• Catriona (8/5): Very good - We stayed in the studio, which is two generously-sized rooms overlooking a green courtyard. The bed was very comfortable and there is excellent service - a daily clean, sheets changed every three days. There is solid, good quality furniture (wardrobe, bedside lockers). The decoration resembles a high-status Soviet apartment in the 1980s, but is new. The main room has a cot as well as the advertised sofa bed. There is an excellent breakfast (you can get hot food cooked to order as well as the buffet) and there is a half-litre bottle of water daily, complimentary. There are small shops locally, the Osh Market is just 15 minutes away, and Okean, towards the Philharmonia Hall, has fresh fish. The hotel is generally extremely quiet, though we had trouble on one night with some inconsiderate guests talking loudly in the courtyard below - I had to ask them to quieten down at 1.15 a.m. and again at 3.30 a.m. (really not reasonable). There was no equipment in the kitchen apart from two sharp knives (though it was useful to have those), two glasses, and two cups and saucers. We had to ask the staff for plates and knives, and even a second chair! The sofa bed is not particularly comfortable to sit on. The sitting room looks more like an overspill for extra guests than an actual sitting room. The kitchen cabinet has an empty space for a washing machine -- not supplied; you need to use the (efficient and reasonably priced) laundry service. Beware of the safe - ours jammed with our passports inside and it was 24 hours till someone located the right key to unlock it. We liked the area (back streets, with some low houses and Soviet blocks still there), but it isn't picturesque and there is a large building site next door, so the street is very dusty. I have travelled all over the former USSR and was happy with the district, but a normal tourist might prefer somewhere closer to Ala Too. Bishkek is expensive by comparison with Almaty, so the price is fair, but these aren't the facilities you would expect for the cost in other cities in this part of the world (or indeed Europe).

The receptionist was very kind to wait for our very late check-in and a plus for me is that she knows how to converse in English (which is kinda difficult to find when in Kyrgystan - no offense meant). The area is 15 minutes walking distance to Osh Bazaar which was the reason we looked for a place nearby. Overall it was a delightful stay in Soluxe. Not really not like, but I guess an elevator/lift is never a thing in Kyrgyzstan 😁😂 You have to haul your luggages up a few flight of stairs to reach your room . But as I've said, an elevator/lift is uncommon..

• Marla (2/5): Horrible. My stay was a nightmare - The staff I dealt with were nice and tried to help as much as they can. I had a nice spacious room that was clean. I had a bad experience with this hotel. They had teenagers checked in all over the hotel and they were extremely loud and noisy. They kept slamming their doors and you can hear them from inside their rooms talking loudly and slamming their items. At 11 pm, while I was lying in bed relaxing going to sleep, I got a loud banging on my door. It was three teen girls and I couldn’t even understand what they wanted from me cause they didn’t speak English. On 8 am the next day, again I had banging on my door and a doorbell, when I opened the door, they were already running up the stairs. The staff explained the girls made a mistake but that really disturbed me from my sleep. I couldn’t relax at all. It was very uncomfortable. They clearly could not control the teens and I complained many times but they couldn’t do anything about it. No elevator. All kinds of noise from outside the hallways and other rooms can be heard. The breakfast was basic, nothing special.

I was really pleasantly surprised by my stay here, the hotel deserves more than three stars! Minor points: the wifi signal was stronger in the bathroom than the bedroom, air conditioning unit occasionally made a funny noise, bed slightly firm for my preference.

They arranged a taxi from and to the airport for 15 dollars which I paid by debit card at the hotel. Airport is 30min (33 kms away). Taxi could be less expensive with agency but I didn't have enough time for research. Is a little bit far from the centre but location is safe and quiet.

• Igor (8/5): A pleasant place to stay for a few days. - Excellent breakfast, suitable both for parents and children. Very quiet. Clean spacious suite. Very helpful staff. There is no door between rooms in a family suite, which, well, makes renting a suite pointless: you can't close the door to allow your child sleep undisturbed while doing your business in a living room. Microwave would be a great addition to the kitchenette, too bad there wasn't any.
• Nicholas (9/5): Superb - A very good small and friendly hotel, the location west of the city suited me to be a little away from the city centre for cycling into the city each day for sight seeing and going to theatres. I was staying for an extended time of 10 days and then 2 days. The rooms and bed are comfortable, breakfast was good every day and the hotel is kept very clean. The staff were always helpful to order taxis for me. I hope you will chose this hotel if you are staying in Bishkek. The lady on reception was exceptionally helpful on my arrival. I wanted to rent a bicycle for my stay in Bishkek. She telephoned around every shop to find one which would rent a bicycle and ordered a taxi for me to get there. If you are doing the same and want to rent a bicycle, the nearest is Gerget Sport - 182 Gorky St, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, tel +996772921002. • Sasha (8/5): Nice hotel, good area. - I liked the proximity to the main street of Bishkek, everything was on walking distance. The location was not great, but good and reachable by cheap taxi. Breakfast was okay, the staff was quite helpful. I didn't like the fact that the I had a view to the private house, not the best choice. Moreover, I didn't like that they charged me in local currency whereas they wrote the price in USD on booking.com - I had to pay some fees for currency convertation.

It's about a 10 minute walk to Osh Bazaar and about a 20 minute walk to Bishkek Park mall. I with that they had an English menu for their restaurant. I know other English speakers that stay at this hotel frequently while they are in Bishkek.
