- Jo (6/5): Good value no frills hotel - Basic with no frills but clean, wall lights didnât work but lamps put in room to compensate. Blinds pull broken but could still close just couldnât adjust. Beds clean and comfortable. Rooms were very warm so had to sleep with window open, minimal noise so not an issue. Bathroom small but did the job and shower was hot and decent power. Floorboards very creaky and tv remote temperamental. Could do with a facelift as apart from furnishings all very tired looking. Location was perfect and staff very friendly and helpful. Limited parking so book in advance to guarantee. Facilities looked ok but we didnât use them as already had plans, well stocked bar with huge tv where there seemed to be entertainment on (bingo the night we were there) and dining area. Very convenient and suited our needs so would stay again for a quick stopover. Feel like we got a basic room as we got a discounted price as room was not like photos. In fact wasnât a triple room, but 2 rooms, 1 with a double bed and 1 with a single. Was ok for us but may not work for every family.
- Kerry (6/5): Okay for the money - I was quite disappointed with our stay. Our room was ok amenities wise but the window sills were extremely dirty. Not ideal when you pay more for a sea view that you can only see by standing at the window. The entertainment was very loud and went on til really late. Our shower only had one temperature and was absolutely scolding, completely unusable. The bed was clean and comfortable. This is our 3rd stay in Blackpool this year and and definitely a hotel I would not return to.
- Santhanal (4/5): Bed was the only good thing. - We did not enjoy the stay at all. The interior especially the carpets in the hotel throughout especially the room was awful. There was hardly any water came out the shower head. Even when the dripps and drops came it was either too hot or cold, the temperature knobs was broken and didnât function at all. The fans in the room didnt work properly they just made noise not air. The beds were ok and they were clean and tidy, fixtures and fittings on the building looks old and tacky. No one answer the phones. Had to wait for a while before someone came to help at the reception for checkout.
- Layla (4/5): - Poor condition. Needs updating. Limited food times and no out of hours food. Everyone complaining about something broken in their rooms, toilets, showers leaking through ceilings and in our room a gale blowing on our heads all night & whistling sounds first night. Rowdy guests drunk every night and very few people there in the evenings. Some staff friendly, some not friendly. Entertainment good but drinks excellent. Run down area but beach beautiful. Lift decrepit and felt very unstable. The whole place needs completely modernising - not cheap and much nicer places to stay in the immediate vicinity. Things fixed quickly but should have been done before arrivals or preferably not have needed doing at all. Tatty restaurant area in need of renovation but breakfast okay. Service good in restaurant. Some customer service good, others very moody. Would not recommend or stay there again unless totally renovated and new windows, fixtures and fittings and a modern service extra hours evening food and cheaper prices if still grotty outdated interior. It used to be very good and packed out apparently but itâs dreadfully outdated and dull now, virtually empty even at weekends. Overall very disappointing indeed.
- Gary (6/5): - Stayed here a few years ago and was far better then. This hotel has gone down hill since. Bedroom very small, double bed not king size. Hotel seemed very empty. Will not be going back to this hotel.

Room was clean but bathroom was terrible the smell, dirty toilet brush left floor was dirty shower door would open/shut properly wouldnât stay on runner. Above the bed was sticky and full of dust. Main toilet in the reception was dirty as well.
- Justyna (4/5): Felling like back to 1980 - Well, I don't know where to begin. The room we were given was stuck in the 1960s. It was very small, the bathroom practically right next to the bed, the bathroom door wouldn't close, and neither did the entrance door. The windows overlooking the sea were so dirty you couldn't see anything. You had to hold the kettle because it didn't work. The bed was covered in plastic foil, rustling terribly. The ceiling showed signs of water damage, as if it were about to collapse. It was loud, everything shook and creaked. The shower was tiny, we barely fit in it, and the toilet seat was broken. We had a good laugh every minute, and something new surprised us. No air conditioning. We definitely won't be back! đ

- Gillian (4/5): Not the best! - Check in was ok until they asked me to pay a ÂŁ50 deposit which would be returned on check out! This was ok for me personally but it would be a bit embarrassing for someone who didnât have ÂŁ50 excess cash in their account and could have their stay affected through lack of finances! No spoons in the room with the tea/coffee, rooms in need of an update! We went in to see the entertainment and got 2 pints of lager from the bar one with a dash of blackcurrant they cost ÂŁ13.50 but they ruined my drink with the cheap blackcurrant they put in it! I wouldnât stay at this hotel again! The main selling point is the 11 oâclock check out!

- Hayley (6/5): OK just to sleep - It was ok for a quick stay, but I wouldn't spend anymore than a couple of nights here. The window was broken and wouldn't close so the room was freezing. The toilet wouldn't flush unless we poured a bucket of water. There was holes in the doors and stains on the carpets. It's a shame because the bed was comfy and the decor was nice. A better cleaner and some attention to detail would really make this a lovely place to stay with a beautiful view.

They phoned me on the day of my stay saying that Expedia had made a mistake and they had to relocate my stay to a different hotel with a bog standerd room with a lovely room (not) facing the car park but theres only one thing i didn't book threw Expedia ..they ripped us off ...

Free parking was included on our booking but when arrived asked to pay ÂŁ10 per night (2 nights) did get it refunded eventually but no apology! Room okay but only 2 small tablets of soap and No other toiletries. 2nd morning shower freezing cold and need to mountaineer to get into bath too. Breakfast good with prompt service. Entertainment on 2nd evening Freddie Mercury tribute Dean Richardson who was brilliant! Shame about lack of toiletries and attitude about parking as otherwise very good.

- Look (2/5): - This hotel needs to be dragged into the 21 St century. I appreciate they have to cope with the building but that doesnât stop it being clean and modern. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also what you would expect. The hotel is a cabaret hotel so we were kept up until one oâclock in the morning so be warned.

- Simon (6/5): Adequate but met needs - Tired rooms - curtains didnt match the window width, âtoiletriesâ were a small bar of soap. Rubber plug for bath wig no chain so had to use a tea spoon to prise it out! Breakfast was adequate but slow service with out hot order not being put into the chef. Staff friendly and helpful especially the young lady in charge of the dining room at breakfast who rapidly resolved our hot food delay once it was identified.

If you want to get early night, make sure your not above the function room. we were on 1st floor and heard everything.

- Stephen (4/5): Royal Boston Hotel Blackpool - When I booked the pictures it shows on the site are nothing like you get (some rooms maybe) i assumed that i was booking a good standard hotel and it was not cheap but all i got was a very budget hotel i would not go here again. Save money and book a nice bed and breakfast instead. Hotel does not serve food after 6.30pm very disappointing and service for breakfast very poor.

Its out of the main centre but great to jump on a tram and explore. Our room was at the back of the hotel so we weren't disturbed with any late night noise coming from the bar. Room nice and spacious with a good shower.

A passerby collapsed having a hypo and a member of staff started screaming at me what drugs has he had. I did not know the man in question and was just the first, first aider on the the scene. Parking was a issue, we parked two streets away on the road. We had to walk through a very busy bar to get to our lift for our room. (123) Everyone seemed to be enjoying the singer but we didn't stay. We requested a bath if available but didn't get one. Staff were very nice and attentive. Didn't eat or drink here so can't comment on them.

Good choices at breakfast but jams and marmalade were tasteless. Great location, but parking was very expensive (ÂŁ20 per 24 hours) we parked 5 mins walk away for half that. Would definitely stay again.
- Chris (10/5): - Very helpfull reception staff and very friendly. The hotel did my laundry at last minute for me as i was checking out early next morning so a big thank you to the 2 ladies on housekeeping. Definately stay here again on my next trip to Blackpool.

- John (8/5): November weekend break. - We stayed in room 106. The room was too small. The remainder of the stay was very good. Breakfast was good. Entertainment good. Staff friendly and professional. Bar prices ÂŁ2.50 for a pint which is excellent considering its a hotel with entertainment on. The young people serving in the restaurant are a credit to the company.
- Rose (8/5): - Bargain Friday night stay ÂŁ36 double room staff very friendly & helpful. Room clean on small size but for 1 night no problem. Tea making facilities but take your own shampoo & shower gel. We will def visit again.

- Mr m collins (10/5): Excellent stay at the royal Boston hotel - Hotel was good ,location good as there was buses and tram straight outside. Staff very friendly and helpful, we had breakfast , lunch and dinner which all was excellent and value for money. There was entertainment on every night normally 2 different acts all of which was outstanding especially the four d's a must to see . We stayed in a double sea view room which was a nice size room and also had a walk in shower which was quite large wifi was only available in the main areas not the bedrooms though. The bar area was big and clean also has a dance floor and they serve there own brand lager,cider and bitter which was a nice tasty drink which all reasonabley priced at ÂŁ2.50 a pint but also branded drinks as well in bottles . Overall stay at this hotel was excellent cannot fault anything will definitely be returning
- Bethan (10/5): One of the best - Everything about our holiday was perfect ! A warm welcome and fantastic Staff, good food and excellent accommodation. The room , was by far one of the nicest and most comfortable Iâve experienced in 40years of visiting Blackpool. Our Children were welcomed and enjoyed their stay, especially the quality entertainment provided each evening. Convenient to town, with a bus and tram stop opposite. Parking facilities and WiFi. We will definitely be back, Thankyou so much !

- Ian (8/5): Good entertainment - poor WiFi - The hotel has had a recent refit with new bathrooms, windows and doors, obviously the firm with the lowest quote got the job and this shows, pity. The hotel has very limited parking and on street parking is a nightmare. WiFi is not available in the rooms and although the speed is a presentable 12Mbs coverage of the public areas is weak; WiFi repeaters are quite cheap so why they have not fitted them I really do not know. The concert area and bar are quite impressive with surprisingly good entertainment on every evening. If you are worried about the noise then on the second floor (of three) I could not hear the entertainment so soundproofing is quite good. The bathroom was somewhat cramped and I was surprised to find that the only offering was a small soap; I can not recall a hotel in any price category anywhere in the world that has not provided at least shower gel so you need to take your own. Towels were a good size and quality. Breakfast was self select juice and cereal with table service for coffee, tea, toast and a small, 'full English'. Staff, particularly in the restaurant, worked very hard and always had a cheery word. All in all the hotel represents fairly good value for money.
- Miss (8/5): Surprisingly lovely hotel - We only intended to use this hotel as a base for the Gin Festival and booked two nights. We were pleasantly surprised at the hotel. Staff were very friendly, rooms clean and plenty of coffee/teas in your room. Not really a down side, but be aware that there are no card machines and you can't add drinks onto your room, so take cash if you want to stay in for the night. No hairdryer in the room but you can get one from reception if you pay a deposit. I only needed it for ten mins so they let me quickly nip and use it. As I say, it's not a down point but I would have preferred to know before I go so hopefully this'll help others. It's what we would describe as a typical coach trip hotel. Which if what you want is friendly staff, customers and cabaret on top every evening then this would be the hotel for you. We would definitely stay again.
