Habitación con balcón no la recomiendo ya que es vista hacia un patio interior. Tuve la poca fortuna de que el hotel estaba en mantenimiento entonces varias zonas como la estancia y el roof estaban en mal estado y poco atendidas. La alberca está riquísima y algo pequeña. El agua de la regadera estaba fría y tardaba demasiado en calentar como 15m y los dispensadores de jabones poco eficaces se traban.

Pero en realidad la habitación estuvo perfecta el baño hermos y la alberca sensacional . No hay secadora de pelo y me era muy necesaria

Lucy (6/5): - The location of this hotel is excellent, very close to the city center. The rooms are spacious, and the cleanliness of the room appears to be good. However, this hotel is rated as four stars, yet there are no cups in the room at all. When we wanted to rinse our mouths, we had to hold the water in our hands. I asked the staff at the front desk downstairs, and he told me that the room we were staying in did not provide any cups. I was quite surprised; what kind of hotel is like this? Furthermore, the hotel's advertisement on the website mentioned that there would be a safe in the room, but the safe in my room had been removed. I took a photo and showed it to the staff at the front desk, but he said there was nothing they could do to resolve the issue. The staff at the front desk were very nice—one was named Santiago, and the other, a young tall male staff member, whose name I forgot. They were both very polite.

They had a band on Saturday which was nice ! Could use some upgrades and does not truly reflect the pretty photos on the website. Staff were very friendly especially Nicholas who works hard and is great with customer service. Close walk to beach and restaurants.

Minnie (4/5): - This hotel is a ripoff. I asked the receptionist the next morning I arrived if they had any chairs available at the beach and she said yes so I paid for 10 days. When I went over to the beach my first day I went to go lay down on the chairs and not after a waitress came and told me I can only stay there if I pay $800 worth of drinks and food so I said no I am not interested so I walked out. Every day after that for the next 9 days I was trying to get my money back over 41 dollars US. I met with the manager twice he said he would get me my money back it didn’t happen. There is no coffee maker, no safe, i tried asking if I can get 5 more clothing hangers for 4 days and they finally came back to me with an answer no. I couldn’t watch tv cause the language is in Spanish I got the maintenance to come and try to change it to English and they couldn’t, not even Netflix so I had no tv for 10 days how boring is that. There too roof pool opens at 10am nothing earlier so you know for the early birds. There is nothing going on in that hotel they don’t serve drinks at the pool nothing. Poor service I wouldn’t come back here again

The facilities could make some minor changes like update the pool tile, replace outside chairs, and renovate the elevator. There’s also a spa downstairs which was absolutely a good time & reasonably priced for the services. All in all I would stay here again. This place is a few feet from 5th avenue & 20mins for Xplor park.

Liliana (8/5): Second time there - The front desk brown guy has terrible customer service skills, he is very rude, unrespectful and helpless, he yields and swears aloud in Spanish compleining about guests and how now he has to pay his “worker meal” and more, he is slow and miss details in check in. The security staff is amazing and the best! They helped me with internet matters that the receptionist didn’t care. It was my second stay there, I love the location and the rooms, however this time one bed missed clean sheets and had previous guest’s hair,if I were with another traveller I would ask the dirty bed to be changed and clean. I hope next time front desk and housekeeper staff do better their tasks. I love the location and that’s why o go there.

There is no need to charge 60 US dollars for something like that. Due to that one incident I will not be returning there as you do not treat your guests like that.
Verified traveler (4/5): No hot water/no water pressure. - Believe others when they say there is no hot water and no water pressure. If you stay in a room with a tub, it is for show only- again no hot water and no water pressure to fill the thing up to actually take a bath. When no hot water was reported I was told I should have turned the handle the other way- I tried that and waited minutes for hot water to appear- and it never did. There is so little water pressure it will actually stop running altogether despite being on. I’ve stayed in this area oF PDC many times. I won’t return to this particular property again.

Arturo also had amazing customer service. always made me feel welcomed and was willing to provide great customer service. went beyond to assist me in any way possible. My room was always clean. cleaning service and the girl who assisted me during breakfast was great. Spa experience was also great.
Vanessa (6/5): Don’t expect a 5 star hotel + construction noise - Careful - building with construction right in front that woke us up every morning. The hotel is not well isolated so bring earplugs if you don’t want to be woken up at 6:30 am. This definitely did not feel like a 5 star hotel. The look and feel was a little older than the pictures and missing a basic amenity such as a blow dryer. The toilet also has a clear glass divider between the sink which was unecessary and quite dangerous as when I had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night I walked right into the glass divider. The AC also broke down in the middle of one night which woke us up with a loud noise that sounded like gunshots. Someone came in and repaired it the next day. Otherwise the cleaning staff did an amazing job everyday, provided clean sheets and towels, cleaned the floors, and left the room smelling great. The location is also amazing. Not in the crazy nightlife area and right next to the beach access. Overall would recommend but don’t expect a 5 star hotel, feels more like a 3.5.

Trevor (2/5): - DO NOT stay at this hotel. Upon check in we proceed to the room. After opening the door the smell of mold was so strong and over powering. Air conditioning did not work. The faucet had NO RUNNING WATER. Shower glass was full of stains and had not been cleaned. Horrible experience with the staff as they could not speak English. Did not stay in the room for longer then 10 minutes and was still charged for 3 nights with no refund. STAY AWAY!!! I have videos... Does anyone know how to upload?

The room was spacious and clean, and the balcony looked into an atrium, although the music from the main floor would echo up in the morning, and it was quite loud. Beach/pool towels were already in the room, which was very convenient. On the downside, we were not able to get hot water in the shower.
Verified traveler (2/5): Things have changed - Arrived tired of course. I was woken up by sledge hammer banging at 12 midnight. Went downstairs to investigate and found the night manager and a security gard pounding on the safe this went on for 30 plus mins. Apparently some kind of extortion. Talked to the Management in the morning no consideration was offered to the guest for this unexceptabe event. No hot water most of the time I was there. Short of towels for the bathroom had to reuse a wet towel. Asked at the front desk for a clean towel was informed they didn't have any. The boom boom music on the weekend went on till 3 am. I have stayed here before. It was nice then. Charged an extra 192 peso"tax"? Was this legitimate? Or a Scam.
Brittney (2/5): - Staff is nice and tries their best but unfortunately this Property isn’t anywhere near a 4 star hotel. Inside there is no a/c in any area aside from your room, extremely hot all the time/ the room itself isn’t up to date and has stains all on the furniture and they didn’t have small face towels, barely any toilet paper. We had to switch rooms. Nobody really speaks English so be prepared to struggle A LOT! The language barrier can cause a lot of headaches when it comes to pricing and paying, they get you to spend more. Hotel is older and in underdeveloped area, it’s construction across the street so the walking can be a bit tough. Would not recommend this hotel.
Alejandro Reyes (4/5): - I traveled with my partner last friday and our first night in the hotel was horrible. I took a shower and our whole room got flooded. Management switched us to a different room but I was not happy about it. Management stated that to they received a previous complaint about this room. My partner and I had to pack again all of our staff and move everything to the new room. The following day we decided to go to Isla mujeres all day and when we came back around 8pm my partner noticed our safe was open. Money was missing from our safe but thank god our documents were safe. I will recommend not to stay in this hotel and look for something else around the Area. I learned my lesson and wont ever stay here again.
Luis (10/5): - First time in Playa del Carmen and this place was awesome! Close to the beach, and close to the shops. Excellent service from the staff. The hotel, itself, was very modern. Room was really nice, pool area, so relaxing. The breakfast was amazing, would definitely stay here again!
Huey (4/5): - 4/10 We will NOT be staying here againThis was quite the catfish hotel we stayed 5 nights. The location was great close to everything and safe, pool was nice but small. The lack of cleanliness was absolutely horrible from pink stains allover the toilet that a simple fix that no one cared to clean. When we asked for towels we were brought new ones but told they're actually not switched out every day it was every 3 days ( GROSS) Bedding wasn't changed daily just made up. No coffee machine or cups in the room. The water pressure is no existent at all, There's no hair dryer, the AC is weak. We asked for hot water at the bar downstairs and they gave it to us we asked another night and someone else said they didn't have any, clearly they did we had it before. There's a big disconnect with the staff half were great and friendly half were not helpful at all. The rating here is way off, I don't recommend at all there's way better places to stay.

Kelly (10/5): - Our stay was amazing not without a few hiccups along the way, (room wasn’t ready at check in time, door lock battery died) but the staff made up for it. I’ve worked in hotels for over 10 years in management positions. The staff are great, one day it rained and I walked back in soaking wet and without even asking a staff member gave me a towel. Anticipating the needs of guests is key to good service. The bars both downstairs and at the pool were closed when we visited but you’re so close to so many it was fine. The room was clean and wonderful. The staff were great, Expedia didn’t pass along our breakfast inclusion and the manager sorted this out immediately with no stress at all to us, (let me stress this was not a hotel issue). They helped us store our bags safely on check in and check out. They also let us sit on the rooftop after check out for a bit before we had to go get our bus. Breakfast was also good, with several options to choose from. Thanks guys, we would come back!

Noise can echo through the building sometimes but not an issue to sleep. The bed is comfortable and linens were very clean. Wifi never worked in my room.
Nicholas Derrrell (10/5): - Soul Beach was the perfect choice for my stay in Playa. It’s was the perfect location to entertainment, food and the beach. The room was amazing and the hotel staff was great also. The only down fall was the rooftop pool and bar closes too earlier they close it at 8pm. The other rooftop around are open late and have live entertainment. But Soul Beach rooftop does have music just need to stay open later. But overall I rate this hotel a 4.5/5!

Andrea (8/5): Nice place - I saw a lot of bad reviews and we thought to give it a try. We were ready for everything. It turned out it was a nice place. Was quiet too. I guess It depends what part of the hotel you are staying. Everyone was kind and nice to us. Only thing I would like to change are the towels. They were clean but very old. The hotel should change the towels. Other than that it’s a nice place. The pool on the top is quite amazing too.

Noemi (10/5): - Wow. I felled in love with this property. The amazing customer service from Aurora, Diego, Mary, Sebastian, Antonio(tono), Juanita. The restaurant opens at 9 AM and I asked them if I could order the food the day before so it could be ready at 9:15 am the next day and they accommodate us with no problem. The rooms are outstanding. I will definitely will come back and recommend this boutique to anyone. The pool is beautiful. The food and the prices are amazing. The only think that I didn't like was that you had to open the shower and let it run for more than 15 minutes to get hot water. It was not a big deal for us.
Ivan (4/5): Cheap with lousy service - I will not be staying here again, Playa Del Carmen has way to many options to have to stay here. You wont find anyone at the front desk in the evenings, no one to assist you with extras like pillows or blankets, and dont expect any hot water. The booking price was super economical but you get that in service as well. Only good things about the hotel is location, very comfortable bed, and the morning door guy. Good luck if you book here!

Ivan (6/5): Bueno pero a medias - El hotel y habitaciones están bien, pero si tiene varios puntos que deja a desear. Se quedaba sin agua constantemente, no te podias bañar ni hacer uso del retrete. El diseño de baño me pareció horrible, la regadera es una puerta de cristal, al parecer esta pensado solo para parejas, si vas con amigos pues no se puede porque esta expuesto a toda la habitacion. Al igual con el retrete, es una puerta de cristal y no se siente nada de privacidad. Las llaves de desconfiguran constantemente y tienes que buscar a alguien que te las reactive

Soul beach advertises as an Adult only spa hotel with a minimum age of 18 for check-in, yet the place is overran with screaming children, and namagement refused to address the problem. Unless you are really into a nightmarish day-care experience on your next vacation, dont stay here.

Sonia (8/5): Great stay, definitely recommend this hotel! - We had a really nice stay here, the hotel was nicer than what we expected. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We also visited the spa which had the hydro pool, sauna steam room, cool pool and area to sit and relax. This was a nice way to unwind in what is a busy area of PDC but please be aware that you have to pay to use these facilities, but well worth it. The location is fantastic, a few minutes from the beach, restaurants and bar but also note that you can hear the loud music from the nearby bars throughout the night which we didn't mind.

The deluxe king room is amazing, luxurious and very clean, the rooftop pool is great and the spa is insta-worthy beautiful and so relaxing! But above all, the staff omg are awesome, warm, welcoming and really friendly - I’m travelling alone and Omar befriended me (and every guest), provided excellent tips and advice, booked me on 2 of the best trips I’ve ever done and even took me to the best taco place in Playa, every hotel should have its own Omar! Faultless service, I never write reviews but would highly recommend staying here! Thank you Omar and all the staff at Soul Beach for an amazing 10 days (meant to be 3 lol)
Curby (8/5): Great value - Very nice stay. The location to 5th ave and the beach is excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is no bar or restaurant on site but many are just a minite walk away. The rooftop pool area is nice. Could use a few updatea but really not an issue. Excellent value for the cost.
Verified traveler (6/5): - Great location & friendly staff. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, it felt like a ghost town. Two of the four floors were closed off and the restaurant and bar were closed. That was kind of disappointing as we choose a place with a bar tor a reason.
James (2/5): - BE WARNED! SCAM! Watch out if you book this property. A shocking disappointment. After pre-booking two rooms a month in advance we arrived after a long day of travel. With zero prior notifications from the hotel, we arrived only to be told that we would not be checked in unless we paid an additional $104 USD PER ROOM on top of the rate we had already pre-paid. Upon further investigation at that moment the rooms were STILL available at the previously booked rate on several popular booking sites for the same and future dates. We even tried to meet half way just to get checked in. Management and front desk staff offered no help resolving the booking issue that was on their end although we had complete reservation and confirmation details outlining the rooms and rates booked online. We spent an hour at the front desk pleading for ANY kind of help or communication to get this dealt with until we were forced to pay in a state of heated exhaustion. My wife and I have been travelling from Canada to different parts of Mexico for many years, including Playa, staying in numerous accommodations and have NEVER been so let down by a hotel and it’s management. There are plenty of similar places to stay to enjoy Playa. Do yourself a favour and choose to stay somewhere else.

Grace (10/5): Worry turned into smiles! - I was worried when we first arrived because they couldn’t find our reservation. The manager Arturo quickly accommodated us and was able to find us a better room than what we initially booked. We’ll definitely be back!

Peter (10/5): Close to everything but quiet - great staff! - Such a great experience. We stayed in the Junior suite with an extremely comfy queen bed. We tipped the housekeepers a couple of dollars a day and they gave us awesome towel scuptures! All the staff were extremely friendly, especially the night manager David. Location is very central 30 steps from the 5th avenue but still quiet, although the music played on the rooftop could be a little better (but this is the same for most hotels on the strip - dance music)

sam (2/5): Stay away! - Had my money stolen from my room safe. Hotel did not take responsibility. The hotel staff is no more than a dozen so every one of them is a suspect to me. It must be team work… The hotel manager apologized and told me that such incidents have happened in the past and there is nothing they can do. My hotel duration was short, I requested NO HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE but the staff came in despite my request! The initial price is attractive but it is bait – it was my most expensive hotel room ever! Look for other hotels in Playa, there are plenty of good ones…
