- Stuart (10/5): Peaceful stay - Friendly and approachable staff excellent location we visited the South mead hospital every day only 15 minutes walk away and bues to and from the hospital where exultant. Fabulous location for shops and plenty of restaurants to choose from. Wellington pub and restaurant are excellent and great breakfast included in the room rate. Nothing more than satisfactory.
- Marianne (10/5): -
- Lindsay (10/5): - Comfortable bed good coffee machine, clean bathroom Stairs a bit smelly

- Wayne (9/5): Convenient location on the Gloucester Rd. Clean and comfortable rooms. - Lovely rooms
- Tim Truesdale (9/5): Lovely traditional pub accommodation, but rooms developed to a really smart and comfortable level, - Nice pub situation, with free parking
Modern, comfortable room.
Good sized bathroom, well appointend. Unfortunately, the hot breakfast facilities were temporarilly out of action - continental breakfast provided was fine, but I had been looking forward to trying the cooked breakfast.
- אורי וובר (9/5): -
- Stewart (9/5): Bed was vey comfy. Room has a small fridge and there was water and milk in it on arrival with coffee facilities also - It was close to family we were visiting Nothing really. It is not a hotel but more a pub/hotel
- Gary (9/5): -
- John (8/5): Epic - Everything Nothing
- Judith (8/5): Good. - Good location as we needed to be near an event, but easy to get a bus from property to centre and elsewhere. Family friendly pub.Food was good, didn’t require breakfast, nice coffee machine , fresh milk and biscuits and good size fridge in room. Live music ended at a reasonable time. Its a pub so don’t expect it to be quiet but disrespectful guests made a lot of noise coming in late around 2 am and our room was next to entrance
- Su Thitsar (7/5): -
- Robert (2/5): DISSAPOINTING - Breakfast on first morning was okay ( HOT BREAKFAST ) but then deteriorated from then on in. A very poor choice of food which was left uncovered in a not to hygienic environment is verry poor.
Hot Breakfast is advertised on a daily basis.
FIRST ROOM Only one light working out of three IN THE BATHROOM
NO BEDSIDE LIGHTS. Very poorly decorated and could do with a good clean. CHANGED ROOMS
SECOND ROOM Slightly better and a bit larger but could do with decorating. Almost everything but the location
- alberto (8/5): -
- Simon (10/5): Welly, welly good - Very friendly staff, food was excellent and room was comfy and spacious. Parking onsite. Even knew some answers to the very popular quiz 🤓 Very minor thing and not something that would stop me staying again - breakfast was continental - would have loved a full English 🤩
- Karen (9/5): Overall excellent facilities and stay. Location ideal for my needs. Would recommend (except parking) - Only had breakfast which was very good. Room was big, comfortable and generous tea facilities. Parking. Spaces very limited and tight getting in and out. Would have been helpful to have wi fi information in room but needed to go to bar to ask staff.
- esprit33 (9/5): Super comfortable and great staff - The bed, the bathroom (especially the shower), the staff Literally the only things were (1) the lack of proper bedside lights, and (2) the aircon was a bit weak and limp
- Jayne (9/5): -
- Pratt (8/5): -
- Pepperell (8/5): - Great room. Spacious and comfortable with a large bathroom.
- Gail (8/5): -
- boleslaw (8/5): -
- Jan (6/5): Rock solid. - Check in was seemless, staff friendly, room clean and well laid out. Drains were smelly.
- Jane (8/5): Nice 2 night break in cosy pub room. - Cosy room and nice and quiet, friendly staff. Decent location for visiting student son living near the Gloucester Rd. Very busy on match day for Bristol Rovers, but parking afterwards was fine.
- Mel (8/5): Very pleasant stay - Comfortable bed. Tea making facilities. Very clean. Room was small.
- Paul (3/5): Let down. Overpriced - Location It was totally overpriced for what you get. The rooms are tired and grubby. Walking to the room I knew I was in trouble when the carpets are grim. The staff, and this is a criticism of management not them, are clueless when it came to the hotel side. Felt very much like a pub and the hotel is an annoying bolt on.
- Björn (8/5): - Ambiente Kein warmes Frühstück ab 7:30
- Jane (8/5): - Location was great for us. Could come and go as we pleased via outside entrance. Room was nicely decorated. Convenient for parking and a nice breakfast in the morning. Room was nicely decorated but a bit tired and small. One of the curtains was missing hooks and there was a lot of dust on the higher surfaces. The toilet in the ensuite wasn't very clean - there was black residue under the rim that appeared in the bowl after flushing.
- Shona (9/5): - The room was clean, towels good and excellent in-room drinks with fresh milk. No beside light option.
- Isabel (9/5): Awesome pub hotel with great value you get for your money - Amazing value for what we paid, toiletries like in really posh hotels, nearby bus stop to get to the city centre
- Deborah (10/5): -
- Anne (9/5): - Very comfortable, staff very polite. Housekeeping lady charming. Very convenient for visiting relative.
- Joy (8/5): - Location, secure parking and accommodation all good. Room decor too dark. Lighting difficult to operate.
- Angela (9/5): - The rooms are lovely, clean and spacious, very comfortable. The water, biscuits and coffee are a nice touch. The toiletries are lovely. The atmosphere is nice and the food and drink selection also good. A little noise on a summers night from outside the pub, but it soon fades away. Always stay here when I come to Bristol.
- Amy (8/5): - Great little find. Staff were lovely and accommodating, room was well-stocked and comfy. Could do with some more lighting on the side exit, bit tricky to get up and down the stairs in the dark.
- Julia Whitehead (8/5): Clean, modern rooms and good value for money - We only stayed one night and we stayed in one of the rooms located outside to the rear of the property. It was a good sized room and was clean, well presented/ modern and had a fridge with bottle of cold water. If I need to stay in a hotel in the area again, I would definitely rebook the Wellington.
Breakfast was good and produce was good quality - if we were staying more than one night it would have been good to have some interesting healthier options with low carbs, but for one night what we did have was very nice.
- Alison (8/5): Confortable and was perfect for the occasion -
- Ines (7/5): The staff were excellent and so helpful and made up for any dissatisfaction. - Breakfast was excellent. Noise in the evening till 11 o’clock. No wardrobes, draws that were awkward to shut, windows difficult to open and close.
- David (10/5): - Staff was great nothing
- Harry (8/5): -
- Serap (10/5): -
- Elena (8/5): - Very convenient location and car parking.
Very friendly and helpful stuff. Thank you! Could not turn the shower a bit cooler but someone probably would regard it as a
- Christine (5/5): -
- Adrian (7/5): - Breakfast was high quality. The room was an outside room which was good for a night. The staff were super friendly and helpful.
- Michelle (10/5): Would highly recommend - The rooms were really nice. Clean, firm bed, nice touches with the decor and surprisingly quiet (due to pub underneath and main road outside).
- Frances (8/5): Good value for comfortable room with good facilities. - Everything I needed was provided. Comfortable room with good facilities. Comfy bed and great shower. Pub downstairs for food and drinks was handy.
- Alan (9/5): - Ideal location for football match at Memorial Stadium. Nice room, comfortable bed and good breakfast. A couple of lights weren't working. Sockets with USB outlets would be nice.
- Paul (9/5): -
- Sarah (9/5): -
- Alex (10/5): Great. Would recommend and have already booked again. - I have stayed here before. Perfect location for us near family. It was super easy to access out of hours and the rooms were great. I could also tell they had made updates in the stairways which improved everything. Everything was great. We were there over Christmas so had no need for breakfast or any other meals. The outside staircase for out of hours access is only difficult for those with accessibility needs but otherwise great.
- paul (8/5): - Great location just were we wanted to be and we like a st Austell pub
- Jonathon (10/5): -
- Ges (9/5): Very comfortable stay - Clean and comfortable room, comfortable bed and good shower. Very good breakfast.
- James (8/5): -
- Nadine (10/5): -
- Marieke (7/5): Prima verblijf hier. Goed bed en douche. - Goed locatie voor mij. Prima bed. Temperatuur kamer te hoog, geen lift
- judith (10/5): Another Excellent Stay - The boutique style room and bathroom. Large fluffy towels. Tray with teas coffee and biscuits. Great breakfast. Lovely helpful staff. Steep stairs may be a problem for some people
- Katie (10/5): -
- Paul (9/5): -
- Suzanne (9/5): Comfortable and cosy. - The room was prefect! Very clean and Comfortable. Had all the necessary comforts to enjoy our stay. We booked two nights at the Wellington and they cleaned and fill up our teas and coffee on both days. The staff were super friendly and definfinley will be staying there again in the future. Free parking in their car park, which was amazing! We could easily take a bus to the centre of town just opposite the pub. it was prefect!
- david (9/5): Good location, value for money, would stay again - Very good location and a good size room which represents value for money Breakfast was good but advertised with a cooked breakfast but on the day only continental breakfast available. The shower wasn’t brilliant.
- Patrick (10/5): Brilliant place to stay. - Friendly staff and lovely food - great steak 🥩,; yum.
- Carl (8/5): Bra och prisvärt! - Bra frukost. Personalen var hjälpsam. Baren var trevlig. Utmärkt läge om man som jag var på plats för att se Bristol Rovers spela fotboll. Det var ganska lyhört på rummet.
- Steven (9/5): - Room was comfortable and clean. Good soundproofing as the bar was very busy and noisy. We were on the top floor and couldn't hear any notice at all. Breakfast was good. Staff were very busy but friendly and helpful. Very steep stairs to the room but as long as you take your time they were ok. No lift, so if you have difficult climbing stairs it may be a challenge.
- James (9/5): -
- Jacqueline (8/5): - Very friendly staff, comfy bed and room and clean bathroom. Easy check in. It was a shame the kitchen was out of action so no hot evening food at all and no cooked breakfast.
- Carole (9/5): Always feel like home from home here - Very attentive staff. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast Nothing
- Tiago (9/5): -
- DJhops (8/5): -
- Lesley (8/5): -
- Dazzlin119 (10/5): Perfect stay in Bristol - The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was a high end shower with a rain shower head. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows had the perfect balance of firmness and softness. I had a very comfortable sleep

- Anita (10/5): - Friendly staff, clean and very comfy. Lovely big bathroom. Really enjoyable stay and we shall return.
- anne (9/5): Thank you to the team at the Wellington - It was just what I wanted/needed. No fuss. I could just come and go seamlessly during my 2 day stay. I am in Bristol frequently and need a a room where I can just relax and work after a busy day. The room was perfect for me. Great welcoming touches like coffee, biscuits and lovely products. Just great for me - so I have no issues. Thanks!
- Graham (9/5): Warm welcome at wellington - Size of room and en suite, friendliness of staff and quality of breakfast Room was too warm on arrival and radiator didnt turn off initially so had to have window open and could hear air conditioning units outside window clicking on. managed too find how to turn rad off and got it cool enough to close window
- Naser (6/5): - No elevator
- Lynn (10/5): - Exceptionally clean rooms
Great food
Friendly staff
10 minutes walk to Southmead hospital
- Lynn (10/5): - Everything - food, rooms and staff
- peter (8/5): clean comfortable and realistically priced - breakfast was very good with a good variety.Room was very clean and had everything you could have wanted.staff were all very helpful and attentive. stairs were very steep and not easy to climb with a small caseclean comfotable
- Edward (9/5): - It was a very comfortable, clean, warm room with a modern, warm bathroom. The food was great, and the staff are very accommodating: when we asked for our room to be a twin instead of a double, they fixed it within 15 minutes. The stairs to the rooms were not ideal, and were very steep, which is not ideal for those who have limited mobility.
- Jill (9/5): -

- Paula (10/5): - Comfortable and quiet Nothing
- Steven (8/5): - Nice modern room. Clean and comfortable with a nice shower. Easy to park. Had to wait a long time before anyone served us at breakfast and then for the food to actually be delivered.
- Matthew (10/5): -
- Jessica (9/5): - Sehr freundliches Personal.
