- Jasmine (6/5): - Budget property in a good location. There is a nightclub across the road however and a clock tower that rings every hour. The nightclub was open until 2am, which made it difficult to sleep. Staff also judgemental when we requested additional toilet paper.
- Andrew (2/5): - No slippers for guest and flooring is so dirty. No water and need to go level 1. Same as wifi. Very low class
- Luqman (10/5): - I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. My group booked this place as we arrived at Ipoh by train and it was within a 10-minute walking distance. The hotel is also surrounded with eateries and convenience stores.
- Dr. Sudhir Kumar (2/5): Bad bad stay - The room I stayed had a weird sanitation smell to it, the iron board was small (not a problem) but it was dirty with full of burnt marks, and the iron was spoilt and burnt my pants. Got in touch with the manager, that mentioned as it is a complimentary service by the hotel that it’s the guest’s responsibility to make sure the iron was working properly. I was taken aback with such comments and I deem this as unacceptable reason for something that I don’t own which is defective. I would not recommend this hotel. Zero stars if there was the option.
- frederic (8/5): Moderne et bien situé - Hôtel propre, moderne et très bien situé. Tout est très bien sauf l'accueil pas chaleureux,. Une jeune fille qui répète "I don't know" sans sourire et lente. J'espère juste qu'elle saura évoluer. La petite bouteille d'eau payante, c'est limite.. On avait l'habitude de la gratuité et à un petit frigo à ce prix là.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Location great hotel so-so - Location: very good, just across the road from Concubine Lane. Easy walking access to a variety of food and shops. Everything else use grab and normally MYR5 or under. Bathroom: poorly designed. A rain shower was installed without a wall or curtain separating shower section from rest of toilet, so everything gets wet- pool of water spreads nearly to the toilet door. No hooks for clothes, only a towel rail. Room wasn't cleaned on first 2 days but apparently there is such a service upon if you ask.

Be aware that this is a special kind of hotel: very basic services (just for sleeping), there are no windows in the rooms and the room is very small, to walk is difficult. Service is good. It is very well located.

Very small but clean rooms, brick/cement, but good air con and decent sized very modern private bathrooms. Good location very close to the train station, and a very quick walk to the trendy Kong Heng Market building and the Tourist Info centre as well. Staff was helpful, english speaking.

- Aki (6/5): Great location and staff. Facilities are :-/ - I loved the location of this hotel. Close to Ipoh station, and close to many wall arts and other sightseeing places in the old town of Ipoh. The staff were friendly, and kind enough to keep my big baggage for 6-7 hours after checking out. The decoration in the building was cute. I regret to say that the facilities need improvement. First, the boiler in my room did not properly work. I had to take a cold shower. I hope this is improved before another guest uses the same room. Second, the wall of my room was a bit thin. I could not sleep well due to voices of the guests in the next room. Considering the price, overall, I think my stay was good enough.

The room was quite small and our main complaint was that there was no where to open our suitcase except on the bed. Also, there was a kettle but no tea or coffee supplied. The young lady on the desk was extremely pleasant and helpful.

However my friend’s room was humid, and mine was near the kitchen exhaust of the restaurant next door. There is no daily housekeeping

It was difficult to find breakfast near by on Saturday morning (many coffee shops seemed to open around 11am..). The room was molded and without windows so that could be better.

- sydneysider (10/5): A Classy Boutique Hotel - I read some great reviews about this new hotel and decided to give it a go. And it hasn't disappoint me. It is located right in the bustling part of the city. It is just minutes away from all the city attractions and art murals. Upon entering the hotel lobby, I can hear the classic jazz music playing in the background. Juxtaposed with the unique interior design, this hotel has definitely set itself apart from the rest of the hotels I have visited. The room is spotless and adequate. The bed is extremely comfortable and the spacious bathroom is clean and bright. The wifi connection is strong and it helps with my work, not to mention the room is very quiet as well. Ipoh is still new with its tourism business and lack of information. However, the friendly staff has recommended me some great places to visit and where to look for local delicacies. They also have some fantastic day tour packages in reasonable price. If you are bored in the room, you can always hang out at the lobby. Listening to some great jazz music and chat with other visitors from all over the world.

The cleanliness is top notch and we were in love with the minimalist concept. Located in town and close to most of the popular eating places (10-15 mins drive). Overall, enjoyed our stay.

On top of that, the hotel could not find our booking and told us there was no such booking. They were reluctant to even trace the booking. Only after we called Hotel.com did the room booking got sorted out.
- Koh (6/5): Walking distance to restaurants - Staff is friendly. Hotel is walking distance to restaurants. Room is small, toilet and room same size. Only able to store things near the toilet table. Limited units of hair dryer and kettle available upon request, however no tea cup is provided for usage of the hot water. Hot water heater in the shower is not working properly, depending on your luck. Even after the staff fixed it, it comes and goes. Suitable for backpackers. Public parkings only.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Pretty hotel but no hot water! - Took very long to check us in. We reached the hotel at about 8.30pm and had to wait till 9pm. They kept asking us which website we booked from, and said they can't seem to retrieve our booking. We then decided to head out for dinner first while they settle the check-in, but upon our return at 12am, they were still not ready and wanted to charge us the walk-in rate when we clearly have the price listed on our booking confirmation which we have handed over to them! Upon check-in, the shower had no hot water and had to ask the front desk to turn on the heater as we're unable to do so from the room. Even after the front desk turned on the heater, we were told we have to wait for 15-20 minutes before the water would warm up. However, even after waiting for 15-20 minutes, the water was still cold! No tea/coffee or water boiler at all. Only 2 bottles of water provided. Only good things are the location of the hotel and its aesthetics.
