- David (8/5): Bed and Breakfast without the Breakfast! - We stayed for a single night at this cabin. It was clean, and the check-in process was straightforward. I received a text message with instructions. Unfortunately, we couldn’t enjoy breakfast. When I texted Lori about breakfast in the morning, she informed me that we should have made a reservation if we wanted breakfast, and she couldn’t accommodate us for the day. We didn’t receive any information about the need for a reservation for breakfast during the booking or check-in process. This was a significant disappointment, especially since the primary reason we chose this location was because it was a bed and breakfast!

The beds were very comfortable and we loved having a stove and full size fridge to use. We also loved the Cousin Eddie mural across the way. If we ever pass through Kansas again, we will definitely be staying here!

- Jolene (10/5): - Trail City Bed & Breakfast is a gem! We attended the Amache Pilgrimage in Granada this year and this B&B was a few miles down the road. The bedroom was comfortable, the shower was nice, and the breakfasts were exceptional! Highly recommended--we know where we'll be staying if we're in the area again!
- Irene (10/5): - "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get”. We made a quick booking while we're on the road. Haven't decided whether we should stay a night in Lamar or Holly. But apparently, we end up in Coolidge. The Trail city B&B is highly recommended. We stayed in "ace of spade " room, a decent , clean room with all the necessities we needed (clean, towels, shampoo and conditioner, mini ref, ac, fan, heater , TV, and a huge bed).
In the morning, we are greeted by Lori. She's a very sweet lady. She prepared the best breakfast, just like a mom preparing a meal for her kids. We feel like we are just visiting a relatives in this accommodation.
Definitely, in our future trips, we will book again in this accommodation .😄😄😄

- Ashley (10/5): Home Sweet Home but BETTER - BEST PLACE EVER!! There was not one bad experience throughout our three day/two night stay in this wonderful place! From the first phone call interaction, the folded toilet paper touches, to the recipe sharing farewell, you could tell this place was magical!
Lori our host made our weekend very enjoyable. The breakfast at the main house served by Lori, was
PHENOMENAL! The cabin was our children's favorite place in a long time!
They loved the loft, were obsessed with the special touches she left for the guests in the fridge, and mom and dad were of course in heaven as the beds were clouds of fluffy comfort! Lori is the best host we've ever encountered and if you don't stay at these cabins you're missing out on a rare touch of down home hospitality. I can promise you no hotel close can compare to this place or her! 10 out of 10 recommend from a family of 5!
- Kathleen (10/5): - The log cabin we stayed in was clean. It also had a wonderful decor and an amazing king size bed!

Accommodations were perfect for what I needed in the middle of a long trip. Can't say there was anything I didn't like, even the isolation of Coolidge has it's own appeal to me.
- joseph (10/5): - The cabin was amazing. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Would definitely stay here again.

- Michael (10/5): - We stayed in the cabins. Such a beautiful cabin. Very small town and perfect for a nights stop. We did not eat the breakfast but what we saw looked amazing. Homemade from scratch french toast with berries. If you stay in the main house the breakfast is free. If you stay in one of the two cabins, the breakfast is $10
- Shelly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (10/5): - Such a great night's sleep and a beautiful place. My kids and I felt so welcome! My dog even got a piece of bacon for breakfast!! If I ever look come through this town again I will book this place for sure! Super happy with everything!!!
- Candice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeramy (10/5): Small town but fabulous bed and breakfast! - Breakfast was delicious! Enjoyed a chat with our host and her daughter. It is a very small town but was a perfect stop for our trip. There was a short book in our room that related the story of nearby Trail City and it’s wild history. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and we had a very pleasant stay.
- Sharon (8/5): very unique quarters… the history and effort Laurie is giving Coolidge and the community is incredible! - the game room in the back was incredible and if the weather was better the outdoor space would have been fun for our cousin gathering! sofa would not work for two grown senior adults
- Toni (10/5): Close to family. Makes my family visits all about me. - comfortable, homey
- Brittany (5/5): Passable - the cabin itself is really cute and cozy. first off, when we arrived there was no one on the property and I had to wait for 20 minutes just for someone to show up, they then proceeded to inform me that they didn’t know I had made a reservation so our cabin was not ready and still had to be cleaned. We have to wait a total of 1 and 1/12 hours to be able to finally rest after traveling all day. the little property around the cabin is decent but the area it is in is a little scary. There was some kind of party going on down the street so there was a lot of LOUD traffic and music playing from the time we arrived (6pm)and continued to play for hours into the night.
- William (10/5): - This place was a wonderful find. I am very happy I chose to stop there and would highly recommend it. The innkeeper is the mayor of Coolidge, so she can provide the sort of local orientation that makes all the difference in a rural place. While this area could seem isolated from an urban or suburban perspective, there is a remarkable amount of stuff to explore if you make this your base and are able to travel in a 50 mile radius, give or take. If you’re in transit on Highway 50, it’s still a superior option. The accommodations were very comfortable and the breakfast was especially good, the highlight being a french toast recipe I’m going to remember for a long time. Enthusiastic thumbs up!
- Heather (10/5): Best place ever! - This was the best B&B we have ever stayed at! The host is very sweet, the room was amazing and the town was just what we needed! Breakfast was to die for!!!!! Her French toast was the best! We will be going back!
- ruth (10/5): - Amazing customer service, we had some issues with hot water but nothing mayor we will stay there again for sure
- Phillip (10/5): A step back in time - Awesome owner Lori. She took the time with us, to give us a historical perspective of Trail City. The town (population 94) is full of history of the old wild west. There is also wonderful cafe one block away. It is a very peaceful town and a true treasure. The B&B was an old saloon brought from Trail City, after the town in Colorado devolved. The room was very comfortable a true gem.
- Alejandra (10/5): - Lori is the best Host very friendly, this is our second time booking her property and me and my husband love it. We will be definitely be coming back. Breakfast was very delicious. The Waffles were soo good.
- Al (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandra (10/5): - The host, Lori, is on top of everything. Bedding was first rate and I slept better than I have in a long time. Huge breakfast and chat over a cup of coffee the next morning sealed the deal. Very laid back and relaxing stay and I'll certainly be back!
- Toni (10/5): Lori served up an excellent breakfast and even better company. - Remote, quiet and comfortable couldn’t stay longer
- Linda (10/5): This is one of the best places you will find anywhere. We loved it! - The cabin was charming, clean and comfortable, with a great bed and luxury linens. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed visiting with the hostess while enjoying a gourmet meal. WiFi was available, even though it wasn’t listed as an amenity. There was nothing to dislike.
- Chris (10/5): Will definitely book a stay here again. - Breakfast was awesome! Room was historic but cozy and amenities were nice.
- Paul (10/5): Fabulous - This is a fabulous place to stay. The log cabin was full of those extra touches that show care and attention. The breakfast was delicious. It was lovely to meet Lori and learn about the history of Trail City. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place All good
- Christina (10/5): Exceptional - Nice, cozy, luxurious cabin with super comfortable beds and furniture.
- Karen (8/5): Overall excellent night. - Breakfast was fine and host accomodated my requests for earlier hour and specific foods. Door lock is difficult to manipulate
- Oboegary (10/5): Homey, Rustic and Comfortable at the Same Time - Such a nice cabin that we wanted to stay another night. Roomy main room and kitchenette with full size appliances. Breakfast (an option) was delicious. Owner gave good suggestions on things to do in the area and shared local history tidbits. There was flatware, glassware and some kitchen utensils, but only paper plates. Odd, but not really a problem.
- John (10/5): - We arrived after a long, exhausting drive and we’re feeling cranky. The moment we entered this delightful house, we relaxed and felt welcomed. Our room was beautiful, spacious and and charming. The bed was comfortable with abundant pillows. Bathroom facilities were very good. In the morning, breakfast was wonderful! Laurie was an excellent host and we enjoyed a nice chat with her about the town and all of our travels. I very highly recommend this B&B.
- Larry (10/5): - This is a wonderful property. A piece of history. Well managed, well kept and the breakfast alone is worth the stay!
- Jon (9/5): Amazing breakfast! - Best hotel breakfast ever! No exaggeration! Room was funky/offbeat but very comfortable. Bathroom spacious and all details covered. Tough to find with Google maps. Throw rug on the floor was a bit slippery against the floor. Can’t think of anything else.
- Johannes (10/5): Exceptional - The very friendly receival! :)
- Dennis (10/5): - Absolutely wonderful. Best breakfast imaginable! Wonderful local color and such a delightful positive and insightful hostess! A great place to soak in history of the old west and Santa Fe trail.
- Gerald (10/5): - Lori is an excellent host. Very helpful with my goofy reservation mistakes
- Daniel (10/5): - It was a great place to stay the cabin was spacious warm and clean. The breakfast was amazing i loved the location right off the main hwy
- Sherry Marie (10/5): - The staff was very polite and helpful. Loved the breakfast.
- Kenneth (10/5): - Fantastic!
- Scott (10/5): Kansas Oasis - There is no doubt that we will make another stop in Coolidge, KS so we can stay at the Trail City Bed and Breakfast. Even if it is only for one night, the breakfast alone made it worth the stop. We stayed in the Ace of Spades room and we had a very large area to stretch out and make ourselves at home. Just around the corner is a steak place we hear is fantastic.
- Suzanne (10/5): - Lori does an excellent job managing this place. She’s very easy to get along with and attentive to details. I’d love to extend my stay, but it’s booked. Lori and her daughter Tori provided an EXCELLENT breakfast!!!!!
- Robert (10/5): - This Bed & Breakfast is awesome. We will be staying here again in the future. The owner is very nice. The rooms are very nice. The breakfast was very good. The history behind this place is fascinating. My wife and I enjoyed our stay very much.
- Brett (10/5): - Friendly owners. Clean. Nice place.
- john (10/5): Jewel in the prairie - This BnB was excellent in all areas! A JEWEL in the prairie! Clean, comfortable, great breakfast, wonderful host, interesting history of the area, also. I would stay here again with no hesitation.
