• Paul (7/5): - The bed was comfortable. It was easy accessible to the hotel. I had a meal at the bistro which I enjoyed, and the meal prices were good value for money. The furnishings and the bathroom were outdated. The laminate around the vanity needs replacing. The whole bathroom needs an upgrade.

There wasn't an information booklet in the room like most motel rooms giving you information about different things. ie, where the washing machine was, rubbish bins etc. They did have an information booklet with the menu and what was on in the hotel.

Signing award Fixed my aircon straight away Olly Is gr8 Staff happy There was a cleaner issue, I asked for sugar in the late after.. she abused me.i complained and staff responded straight away ! Thank them. Toilet VERY low for me. Aircon in room wasnt working and Andrew(contractor) fixed it. I was hot for 2 .Amazing resonsiveness

• Anthony (8/5): Always a good sleep here. - It's our go-to stop to make the regular Brisbane to Mackay trip a little calmer with kids. We love the location and the beds are comfy. The only thing we dislike is the light that comes through the window at night. We like having a black room but sometimes can't stop the light coming through.

• Julie (8/5): Perfect for the overnight stay at a good price. - The staff were professional, courteous, helpful, cheerful and just lovely, from Reception, to the dining room, bar and kitchen. The staff could not be faulted. Also, one of the best cheeseburgers I have had in a long time. The motel is older and naturally the fittings are well used. However, the room was clean, the air conditioner worked well, the bed was comfortable and the shower water was hot.

• Johannes (6/5): Great Midway Stop - do not expect any 3 star quality - it is just what that is.... a midway sleepove - Great midway stop and comfy beds if you only want to sleep over for your next road trip. It is not modern or fitted out in any way - do not expect anything close to an hotel quality - it is just a great bed - a good hot shower Bathroom facilities could be better patched up - walls was having a patch here and there and tiles was not up to scratch. The room was otherwise cleaned and above expectation the matrasses was offering a lot of support, which was really great.

• Casey (1/5): The staff were wonderful,but unfortunately this accomodation wasn't for us! - We arrived after a huge day of driving with our family. The lady at reception was lovely. She gave us directions to our room, which woyld be on ground level, so I was very relieved of that as it was raining& we just wanted to get out of the car& straight into our room. When I drove to our directed area, I was a bit confused to find out that none of the numbers matched our room number. We had travelled in 2 cars, so my husband joined the search for our room. There was a set of rooms up a set of steps but there was no signage to indicate there waa rooms upstairs. I looked up to the windows, from.where I was parked out of the rain& the fly screen had a big tear in it& it was flapping. I thought surely this would not be our accomodation for the night, but it was! Lol So we all go up,to check it out, in the rain. The steps were very aged, along with the cemenct balcony that took us to our room. The over powering smell of urine, coming up from the ground story, was hard to ignore. We were so taken back by the thick musty smell that met us at the door. The lay out of the family room was great, but unfortunately that's where it ended. The aircon was blowimg hot heat& the window had a big gap between where the fly screen was screwed to& the slidding window met. The old carpets smelt like smoke& must. My kids have allergies to dust& mould so they were having trouble breathing apon entering the room. We arn't ones to be ungratful but this was something we could not ignore. We felt terrible going back to the recpetion, to explain how would not be able to stay. After we explained our reasons, the lady was soo understanding& said that those rooms didn't get used much. So we were beyond relieved to have been given a refund. I can not rate what the rest of the rooms were like,as we had the big family room.

Found out it was due to location along with reception of some fat tv shows. Spoke to management about this problem, however unable to do anything about it
