Friendly staff and good breakfasts from their top floor restaurant (nice view too). Comfortable small room. Hallway noise and call to prayer calls occur but that’s expected anywhere in the area. We would stay here again.

Hotel was located at edge of Medina up a hill from ferry &/or taxis so lugging suitcase up hill/steps was a bit difficult. Overall nice hotel but be prepared to walk up lots of hills & stairs.

The staff were absolutely superb in their customer service. Courtesy helpfulness, an overall presence.

Staff were friendly and helpful carried bags to our room and gave us advice on cost for taxis etc. The room was small but had everything we needed including fresh fruit. Breakfast was included and a great start to the day. Great location for exploring the Medina and corniche.

- GlobeTrotting794208 (2/5): Avoid Mamora Bay at all costs – this place has completely ruined our trip. Unsafe and dirty - This so-called “hotel” is absolutely disgraceful and unfit for human use. The main door to our room did not even close properly, leaving us feeling unsafe from the moment we arrived. The conditions were appalling: damp throughout, a constant gutter stench, a blocked sink, and a toilet so small that anyone over 70kg would physically struggle to use it. The toilet seat was broken, and the bed sheets were not only dirty and badly stained but clearly had not even been changed from the previous resident. Truly disgusting. We had originally booked a triple room, but it was so bad that we were forced to downgrade to a tiny double bed room for three people, just to get away from the filth. There was no TV, no kettle, no basic amenities at all. The entire listing for Mamora Bay was nothing but a lie. This wasn’t just disappointing — it was a nightmare that ruined our whole experience. What should have been a special stay turned into stress, discomfort, and disgust. To make matters worse, I have contacted Booking.com several times by phone and email, and even reached out on X (Twitter), yet I have had no response. The lack of customer care has been shocking and only made the situation worse. Mamora Bay is a disgrace and should never be advertised as a hotel. Save yourself the pain and avoid it at all costs. To make matters even worse, when checking out today, the hotel manager aggressively confronted us and pressured us to change our review. This was extremely intimidating and frightening for my family — something we never expected or should ever have to experience.

- Sonia (8/5): - For those of you seeking adventure, this is the place to be. From the valet to the frontline staff and all the way to the kitchen team, the service has been exceptional. This hotel is an older establishment with a rich history. Please do not come with high expectations when staying here, but I can assure you that my experience was more than enough to make me want to return. Please ask for Mohammed as your driver when touring around. He is very nice and kind. He picked us up from the airport and also drove us on the excursion we chose. Tarik, at the front reception, will suggest some additional activities. Please consider them, as they are well worth it. Tarik also arranged our tour guide, Youssef, an amazing man full of knowledge. He is also very funny and joyful. Overall, during our three days in Tangier, my family and I had a lot of fun and are looking forward to coming back.

- Evangelos (10/5): - The property is near the edge of the Medina, very close to interesting museums and landmarks, and the promenade along the water. The top floor is a restaurant open all day and evening, with a great view of the harbour and the sea, and a pleasant sea breeze. The hotel staff is super helpful, and helps ordering taxis and carrying suitcases from the hotel down stairs to the taxi pick up point. The hotel is very close to the Grand Mosque, which means that the call to prayer is audible at specific times of the day.
- Natalie (8/5): Great Hidden Gem - Really great hotel the staff are amazing. The bellhop takes your bags to your room and even down the stairs to get to the ferry. The location can be a bit hard to find because it is in a Road but the shop owners are very helpful. While you are being checked in they ask you to sit down and have some Moroccan tea and a biscuit. Breakfast is more than any one person can eat. The restaurant is on the third floor with an outlook of the marina and the mosque.

Comfortable rooms although somewhat small and cleaned regularly. Reception staff are friendly and helpful and always ready to meet your needs The only downside is that the breakfast becomes a bit repetitive if you’re there for more than three nights as the same breakfast is served every morning heavy on bread and pastries . The waiting staff though are incredibly attentive .

I think it is one of the best hotels I have stayed in in the last ten years in terms of location, professional hospitality and price.. The receptionist left his desk to walk us to the American Legation Museum for example and reserved us a taxi to the airport. The bell man walked our bags down the street when it was time to take the latter. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Also, dinner is very good and convenient in the hotel restaurant. We had our driver coordinate a drop off with the hotel where they had a staff member waiting to help us with our luggage and bring us to the hotel. There is an option to go up a flight of stairs or one to walk around and up a hill. Both were easy to use. We were greeted with mint tea. My mom had some difficulty with the stair so the staff gave us the option to have a room on the first level instead. That was very nice. The room was clean and comfortable. There is a restaurant upstairs with a view. I highly recommend this hotel. Everyone is so friendly, thank you!
- Rodrigo (10/5): Mamora Bay: great stay in Tangier - I would like to highly recommend staying at Mamora Bay. Their location is at the centre of Tagier's Medina, very close to the Sea and you have everything around. We stayed at the Mamora Suit which has the best view of all bedrooms. It was the best room I have ever stayed in a hotel. The restaurant where we would have breakfast was also at the top floor (3rd) and the view to the Sea was breathtaking! Thank you Mamora Bay for hosting us! If I am back to Tangier, I know where I am staying!!

- Kyudong (8/5): - The staff were friendly and hotel was located close to Petit Socco and Grand Socco. However, it's very close to a Mosque so the public prayer services starting at 6am was quite loud and disruptive for my sleep. Also, I recommend adding a silent clock to each room.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent hotel but…. - Great location and great staff! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Comfortable room too. The place overall has a great atmosphere. The breakfast was good and had a great view of the Mosque and water. My big criticism is that the Medina there is full of very aggressive scammers with constant hassles. It was so bad we avoided walking around and purchasing items and instead went for a long walk on the water. The walk was an excellent alternative. Dealing with the Medina was a horrible experience and would not recommend it to anyone. This is unfortunate since this is a great hotel with many great restaurants around.
- Matias (10/5): Great value for money in the medina - The location is good in the old town (medina) of Tangier. Service was excellent all the way through and the hotel can offer you many different trips and other services at competitive prices. Rooms are clean and the decoration is nice. There is a restaurant at the hotel with nice views and traditional Moroccoan food. A traditional Moroccoan breakfast is served to table in the same place. The breakfast was, in other words, a bit sweet for us Scandinavians but nevertheless enjoyable. You can exchange money at the reception. All in all, we highly recommend this hotel on the basis of location for those who want to be in the medina, and value for money.

- Nicol (8/5): Great staff but no lift and up a hill - The hotel staff are very nice and friendly- they helped us with all our enquiries even allowed us to change rooms when i requested a bigger room- restaurant staff are very nice and there is a nice view for breakfast The rooms were alright - clean but quite basic Hotel has no lift and we were on the top floor which was quite tiring - there is no private parking you park at the bottom and they you have to go up 3 flight of stairs to get to the hotel which is not good when you have luggage or tired - Location wise you are in the medina and near the port but there is a lot of beggers around here

- Christopher (8/5): Tangier 3 night stay - The staff are very sweet. Extremely accommodating. Its in the old town, you have to climb several steps, please request the taxi driver to drop you at the inter continental hotel and from there you can use the ramp to get to the hotel.

Not very quite in the morning because of the Mosque nearby the hotel ,but you get used to it .Nice shoping areas in the Old town and good walk to Marina .......Value for money and perfect location for solo travelers ...
- carol (6/5): - I was in a single room that was unclean and with an unpleasant odour. Minimal amenities are provided, a single sachet of shampoo and a small bar of soap. Not even a bottle of water. Front desk staff are friendly. Breakfast room is delightful, beautiful view and a set and simple menu. Smoking is allowed inside the breakfast restaurant which was awful while eating. The grand mosque is right beside the hotel. You will hear the call to prayer as if it’s inside your room, it’s that loud. I personally loved the ambiance of this but others may not.

- James (8/5): Good - Only stayed one night. Decent room, excellent service. Friendly staff, bellboy carried my bag to room and to taxi after check out. Hotel is in the Medina so it was a several minute walk out to the street. Complementary tea upon arrival. Satisfied with my stay.

Even asked for the taxi arrangement back to the airport and the rate wa fair, considering the peak time ( my friends' hotels quoted much more). Walkable to the old city and the market within a few minutes and there are good restaurants nearby as well. I would definitely recommend this place!

- Verified traveler (4/5): Not quite "fabulous" - I wouldn't be fooled by the review that called the single room in this hotel "fabulous", the reviewer may have been influenced by a low room price of the moment. The single room is so small you can barely swing a cat. Stingy as well providing only one small towel, no bath mat, only a smidgen of soap, no cup of any sort for brushing teeth no hangers in the closet and with the pungent smell of bleach noticeable upon entering. Now I will say, after complaining to the front desk about all of this, they brought up a small fruit plate, a bottle of water and a small glass for teeth brushing. So if you are on a budget, this might be a good choice for you but it's far from fabulous. On a positive note the staff are friendly and courteous and appear to be concerned about the comfort of their guests. I have stayed here in the past and have noticed a level of stinginess that wasn't as obvious before. So, I would stay here only if I had to because it isn't my first choice. Also if you are a solo woman traveler, you might not want to venture out after dark as the street, or alleyway this hotel is located on is crawling with drug dealers and users, aggressive pan handlers and women of the night. It is in the middle of the petite socco and close to a coiple of popular cafes and the old medina and souks. That might be of interest to some visitors Oh by the way, the breakfast which is included with your room is not very good especially when compared to other hotels in the area.

- NMiniov (8/5): Back in Morocco after 17 years - Good hotel, a decent breakfast, and the view from our room (304 or 306 last on the corridor) was very nice (no view around the Tangier was better! We paid more for this room but totally worth it! Medina is close and we did not have any problem with the parking despite the bad reviews.
- STEVEN D (10/5): - We loved this place: a warm welcome, courteous staff who couldn't do enough for you, a clean room with comfortable beds, an excellent breakfast with views looking out over Tangier, all within easy walking distance of the old town. The hotel restaurant was excellent too and we had the best tagine of the whole stay there. I really can't fault this place - thoroughly recommended.

- Stuart (10/5): A Great Place to Stay - The Mamora Bay Hotel is located in the medina, with it's lively atmosphere, and is conveniently close to the ferry port. The hotel has been decorated and furnished to a high standard and the staff were all friendly, attentive and helpful.

Great views from the terrace restaurant. Although some aspects of the room are dated, it was comfortable, clean and well maintained. To note it is located next to the Grand Mosque so there will be regular calls to prayer.

No English and very minimal sights for overpriced taxi ride. Live and learn. Cafe with a view is nice. Limited tp in room. Pillows and mattress too hard. Noisy, creepy floor. Very out outside window at night.

The lobby area is nicely designed. The free WiFi connection works very well. The room is comfortable. The view from the restaurant at 3rd floor is wonderful. The breakfast is good. Overall, the hotel offers very good value for money.
