Guest Reviews
- Kristen (6/5): - We stayed for one night for the Bristol race. It was an ideal location and we liked it. We were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the property and room. However, the bathroom light was very dim with bugs in it, exhaust fan didn’t work and shower curtain had growth on it. The bed could be softer, and creaked all night with movement.
- Marta (2/5): Disgusting - This had to be the nastiest place ever! It was dirty, mold, outlets and air unit had burn places, provided no hotel room amenities.
- Corey (8/5): - 5 stsrs
- Kelli (2/5): - The room was dirty & in terrible shape. No microwave or refrigerator. Mildew & scum on bathtub. No mirror & holes in walls & curtains.
- Thomas (6/5): - Older facility. Housekeeping needed help. Served a basic need but that's about it.
- David (2/5): - WORST PLACE EVER
Expedia charge me when booking on website 72 bucks and the balance was $2.34 to be paid at the hotel. This hotel charge me $72 again and says Expedia supposed to send me the money that they charged for this booking
100% dumb
Trash can on sink counter to catch water from leaking roof through unfastened vanity light fixture. Mold in tub and all over bottom curtain.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I wasnt able to stay i had a family emergency, and ive been trying to get my refund.
- Angela (2/5): - Toilet seat was broken, the drain in bathtub wouldn't drain, people kept knocking on door all night long. Water was busted, took a long time to fix. Pillows were flat. Just not a good place to stay.
- Ladona (2/5): - First room we had the water came through the floor. Got moved to a different room. Had no water for hours, no towels, pillows flat, the key stopped working at 8am & had to give a deposit
- Danny (2/5): - The room we stayed in was disgusting. We took a shower and the shower stock up so water always came up in the tub because it was clogged. There is black and white mold everywhere. The whole room smells so bad we didn’t even stay the night we checked out the same night we checked in and went home because it was that bad.
- Robert (2/5): - This is a completely outdated run-down facility. I would strongly advise finding an alternate choice.
Additionally, when I arrived at hotel with confirmed reservation, I was informed that there were no rooms available. Only after the manager realized I paid a ridiculously high price for room (hotel price gouged because of hurricane damage in area) did they free up a room from a reservation in which a lower price was paid.
Also got stuck in a smoking room. Worst hotel experience ever.
- Kermit (2/5): - Tired outdated smelly dirty. Had to ask for towels. Extremely hard bed.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was good well maintained room and great staff
- Mark (6/5): - Expensive and not overly clean
- David (10/5): - Ff
- Marvin (2/5): No Air Conditioner- No Refinds - I booked for 2 nights. Checked in and A/C didn’t work. They put me in a second room. Air conditioner did not work. Manager said it’s because it’s hot outside. I checked out in less than an hour. Not only did they refuse to refund me for less than an hour. They refused to refund me the second night as well. How do you charge someone two nights for less than 1 hour? I will be seeking legal action.
- Willie (10/5): Great place to stay. - Enjoyed staying here. Close to a ton of things to do in Bristo!
- Laura (2/5): - There was no fixture over light, bed was hard and uncomfortable, only 2 towels period had to go buy towels. Just not a great place.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Stinky and Hot - 10 out of 10 do not recommend. Our room smelled like stale cigarettes, the air conditioner did not work (and it was 90 degrees), the mattress and sheets were blood stained and had cigarette burns on it, there were crushed up fruity pebbles under the mattress, the air conditioner and vent in the bathroom was rusted, and getting towels/wash clothes was like pulling teeth. Our friends had other rooms and they were better than ours, but still had problems with the air conditioners. Thankfully our friends had a room with double beds and we slept in there. Miserable stay.
- Marcy (8/5): - Rooms were a little small, and the bed was a little hard. The people were nice and it was convenient to the race track.
- Michael (10/5): Nice and close to Bristol Dragway - Basically no frills. Had tv, microwave and fridge. Obviously an older hotel but room was cozy, quiet, comfortable and clean.
- Lori (10/5): Bristol - It was okay. I have slept in better, I have slept in worse. It was okay for the price and tthe distance to the track.
- LUCILLE (2/5): - I paid $168.16 total for a room that had a hole in the door, a hole in the wall with wires hanging out of it, a burn hole on the sheets on one bed, a burn hole in the curtains. We felt lucky enough that the door locked. Never again. Gross
- Kevin (10/5): - Was greeted and checked in quickly and very friendly. Rooms were a bit smaller than I expected, but adequate. Bathroom was very small and tub drain did not work properly. It was stuck in a 3/4 closed position that would not let you take a bath, but would fill up if you tried to take anything other than a quick shower. I didn't discover this till later and the hotel was pretty well booked I think so made due. Will inform them when I check out.
- Sophia (2/5): - We have been waiting at the hotel for 30 minutes and nobody is at the front desk. We called when we arrived and a guy said he'd be here in 10 minutes and then never showed up.
- danny (10/5): - Convenient
- Crockett (2/5): Don’t book here with Hotels.com! - Arrived at the hotel, admittedly late after playing a bar gig, and they would not answer the office door nor the phone for several minutes. Finally someone answered the phone and told me they did not honor any online bookings. So I had to travel another several interstate exits to find an open hotel. Not a great experience at all.
- warren (10/5): - room clean easy ck in
- Michael (6/5): Want stay here again - Mattress horribly uncomfortable curtaians and bedspread had multiple cigarettes burns had to buy my own toliot paper go get my own coffee and towels and not enough parking and to many shelter and homeless people around.
- rodger (8/5): - Good quiet place
- Bruce (4/5): - Motel management was nowhere to be found upon our arrival. Only after 45min as we were preparing to find other lodging, did someone show up. Toilet initially wouldn't flush, shower was inoperable and hvac wouldn't respond to controls
- Kevin (2/5): - wrong room only one bed one lamp did not work dirty bathtub
- Shelley (8/5): - The room was exactly what we needed, just a bed with clean sheets, a clean hot shower and coffee.
- Erin (2/5): - The room was a disaster. I knew with booking this room I would not have the fanciest amities but it was unacceptable. No working smoke detector, roaches, and there was writing on a light that said profanities. There were burn holes in the blankets. One towel, and bathroom drain had standing water in it
- JOHN (8/5): - Basically OK and good price
- Joe (2/5): - Would not stay there again
- Verified traveler (2/5): Cockroach infested! - Did not stay, room was very dirty. Stained sheets and cockroaches everywhere!
Manager refused to give me a refund, we left. Terrible experience.
Do not stay here.
- Kevin (8/5): One night stay - Reviews were mixed for this hotel, but we were pleasantly surprised. It was clean and comfortable for our one night stay. We were there for the Bristol NASCAR night race and it was perfect for us.
- CHRISTOPHER (6/5): - Light over bathroom sink didn’t work.
Also strange that at 3pm you check in thru one of those currency exchange window slot.
- Elisabeth (10/5): - Quaint. But completely liveable few flies in the room but all in all decent place
- Thomas (2/5): - Found a drug baggie in the room, dead roach, leftover food in a ice bucket in the microwave, light didnt work in bathroom, holes in towles,no batteries for TV remote, outlets warn out.
- Mark (6/5): - Just a room
- Doug (2/5): Slept in my car! - After getting a confirmation from hotels.com the day before, upon trying to check in was told there were no rooms available and even if there was, the manager didn’t leave the service desk a key. WTH.
Slept in my car!
- Russel (10/5): Great value - Clean, well ran, good value for money, great location for town.
- Pamela (6/5): - I can only say it was ok. The room had an odor when we checked in and out. The bathroom was pretty clean and the sheets had stains. Bedspread was ok. Manager took care of any issues that we and other guests had.
- Brandon (2/5): - I didnt like anything
- Melanie (2/5): Unhappy camper - I had a mixup with booking my stay and in error made two reservations for the same day instead of two sequential days. Therefore, when I arrived late (my bus was delayed by 24 hours), I was told the booking was for the previous day and the reservation could not be moved to the next day as the reservation had expired. The manager, Mike asked me to call Hotels.com to resolve the issue. I spoke with an agent with Hotels. com who authorized the change of reservation, but the hotel manager refused to change it. He would not let me in the lobby and told me the only way I could stay was if I paid $85. I arrived at this hotel at 3am and stood outside for an hour pleading with the manager to find a way to help, and he refused. I was left walking to find lodging as my reservation was not honored. I paid for two nights at this hotel and wasn’t allowed to stay even one. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I want my money back
- Jason (6/5): Stay away - Stayed for 1 night after a concert. Thats all its good for. Room was terrible, bathroom light didnt work. The lock on the door wouldn't work, had to get manager whenever we went into the room. Parts of the walls were falling down. Hotel is in bad condition
- Fabiana (2/5): - No good
- Tracy (8/5): - It was convenient to everything, clean and comfortable. The hotel is a bit older, but everything was great!
- Jim (4/5): - Like close to the racetrack
- Johnathon (2/5): - Going rate is $50 per night, Expedia charged me $94. Room smelled like smoke, week later still $100 deposit tied up.
- danny (6/5): - Air.notcool.fighting.in.parking.lot.allnit
- Linda (2/5): Took copy of what they didn't need - The stay was ok. I didn't like them taken a copy of my debit card.ihad com. # that u all had given me.they didn't want that just a copy of my debit card.
- Benjamin (6/5): - Okay in a pinch, nothing else available. Way overpriced just because it was Bristol race weekend. Not in a very good area.
- Trevor Michael (2/5): - Room was dirty, sheets had stains on them, pillow cases were not clean. All around a dirty place. Walls had gouges from I'm assuming furniture moving around. Bathroom looked like it had mold on the walls in the shower and the ceiling looked to have gotten wet and the drywall was falling in the corner. Bathroom door would not close, you had to use your knee to hold the door closed while sitting on the toilet and shove a towel on the floor while taking a shower. Front door you really had to shove to get to latch correctly.
After booking on Expedia and paying up front the owner of the hotel charged me an extra $15 a person when we arrived stating Expedia does not charge per person but he does. After spending over $300 on a room I was charged another $45 upon arrival. Would never recommend this place to anyone.
- Alkini (2/5): - Place was crawling with coach roaches. Smelled bad!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It's okay
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Convenience at a great price!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - For the price it was adequate. Service was minimal, but responsive when asked. The only major gripe, was the very poor internet, which repeatedly dropped out.
- Nathan (8/5): - Didn’t have maid service I had to ask for towels but that could’ve been just because of Covid so it is what it is with that in my opinion other than that wasn’t bad at all
- Verified traveler (2/5): - A minor, young child, running the service desk. Lobby locked, had to talk through intercom, pass information through window. One of the motel guest had no or modified exhaust.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Upon arrival, door to office is locked. Had to call from phone on building for service. A child was working the desk, who then took our card through a slot in the window, again not being allowed in the office. Get to room and immediately discover a hole in the shower curtain, which was replaced, but manager claims that they didn’t notice it. Then realize that the door does not latch on its own, you have to lift the door in order for it to lock. Bed was dirty and blankets and sheets had holes. Graffiti and holes on the walls. Did encounter a roach at a point, which means there are more. Ice machine did not work.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Horrible place. Dont stay here unless you have no other choice.
- Mary (2/5): - Never checked in. Called hotel on Feb 26 and have phone records of call, spoke with who happened to be owners daughter who was supposed to return our call or cancel if unable to fulfill our reservation and questions. Never returned call, we booked elsewhere and stayed another venue which was a further distance from where we wanted to be in first place. We drive almost 700 miles and almost at other hotel and we finally get a call back asking when we were checking in. Obviously we didnt check in and not happy with the circumstances. Something that needs attention and to be remedied. Casting doubt on whether we will continue to use these booking services.
- Bruce (2/5): Don’t stay here - After looking at room we refused to stay... rooms not up to standard
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Room wasnt what i thought due to the pic. Thought was geting a double bed room ended up getting a single queen. On sunday night they was working on the room next door making noise till 1230 in the morning while me and ny wife and son are trying to sleep. Called cront desk they did nothing. Will not book agin. Would rather sleep in my truck then this hotel
- Christopher (6/5): - Ok but had mold on shower curtain, wifi wouldn't reach my room , other then that was fine
- Rebecca (4/5): What a crock - The people who work there are the rudiest i have ever met.. They charged me 15 a night for my small dog which wasnt mentioned on the site. The fridge was broken and the worker wouldnt bring it inaidw my room so i had to lift it and carry it in.
- Angie (10/5): - The room was cozy an the staff was very nice
- Chad (2/5): - Well seemed like at first it was ok till you turn off the lights. Then cockroach are everywhere covered everything.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was a great spot for our overnight - clean, quiet and affordable.
- Rich (8/5): - Cheap no frills hotel, but the rooms are in great condition. Are room included a minifridge with a freezer which was nice. Bed was soft but not too soft.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The Good: The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff was friendly
The Bad: I'm not sure who's to blame, Expedia or Budget Host Inn. The room was advertised for $70 through Expedia. Taxes made it $80. Okay, so no big deal. An extra $10 dollars never broke anybody. According to Expedia, no rooms were available for smokers, so I chose a nonsmoking room. No big deal. I can go outside to smoke. I get down there and the young lady asked me if I wanted smoking or nonsmoking. I said well, smoking if you have one available. She looked, came back a couple of seconds later and said they had one available for $139. I said no thanks, I will keep the one I booked through Expedia. She went to the back and was gone for 7-8 minutes and a guy came in who also worked there. Asked me if I needed any help and I told him that the young lady already took care of me. He proceeds to take over. I ended up paying $100 dollars for the room, $30 dollars more than advertised
- Allan (8/5): Clean, Comfortable, and Reasonably Priced - It was clean and comfortable. Had TV, microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. Also had plenty of chairs. Bathroom was small, but clean. There was no soap or shampoo. For the price it was a good choice.
- Roy (2/5): - Roaches. Nasty rooms
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Close to downtown
Dirty, smoke detector was not there. Just the wiring for it. Frig was moldy and not working. Mold at ceiling in bathroom. Sheets did not seem fresh.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Ice machine not working, otherwise perfectly fine. Nicer towels than most places in this price range.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This newly remodeled motel in Bristol, Virginia is located on State Street, which defines the state line between Virginia and Tennessee,so it's easy to find. When you drive out of the motel to turn left toward the close-by downtown, you have just entered Tennessee. At the motel, you can park in front of your own room. The owner seems eager to please. It's a convenient and inexpensive place from which to visit downtown Bristol or the nearby Bristol Motor Speedway, on the Tennessee side.
- Jacqulyn (2/5): Bug Villa!!!! - Couldn't even use the toilet without a roach crawling across my foot! Slept remainder of the night in my truck! Asked for my money back for just the next night and couldn't get it!!! Simply disgusting 😡
- Verified traveler (2/5): - There are cockroaches throughout the room, smoke detector is ripped out of wall, towels were dirty, cigarette burn marks on the furniture and the comforter. We would have gone to another hotel but none were available due to the Nascar race. This room cost $381.58 CAD for the night (due to the race) and you could not pay us to stay there again. We would have spoken to the person when we checked out at 7:30 AM however there was no one at the front desk.
