Guest Reviews
- Sara (10/5): - A hidden gem in the heart of Sille!
Sille Konak Hotel blends history, comfort, and genuine hospitality perfectly. The traditional architecture and tasteful decor make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time, without sacrificing modern comforts. The staff was incredibly warm and attentive, and the breakfast was both delicious and beautifully presented. A peaceful and charming place to stay, highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!
- Shanell (10/5): - Lovely town. Staff were friendly and helpful. Beautiful food and area. Bed was not to my liking but everything else was really quaint and enjoyable! Gorgeous spot!
- Tomas (10/5): Ancient city in nature - Very nice old place. Staff was very kind and helped us with parking which is not easy because entry ti the old city is prohibited. Navigation us really not useful, so parking is necessary in public park. This is ok, but you must know it in advance and not trying to reach hotel by car. Breakfast was amazing.
- chris (10/5): Lovely atmospheric hotel - We had a lovely overnight stay here, the owner is a true gentleman who does everything to make his guests comfortable. The hotel is atmospheric and located in the village centre so close to everything. Comfy beds, large rooms and good air con. Breakfast is huge and superbly presented.
- Pawel (10/5): - All is ok
Sehr schade.
- Barbara (6/5): Nicht so gut…
- Jorick (10/5): Beautifull place - The hotel is a beautifull old building, the rooms are very authentic, also they are very spatious and clean. Breakfast was also the best I've had in Turkey .
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Temizlik ve kalite çok kötü
- Kemal (10/5): Sille Konakta tarihle iç içe Konya seyahati - Aile olarak keyifli tam butik otel ,tarih kokan samimi içten işletmeci ve görevliler, seyahat rotasına eklenmelik.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Berbat
- Greg (10/5): - Property is well represented by photos, very old soo much character, right in the heart of the town, host was charming and very helpful, breakfast was a feast.really happy with our stay
- Handan (8/5): - Otel güzeldi temizlik idare ederdi biraz tozluydu.
Enerjileri cok yuksek.
- Ah huat (10/5): Best in the world - Mr memet was awesome. Very nice place to stay. Good location, nice roomc clean, no words can describe. Very very recommended
- Saedah (10/5): - Its a beautiful antique place that is rustic and has alot of history. The owners have done their best to make the guests feel comfortable during their stay.
- Verified traveler (4/5): What you see is not what you get - I really wish I had read some of the other reviews before booking... After a long drive down from Cappadocia, we were looking forward to spending the night in this 'boutique hotel'. The first thing we noticed was that there was no hotel-own parking as claimed. In fact, the pedestrian zone in front of the hotel is blocked for cars. Public parking is maybe 150m away, which is not too bad, but still not ideal to drag your luggage on cobbled stones. The young man who welcomed us first said he'd help us with the luggage and parking but then said he'd not 'sacrifice and leave his hotel for anyone' - at least that's how Google translated it. While showing us up to our room, he never stopped watching his TikToks. We were shocked when we arrived at the room, as it was very far from the advertised pictures (we had booked the triple room)and really dirty. We asked if we could change for a cleaner room, but the other room that we were shown was not much better either. In terms of cleanliness, just look at the pictures. I could not upload that many, but there were also dirty towels and stained sheets. There was a dirty ash tray in our non-smoking room. There were no TV or minibar. The place could be so much nicer, but it is just really neglected. And if you want to drown your sorrow about the room in a glass of wine, I don't think you'll find one in Sille...
On a positive note: The next morning, a nice lady made a nice breakfast for us. The place is definitely not worth 75 Euros. Avoid!
- YASIN ABDULLATIF (10/5): Bir daha gider miyiz? Gideriz. - Öyle sanıyorum ki aile bireyleri tarafından işletiliyor.Otelle ilgilenen genç arkadaşımız oldukça ilgili, her ihtiyacımızla yakından ilgilendi sağ olsun.
Her konuda memnun ayrıldık. Şiddetle tavsiye ediyoruz. Hizmet ve misafirperverliklerinden dolayı teşekkür ediyoruz.
- phillip (10/5): Friendly and excellent value - We only stayed for one night, but would have happily stayed longer. The town is beautiful with a few things to do. Konya isn't far if you want a larger selection of activities. The hotel was clean, the staff are very friendly and attentive and the breakfast was fantastic. Some of the previous reviews seemed very unfair, we thought it was excellent value and would recommend staying here. I would recommend parking in the town carpark, it's a short walk to the hotel.
- Regina (4/5): - This property is good for a 1 night stay. Service was amazing but the room was old and untidy, the shower was leaking so having a nice shower was impossible. The view and the place around was nice. But wouldn’t stay more than a night.
- Kay (8/5): - This property is not for everyone; it was interesting to us though. I would describe it as a bit old world crude, basically a rented room in a very old building. There was a bed, small table, fridge and bathroom. The shower was just a faucet with hose on the wall, no stall. We found it fascinating though and made the best of it. The town was very cool to explore; so much history in the area. The owners spoke no English, but the young staff communicated well via phone translator, which worked fine. The people were kind and helpful; and the food was delicious. We enjoyed the experience. Parking is not onsite. You have to park a block or so away; however, once you check-in, they help you get your bags to the building. 😊
- ESREF (10/5): Muhteşem. - Mükemmel. İşletme sahibi ve çalışanlar her konuda yardımcı oluyor. Kahvaltı güzel.
- Max (2/5): Borats B&B - Arrived no on site parking had to walk some distance to find the place no signage two guys carried our cases, I can’t understand why the owner didn’t let us in the private road to unload the luggage even though there are traffic bollards that come out of the road his car was parked outside??
We were showed to our room on the first floor my first impression was “ I didn’t know Borat had a b&b” you walk through the “restaurant “ loosely speaking a store room for stock FOOD! and general tat all the tables and chairs stacked on top of one another then into another corridor to the stairs even more dusty tat stacked everywhere. The guy
said the building was 400 years old and I reckon that’s the last time it was cleaned throughly!
Room was like a spare room in a mad aunties house with more tat everywhere fold down bed in the hovel of a bathroom ( looked like something from lord of the rings” and carpet under the bed and very grubby!
Bed belongs in a stable, bedsheet of sorts like sandpaper the most uncomfortable nights sleep ever! The noise outside until late was quite bad even with the door shut!
My advice to the owner clean up, sort things into some order or charge what the place is worth we’ll under half! There’s far better properties locally for not much more money! Also avoided breakfast and got on the road didn’t fancy eating there.
The place is mo more than a hostel, AVOID!!!!
- Majd aldin (8/5): - very friendly and helpful crow
The hotel is distinguished by its interior design
wonderful location
It needs better management methods
- 812claudiaj (2/5): Terrible should not even be in here - This place is not the place in the pictures. I walked into my room and walked right back out. The bed is worn through and old the furniture is junk and not antik. The bathroom did not even have a shower curtain or a shower stall. The smells awful and the place is dark as a cave.
- Donna (10/5): - A wonderful place to stay. Comfortable, very pleasant staff; excellent dinner, breakfast. A beautiful village. We were looking for a quiet place to stop for a night, on our way from Cappadocia to Pamukkale. This village was mentioned in Lonely Planet Turkey guidebook; so glad we stopped here. Parking is free, but you have to walk to hotel. There are no cars in village (so nice). Highly recommend, if you're in the vicinity. One day/night is enough. This small hotel is recommended.
- asabbatical (10/5): Biggest breakfast ever - The host is an adorable guy who speaks well English and cares a greatly about his guests. He made us a good price including a local dinner and the biggest breakfast we have ever had! He gently gave us 3 hours to eat it but we could not finish it. From our room, we had a perfect view on the main pedestrian road of the town. This is expectedly beautiful when the sun goes down and all the visitors stroll around.
- Neena (10/5): stay at a 300 year old house - The room is in a 300 year old house. It's comfortable, with a few idiosyncrasies associated with being old. There is a cafe and an adjoining restaurant associated with the restaurant. When we arrived, we were served tea and hot Saç Böreği. Sometimes, they have live music. Wonderful breakfast in beautiful surroundings. The hotel is a few kms away from the heart of Konya in the beautiful town of Sille. The ever smiling owner is extremely gracious and polite and made us feel very welcome.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The antique furniture and pictutes, the private balcony were lovely.
- Monica (8/5): - Staff molto carino e disponibile. Ottime colazioni.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Words cannot express how incredible this property is! 366 years of coolness that;'s been converted to a 4 bedroom hotel. The staff upgraded us from our two twin bed room to a deluxe room with a huge bathroom and huge balcony overlooking the street! The owner and staff were so generous and kind and we enjoyed chatting with them. Be prepared to stay up late if you are street side- they cafe comes alive around 9pm and becomes quiet around 1am. This is part of the charm as you can hear tea glasses clinking, children playing and people laughing! We slept with the windows open so as not to miss this. Breakfast the next day was incredible!!! About 20 little bowls of olives, cheeses, spreads, and more all served with eggs, bread and tea. We highly recommend Sille Konak Hotel!
- Bahareh (10/5): Cok huzur verici - Basta mehmet bey'e tesekkurler.
- Carol11559 (2/5): Go else where - The hotel was fine but service was woefully lacking. We could not get a straight answer and were given conflicting information. It was just not a pleasant experience. Go elsewhere and save yourself the frustration
- elizabethn669 (2/5): Disappointment - My mother and I stayed at this hotel for one night. The afternoon we checked in, we asked the owner what time breakfast was. He told us breakfast is between 7am and 10am. The next morning, we came down around 7:10am and the hotel was deserted. We called out hello and one of the employees must have woken up because he came downstairs. We told him we were ready for breakfast but he said no, we needed to wait until 8am. We said okay, and read our books while we waited. The employee went back upstairs to his room. Once it was 8am we called out hello but not a single person was in the hotel. Eventually a woman came from the sidewalk who must work at the hotel. We told her we wanted breakfast. She banged on the walls to get the attention of the employee we saw at 7am. He had clearly been sleeping upstairs and slowly made his way down. We told him it was past 8am and we would like our breakfast. He said we would need to wait again for it. We told him that no, we had already waited over at hour and needed to leave. I asked if he could call the owner for me. I spoke with the owner who said we would need to wait 30 more minutes for breakfast. At that point we were so frustrated we just left and bought our own breakfast. I would not recommend this hotel.
- 211ashr (10/5): Breakfast in heaven - We just had breakfast here ... it is amazing the best food ... the honey is fresh the cheese, just great right next to the stream didn't stay in the hotel but it looks good boutique the village is also very quite and romantic maybe for a one or two night stay
- ppcfan (10/5): So lucky to happen upon this hotel - We only ended up here because the situation in eastern Turkey was getting a bit warm so we went to Konya instead at the last minute. Would dearly love to go back. Muhammet (a young relative of the owner) borrowed a car and took us to Konya and also all round the village of Sille giving us the history of each individual building. His excellent English and wonderful sense of humour meant we had two very happy days and found sights we would never otherwise have done. He really (and literally) went the extra mile. The hotel has been so beautifully restored but has kept many of the everyday items used in the house over the years. This did not stop us having a top class modern bathroom whilst occupying a truly lovely traditional room with large balcony and a view of the cave dwellings. And the breakfast ...... ! Served in a restaurant a few minutes walk away it is without doubt the best breakfast in Turkey. The dinner too was excellent. We were so thoroughly spoilt. If only we had been able to stay longer.
- lindacN5765QO (8/5): Good hotel if you stay near Konya - Authentic hotel in the little village of sille. Nice village recently restaured in the ottoman style with the typical konak house.
Large triple room. Clean. You can enjoy the Terrace the evening To have a tea.
The matress may need To be changed (Too soft).
Their restaurant is excellent specialy the gorgeous and enormous typical breakfast.
Sille is a Nice village about 15 mn from Konya To visit with troglodyte.
- PureCalifornia (10/5): Delightful Boutique Hotel, a True Hidden Gem - 3 miles away from Konya this is truly the best spot to stay during your visit to Konya if you can manage to book one of the four rooms for yourself.
The hotel itself is an ancient Greek Mansion renovated to absolute perfection.
Very affordable, perfect and clean rooms with the views of historical caves across your window, fast working free wifi, fantastic tea & coffee bar, perfect heating & cooling within the rooms, 24/7 attentive staff, serene and peaceful surrounding, fresh air, truly lovely.
Make sure to stay here !
- IDM_11 (8/5): Step back in time in this wonderful alternative to the city of Konya - Beautifully restored hotel. The owner Zeke and his mother are wonderful hosts. We stayed in the suite with balcony and it was really perfect. Gave it four stars instead of five - only because it lacked air conditioning...but it's so cool here at night, we didn't miss it. Incredible breakfast down the street is included in the room rate.
