• Don (10/5): A beautiful B&B with wonderful hosts. - This is a very pretty B&B outside of St. Andrews. Fiona and Allan are great hosts, and were helpful in recommending how to get around the town. They even recommended a great place to have dinner, and Fiona called the restaurant to make a reservation for us. And the breakfast in the morning (not automatically included, but highly recommended) was delicious. Nothing.

• Denamur (10/5): - Host gave us lots of information on what and where to go. By mentioning the St. Andrews Golf Course is not played on Sundays, but open to the public, my husband was thrilled to walk the course and take pictures. Hostess made delicious breakfasts.

The location is ideal for a quiet stay with beautiful views and is central from all the gre - The location, cleanliness and the great breakfasts which Fiona prepared! The morning chats with Alan at breakfast about whisky, and his passion for Scotland will be missed and will ensure that Tarskavaig will be visited by us again! We can’t fault anything.

• Alison (2/5): Will not be back - Quiet rural setting. The host was very accommodation. Arrived at 8:40pm to a very unpleasant welcome and being told off for missing the 7pm check in curfew. Couldn’t order breakfast as were told hadn’t pre booked and didn’t have enough food!😟 hairdryer in room only blew cold air as element broken. Had to leave with wet hair. No one around the property to see us out so left without saying goodbye. You could get better value and a much better representation of Scottish hospitality elsewhere for the price.

They were even able to get us reservations at a local tavern for a party of 6 the night we rolled into town for our stay. Dinner was fabulous! Our breakfast at the Inn was delicious as well, and we had a wonderful stay! We also appreciated their assistance with the retrieval of our delayed luggage that we had delivered to their B & B.

• Tracey (8/5): We went away for a quick break and felt looked after and restored - Absolutely wonderful breakfast and lovely chat from the warm hostess. Plenty of coffee. The room was tastefully Scottish and we loved the coffee facilities in the room. Bathroom as clean as if I had cleaned it!! but the room looked bigger in the photos although it didn't make a scrap of difference to our stay. I appreciate that accommodation in the St Andrew's area is expensive, but I'm not sure a room and shower and breakfast (as nice as it was) is worth all that. To be honest though, it was on par with other properties of that quality in the area. It was just a surprise that that's what we got for our money!!

• Stephen (10/5): - Fiona & Allan were outstanding hosts. The property is a great alternative to staying in St. Andrews; an easy short 10–15-minute drive. Also, there are two great small distilleries close by. The property was very clean, comfortable, and in a very quiet setting. They provided guidance to a great local pub and called ahead to book table for us for dinner. The breakfast in the morning was from their own farm fresh eggs and was amazing. Would definitely stay again.

They were very helpful in directing us to some of their favorite restaurants in the towns around them, including St. Andrews, but others in nearby coastal towns. Informative regarding getting around St. Andrews and finding parking. The place felt like a welcoming home. No problems what so ever
