Guest Reviews
- Vincent (5/5): - À côté de la plage Pas super propre
- Stephen (1/5): Atrocious - Locality to the seafront The reception staff , very rude asking another thirty pounds for the room key . This is not a hotel it’s only beds with no hotel food , service or facilities . I’m awaiting my refund
- Ruth (3/5): -
- Oliver (10/5): -
- Laye (1/5): Worst hotel stay in ever had - Close to town and facilities So floor was broken and unsafe bathroom had mushrooms grown out the wall and bed i could not sleep in properly due to looks like piss stains on the bed
- Md Saidur (8/5): -
- Beeke (1/5): Horrible, dirty, scary. - Location was decent There was a mushroom growing out the wall sheets were dirty the room was right next to the front door and check in
- Calum (5/5): Great location, cheaper than others around but facilities lacking (no working shower). - Price wise versus other hotels in area is good, location is excellent l. Shower was essentially cold water or boiling hot water, no hot water in tap at points throughout stay, water pressure in tap very weak.
- Andres (8/5): -
- Brianna (5/5): -
- Michael (5/5): - Room was clean Being greeted by 100 flies at the hotel entrance
- Gabbidon (3/5): - My room was clean My room was on the ground floor next to recpetion and it was noisy with guests coming in and out. I did not sleep well. I was advised the staff give me a bigger bed room and I could ot change another room.
- Omer (10/5): -
- Madison (8/5): Great - I don’t understand why there were so many bad reviews! The location was ideal, everything was clean, the staff were great and it had everything we needed! Wasn’t too noisy either. The parking situation wasn’t great but that’s all!
- Daniel (8/5): -
- Andrew (10/5): Good - Good Good
- Ricky (9/5): Ideal - Comfy bed, located right by seafront. Friendly staff Shower riser wouldn't stay up at desired height
- Misra (2/5): Not the best, don’t recommend - Staff is very nice and good customer service. Really unclean, I left one day before hand cause I couldn’t take it anymore.
- Perera (8/5): - It was a great location where face to beutifull beach .I booked for small double room and one of receptionist offered me a double bedroom and I wanted to check out after 11'o clock so, he offered me another extra one hour till 12'o clock to check out .
- chantelle (3/5): -
- Montana (7/5): -
- Johnathan (10/5): -
- Danah (1/5): -
- Emma (1/5): Never again - N/A The floor boards where lose, hair around the sink and shower, dust and dirt found a fag butt in one of the draws, cold room, room was next to the reception so I coukd hear everything such as stuff talking and there phones on loud, staff orded take out and got in to a disagreement on the phone with the delivery person which I could hear so couldn't go sleep with all the noise
- CoiledSpring (2/5): Absolutely GRIM!!! - We booked 2 rooms to attend the Brighton Marathon.
We had a triple room and I had a room with a double bed, number 7.
Thank goodness it was just for me as there wasn't room to swing a cat.
My first impression was that it was quite quaint but on closer inspection I realised that it was pretty grim.
There wasn't anywhere to put anything, no storage, no hooks on the doors for coats etc.
Nothing, except the floor.
There was no hairdryer, the tv reception was rubbish and the remote didn't work properly so watching that wasn't an option and the room became colder and colder as the night wore on probably because the window banged all night with the wind and the filthy blind was continuously swinging.
The bathroom was exceptionally small and, unfortunately, dirty.
Again, there wasn't anywhere to put any toiletries and the taps were disgusting and the grout in the shower was horrible, as was the shower tray.
It was not a nice room to freshen up in.
There was a fully stocked tea/coffee tray with a kettle that was surprisingly clean. Unfortunately I couldn't bring myself to use any of it.
Free Wifi was also available.
The saving grace was the immaculately clean white bed linen and towels. Unfortunately there wasn't a duvet or a blanket on the bed just a thin coverlet that wasn't particularly warm so I ended up wearing a jumper in bed that I'd bought with me.
I would definately NOT recommend staying in this hotel as it was pretty grim and dirty.
As well as being updated, room number 7 needs a deep clean.
If we weren't only staying for one night I would have left very soon after arriving.
- Nai (1/5): Not a place for children, its quite frankly a drug house - Nothing. It was a dangerous crack house The safety of guests, filthy, dangerous.
Do not take children
- Mustafa (10/5): Nice and comfort ? - Survives and locations
- Giedre (5/5): -
- Jose ramon (9/5): -
- Wali (6/5): Good -
- Dali (9/5): It was great I’m planning a trip there again soon - The location is so close to the water front and the pier 👍🏼 There where friendly and respectful
- Mehran (10/5): -
- Ian (5/5): - Across the road from the sea Said there was parking
No parking had to pay additional £20 for a voucher and spend over an hour looking for a space
Would not have booked if this was the case
- Andrew (1/5): -
- Kiddle (1/5): -
- Maria Vanesa (10/5): Comfortable room and very friendly staff - Had a really pleasant stay. The room was quiet and comfortable, and the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. Would happily come back. I like everything.
- kevin (4/5): The willows - Location. Windows drafts and not clean,, check in from 14.00pm room was not ready till 15.15pm,dirty mug only 1milk carton ,water stains on ceiling,
- Rachel (4/5): Glad it was so cheap - This hotel is incredibly close to the beach & local shops/restaurants. The staff were lovely & very helpful There were stains on the bed sheets & duvet. The floor of the shower was dirty & stained. There was a terrible smell coming from the plug hole whenever there was water running. Sink or shower. The hotel also consistently smelled of cigarettes
- Dantoni (10/5): -
- Demi (2/5): Wasn’t impressed, didn’t sleep well, wasn’t clean, very noisy - The location Wasn’t clean
Floor boards all broke
Bedding had burn marks
Taps were leaking
Poor all round
was right near reception so was very very noisy!
- Amy (6/5): Fair but not the best - The hotel was quite basic which we were looking for as we were only staying the night but it was still slightly overpriced for what we got. The shower was warm. The room was freezing, we had to ask the person at reception to put our radiator on. It didn't heat up for about an hour and so we had to have a small heater to supplement it.
Our welcome when we checked in wasn't the best, the man was quite abrupt with us, and I had already asked if we could leave our bags in a hold the next day as we were running the half marathon and this was agreed in writing however the man at reception had a problem with this and said we'd need to pay extra, he told us no you can't leave the bags, how big are the bags, asking us quite accusatorily who said that to us etc. Not great service.
The shower was clean enough but the tiles were filthy, stained.
We were put in the first room and so we could hear all the noises from reception and people walking in and out of the front door
- scottmU1627IE (2/5): Do not stay here - Wow….what an awful place !! The hotel is greatly located but I would have rather stayed under the pier. The rooms are just disgusting and dirty. I wouldn’t put my dog in there
- Trevor (2/5): Avoid - Close to the pier Scruffy, towels terrible, shower terrible bathroom terrible, wouldn't recommend
- Robyn (1/5): The saying is true you get what you pay for last minute trip for us would never stay here again. We should’ve known bett - Location Damp
Unclean
Dirty mattress
Mould on ceiling
Mould on shower
Poor fitting curtains
Poor fitting windows
Dust
Lots of marks & stains
- Charlie (1/5): Hell. - Leaving. The staff, the room, all of it. Staff was rude, place was poorly kept and we were only there for one night. It got the job done for a quick stay but we couldn’t wait to leave. The guy at the desk took my card details and cvc number as well…. I don’t know how much of the card he needed but I didn’t want to argue as our car was locked up and we couldn’t leave Brighton until the morning. He Snatched the card out of my hand when I was going to write it down. I tried to avoid putting my details because I didn’t trust the place. Rude man, awful rooms. They don’t care otherwise they would fix all the stuff everyone say about the place. It gets the job done for a quick one night stay but it felt gross and we wanted to leave quickly. I would only come here if corse brining a lady of the night, but I wasn’t…. Don’t come here for that either, go to the beach, it’s better and more comfortable and maybe more clean
- Sophie (7/5): - Amazing views right on the sea front
- Ella (5/5): i booked day of, it’s very good for the money however the room clearly hadn’t been cleaned and it stunk of cigarettes - literally on top of the seafront very unclean
- Leila (1/5): -
- Liliya (5/5): -
- Nitish (1/5): Worst - Unsatisfied with staff Roo.
- Andy (1/5): -
- Luke (3/5): Cheap hotel in a good location but needs updating, not clean and too noisy. Will not stay again - Good location, 2pm check in Room was not clean at all, dated and falling apart. Very noisy, can hear traffic and people stomping up and down the stairs and all hours. Bring ear plugs!
- Lynn (7/5): I was very concerned as only read the reviews after I booked the room.I was pleasantly surprise though, as the room was - Room was clean, obviously recently decorated. Thin walls, noisy doors slamming.
- Kateřina (1/5): - It was near the sea and the centre There was only one window in the ceiling that had to be closed because of the rain. A very small room for three people
- Chloe (7/5): - Location was good and we had a decent room <3 Staff were very accommodating too! We had checked out around 11am the next day but wanted to explore Brighton for a bit more. One of their lovely staff members allowed us to keep our car parked there until around 2pm, a good while after checkout time, so we could do this without having to find parking elsewhere! :) So very kind!
- Michael (1/5): Absolutely shocking - Nothing Everything
- amber (9/5): great, comfortable - the room was a decent size and the beds were very comfortable! the hotel is in a great location right on the seafront with lots of bars and pubs around. it’s close to revenge and the other clubs on the seafront. the room was slightly dusty and the cleanliness wasn’t excellent but it also wasn’t bad. it just could have been cleaner.
- Robert (1/5): -
- Sarah (1/5): Avoid - Avoid this scam have tons of photos shocking place no sea view made us sick mould and dirt everywhere not clean at all? Nothing we had to book somewhere else and leave mould everywhere and dirt got videos of it all
- vika (7/5): -
- Sarah (5/5): Great but showers were horrendous - The room was very comfortable. Not an issue for us but lots of stairs, not suitable for those with mobility issues. Shower was horrendous. Either freezing cold or boiling hot with no way to balance it out.
- Laura (6/5): Not what was expected as photos didn't really match the room. - The location was right on the beach and the Dome so perfect for why we were there. Room was so small there was hardly room to move.
Couldn't have the window and blind open in the morning because there was a man on the scaffolding right outside our window.
Wall paint was coming off.
The door was really squeaky to the bathroom and the shower was so small I'm 5'10 so had to bend my knees to fit in.
- Grace (7/5): Great value for money - Great location, reasonably comfortable, TV in the room, private bathroom. We reserved a parking spot out front for £20 for the night which is great for Brighton. Overall great value for money Floor needs a good mop as walking around our room in our socks left them brown on the bottom, our window also didn't lock but we were on the second floor so not the end of the world. Shower pressure and temperature wasn't great in the morning (assuming that everyone else was using it at the same time) but worked fine late at night
- Shreya (6/5): Decent for a one night stay. - Location is great. The room was smaller than expected and the sheets had a funny smell to them. Other than that, it was a decent place for a one night stay. Staff was helpful.
Parking was a tight squeeze.
- sam (8/5): -
- Elisa (8/5): -
- Ab (3/5): -
- Adam (10/5): -
- John (1/5): Terrible - Location is great. A short walk to main areas in Brighton. What a real shame. This could be a really nice hotel-but it isn't!
Owners either don't have the money or dont want to spend money on the hotel. From the outside the hotel looks like a hostel. The decoration inside the room is poor. The room was quite dusty and the floor wasn't particularly clean. The bathroom was a mess, the toilet roll holder was missing, yhe wc seat didn't fit the pan, the shower curtain was rotten and the tiles in the shower (which we didn't use) had mould. The bed sheet had a bad stain, the picture frame was broken, the roller blinds were frayed and stained. The sash windows were in really bad condition and the sash cords had been cut so the window couldn't be opened. I could go on, but neadless to say I won't be staying here again its terrible!!
- Shannon (7/5): - Close to town, clean and comfortable beds. It was cold in the room and the bathroom light didnt work.
Others guests were very noisy.
- Jade (5/5): - Location Tired building, furniture and could have been a lot cleaner
- Ramzan (1/5): -
- Kayleigh (9/5): Staff very accommodating, had a nice stay. Will be back thank you - Great location, nice view Everything was fine
- Kuruduwatta (1/5): -
- Henrique (6/5): -
- Gemma (3/5): Location not worth the cost given the facilities - The location was great.
Smart TV was appreciated.
Much needed storage under the bed. The room was very very small - I hadn’t perceived the size well from the pictures. No lifts and a tight staircase to take suitcases up/down. The entrance floor is deceptively modern for the rooms.
At the risk of TMI - sat on the toilet knees touch the sink, couldn’t stand straight in the shower with tilted roof and couldn’t put hands above head to wash hair or turn around without hitting the taps!
- Rebecca (1/5): -
- Jon (3/5): - The location on Brighton seafront and close to where we were going. Nobody was there when we arrived to a locked front door with a selection of three different phone numbers. So we rang the first number and a man answered and told us he'd be there to let us in shortly (he was in the building thankfully)
We had to ask where we could park, thinking it was free parking, to be told we could park at the front for an additional £20. When we said we believed it to be free parking when we booked through booking.com, he said he'd let us park for £10. and would upgrade our room to a larger room.
Once in our room we discovered that there was no hot water, the sink tap didn't run at all, and the shower was literally just a cold dribble. I reported this to reception, the same chap who let us in said we could move back to our original room, which he showed me. As this room was tiny with a ¾ size bed I declined. He then asked if he could come and check the water. Having checked he said he would change the pressure for us, which he did. While the pressure was better it was still not good.
Please see attached photographs for cleanliness, over all it was poor. The floor in our room, the corridor, stairs and downstairs hallway all had a Slippery greasy feel. There was dust and rubbish under our bed, mold in the shower base and on the grout and our bed sheet had a rip in it.
I was asked to supply photo id when we checked in so I put my driving licence on the desk for him to see. He then asked me to fill in some paperwork, while I was filling in the paperwork, without me noticing he took and retained my licence.
While we were driving home the following day the chap who'd let us in phoned me and said my driving licence had been found in our room. When I said I hadn't taken it back after showing it as id, he said the cleanres had found it in our room.
I find this rather worrying and suspicious.
I asked if he would post it to me and explained that my address was on it.
- Archie (1/5): -
- Nicola (5/5): -
- Paul (1/5): Don't stay - Lies about payment and blackmail The lord and front desk
- Phillips (1/5): Horrific - Nothing Staff were aggressive! Full of crack heads and dodgy going ons. Bed was wet and full of stains ave my lock was broken so I was unable to get in and the hotel blamed me and have stolen all my luggage. Advertised at £41 but then charged me £57, kept asking to not use Booking.com and pay them directly asking for ID abscess bank details. Just AWFUL. Have had to get solicitor and taking to civil court
- Katalin (10/5): -
- Norman (2/5): -
- Wital (5/5): -
- tiana (7/5): -
- Dhanush (5/5): - Its near Brighton beach
- Mohamed (7/5): -
- Kevin (10/5): Ok cheap - Very close to centre
- Mark (1/5): I felt totally ripped off by being charged £20.00 for 10mins and disappointed - Absolutely nothing. The room was not maintained very well. The door to my room was not secure very well. The handle was loose and I struggled to lock it. I arrived early travelling from the Isle of Wight to see my daughter who is at Uni. The person on reception was not very helpful. I asked if I could leave my bag somewhere? He didn't not answer my question, then said to me that my check in wasn't until 2.00pm but if I want to check in early the charge was £20. An absolute disgusting amount. I arrived at 12.00pm and needed to meet up with my daughter at 12.30pm. I managed to get into the room at 12.20pm so I paid £20 for literally 10 minutes. When I came back to the room in the evening I wasn't impressed with the cleanliness - the bathroom was pokey and dirty with mould on the tiles. The shower was pathetic it had no power, and the toilet seat was loose. I woke up with a insect bite on my back.
- Matthew (5/5): Would not stay there again - Location There was a lot of loud talking from upstairs in the early hours of the morning and was unable to sleep. The bathroom facilities were of very poor quality
- Luke (1/5): Worst night of my life. Would be better off sleeping on the beach. - Location was good and it was a good price. Extremely rude guy on reception. When I checked in I told him my partner will be joining me in a hour. When he got here the receptionist had a go saying I could not have guests over even so I told him at check in my partner was running a bit behind me.
Extremely thin walls I could hear all the guests come and go. I could constantly hear the receptionist shouting to his mate outside.
Sensitive fire alarms I had a shower and sprayed some deodorant which set off the fire alarm to which the receptionist hounded down the door accusing us of smoking in the room.
There was also hairs in the sink so it had obviously not been cleaned well.
- Trail28246512754 (2/5): You may have your booking randomly cancelled the day before - I didn’t even manage to get to the hotel because they cancelled my booking the day before due to “overbooking”. That makes no sense, either you have the room or you don’t. If it wasn’t available then I shouldn’t have been able to book it in the first place, and if it was available then they shouldn’t have given it to someone else if I’d already booked. They were lucky I was visiting friends and managed to find space to stay, imagine I was a tourist who was now stranded in a foreign country because a booking I rightfully made wasn’t honoured. They said a refund would take 2 weeks and only offered £15 compensation for a new hotel room which I didn’t even bother with. Booked through booking.com but they won’t let me write a review there because I didn’t technically stay there even though it was them who cancelled my booking :|
- Omar (1/5): - Too small toilet and shower and no shampoo or other facilities in the shower.
They says parking facilities before booking but when I came to the hotel they told me £20 extra for parking which is stupid. They want to make people fool.
- Goulon (10/5): -
- Faye (5/5): -
- Paradise_production (1/5): Disgusting and disgraceful - Nothing, it was dingy and the staff member at the desk was ever soo disrespectful. At no point on the booking did it say about a £20 late fee! Nor did it say they would take a copy of IDs! Furthermore, the keys barely work on the doors, goodluck spending 10 minutes just trying to turn the keys Nothing, it was dingy and the staff member at the desk was ever soo disrespectful. At no point on the booking did it say about a £20 late fee! Nor did it say they would take a copy of IDs! Furthermore, the keys barely work on the doors, goodluck spending 10 minutes just trying to turn the keys
- Vanda (10/5): Stay was as it should - Was a lasted minute deal Every as it should be I hotel stay quiet a lot and the man on desk delt with my request straight away when I text regarding the u usually situation .
- Chris (9/5): Great stay. I would definitely stay again - Overall it was great. The only niggle is the Lino flooring is noisy when walked on. Location. Price.
