Part of fabulous Pub with fabulous food .
- Danielle (8/5): -
- McAuley (8/5): Perfect location for our visit. - Location was within walking distance of local family. Staff are busy but always pleasant helpful and professional. The building is showing its age but to be fair there were signs of upgrades in place: e.g. smell of fresh paint in some areas.
- Christina (1/5): Mould in Bathroom - N.A No double Bed - Room was a tight box, No coffee machine working - Mould in Bathroom
- Peter (10/5): -
- Peter (10/5): - Lovely hotel and bar.Very comfortable throughout.Lovely rooms, dinner and choice of meals and drinks were great and mix grill was awesome.Great atmosphere and great location. All staff were fantastic and very helpful.
- Benjamin (8/5): - Nice and central. Next to a bus stop. The Kenco coffee packets - impossible to open!
- Tanya (8/5): Good value and well placed for what we needed - Good staff A little tired looking
- Hursey (10/5): -
- Jackie (5/5): - Location. Staff great, very helpful. Broken glass in entrance door. Stains on furniture, soap dispenser in room empty, building in need of love and attention, breakfast not value for money.
- Kadirbek (7/5): -
- Daniel (6/5): -
- Michael (8/5): -
- June (7/5): - The room was nice (no1), but very small. Spotless clean, noisy street outside if you leave the window open, woken twice by sirens, but dropped off again, bed comfy, everything you need really. Hairdryer, iron, board, tea/coffee making, hand and shower soap.
Will defo stay again. Room a little small, but fine for overnight.
- Jamieh2309 (8/5): Clean, comfortable and good value for money - Clean and comfortable Nothing really
- Chris (10/5): Convenient quiet location - Convenient quiet location, free parking, helpful friendly staff and right next to the bus stop for a short hop into town. 😊 Nothing
- Stanley (8/5): Would probably use agai - Clean tidy and well priced Room was a bit small
- MArtin (8/5): Steak and chips in the dining area was SPOT ON - Handy for a Rvi hospital visit EV charger point although handy if needed was on the expensive side.
- Kate (7/5): Fine for a night, reasonable value for money, friendly staff - Easy to find, free car parking, friendly and helpful staff, comfy beds, tasteful decor, pub had lots of TV screens showing different football matches, rooms had an iron and ironing board and hairdryer, The shower in the first room I was allocated didn't work properly - the water came out scalding and then didn't flow properly. The carpet in the room hadn't been hoovered properly - there were bits of mud all over it and the room was cold. The manager very kindly moved me to a different (much larger) room which an excellent shower over the bath. I thought breakfast was okay. It would be nice if the continental items were available without asking. I left after having some cooked food, but would've eaten more if I'd had the option of helping myself to other items.

Central
Location Shower was a bit of a faff
- Antony (8/5): Just right for a short stay. - The room was small but warm and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed and a good shower. It had all I needed for a short stay of a few nights while working and visiting family in the nearby area. It was also very quiet given its location on a busy junction. All the staff I met were very friendly and happy to help. I was a bit disappointed with the cooked breakfast.
- Ceri (3/5): -
- Catherine (8/5): Clean , comfortable, value for money. -
- Hans Eindhoven (8/5): Goed hotel voor shortstay - Kamer redelijk klein, goede bedden fijne badkamer goed ontbijt
- Thomas (8/5): - Location Clean

- Peter (9/5): Good place to stay in Newcastle - Staff friendly, helpful and welcoming
Room was fine, warm with everything we needed
Free carparking was a bonus
Great location for us, both destinations we needed to get to in Newcastle were in easy reach
This was my second stay here.
- Sunita (5/5): -
- Vanessa (8/5): A warm welcome with helpful staff a comfy bed and a great location - Breakfast was very nice. The kids got pancakes and nutella and the staff were very friendly. The beds were comfy. The room was cosy to come back to and a decent size. Kitchen smells in the bathroom and the free wifi was a bit patchy in our room.
- Mark (7/5): -
- Charles (7/5): Met expectations for the price - Staff were very friendly and helpful. Decor was a little tired. Good car parking. Breakfast good. No instructions for electric radiator so took a little time to work out how to use. Pillows very hard. Only a short walk to reach Jesmond Dene and Ouseburn valley which is a very nice place to visit Pillows were too hard. 25 minute walk to nearest Metro station
- Thomas (8/5): -
- WILLIAM (7/5): - STAFF ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC AND SO HELPFULL
- Sarah (10/5): Lovely and comfortable. - The breakfast was lovely and plentiful the room was comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The shower pressure wasn’t very good.
- Karen (8/5): Ideal for an overnight for visit to freemans hospital.x - Lovely room, traffic noise was loud, had to keep bedroom, bathroom windows closed still noisy but expected on main road to city centre, have stayed there 3 times previously so know what to expect.x Noise
- Wendy (10/5): Thank you! 😃 - 😃 Everything Nothing
- Sharon (6/5): Unlikely to stay again, not worth £91 with breakfast - Handy location, parking at the rear. Pub is a little grim, shower dribbled - very poor power, staff pretty miserable.
- Sarah (8/5): Very nice and comfortable and quiet and the breakfast was lovely however the shower - The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The room was lovely and comfortable and quiet. The shower pressure wasn’t very good. The room was abit smaller than expected.
- Maame Konadu (7/5): -
- Susan (8/5): Well fed, slept well, bed comfortable, will be back again. - Room fine, food as expected and hot, location ideal, breakfast good, will use again. Sitting under tv too loud was turned down when asked, no fore thought. Heater in room not apparently working or timed set but room still warm enough. Need more milk and bits in room. Peas cold with meal.
- Carl (9/5): Excellent place to stay staff where brilliant one member of their team went above and beyond! - All excellent breakfast was fantastic
Room clean and tidy
Also food in the bar/restaurant was excellent Everything was fine as far as we were concerned
- Martin (5/5): Underwhelming. - Restaurant menu was good value and tasty, but menu is limited and several items were unavailable. Staff were friendly but could not be described as professional. The property is tired and dated, especially the bedroom. Bedroom and bathroom were both small and shower was poor. Staff were hard to find at breakfast (eventually found playing one of the games machines). No other dining options within walking distance.
- Rubby (10/5): -
- Jane (8/5): Very good, went to a party in function room, very good - A very satisfying breakfast, for me and my family. Nothing
- Denyer (10/5): Fantastic - Breakfast superb, lots of choice. Tea and coffee in good supply. Room immaculately clean and warm. Can't fault anything, 10/10. Staff very friendly and very helpful. Bar prices very reasonable and food choices good. Would recommend and definitely come again.
- Vanessa (9/5): -
- Jacky (7/5): -
- Sarah (8/5): -
- Ruairi (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Raymond (8/5): Very satisfied - Good location not to far from city centre staff very good rooms were good and had everything you needed good breakfast as well
- roy (4/5): Overall good for the price - Average Sausage poorly cooked
- Wendy Thompson (9/5): -
- richard (10/5): A little gem in the north east. - Claire on reception is a ledgend.
Central location Baths in room.
More milk sachets.
- Philip (9/5): - The staff were very friendly and definitely local. The bed was very comfortable. The soap dispenser in the shower was empty.
- Richard (10/5): - Hotel in super location. Breakfast was superb. More importantly - the staff were excellent
- Anita (9/5): -
- Tracey (7/5): -
- Garry (8/5): - The breakfast was fine not the best I've had but was 7 out of 10 took me a long time to get there from town centre Beer prices
- Karen (8/5): We had a lovely time and everyone was very friendly - How central it was The public toilets need attention
- Darren (9/5): -
- David (7/5): - Didn’t have One bed was uncomfortable
Was like a temporary bed
- Rachel (6/5): Ok for a budget stay. Near to town but traffic v busy so takes a while. - Free parking, warm room, comfortable bed . Felt safe. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Road noise, but nice thick curtains. The room wasn’t properly cleaned during my stay, the cups were only rinsed out not washed/ replaced with clean ones, and were still stained from my drink the day before , sink wasn’t cleaned. I left a glass on the sink, it obviously hadn’t been moved as there was a ring from where I had put it , unusual smell.
Breakfast was good, but had to wait about 15 minutes from order both days even though I was the only person in the dining room, so if you need to leave be make sure you get down for breakfast in plenty of time. The cooked breakfast was good apart from the sausage, it was overcooked and not particularly nice
- Carl (6/5): - It was clean. Incredible noisy from the room next door. In a pub so some noise to be expected but I couldnt sleep
- Anne (7/5): -
- Stephen (8/5): -
- Sean (6/5): Did the job - Bed was comfy and clean Rooms was a bit bland and was looking tidied. Wall paper was hanging of the ceiling in the bathroom and toilet roll holder was broke. Breakfast was nice. Meals within the pub were ok and cheap enough. Would of been nice to be able to pick your own cereals, juices etc but they are brought to the table if you ask for them.
- Atuahene (10/5): I felt very comfortable and enjoyed my stay. Hope to come again another time. - I brought my own food but the kitchen staff were so lovely that they offered support and warmed it in the kitchen for me since there was no microwave in my room. The was no microwave in the room, I am not sure if is for health and safety purposes.
- Graham (7/5): - Helpful and friendly staff.
Breakfast toast. Minor gripe - no black pudding as part of a full English breakfast.
- Wi (5/5): - Traffic noise. Window in Room 1 not shutting properly.
- Fiona (7/5): Convenient location for our needs. - Breakfast good, staff very helpful.Bar friendly and cozy.Large carpark. We held a small buffet for a funeral in the conservatory which was well organized. The pub / hotel rooms are now in need of a bit of tlc but generally clean and comfortable.
- Karl (8/5): -
- James (8/5): - Location is spot on. The rooms are small but comfortable and nicely decorated. As it is part of a pub the bar and food is excellent. It's chain pub food but it's good. The breakfast was really good, decent choice and tatsy. There is a little traffic noise but if you pick a hotel next to a main road that's what you'd expect.
- Vicky (8/5): -
- Ruth (7/5): Good value - Comfortable, clean room, friendly staff. Very small room but not really a problem
- martin (8/5): - Closeness to town centre. Bus stop outside.
Its a pub with rooms. Quiz night tuesday.
Bathroom. Noisy toilet. Random refilling noise.
- shane (10/5): -
- Carol (6/5): It was okay for the purpose of our visit. - The hotel was close to Freeman hospital where we were visiting my husband. The room and the bathroom were clean. There was parking around the back of the property. The bed wasn’t comfortable it was a bit hard and the pillows were hard so didn’t get a brilliant sleep.
- Stacey (7/5): One night - Lovely pub lovely food brilliant for parking Had a different room this time a twin and the beds were really hard so not a great night's sleep
- Kevin (5/5): OK for one night - Location Interior looking tired. Room cleanliness could be better
- Lee (7/5): - Good location for visiting family. Clean. Room was a little small. No biscuit! Breakfast was basic, ingredients poor quality. No other continental options on display.
- Mariyana (9/5): -
- John (10/5): Team leaders at the double. - Clean and tidy room but the staff made it, Simone and the Other Team leader sorry I didn’t get her name were fantastic and a total credit to there profession
Well done girls!!!!!!!
- Paul (8/5): - From the outset the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean and the food was of a very good standard and very good value for money, We would happily stay at the Corner House Inn again should we be in the area sometime in the future,
- Gillian (7/5): -
- Sandra (8/5): Overall a great stop over, great service from the staff :) - Very clean and in an excellent location. Staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast great ! Walls are very thin and we could hear everything from the room next door.
- Penny (8/5): So easy to get to from friends.helpful staff - Staff, location, parking Not a dislike as such - Part of a large busy pub by busy road
- Catherine (7/5): Great location for our needs. - Perfect location for our visit. Noise from other residents
- Nicole (9/5): One to remember, when you need to stay near Newcastle city centre. - Very comfortable, clean and lovely interior and decor, with a cosy feel. Road noise was a bit of an issue, but we understand that, this could not be helped given where the place is located. This was the only slight down side.
- Liam In Horsham (1/5): Noise. So much noise. Don't stay here if you want to sleep. - Location: close to Heaton. Shower-over-bath was fine. Noise. I discovered the window doesn't close because the latch/handle doesn't work. The room fronts a junction on a main road, so it was very noisy, not just traffic noise, but regular emergency services sirens too.
Noise. The water fittings use mains cold water and the pressure makes it really noisy. If the toilet flushes in the adjacent room, or the shower is used, it is so loud.
Noise. The walls are really thin, you can hear voices at conversation level through the walls, and when someone plugs into a socket, it sounds like they are about to knock through the wall. This is not good when it's against the headboard of the bed.
Noise. The fire doors operate with such a slam - they are not on soft closers. In addition to the room doors, there is a landing door. So every time someone goes to or from a room, two doors slam. And the room doors offer little sound proofing.
Noise. The rooms are above a pub. To be fair, I couldn't hear the pub below at all, which is good. However, the outdoor seating/smoking area is immediately outside below the bedroom, so combined with a window that doesn't close, and it is very noisy, including the sound of plastic garden furniture being dragged around.
Lighting. The bathroom is internal, so is reliant on the quality of electric lighting. The small ceiling light was dim and yellow. The light switch was grimy.
Bed. I sleep in a lot of hotels at a similar price point. I rarely have a bad night of sleep. I woke up with a back as stiff as a board this morning.
