- Michael (8/5): Great location and would stay here in the future. - Hotel bar is good, the location is fantastic, and overall the rooms are clean and put together. This is my second stay and while the first was a bit better I would stay here again. Bed was squeaky on one side, not a huge issue but it was staying more than one night it would have been annoying. Normal hotel pillow situation, which are always known to be terrible.

They charged my card after I tried to cancel through booking.com. They are not helpful and even though it’s obvious that no one In their right mind would allow a reservation to go on without being canceled, they chose to not be helpful. The management of this facility is uncaring and not helpful.

- Ly (8/5): - This downtown location is great - walkable to many restaurants, shops, and the state capital. We highly recommend the free guided tour of the state capital. Check-in was easy and free street parking on the weekend saved us $40 because we did not have to use the hotel garage. The room was spacious, clean, and stylish. However, we did not sleep well due to the wall AC unit being loud and we could hear the street traffic late into the night and early in the morning.

- Tracee (6/5): - The property worked great for our needs. We needed to book rooms last minute due to a flight cancellation and Aloft had availability. The area was filled with dining options since it was near the USC campus. We booked two rooms and while clean, one room had a distinct smell that reminded me of the smell of dog urine. We were told that the hotel was pet friendly. They sprayed the carpet in the room which worked temporarily but the smell came back unfortunately. We were able to get through the night but they should probably get rid of that carpet or remove it for cleaning.

One was Latash the LR Diamond, and the young lady who work at Verizon before Aloft. I felt like I was a prince visiting a nearby kingdom. Thank you, for making my homecoming pleasant!

Each time I called booking.com customer service the agent was very rude, wasn't helpful at all, and kept hanging up in my face. Each time I called somehow I continued to get the same rude agent😡😡😡😡 I'm highly disappointed in booking.com. I've booked through them for over 10 years and never had a problem. I will be disputing the charges from booking.com. Aloft lobby was very kept, that's all I can rate. One out of ten, I DO NOT RECOMMEND booking.com!!!!!!!!!!!!

- Charles (2/5): - Terrible experience. At check-in, staff weirdly warned me three times that the self-park gate “might not work” — as if that’s my problem. Room smelled bad, asked to switch, but the new one smelled the same. Uncomfortable bed, no water pressure in the shower. Also, elevator #2 still has a 2023 inspection certificate — pretty sure it’s overdue. 1/10. Skip this place and stay at the Cambria a block away — way better for the same price.
- ieshiat2018 (8/5): It was a good stay for one night - I went to Columbia to meet up with some of my classmates for a birthday dinner. The hotel was very clean, my room was very neat and tidy. The decor was very pretty and colorful. The beds were super comfortable. My only complaint was the noise on my 4th floor, other guests were running and taking loud in the halls early in the morning. I didnt report it because I was only staying one day as im sure most if not all of those guests were leaving that day. This was not against the hotel at all. I would surly stay again. Also, the valet serve was very convient. I had a good stay overall. I would stay again.

- David (8/5): - The area was very unique with a few shopping a restaurant options within walking distance. The room was a corner room and very spacious. The room just needed some minor detail changes. Example: the bathroom light and vanity area lights up the whole room with no option to close it off. The property was overall pretty good and a comfortable stay. The staff were excellent.

- James (4/5): Disappointing - It's well located. The hotel it's self is very nice. Stylish design in the rooms. Loved my rooms layout. Probably the hardest most uncomfortable mattress I've ever experienced. I literally woke up every couple hours in pain, twisting and writhing all night. Slept awful. Literally every couple of hours I'd wake up with and aching back and hips, no matter how I turned there was no relief. I don't own a special mattress at home, not even memory foam. This hotels mattress... felt like someone was getting revenge on me by making me sleep on this thing.

Almost no information on a frint desk. Bathroom and toilet are in the same space as kitchen area in the room. Tables at the lounge area are greasy. Breakfast is poor and there was almost no options for the kids.

- Gigi (6/5): - I was not a fan of the design, it felt like a dorm room by IKEA, small tight quarters, although the bathroom was spacious. Beds were comfy, but noise in the are due to college students was a bit too much.

- christG7963ZO (4/5): Stay Somewhere Else - better values in Columbia. - The front desk staff was below average, varied from inattentive to surly - surprisingly indifferent to hotel guests' needs and concerns. E.g., only one of two elevators was working during our stay and the front desk staff was didn't seem to understand the urgency of getting the elevator fixed. The hotel is very "modern" in a minimalist way. Concrete lobby floors, blank walls and faux hardwood floors in the hotel rooms. Kind of cold, but yet not clean feeling. The common spaces, especially the outdoor gathering space was inviting. Parking is lot is across the street and halfway down the block. It is labeled "Hyatt". The elevator in the garage did not work. When I mentioned the broken elevator to the front desk, they said "that's the city's problem. we don't own the garage." The may not own it, but they charged me $18/day to park there - the quoted rate at check-in was $15. I was told they were going to refund the parking charge, but they did not. I've tried calling the hotel, but no one answered. There is no email address.
- _dangus415 (6/5): Great but LOUD! - This hotel is very cute. The lobby is fun, cozy & inviting. There’s a bar, a fireplace, a pool table & cozy couches. The staff was pleasant. The rooms were nice. Bed comfortable BUT the noise factor - a big problem. If you are a light sleeper you will hear everything. I heard people laughing & talking loud. Doors were slammed at all hours of the night. I heard a vacuum at 3am & people arguing. The other members of my family slept right through this, but again, I am a light sleeper & could not sleep. Unfortunately I will not be returning.

- The_Twit (4/5): Friendly staff but bizarre room design - I stayed here for 3 nights with my husband and teenage son. The staff was super friendly - everyone you encountered said "hello" or "welcome back". Cookie the bartender is a gem! We appreciated the games in the lobby and the many different places to sit, work, or hang out. The garage next door was very convenient, although you can walk to a lot of restaurants. The downside was the actual room. There were surfaces to lay suitcases on, but not a dresser. The shower/toilet room had a translucent window that connected to the sleeping area, and the light in there was also the light for the sink area. This means that in the middle of the night when someone went to the bathroom, lots of lights went on and lit up the sleeping area. Why?! The sink was positioned in a way that lots of water fell behind it on the counter. We had to unplug our fridge because it was so loud. The pillows provided no support. It just was not a comfortable room.
