- Tara (10/5): Wonderful staff, comfortable room, adorable market town location - The bed was super comfortable. Every single member of staff from the front desk, to the bar, to the housekeepers were phenomenal. So kind and welcoming. I didn't get breakfast but I ordered dinner from the bar a few times and the food was very good. (Highly recommend the steak sandwich.) My stay was almost 3 weeks and I had no complaints whatsoever. Newport Pagnell was a very cute town with excellent walks nearby, especially with my dog, and it was a convenient location for several road trips. If I'm ever back in the area, I would DEFINITELY stay again Nothing could have been better.

- Anthony (7/5): A great location in an historic Inn. - Check in was efficient and the receptionist very friendly. The breakfast was excellent and the service first rate. We really enjoyed exploring the town, especially the green spaces right off the high street. The old iron bridge was exceptional and the river walk delightful. The shower in the room was difficult. One of us only managed a cold shower. The next morning the shower was warm, but not hot. The heater in the room was electric and very dated. We were nervous about leaving it on! There is very limited parking at the hotel, and a public lot behind the hotel that was only good for an overnight stay.

- Wendy (9/5): Fantastisch! Engels / Historische ervaring - Prachtig historisch pand, met een loungeroom en een pub in een leuk dorpje..Typisch engels.. Zeer gastvrij. Veel comfort. En het ontbijt is voortreffelijk. Zeer royaal. Alles naar wens persoonlijk voor je bereid. Veel waar voor je geld. Echt een aanrader. Soms iets lastiger parkeren i.v.m. drukte. Maar in de ongeving altijd plek. Bij grotere groepen met kinderen kan het iets luidruchtiger zijn en is het lopend buffet gedeelte snel op..met wat geduld vullen ze het snel bij.

- Mamanyara1994 (8/5): Excellent staff - The staff were exceptional, genuinely kind, and very attentive. The food was delicious and offered great value for money. My lower rating is due to the room: it was located in the loft, the floorboards clicked with every step, and the space felt quite tight. Overall, though, it was still a pleasant stay.

- Rodney (8/5): Great old Inn - Great location. Fantastic value. Bank holiday Monday. Hotel rang to said we couldn't book an evening meal in the restaurant after 4.30, despite an earlier phone call saying we could! Who has an evening meal at 4.30???. Really disappointed, we had travelled over 200 miles.

Bed was a little small and my fiance thought it was uncomfortable but I thought it was comfortable. Room on the small side but the ceilings are high which makes it feel less stuffy.

The toilet brush had not been cleaned either yuck We were not informed that there was a wedding party upstairs in an area near our bedroom, the music was quite loud.

- Pickett (5/5): Wouldn't stay her again. - The position was lovely, really nice breakfast, the hotel itself was fair value for money. A couple of major things really disappointed me. Firstly I had 2 small dogs with me. On arrival I was told the charge per dog is £20 which I felt was scandalous. I stay away every week and the maximum I've paid is £15 for a really good hotel but the average would be £10. No remote in my room and no tea spoons which was quite annoying. Also at dinner I had the recommendation butter chicken bites and they were £11.50, for £11.50 they need to be decent and these were not great, 4 bits more like canapes, some sour cream and chive and a small pot of mixed tomato salad is ridiculous.

- Alan (3/5): Will not be going back - Breakfast was good. Central Location Room 101. Must be the nosiest room in the hotel. Generator/Fan going all night. Windows don’t close securely so here all the noise from outside the pub underneath. Elephants staying above us banging about all night. Rudely woken up around 6 am by more banging and crashing about. Worst night sleep we have ever had!

- Teresa (7/5): Loved location and staff were very friendly but the breakfast change to buffet is not a good change. - Location and staff When we have stayed before, numerous times the breakfast has always been a special treat served from a menu at the table but this has now been changed to a buffet breakfast. We had to ask for tea, coffee and toast to be brought. There was no fruit juice or cereals. We disapprove of this change! Then to finish the tables and chairs were being dragged around to rearrange for lunch while we were still eating! Not a good experience!

Decent choice of breakfast hot or continental,that is fine for us A little dated with the heating and shower and toilet separate from wash basin,but understand as no room to fit it all in

We had 2 evening meals which were beautiful and plenty on plate We also had breakfast both mornings the full English was so filling with plenty on with extra toast brought to the table. Altogether a great experience Not a lot around the hotel but we did take a short walk to the small park by the river

- Llewellyn (5/5): Tired but clean and tidy - There was a lift to get to the higher rooms. Good supply of tea & coffee plus nice biscuits in the room. Bed was comfortable. Windows rattled in the wind. A group of very rowdy people were in the courtyard and because there is no double glazing the noise was bad.

- Diane (8/5): - Centrally placed in Newport Pagnell, on the main road, pubs and shop all easily accessible. Hotel has been refurbished Lift only goes to 2nd floor, rooms on 3rd floor accessible by stairs only. Bear in mind if this is an issue for you

- Mandy (6/5): Knew this hotel many years ago and it’s nothing like it used to be. Seems to be struggling. - Convenient for where I needed to be Room tired and needed good clean in places. Terrible smell of fish both inside and outside of room. Food general pub grub nothing out of ordinary.

Shower although a little on the small side was easy to use and easy to control temperature. Breakfast selection was good with Vegetarian otions for a cooked breakfast.

- Shelley (5/5): The staff are wonderful but the place leaves a lot to be desired - The staff were absolutely lovely. Some of the most lovely, helpful people I have come across. They make this place. The room was dated, was either red hot or freezing cold, super noisy with deliveries, the road, being near the lift, staircase and the bar below and passage way outside. Car parking facilities very difficult on arrival day.
