Flavio (8/5): Sede hotel. - Difficoltà a trovare l’hotel, neppure con google map. Nel sito Expedia non era riportato che si trattava di hotel gallegiante sul fiume. Colazione mediocre per il numero di stelle. Il cappuccino è a pagamento. Sorpresa negativa anche per il prezzo. Acquistato 2 settimana prima ho pagato un prezzo superiore rispetto a quello riportato il giorno del mio arrivo.
Verified traveler (6/5): Difficult to find and difficult to reach,no parkin - The rooms or cabins were much smaller than the pictures indicated with tiny bathroom. I was on the main deck level with the path through the park and had runners tramps etc passing non stop.

Jens (8/5): Schöne Alternative zum normalen Hotel - Übernachten auf einem Schiff ist ja nicht ganz alltäglich, umso positiver war wirklich die Qualität, Ausstattung, Sauberkeit und der Komfort an Board. Die Größe der Zimmer passt, es ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Tolles Badezimmer mit großer Dusche und allen Mittelchen, allerdings ohne eigene Heizung. Nette und vor allem große Hotelbar. Frühstück groß und international, wie in jedem anderen Hotel auch, inkl. Sekt & co.
Verified traveler (4/5): Für Geschäftsreisen nicht zu empfehlen - Zimmer war bei Ankunft nicht gemacht und total verdreckt; Dämmung des Schiffs ist schlecht; man hört praktisch jedes Wort von aussen, Oropax ist Pflicht; Bediensteten sind größtenteils bemüht. Für Renter, die im Sommer den Rhein herumgurken ist das evtl. akzeptabel, für Reisende, die am nächsten Tag arbeiten sollen, eher nicht.

Did not know it was a boat, but everything turned out fine. hotels.com had issues with my reservation, but hotel staff were able to fix everything. Quiet location along the river. The standard rooms are very small, but since i just needed a bed, i was very happy.
Verified traveler (6/5): Ein Lichtblick, leider auch mit Schatten - Es war das erste Mal, dass wir auf einem Schiff übernachtet haben. Das Einchecken war grundsätzlich problemlos, leider war nur eine Konversation in Englisch möglich. Keine Parkplätze in der Nähe zum Einchecken. Dem Personal waren die in der Nähe befindlichen Parkhäuser nicht bekannt bzw. auch nicht, dass einige davon Sonntags geschlossen sind. Eine Suche nach einem geeigneten Parkplatz war ein echter Horror. Absoluter Negativpunkt war, dass uns beim Einchecken mitgeteilt wurde, dass wir am Sonntag morgen um 08:30 Uhr ausgecheckt haben müssen, da das Schiff dann weiterfährt. Im Internet war Check-Out bis 11:00 angegeben. Auf unseren Einwand hin gabe es keine Entschuldigungen o. ä.. Es wurde nur mit der Schulter gezuckt. Ansonsten hatten wir ein sehr schönes und sauberes Zimmer. Auch das Bett war top. Das Angebot am Frühstücksbuffet war sehr umfangreich. Es hat uns gut geschmeckt. Wenn die Begleitumstände nicht gewesen wären, hätten wir eine sehr gute Bewertung abgegeben.
N. Liebmann (2/5): Achtung, hierbei handelt es sich um ein Schiff! - es kam nicht zum Aufenthalt. wir hatten eine Nacht auf diesem Schiff gebucht, wobei wir noch nicht mal eindeutig in der Beschreibung gesehen haben dass es ein Schiff ist. Als wir angereist sind, stand das Schiff nicht an der angegebenen Adresse und wir sind wie blöde in Frankfurt herum geirrt . Nach einem Anruf bei unserem Veranstalter hotelscom, wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass uns der Hotelmanager angeblich per E-Mail angeschrieben hätte uns Bescheid gesagt hätte dass das Schiff nicht im Hafen liegt zu der Zeit. Wir haben nichts erhalten, auch in unserem Spam-Ordner war keine E-Mail. Ich frage mich, warum ein Veranstalter dieses Schiff anbietet und eine Buchungsbestätigung schickt, wenn es nicht im Hafen liegt. Es war eine große Aufregung! Letztendlich wurde es aber gelöst durch eine freundliche Mitarbeiterin und wir konnten in einem anderen Hotel die Nacht verbringen.
Sanford (4/5): Nice boat and location, but everything was broken - Unlike most reviews, I knew this was a boat beforehand. It was easy to find and not too hard to get from the street to the boat. Some taxis will even pick you up right on the water if they know how to get there. The boat and rooms were very nice and the breakfast was good as well. The stay itself was not ideal though. The Wifi was awful. It constantly kicked you off and even when using it, it was slow. Made it impossible to do work. Every time we mentioned it, someone said they would have the technician fix it. It never got any better though. Additionally, there was a full day where the whole boat did not have any hot water. We were there during the end of November, so this made for very miserable showers. They did fix it the next day though and there were issues after that. Lastly, the heat on the boat was not very good either. The hallways were very cold and at one point the heaters in the rooms also stopped working. So, yet another thing that needed fixing during a 3 days stay. In short, very nice place and great location, but nothing seemed to work when we needed it.
Paula (10/5): Sehr schönes Schiff auf dem Main. - Die Kabinen sind sehr großzügig gehalten und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Bad ebenso. Dusche ist erstaunlich groß. Wunderbare Produkte von Rituals stehen im Bad bereit. Dazu ein gutes Angebot an Kaffee und Tee mit Wasserkocher auf jedem Zimmer. Frühstück sehr gut. Es mangelte an nichts. Hervorzuheben ist der Service im Restaurant. Viele Angestellte waren sofort zur Stelle um Geschirr abzuräumen oder Kaffee nachzuschenken. Der einzige Wermutstropfen war, dass wir schon um 8:30 Uhr auschecken mussten, da das Schiff bereits um 8:45 Uhrabgelgt hat obwohl in der Beschreibung Checkout nis 11 Uhr angegen war. Positiv allerdings war, dass wir die Buchung kostenfrei hätten stornieren können aufgrund dieser Änderung. Aber wir haben dies nicht gemacht. Zum Glück. Es war herrlich.

Had to check out after the early after the first night of a 2 night stay, as we woke up to find a note under our door telling us we had to check out by 8:30 on a Sunday morning, which was not told about when booking, front desk very unhelpful when we requested a refund and had to go to Hotels.com for the refund.
lina (8/5): - Zimmer waren sehr kalt vorallem im Badezimmer ist das wirklich unangenehm. (Im Badezimmer befindet sich keine Heizung). Ansonsten ist das Schiff sehr schön eingerichtet und sauber. Wichtig ist vorallem für ältere Menschen, das ausser dem Leiter des Schiffes keiner deutsch spricht. Englisch sprechen aber alle sehr gut. Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Sehr lecker und viel Auswahl.
K (2/5): It's not a hotel, it's a boat. - We were not aware that this was a boat when we booked but once we realised we thought it might be quite an interesting place to stay. The novelty wore off pretty quickly. The rooms are tiny, as you'd expect of a cabin, and so were the beds and pillows. Breakfast was only served until 9.30 despite the website stating 10am. We were not informed of this until we tried to sit down for breakfast at 9.40. The tv and Wi-Fi did not work and the bathroom flooded with every shower. The worst part of our stay was the fact that we were asked to check out by 8.30 on our last day as they needed to move the boat. Not ideal given our flight was not departing until 8pm and we had nowhere to store our luggage.
Pekka (8/5): Laiva - Kyseessä on jokilaiva, se ei tule oikeastaan missään esille nettisivuilla. Laiva on laiva ja huoneet on hyttejä, joskin siistejä sellaisia. Lämmitys ja lämpimän veden saanti takkusi välillä, mutta henkilökunta yritti parhaansa. Perus aamiainen, pienehköt mutta siistit hytit, kapeat käytävät. Siistiä ja hiljaista, tavallaan ihan hauska vaihtoehto perushotellin vaihtoehdoksi.

Wendy (10/5): Definately worth a try! - I went for the Christmas markets and wanted to stay somewhere nearby. Why stay in a standard hotel when you stay onboard a boat. I cam honestly say that the boat was spotless, the staff really friendly and helpful too. The breakfast was hot, lovely and fresh. I would definately stay again. The bar area was very homely, it was lovely to sit in here at the end of the day and relax with a drink

Sharon (10/5): Great stay - We had a great time while we stayed on the William Shakespeare’s boat. Staff were helpful and the accommodation and breakfast were great. The only disappointment for use was we could not eat in the restaurant because there was a function on Friday and closed Saturday. Also we had to leave the boat by 8.30am on Sunday morning because they were moving the boat, which was not good for us as we were only flying home later on that day, so we had to walk round killing time. Overall we did have a great stay and would stay again.

Verified traveler (8/5): Unglücklich gelaufen - Eigentlich gibt es nicht viel auszusetzen und es war wirklich schön und spannend mal auf einem Schiff zu übernachten. Als wir einchecken wollten wurde uns allerdings mitgeteilt, dass das Schiff am nächsten morgen um 8:45 ablegen würde und wir somit um 8:30 spätestens das Schiff verlassen müssen. Dass diese Informationen erst beim Einchecken mitgeteilt wurden und zudem kein Ausgleich (finanzieller o.Ä. Art) gegeben wurde, war sehr schade. Ansonsten war der Aufenthalt angenehm.

Verified traveler (10/5): 非常舒服的房間 - 我們住的是街景的商務套房，房間算大的，且有個小陽台，整體而言是個非常好的經驗，房間相當舒服，早餐也很棒，不會有任何搖晃的感覺。離火車站很近，走路大約15分鐘內可到。如果下次還有機會會再來住這邊！

Anne (10/5): Mal etwas anderes - Ein sehr schönes und gepflegtes Hotel mit Toplsge zum Stadtzentrum. Wir waren sehr begeistert und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Zimmer waren sehr durchdacht ausgestattet und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Genial der Ausblick vom Zimmer auf den Main. Das Frühstück war auch sehr vielfältig mit Sekt und frischen Omletts.
Dagmar (10/5): Tolle Alternative zum "normalen Hotel" - Ein schönes Schiff als Alternative zum Hotel. Herrlich wenn man Wasserseite gebucht hat und die herrliche Aussicht geniessen kann. Frühstück sehr lecker. Das Deck lädt zum Verweilen ein , kleiner Urlaub vom Geschäftsalltag.

Trevor (10/5): Knew it was a boat, loved it. - Knowing it was a boat really did help. Was very relaxing, staff were fantastic. Was not the busy season. The breakfast in the dining area was great, very surreal looking over the water at the water level as you're having breakfast. A great welcome to Germany moment. Wifi was less than desirable, difficult to log in to and then rather unstable, but was still able to update facebook and check emails using it.
Reza (6/5): Not a Hotel - It was ok, it was not mentioned its a ship while booking and also it was advertised as 5 stars which it was not even close. Overall, if you don't care about small rooms (because it's a ship), and being on a ship, it was ok. The reception seems like does not have any experience of being a reception, again can't complain because it wasn't a hotel, however, beside reception that was not helpful at all and rude there was another guy (I guess some sort of a manager) he was great, when he heard my conversation with reception that I have a problem with my room noise he immediately made sure that they will change my room to a better room thanks to him.
virginia (10/5): On the blustery beautiful water - Even though our stay was short, the manager was fantastic. Upgraded our room. Personally showed us ship features, very nice clean beautiful ship. Food was excellent too. First class experience!
Ann (10/5): Wonderful boat, lovely location - We booked this hotel/boat during a conference in Frankfurt. Knowing well that it was a boat we were going to be staying on. We upgraded to a suite type room and we were not disappointed. What a lovely surprise. From checkin to checkout, the staff were great. We even asked to switch to the river side of the boat, and they accommodated us. We had a balcony, and while it was winter in Frankfurt, it was lovely to stand on the balcony overlooking the city and river. The room/suite was very large, and lovely bathroom. We ate breakfast each morning, and the have a huge selection of food. They should open a hotel. They know what they're doing!
Verified traveler (4/5): Warning: ITS A BOAT THAT NOT ALWAYS THERE - WARNING: it's a boat. The boat it self was amazing and very valuable for the money. BUT, I didn't know it's a boat, no where in the reservation it was saying that, I was looking for an hotel that wasn't in the specific address. Had to ask people on the street if they know it (a tourist without any access to internet) and only a random bartender in a close by restaurant told me that it's a boat and THAT SHES NOT HERE RIGHT NOW.(I was the 15th person coming to ask about this hotel) No one knew or had an option to find out when they're coming back. Instead of showering after my flight, I had to stay out with all my bags on me(!) and walk around the city in the rain from 1pm to 6:30pm. IRRESPONSIBLE! From the other side: The stuff was nice, the room was clean and comfortable, hot water, great view, and nice breakfast. Really bad wifi. I'll recommend it if they'll stop shipping without any warning.
rebecca (8/5): - had 2 problems with commumication one was they had to leave port to go get water and was an hour late getting back so my wife went to go to a store to wait not knowing not to go to the other side of a bridge because it was a heavy drug area and stepped on a needle and have to spent most of the night getting treated for HIV that cost $2,000.00. I'm not blaming the boat hotel but I wish they had informed us of the neighborhood. they carried her to the doctor and hospital to get her care.

Karen (10/5): Room on a yacht! - You can't beat the view and location is also pretty great. I had a bit of trouble finding this hotel since I had no idea it was a boat. When I called the hotel their description was "behind the intercontinental hotel" and google maps showed it was in the water.. which was correct! Once I was there, the room was great, it was a little small but what do you expect from a boat cabin. Everything was very clean and all the amenities. I would definitely stay there again.

The room was small but clean and had all the amenities I needed. Breakfast in the morning was a typical breakfast of meats, cheese, bread rolls and fruit. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at this hotel as a pleasant change when traveling on business. I look forward to staying on the William Shakespeare the next time I'm in Frankfurt.

Brian (10/5): Always wanted to be on a river boat. Amazing. - Always wanted to cruise on a river boat. What a great way to see what one looks like. It was a great experience (and inexpensive). If you're used to cruising you will love it. Nice comfy room although slightly small from a ocean vessel standpoint but this a river boat. Bar and restaurant areas are comfortable and cozy. The bar opens at 5pm but the staff opened up early for me when they saw me wanting a drink. The drinks are reasonable (beer around 4 euro). Very nice and accommodating staff/servers as with any cruise line. Free breakfast was awesome. I would say as good or better than any other hotel free buffet breakfast. I would highly recommend this boat/hotel.
Lloyd (8/5): Very impressive - Once you're on the boat you'd never know that it was a boat! This is a very comfortable, spacious hotel with marble baths, strong showers, a fitness room, great breakfast, and a nice bar/restaurant.

Wifi was terrible - couldn't get anything done on it. I wasn't impressed with the restaurant but many other places to choose from. The location wasn't correct on the hotels.com site either.

HYO JUN (6/5): It's a ship - map on wed site was incorrect. Hard to get the ship bcuz sometimes it move. Room was small and worst bed. Room maintanance was not clean. Staffs were friendly and helpful.
Verified traveler (8/5): Spend a night in an upscale boutique boat hotel - The Shakespeare is a river cruise boat docked on the Main River in Frankfurt , about a 15 min. walk to the main train station. Rooms are comfy and very clean. The boat hotel is open till March, when it sets sail again eastbound towards the Danube river. Features a bar and wifi and breakfast .
Verified traveler (10/5): Riverboat hotel - A very pleasant alternative to a traditional hotel. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were helpful. The room was very clean and the décor was up to date. The room was adequate in size for one person but two people in a room may find that there was not enough space to accommodate their luggage. The hotel was located about 10 minutes on foot from the main train station.
Mike (10/5): very nice river view - stuff are very friendly and the river view is special. rooms are very small but shower is big. also breakfast is rich and good. over all it was a different stay since its a boat but we loved it
Verified traveler (6/5): No window to open - If you have to stay this ship, do not choose comfort room(cheapeast one). There is no window to open. There is window but you cant see nothing through the window. It was first floor, located bottom part of ship and close to the marina.
Verified traveler (4/5): Poor, dilapidated condition - This hotel should be a necessary evil only if you cannot find anything in the convenient Bahnhof area. Unfortunately, choices are limited and prices are sky high during major trade shows and this hotel was a "low cost" option, costing some $250 a night for a room that normally sells for under $100. It could be worth $75 as expectations would be suitably low.
Mohsin (2/5): - It was a very poor experience to say the least. The hotel is actually a small size cruise ship docked somewhere in Frankfurt. The day I arrived they had to change there location for some security reason and I spent 50 Euros looking for the Hotel via Taxi calling them and getting directions. Finally I found the hotel and was totally disgusted but it was late and I was in no mood to spend another two hours looking for a hotel in minus 5 degrees. There were total of a dozen guests staying there. There is no restaurant in the hotel and the rooms are very very small something you would expect in a cruise ship but this particular ship was at a dock in a shipyard type of place with my window view of a wall 12 inches away from the window. No close by shops or cafes. I was highly disappointed. The rooms are really really small. The staff was very apologetic due to the security situation that made them move from their previous location. They did not contact me about the change of location so I was really disappointed overall.

Verified traveler (10/5): - It would've been nice to know that I was looking for a boat when I was walking around with all my luggage at night; the description didn't at all make that clear and surely I'm not the only one who didn't catch that. Otherwise the staff were very courteous, everything is very well maintained, the only negative is that the standard rooms can feel a bit cramped if you have a fair amount of luggage with you, but that isn't enough to stop me from wanting to stay again.

Nellie (10/5): Awesome ship-hotel! - This hotel is the best place to enjoy Frankfurt am Main. It is very close to the Christmas markets, there is public transportation nearby and a nice restaurant. The hotel/ship has a very good restaurant itself as well. Our cabin was with river view. It was very romantic and beautiful. The cabin was very clean and has everything you need. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They speak perfect English. The morning breakfast that was included was very good and delicious with a lot of choices. My overall experience in the hotel was excellent. I definitely recommend it.
Verified traveler (6/5): Hotel on the Water - So it's important to note that this hotel is in fact a CruiseShip that is docked for Winter. Expedia don't say anywhere on their sight that this is the case and came as quite a surprise when my taxi driver had no idea why the hotel came with no street number. However the staff were amazing and the facilities were wonderful. The location was so convenient and being right on the river made getting to the main parts of town extremely quick and easy. Rooms were comfortable and very clean. The ship offers great breakfast but sadly doesn't offer any dinner. The bar and lounge area is really nice to enjoy a drink in. I would recommend this to anyone looking for good value for money. I just wished the company was more honest on Expedia about it being a cruise ship.
