be challenging for those less able. Having a scooter definitely helped us because otherwise the thought of walking back at anytime in the scorching sun was a no go. Large water bottles would have been appreciated. The room also had a strong smell, couldn’t tell if it was weed or drainage.

Also our host and the whole staff were very friendly and helpful! They let us check out a bit later as well as store our luggage for an extra few hours which was very nice. We were expecting all 3 bedrooms to be in the main floor, but one bedroom was separated one floor down. It wasn’t bad, but it would have been nice to know before booking.

The first thing that stands out is the spectacular view – waking up every morning and watching the sunset from our terrace was truly unforgettable. The terrace was the perfect place to relax and soak in the scenery. The apartment itself was spacious, spotless, and very well maintained. Everything felt modern and thoughtfully designed, with comfortable beds, efficient air conditioning, and plenty of space to feel at home. The location was also ideal – tucked away in a peaceful coconut plantation, so you feel surrounded by nature, yet still just a short walk to the beach and town. It’s close enough to the buzz but far enough to enjoy privacy and quiet. Do note that it’s on a hill with some stairs, which might be a bit challenging for some, but the view makes it absolutely worth it. The staff and hosts were outstanding. Friendly, welcoming, and always quick to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality really made our stay even better. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Beautiful views, a clean and comfortable apartment, a peaceful yet central location, and wonderful staff – highly recommended! Nothing

Highly recommended for anyone looking - We had a wonderful stay at this holiday apartment on Koh Tao! 🌴 The location is perfect — set just above Sairee Beach with an amazing view, yet still close enough to everything you need. The apartment itself was very clean, well-equipped, and had everything necessary for a comfortable stay. We especially loved how easy it was to order food delivery, so we didn’t have to walk down to the restaurants if we didn’t feel like it. There’s also a motorbike rental just around the corner, which made exploring the island super convenient.

• Francesco (9/5): Splendido soggiorno - Vista stupenda sulla spiaggia di Sairee. L'appartamento si trova in una zona tranquilla fuori dal caos ma a soli 2 minuti di scooter dalla zona principale. Arroccato su una collina, si devono fare dei gradini un pò ripidi dal piazzale principale, ma a noi non ha dato nessun problema (la vista ripaga di tutto). L'interno dell'appartamento è spazioso, arredato con cura e dotato di tutti i confort. Le cose degne di nota sono il cambio degli asciugamani e la sistemazione della stanza ogni giorno. Inoltre la proprietaria è molto precisa, efficiente ed estramemente gentile. Ha risposto sempre in maniera positiva alle nostre richieste (cambio cuscini e lenzuola, richiesta taxi) preoccupandosi di farci stare il meglio possibile. Lo abbiamo apprezzato tanto. Ottimo il servizio navetta dal porto incluso nel prezzo (solo andata). E' possibile ordinare la colazione dalla camera presso bar esterni dai menu presenti in camera (ne abbiamo usufruito due volte e sono stati velocissimi e senza sovrapprezzo). Ci tornerei senza dubbio. Forse l'appartamento avrebbe bisogno di una ritinteggiata. Per il resto niente...

From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly—meeting us at the pier and even carrying our bags up to the apartment. The view from the balcony was absolutely breathtaking. It was the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. Daily cleaning was top-notch, with fresh towels provided and even dishes washed. The location is ideal: just a short 10-minute walk into Sairee, with a slight hill that’s very manageable. Overall, we had an amazing time and would definitely recommend The Plantation to anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic, and well-run base in Koh Tao.

Owner text to check we were ok and we had their number if needed. Wasn’t aware there’s no reception. We were met from taxi (complimentary) and bag taken to room for us. Be aware the property has many very steep steps! We are fit and it was still hard. It’s also up a rather dark lane away from main road. Only 5 mins to main rd and 5 mins down through another hotel to beach. Shower- sometimes no water, sometimes freezing and other times boiling hot. We got by but it wasn’t the best.

• Lorraine (10/5): Amazing is an understatement! - What a fantastic villa! We stayed for six nights and it was a highlight of our trip to Thailand. Pick up from the pier was arranged by the owners and on arrival we had assistance with bags and check in which was quick and easy. The online photos of the villa do not do this place justice. Set in an old coconut plantation, it was clean, tidy, and modern with a million dollar view. The villa is up high overlooking Sairee Beach and west facing so we experienced beautiful sunsets each night. Villa was very private and quiet. It was centrally located - about a 10 minute walk into town - giving access to beach, shops, cafes and restaurants. Highly recommend and we would definitely stay here again if visiting Koh Tao. Everything was fantastic - couldn’t fault it!

Very basic in terms of furnishings and equipment which were generally poor quality. Accommodation in need of an upgrade. Outdoor Cushions were dirty to the point we placed towels on them when sat outside. The place felt in need of a good thorough clean. Pool and view was nice but very disappointed with our stay.

• Tharnthip (10/5): Easy Stay, Hard to Beat - When we opened the door to the balcony, we knew we had made the right choice- sweeping ocean view through thr palm treetops, peaceful ocean breeze, privacy... The Plantation Koh Tao was within our budget and we could not have been happier with our stay. Huge genuine smile upon BOTH reception AND checkout, cozy and sparkling clean room, super convenient location. The only trouble is you won't want to leave your room, ironically it was one of the best destinations and views we found on the island without even having to explore it, through from here you certainly can! Steep walk for anyone for mobility issues.

Sofa area and TV inside was very comfortable. Outside the plunge pool with amazing views over Sairee Beach are breathtaking and the shaded area was so relaxing. The best property we stayed in on our trip by far. Location is excellent within walking distance of Sairee but away from the noise. It is very peaceful. Very steep hill, but worth it for the view and we knew that before we booked. Just get a bike or taxi up from the town if you struggle with hills/steps.

The studio itself was spacious and had very good light. The stairs that take you to the property are difficult however they definitely get better after a few days and the view makes them worth it. Bed was comfortable. Apartment was cleaned well every day. How was very nice! Would recommend the plantation in a heartbeat N/a

The apartment is very stylish and spacious with a large comfortable seating area and breathtaking views. The bed is by far the most comfortable bed in Koh Tao and the aircon and fan keep the space perfectly cool. We rented a scooter but you can easily walk if you don’t want to ride the scooter. Hard to find anything wrong with this place but if I had to say one thing, the chairs on the balcony are not so comfortable. But, we didn’t really use them anyway. Stay here if you can, you will not regret it.

• Dan (9/5): Beautiful villa with ocean views on Koh Tao - Great view, very much a luxury villa experience in Koh Tao. Watching sunsets form the pool and terrace was great. Property is meticulously maintained, you won't be disappointed! Included taxi from the ferry is also a great touch, you don't have to worry about explaining to anyone how to find it. Menus with food delivery options are right there when you arrive, so very easy to order in if you just made a big trip. Very easy to order taxis, rent a motorbike, etc., as well! The location is great for the view, but it's also pretty uphill - we decided to rent a scooter almost immediately. It's possible go to/from the center and walking street by foot, but I probably wouldn't want to do it midday! The living room area could use an extra A/C, it gets a bit with the afternoon sun, but you're usually at the beach or in the pool anyway!

Taxi was provided on arrival. Clean towels and water replenished every day. Cannot fault this property. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone with mobility issues as there are some stairs to climb, but this is expected to get such a fantastic view!!

I've never had a view so stunning before, and I never got sick of looking out over the coconut plantation and watching the birds and butterflies. The room was spotless and the ceiling fans were powerful enough not to need the AC. The team were super responsive and courteous via WhatsApp. As this property is set back from the beach in a quiet area, it feels really peaceful. As per the other reviews, the path and stairs are very steep, but I enjoyed the walk to and from the property to the beach/town which only took a few minutes. If you're reasonably fit with no mobility issues, it really shouldn't be a problem.

• Nasra (9/5): Beautiful views and comfortable stay - Loved this property, it was a last minute booking but so glad I managed to find it. There was a gorgeous balcony view of the island, the bed was comfortable and the room was lovely and spacious. There was a smart screen TV and living room/ kitchen area. The staff communicated really well and organised transport for us from the pier. We would have extended our stay at the property had there been availability so I would definitely come back should I return to Koh Tao. The walk up to the property is difficult, there are lot of steps and it would definitely not be ideal for people with mobility issues. For me it was worth it for the view from the apartment but you would need to consider this if booking. There was staff to carry your suitcases however, which was nice. It can also be a little difficult to find which is your door as it is very dark at night and no signs we could see to direct us so we did get lost a few times.

The only slight thing I would say when staying in the studio apartments is no pool access however the beach is about 1 minute drive and it’s beautiful sand clear water

We enjoyed escaping here in the evenings for stillness and waking to the morning beach views. It is located up a hill but only a few minutes walk and a good heart rate riser! Slightly further from main strip, but good if that's what you are after!

• Adelina (10/5): Excellent - The view is the most memorable thing at The Plantation and definitely exceeded our expectations! The room was very clean and spacious. The double bed was large and comfortable! Food takeaway options were made available. The only downside is the location which is quite isolated from the centre. However, we knew this prior to booking. If you rent a motorbike - no problem, but we were taking a walk each day via the beach to reach the main part at night.

• David (6/5): Not worthy for the price. There’s a bunch of good options with views that I’m sure can replace it - Incredible views. Location is good too if you have a scooter. They have some options to order food and deliver directly to the apartment, which is nice. WiFi did not work at the beginning, it took one day for them to come and fix it. Pretty poor turnaround for a 2-day stay. When I told this to the host, always being polite, her answer was “please cancel the booking”. I paid $250 for this stay and the very least is that the Internet is working. She was very responsive though. There was no coffee machine or even some oil to cook, which again it is not required but kind of something nice to have for this pricey stay.

You also can’t hear any noise from the parties! Great for a bigger group to be split across the apartments! All was well maintained and to a high standard, the staff were so helpful with any requests or questions. Beds are comfy and all facilities great, the gardens are well maintained Requires a small uphill walk- no problem for our party but something to consider if you are less mobile
