- Tats71 (10/5): - The staff were really friendly and helpful.
- Jordan (9/5): Overall, this was a good value and conveniently located hotel that worked well for a basic stay, although occasional noi - The location of this property was very ideal and the price was excellent for what you get. It is definitely a “you get what you pay for” type of place, as the accommodation is quite basic, but if you are simply looking for somewhere practical and affordable to stay, it does the job very well. The hotel staff were also friendly and helpful throughout the stay. I have stayed at this property, as well as similar locations from the same group, a number of times, and they have generally been very consistent. One downside is that the hotel can be a little noisy at certain times, depending on the time of year and what events are taking place nearby. During our stay, there was also a power cut, although thankfully it did not take too long to resolve. Another issue was that the key cards were quite temperamental. On a few occasions we were locked out of the room and had to return to reception to have the cards reset, and even then they did not always work immediately. At one point it nearly required staff to bring the full unlocking equipment before the issue was eventually resolved.
- Damien (1/5): Terrible expérience ! - ….
- James (8/5): -

- Dawn (5/5): Owfull back room looking on to a brick wall - Nothing Room basic shower not working stars dirty breakfast small moved to this hotell royal Boston as work been done on royal Alexander it was out of the area we wanted to be in
- Michelle (10/5): Great location - Great location,friendly staff
- kris (10/5): Comfortable and relaxing - It was very clean and the staff were very polite
- Kirstin (10/5): -
- Christopher (5/5): Out of town and a bit run down - Staff were excellent Very dated, lift broke which was difficult due to my wife’s mobility, water pressure was terrible so shower was an experience and breakfast was sub standard paid for 4 had 1 overall it was a bit disappointing as our original booking for the sister hotel was right in town, this was meant to be the upgraded hotel but just felt dated
- Shell (10/5): - Everything No disabled access as im a wheelchair user xxxx
- Tracey (7/5): -
- JOHN (10/5): -
- Jackie (4/5): Paid £2 for pool table in Royal Boston that didn’t work and did not get the £2 back - Royal Alexandra took my booking but later said they’d be closed and we’d be in a different hotel Location, wasn’t what I’d planned
- Edžus (10/5): -
- Frans (4/5): -
- Juergen und Co. (8/5): Insgesamt zufrieden. - Personal sehr freundlich.. Hinweis:
Es waren keine kostenlose Pflegeprodukte wie in Booking.com beschrieben vorhanden.
Es gab kein Zimmerservice.
Föhn war auch nicht da.
- giovanni (9/5): -
- Wayne (7/5): -
- steve (10/5): Well placed for the Winter Gardens - Comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful. Very close to the winter gardens The heating wasn’t working and we were given heaters. The TV in the room didn’t work and there were signs stuck in the lobby saying it was an issue with the aerial. There was a musty smell in the room. The steps into the hotel were broken and were removed by someone to help keep guests safe.
- Tim (7/5): - Location was good for what I went for Nothing
- Margo (6/5): -
- Michelle (7/5): For the price we paid we was happy. It was clean. Most of staff friendly - The breakfast was nice. We was able to help ourselves to cereal toast and fried breakfast We was a large party who had booked 4 rooms. We went to breakfast together and was repeated asked to confirm our room numbers while we was trying to eat even though we had told the man we had all booked our rooms to holiday together
- John (4/5): -
- James (5/5): Whent home feeling pissed off, - Breakfast was great, staff were helpful and friendly, but unfortunately view from our room was a brick wall 🧱 and the noise was unacceptable we were woken up by the people in the next round at 4am Saturday morning and 5am on the sunday morning. Noisy people in the next room, crap view from our room, no tv 😑
- Jack (10/5): -
- Nigel (8/5): Very good would stay again - Staff very friendly room very clean like the little touch of kettle and brew stuff in the room Nothing
- Terry (8/5): -
- carol (2/5): we are in our 60s and we had to leave a deposit and you dont get it back untill 30 days after, - where it was for us to get to where we were going. the rooms needed fixing no heating on
- Michael (1/5): Poor. Cold and unhelpful. Should not be open. - Spacious room Shocking experience. No heating the entire weekend, we were told we would be given heaters, none given. We came for a weekend with our young child and nothing was done. We were told we could change rooms but then not as they were somehow fully booked with no heating. We were told no spare bedding yet there was a store cupboard evidently full of linen. A very poor experience. Would not recommend and certainly won't be staying again. No tv remote. No lift access it needed. No card facilities if needed.
- Ellie (10/5): -
- Wayne (9/5): Clean and tidy - Everything went fine from checking in to checking out friendly staff Nothing
- Stacey (4/5): Blackpool on the whole was nice but the hotel was disappointing to say the least. - The beds were clean & comfy. The room despite it's location(3rd floor) & the lift being out of order was tidy & warm though not exactly clean& no offer of help was made to move our cases. We mentioned things to the receptionist eg no batteries in remote for TV, only one working tap & although she put it onto a post it note, it was not entered into a proper record book, another member of staff did check for us. The paid for breakfast was awful, the bread was not covered (nor were the pastries) & it was dry & stale. There were no tongs or other utensils to pick up the bread or pastries & no staff were on hand to speak to or check that anything was ok to the point that no one ever noticed or enquired as to why we didn't attend breakfast after our first day also the water (in a thermos) for hot drinks was so cool that it wouldn't dissolve the instant coffee or sugar.
- Shannon (1/5): Crap. - There was nothing really to like, ok location. Everything about the place was a mess. We stayed for 4 nights and one night the fire alarm went off and there was a massive leak in lobby where people worked outside our bedroom window till 2am and the night after people screaming until 4 am. Crazy weird place and I’d avoid at all costs. They have a different phone number on every site and none of them work.
- Stephen (5/5): - The staff were friendly and very helpful. I booked BB when we got there they said that they don't do cook a breakfast. Which l paid for. I also booked disabled friendly wheelchair access. When I got there, there's 12 steps to climb. Why was this.
- Adeel (2/5): - Nothing
- Shraddha (8/5): -
- Sandra (1/5): Not a good experience at all - Breakfast was ok for a continental I stayed for 3 nights 4 days and my room had no hot water, I complained several times over the course of my stay only to be told on the 3rd day to shower in an other room.
- Aghogho Augustine (2/5): I felt helpless, leaving the comfort of my home for such a place. - British breakfast Leaking roof. I slept on the floor. The bed was soaked with bathroom water from the top floor. By morning, I was sneezing n sick.
- James (2/5): Unhelpful staff just didn't give a toss - The tv could've been fixed instead of being fobbed off with there's nobody on site to replace it both days.
- Charlotte (7/5): -
- Hayley (5/5): -
- Lyndsey (8/5): -
- Kelly (8/5): -
- Ryan (3/5): - The staff as pleasant There was no heating or hot water…..some ceiling was missing and it just stunk of mould
- Noel (7/5): -
- Darbyshire (1/5): - Nothing There was human feces on the floor in corridor, no heating and me and my 0 year old daughter shivered all night.. heating is basic human rights in the UK! What a dive bomb this place is! All people staying here arguing all night too
- Jade (8/5): - Lovely, helpful staff
- Melissa (1/5): -
- Lee (5/5): Won't stop there again - Location fine, breakfast was cereal only Sruffy looking hotel ,rooms in need ofbTLC
- Paul (7/5): -
- Tracey (1/5): -
- Keelin (1/5): Lift doesn’t work, hot water in a lot of the rooms doesn’t work and the rooms are very dated and dirty - The location was the best bit I found a bed bug infestation on the first night got moved rooms and had no electric or hot water the second night. The photos of the hotel on this site are very misleading.
- Hayden (8/5): -
- Stephanie (1/5): Avoid at all costs!!! - Nothing… The place was filthy, we had not hot water all weekend, the carpets had not even hoovered, the mirrors were filthy, the shower had hair all in it, the electric went off on Saturday, the wall paper was falling off the walls, I’ve never stayed anyway this and before! I have complained to the hotel. We should never have had to go all weekend without hot water! I have requested a full refund and so have the rest of the party we were with.
- Anthony (8/5): Hotel was clean and tidy .staff were helpful and bubbly not the ritz but definitely worth the money -
- Penny (5/5): Not impressed - Unfortunately it wasn’t as we usually have in the past bookings there wasn’t any heating on the last morning we didn’t have any water pressure in the shower or sink
and we’re unable to wash upon going downstairs we were told there would be a late fee of £10 which we paid but then told by staff we couldn’t leave our luggage in reception as the hotel was closing my partner had to move the said luggage by the door and rush up to the car park we found the receptionist very short and abrupt sad tbh as we’ve always had a nice stay room 37 definitely needs attention paying to it regarding no reception on the television very little or no water in the shower which is hanging off the wall and only cold water coming from the sink taps I also reported that the carpet either side of the bed was soaked in whatever and had to place a plastic bag in either side let’s hope things have improved for our next stay in December for the Xmas holidays 🙏
- Short (4/5): Great location, very poor room - Location for town centre Room very poor.
Smelled of cigarette smoke
TV not working
Shower had no pressure, just trickle
No central heating. Weather was very cold.
Stayed 2 nights but would not return
- Michelle (8/5): -
- Tyler (10/5): -
- Cummings (6/5): - The heating didnt work in the bedroom it was absolutely baltic in room overnight
- Andrew (4/5): Get what you pay for! - Location & Price. The whole hotel is in serious need of some TLC.
No heating, room was freezing.
No hot water in shower.
Bedding was clean but old and two of the seams on the duvet cover were torn.
- Rachel (4/5): - Good location Room was dirty, stains on the carpet, crisp crumbs under the bed sheet, beds very uncomfortable, TV had no signal, continental breakfast questionable (stale)
- Robert (7/5): -
- Sam (6/5): -
- Tammy (7/5): -
- Stumpy6 (7/5): Friendly, comfy and close to everything - Location was fabulous, bed very comfy, staff very friendly and helpful, plenty of tea/coffee. The hotel advertised that toiletries were included in the room. However reception told us just to ask but they didn't have any and the cleaner informed us that they didn't supply them anyway. Room was very small, however adequate for our needs.
- Paula (7/5): Good location clean towels and bed , hot shower and nice n warm in the room , it was worth what we paid as very cheap , - Great location. No lift , but we did say we’d be fine with the stairs .
- Elaine (8/5): -
- Andrew (6/5): - Good location comfy bed No hot water couldn't have a shower
Heating not working room very cold
Carpet not swept false nail on the floor dirty fork under the bed
Wallpaper all ripped (stayed before won't be staying again
- Kathryn (8/5): -
- Colette (8/5): - Location
- Gayle (1/5): -
- Edward (5/5): 1 day trip - Location The room was cold and there was a smell in the room coming from toilet
- Nicola (10/5): -
- Laura (8/5): -
- John (5/5): - Not a lot to like why it's called Royal is beyond me All of it
- Phillip (1/5): Health and safety risk - Reception was quite inviting On arrival into the corridor our room was on was absolutely freezing we entered the room the room was absolutely freezing no central heating, the bed was crooked leant to one side so much a bottle of water rolled of it very uncomfortable to sleep as you kept rolling of the bed, room was dirty tv didn’t work the tv remote wasn’t for the tv in the room, going into the bathroom there was no running hot water from the sink, shower pressure was so poor it took nearly an hour just to get the shampoo out of my hair there was a crack in the shower basin pubic hair on the ceiling mould on the bathroom window fire door closer missing which is a massive health and safety issue, also damp and condensation all around the room so bad the wallpaper is coming away from the wall the bed sheets felt cold and wet there was so much damp and condensation in the room, bathroom door lock was also broken all pictures and videos are available on request
- Bosanko (6/5): -
- Denise (2/5): Good apart from points raised - It was in a excellent location, staff who we seen were friendly Rooms need a revamp, decor very old and tired (layers of paint on walls, no curtains, very poor double glazing, no heating, hardly any hot water, front steps to main doors missing or cracked and no lighting on night time, making steps very dangerous
- Aimee (7/5): -
- Julie (1/5): - Walked in and walked out never stayed
Wouldn't let my dog stay here
Damp and mould on walls
The corridors smell of sewage.Fire alarm went off when we arrived and there was no control or organising the situation .I have never in my life seen a hotel this bad.Steps going up to the front door had tiles missing and broke.Had to book elsewhere so looking my money back.
- Iona (6/5): - A bit tatty not well run As above
- Tavish (7/5): Fair and Fine. - The staff was great. The room was fine, not the room advertised on the pictures. This one was a little smaller but fine. The price was good £30 a night. Could do with some new carpets. The one thing I hate is that the shower doesn't drain and all the water just accumulates at the bottom. New drainage and shower head would be beneficial.
- Melguest (7/5): -
- Robert (7/5): - Location
- Nicola (9/5): -
- Jerzynek (8/5): -
- Reynolds (10/5): - Easy to find great location close to everything we was doing/needed staff were friendly place was clean amazing will definitely be back again for some long weekends
- Natalie (8/5): Perfect location, clean rooms. - Ideal location No entertainment
- David (2/5): Very very poor - The location was in a good spot and the carpark wasn't to bad either Well we got an email the day before turning up to the hotel to find out the lift was broken I booked this hotel because I needed a lift for my wife with disabilities because she can't do the stairs we asked for a bottom floor room after we found out the lift was broken but was fully booked they said she only has 16 stairs to get up to the room but turns out to be 32 stairs to get in to the room
The shower was to hot and couldn't turn it down we reported this and they said the boiler was not on hot so try again and was still boiling
The tv didn't work either which we again reported and they said its because of the sea breeze
And wasn't very clean stained carpets very dusty
- Claire (5/5): Not comfortable - Thr location was ok and the reception staff was friendly The room was cold, the bed was all springs very uncomfortable and the TV didnt work for when we was in room which was very disappointing. When I spoke to reception they said or yeah areal does work so asked ti move rooms due to heating and none of there computers would work either si we had ti suffer for 2 nights which was upsetting
