Guest Reviews
- debbie (8/5): GREAT PLACE TO STAY! - Suite Montecitorio was a great place to stay. We had a two bed room with a balcony. The location is close to many tourist sites and easy to get around. The staff was very nice and helpful. Hotel amenities were typical. The only negative things I can say is that the front desk is manned only until 8:00PM and the wifi was not very strong. If you are in Rome to tour the city and will not be staying in the hotel all day, I would recommend the Suite Montecitorio.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing room with a lovely view. Nice breakfast, friendly staff.
- Fabiola (4/5): Muy regular - Positivo: Bien ubicado.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location... office not open when we arrived & staff should take you to your room.
- Bill (6/5): - Great location. Very small room that was located in another building from the reception. Had to climb up and down stairs with luggage to get to the room. If you have trouble with stairs beware. Also be prepared of the small shower capsule. I must say that that Marget in reception was very nice and helpful.
- Grace (2/5): Upset - I paid extra money and was booked for a 2 double bed with balcony , but they put me in a tiny downstairs dungeon looking room with no double beds and NO BALCONY and were very rude about it all I was so disappointed and sad because I paid extra money and was told I had the 2 double bed balcony. It’s the reason why I laid more money for this room 2 months before arriving.
- mariana (8/5): - Localização excepcional. Fizemos tudo andando.
- James (2/5): Cute but disappointing - Very small but cute enough, the walls were so thin that they somehow managed to amplify the neighbors in the room next door so it felt like they were in the same room. The first night was terrible with rowdy neighbors coming home late but they checked out the next day and we had better neighbors for a couple nights. The last night we had loud neighbors again- I can't stress enough how thin the walls are. Perhaps the other rooms are better.
- Maria (6/5): - Mold on showerhead, wallpaper tearing away from wall, tv didn't work...finally got iron, a day after request for one. Won't return.
- Debbie (4/5): problems - My co worker and I arrived late and when I got settled the air condition didn't work. There was no one at the desk, so I tried to sleep with the window/doors open but it was very noisy. So I sweated. The next day they put me and my backpack in a taxi and sent me to their hotel Excellance 10 blocks away. My friend stayed there. The next day we had plans so I left my backpack and when I checked back in they said the room would be ready. I asked for them to get my back pack but there was no one available, they did not offer a taxi and I had to carry my backpack 10 blocks. I'm 61. Our flight got cancelled due to a french air traffic strike and we had to leave a day early or miss our connecting flight and after all my inconvience they would not return the last night's stay or any part of it.
- Claus (6/5): Småt - meget småt. God lokation. - Meget små værelser. .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Bra hotell!
- SusiR (8/5): Charming Hotel in Excellent Location - We loved this place and were sad to leave! The hotel staff was very helpful. Chiara assisted flawlessly with airport to hotel transportation and was quick to respond to our inquiries and also allowed us to check in a bit early too (at 12 noon). The room was comfortable and our wrap around balcony had a wonderful view. The bed was a bit firm but we slept very well. Also, the shower was piping hot and we never ran out of hot water here. House keeping did a great job keeping the room clean ( i would suggest a 1-2 euro tip daily). The only issue we had was with the toilet. It had a sulfurous odor which was likely due to a water leak around the base. We kept a towel over the small leak. We would definitely stay here again based on the excellent staff and the location. Rome was a wonderful place and we can't wait to visit again.
- Jenny (8/5): Small but comfy - Our room was tiny but comfortable. This is a great location near the Spanish Steps.
- Tina (8/5): - Good stay in Italy, was able to visit many attractions.
- Kjell (8/5): - Centralt, rent
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great place, great location. Would stay here again.
- Leonard (10/5): Nice hotel in the middle of most attractions. - The hotel was close to all attractions. Being in the construction trade, I did help them solve a odor problem. After that was fixed, we had a great stay. There was no breakfast, but plenty of restaurants close. We walked to all attractions and the electric bike tour is a must.
- Sabrina (10/5): Little slice of heaven! - The location is PERFECT. So central to almost everything you'd want to see in Rome. The hotel is adorable, with a great review of the city as well!
- Wantanee (2/5): Not like photo. not worth upgrading to Suite. - It was not like the photo. We initially booked the Residenzia Montecitorio as it was slightly cheaper but decided to upgrade but basically Reisdenzia and Suite was in the same building let alone and same location. Suite Montecitorio room was not like the photo in the site. the rooms were weird looking, bed were like dormintory
- Joseph & Jane (10/5): Hotel Experience, Service and Staff Review - We found our stay at the Residenza Montecitorio Roma to be a pleasant and positive experience in terms of the following factors:
1) Great location in Central Rome for using the Metro, Buses and Tram transportation services.
2) Great Staff- (Chiara, Maria, Sandro, Alonso and Alessandra) which were all provided excellent customer service and were always quite friendly at all times!
3) Hotel was modestly price and provided a clean and comfortable room.
4) Hotel location was near lots of cafe's, Pizza Shops, Restaurants and main fashion shopping strip on
Via del Corso .
5) Hotel provide 24 hour concierge services and building was kept secure at night by the building management by only allowing guess to enter the hotel.
Overall, we would highly recommend the Residendza Montecitorio Roma to our family and friends!

Gute Schalldichtung. Sauberkeit des Zimmer stark verbesserungswürdig
- Jan (10/5): Bra och centralt - Bra ställe
- Audra (10/5): Great stay - Perfect location. Minutes to Trevi Fountain and other attractions. Nice high ceilings and lovely Italian decor. Definitely recommend it!
- Jonas (10/5): Ótima Localização! - Hotel extremamente bem localizado!
- Jennifer (6/5): - Clean but extremely small room.
- Michelle (8/5): Great Location - We stayed at this hotel for the first 2 nights of our 10 day Italy vacation. This hotel was in the perfect spot for walking to Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and the Pantheon. Also, there are lots of shopping, restaurants, and Piazza's within steps of the hotel. Also, very near the hotel there is a taxi stop where you can find honest taxi drivers who will drive you to the airport, the train station or the Vatican. I like the proximity of the hotel.
- Jerry (6/5): Close to Many Attractions - If you are driving into Rome to drop people off, forget it! The streets are not marked well and the hotel sign is an 8x10 brass plaque on the building. The Carbinieri two blocks away couldn't even give me the right information and sent me the wrong way. Via Delle Convertite is 1 short block long and you should be told to get to Piazza San Silvestro on the north side which is a 1 way street that you can get to the hotel on right before Via Del Corso. Hardly any room to stop a car and drop off baggage and people.
Then in the hotel, there is no lobby. You have to go up an elevator to check in on the 3rd or 4th floor on one side and then go to your room to the 5th floor on the other and walk down to the 4th floor (unless you are in a room on the check-in side). The room held the 3 of us, but was cramped and the shower was very small, but did work good. Not enough shelving for toiletries, but then most of Italy is that way so far.
Staff was very helpful whenever we asked for places to eat or getting us what we needed. Two women, Chiara and Alessandra both spoke very good English and so did the night gentleman.
- Rashedia (10/5): Perfect Location - PERFECT LOCATION!!!!!Was a bit confused when driver dropped us off across the street but quickly understood why. Clean room with daily service available. I wasn't dissatisfied at all.
- John (4/5): - Was a nice room in good location. Bed was really hard though. The other issue was that the walls are paper thin. You can hear every word the people in the room next to us. Not that they were being loud, you could just hear every word. The bed shares a wall with the next rooms TV which was also an issue. Staff was very pleasant though.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Perfect location - Nice hotel in the perfect location. Close to everything. The room however wasn't so clean. The bed sheets were dirty and weren't changed daily. Besides that everything was great. The staff were very attentive
- Lianna (10/5): Beautiful room, fantastic service, great location - This is a wonderful, hidden gem of a hotel right in the centre of the city. You go through big gates and it's not too clear this is where the hotel is - as the building hosts a few different hotels - however this doesn't matter at all as once you take the lift up to Suite/Hotel Montecitorio it opens up to the most pretty and welcoming accommodation. It also means there is no noise from the street. Our room was very luxurious, impeccably clean and there was a superbly attentive and friendly reception service. The location is perfect too!
- Verified traveler (6/5): In the center of all the sights - Friendly and courteous staff. Though the room is nice, it is getting a little dated. The bed, however, was awful unless you like a VERY firm mattress. Being in the center of old Rome, the city noise can be a distraction and should be expected.
- Jesus (4/5): Rome experience - The only good in this hotel is the location, location is amazing, near to everything, the other points are below the expectations, our first room was very dirty and small, barely we can walk inside and manage our clothes, we change for other room at third day of our booking, was average.
- katerina (10/5): Great hotel - The hotel is in the best location. Walking distance to all the sights and tourist spots. Great value for money.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good and bad, suit some - Location brilliant, but entrance, and lobby awkward. The hotel is very basic not really offering breakfast. Some rooms are very noisy and cramped, others are more spacious. It was clean and the reception were moderately helpful with minimal English.
One needs to be able to cope with stairs.
The Hotel is one floor in a building with another hotel above and offices below.
Separation of area of rooms between different areas can cause problems with two doors and a public stair area between .
- Verified traveler (8/5): Central Rome - Clean, small room in central Rome with balcony, perfect as a base for sightseeing but not for spending lots of time in. Highly recommended for a short break.
- julie (8/5): Excellent Value for Money - Lovely clean hotel in a fantastic location central to most if not all monuments. Lady receptionist very helpful and lovely but unfortunately the night receptionist left a bit to be desired and could be very rude. Other than this small complaint, everything else was perfect. Would recommend to anyone who is thinking of visiting this fantastic city.
