• Kaja (10/5): Comfortable spot to spend a few nights - This was a good budget option that provided what we needed for the three nights we spent in Tambunan. It was clean, quiet, and the staff were helpful. We also really appreciated being able to use the kitchen area to cut up fruit, wash dishes, etc. Nothing (the place is a bit older and it shows - but we weren't expecting a five-star hotel)

• Alvienna (3/5): The management should check the room 707 thoroughly before advertise it. Bare minimum requirement, at least make sure th - Cleanliness. I stay in room 707. Can't watch tv, i think because the plug is broken. There's 2 plug in the room but both not working. When i informed the staff they did not do anything about it. Just giving me a smile and said wait till morning. Not even compensation for the inconvenient. There is no functioning socket on the room, cant charge my phone. Felt very dissapointed. As customer, apa yang kami bayar, itu la ba yang patut kami dapat kann.
• Phil (3/5): Very disappointing - I expect MUCH BETTER at this price! - Location was okay, quiet & well away from traffic. "Cabin" was a nice orange colour. Not much else positive to say about it. This is little more than a glorified campsite. They say there is a cafe - not true (possibly one in peak season - but not in November). No mirror in the bathroom (the only one is on a wardrobe door furthest from the bathroom). Shower is luke-warm at best. The cabin is a converted cargo container - a.k.a. a metal oven. Big gap under the door. Bed okay, but pillows are like rocks. WiFi very unreliable - weak signal that kept going off. POOR VALUE FOR THE MONEY. Not much option in Tambunan - that's how they continue to get away with it.

• James (8/5): - I used this place as a low cost base for birding the Mt Crocker range with my kids. The room was quite basic, but clean and comfortable with AC, TV, kettle etc. Food can be found a 5 min drive away in the town. And its only a short drive to Gunung Alab or Trusmadi for the birds...

• Pauline (5/5): Bed for the night - Location is quiet Room was big Able to use the kitchen to cut fruit for our upcoming trip. We were woken up at midnight by a group of rowdy people in the hallway who appeared to be travellers (they had bags and a case) but entered the staff room). The noise continued to over an hour. We tried calling the two numbers provided (security and after hours) but one was disconnected and the other went to voicemail). We had paid a deposit of RM50 for the room but we’re not given a receipt for this. When I asked for a receipt I was told I didn’t need one, and this ended up being correct because we got the RM50 back when we checked out, but it did make me nervous as there was no proof the cash had ever been paid.

• Kelvin (6/5): Need to grab it fast for cheaper price - Clean and tidy The shower heater needs to be fixed. The water pressure is too weak and not hot enough. Need to wait the guests next door finish their shower first before we can get the water to shower. It is noticeable because the wall is not soundproof.
• Cindy (7/5): It was Okey. Location are strategic. - It had so many channels on the TV, which is good. The staff are friendly and helpful. Room can be change with some additional cash to top up, which is fine. The shower heater it’s not hot enough and there’s a previous customer clothes left inside the cupboard which is not remove. I don’t know if they do cleaning the bedsheet as well when the previous customers left.

• Rob (1/5): Something I’d rather forget - Nothing Our Deluxe double room was essentially a shipping container and the high speed internet was totally non existent. Add to that getting woken by a cacophony of barking dogs every couple of hours, it was memorable for all the wrong reasons!

• Lachlan (8/5): Affordable and comfortable stay. - Excellent value for money. Located not too far from the Centre of town. Room was large and well appointed with tv, hot water, air conditioning. Tea and coffee provided. No food on site, I was told they are renovating facilities so possibly they will have in future. Town is a short drive to get food.
• Samuel (2/5): Nature stay but better maintenance required - Very flexible services like extra pillow, needing to seek guidance on places to visit and eat was good as the staff really assisted. The room was relatively dirty. The toilet door is broken with lots of washroom facilities like shelves, shower holder and heater was not in good functioning state. The air con upon observation have not been serviced for the longest time and other facilities like the cabinets, tables and chairs may require replacement. It is really far from town (approx 3km) and no alternative of food are nearby.

Lack of maintenance,especially bathroom fittings. Pipe leaking continuously and toilet fitting is too low making it uncomfortable to seat. Ants everywhere!

Will definitely be back in the future - Really appreciate the helpful and friendly staff, especially security when i came back late night & help me hold my room key Just need to update in their system regarding checkout time. In my email booking, checkout time is 2000hrs at night. But staff informed me is actually 1200hrs at noon. Might be confusing to other guests who have plans for the day. But other than that, homestay is superb!
