Guest Reviews
- Ayaz (6/5): Overall good . - It was quiet. Shower head in the toilet was slow .
- Zied (6/5): -
- Celine (7/5): Satisfaisant - Très bon emplacement Les draps
- Johanna (10/5): - I had a great experience in the Warji House, the staff was very nice and the room was clean.
- Rob (9/5): - Ubud is super super crowded, but at this spot, there is quiteness No toilet paper. Big bummer. What do they want me to do? It's so unhygienic.
- Kowk (9/5): Generally enjoyed the stay for its convenient location - It’s very spacious especially with balcony seats and view. Nice lighting in the room. Staffs are very attentive and helpful. Some ants and flies around but I understand it happens for a tropical area.
- nguyen (9/5): This place is very convenient to travel around. - This place made me feel peaceful. The staff was so nice and gentle. It's convenient to travel around Ubud. Something in the room was old. The breakfast was so-so.
- Josefina (8/5): Very nice top rooms with a great view one minute from town - Great low budget property, top floor rooms are the best
- Laura (5/5): - The properly was exactly as advertised and what you would expect for the price paid.
It did what we needed it to do as we were out most days anyway. The staff were helpful and breakfast was nice . I think overall the room we stay in just needed a good clean. The curtains/mosquito nets were very stained and dirty. The facilities are good, but overall a bit dirty.
- Ankit (8/5): - Stay: Rooms were big and the upstairs rooms have cool views from the balcony! The bathrooms were old and didn't feel clean to me. Which I assumed is ok for the price but there are other places that do better. The sheets also had some stains, but were def washed. The staff was very attentive and caring though. So nothing on them!
Location: If you want to be in the heart of tourist area but be away from the main road, this is a very convenient place/solid choice. It was quiet in the room (except maybe the live music from nearby bar till 10:30pm and then they go quiet) and property, but I didn't love how much traffic and tourists there were as soon as we got to the main road 5mins walk away. Ubud is very touristy near Ubud Palace. Lots of great dining options though.
- Celine (9/5): -
- Charusheela (3/5): - It was in the citicenter No hygiene
- HILLARY SOFIA (8/5): - El Baño está supev sucio
- ANA PAULA (10/5): -
- Oubeychou (8/5): Very good -
- MIMOSE SAKI VALERIE (8/5): - Although it was a little inconvenient and unclean, it was not bad considering the price. The staff were kind, so if you feel inconvenienced, it's a good idea to ask for help. I was also able to borrow a hair dryer.
- Glenn (4/5): - I want a refund...
- Sandy (8/5): Staff and management were amazing. They were happy to help with any enquirer promptly - Great locations, very cute property with a traditional feel Shower water pooling on the floor. Towels need updating
- Lucy (9/5): Cute family run hotel that gives a great look into the beauty of the culture! - Location was amazing, property and staff were beautiful and helpful as well. They helped us get a great deal on a scooter for our stay too. Very comfortable bed and loves having the wardrobe. It’s a great deal in central Ubud and we would definitely come stay again! There is a bar next store that has a loud live band from 7-midnight every night. The curations could’ve been more blackout style for our liking.
Breakfast was also only 1 egg, bread, and fruit everyday.
Our only big complaint was the bathroom drains caused the bathrooms to smell all the time, the shower floor was slippery, the sink is a VERY slow drain, and not well lit.
- Elena (8/5): I'll be back 😁 - Lovely, cosy, rustic, and simple hotel right in the heart of Ubud centre.
It's only a 1 min's' walk to the main road, Jln Monkey Forest where you'll find a good massage place, many good eateries, and 5 mins' walk to Ubud Art Market and Ubud Palace. Right next to the hotel is the "Lokal Bar" which serves good food, a long list of cocktails, and good bands that played every night from 7pm to 10pm.
I had the Double room on the ground floor. It was very spacious with a big firm and comfortable bed, a big toilet cum shower and quiet air-conditioner.
I stayed for a week, and my daily morning routine was to sit in my balcony, have some fruits, 2 cups of coffee (it is fantastic that they placed a thermal flask of hot water + instant coffee/sugar/creamer every morning), and read my book.
It was so peaceful and a nice way to start the day before I ventured out.
The host is a very lovely lady who is able to communicate quite well in English. She was very friendly and helpful, and she'll also do her best to fulfil your request. Her staff were lovely, humble, and simple local Balinese. I liked them very much. Although the room is very clean, there are a few little things that can be improved; such as:
* the toilet bowl and sink could do with a bit of scrub to remove the stained marks, and
* the shower tiled floor could do with a bit of scrub to remove old residues so that it's not so slippery.
Apart from these, the room is perfectly comfortable.
- Zeb (8/5): Very good -
- Davide (6/5): Pleasant - Family and staff
Location Shower not working (without properly functioning hot / cold water mixer)
Dirty and humid linen
- Aramburu (7/5): Good - The property was really nice and comfortable Towels were old
- Terry (8/5): Perfect location, value for money. - It was in the center of town. Really quite place. There is a bar nearby that has live music everyday 7-10 pm. Except this the place is quiet. The sheets were dirty even when they changed them. They even had blood from previous stays.
- Bronwyn (10/5): Recommend this as a solo traveller - Great location between the monkey forest and the Palace. Walking distance to restaurants, trip operators, and next door to great bar with a lovely garden and live music. But very quiet at the hotel which was perfect. The hosts are so nice and the breakfast was great.
- Davy (4/5): Not the worst, definitely not the best. For the money probably ok. - The location is great since in the center of Ubud.
Staff is very welcoming and friendly. Each morning we have a little chat.
Garden is well maintained. Place (we were in apartment 2 downstairs) is not clean and not properly maintained.
Stains on curtains, beddings, and walls. On the wall of the bathroom even seemed to be a bloodstain. Lots of dust underneath the bed and in the little cabinet of the desk (where we put our valuables).
Also sheets and towels were not changed during the 4 nights we have stayed here.
Broken tiles in the bathroom, paint peeling of the walls, moisture stains and so on.
Really damp/bad smell in the (bath)room.
Water is either piping hot or freezing cold. Seems like temperature can't be regulated properly.
Renovation is not a bad idea.
- Saski (10/5): Perfect! - The location is perfect, right in the middle of Ubud. The rooms are clean and comfortable with very good AC.
The staff are superb! This is my 3rd time staying at Warji house and I would never stay anywhere else
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eleonora (8/5): Very good -
- Hemant (9/5): Superb -
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely staff. Friendly and helpful. Great location. Comfortable rooms kept very clean. There was a strange smell in the room.
- Rama (10/5): - Great staff!
- Barry (9/5): Peaceful location and clean apartment - Great location next to everything but down a quiet lane , staff very helpful and room was very clean with comfortable bed and good air con , breakfast good and brought to your room every day , hot water supplied for free coffee and tea All good
- Andrea (7/5): Good -
- Taylan (10/5): Exceptional - Thank you for the warm hospitality. Everything was nice. Every morning we had coffee in the balcony.
For this price unbeatable.
- Pramika (7/5): Good -
- Ari (7/5): Good -
- Natalia (9/5): Superb - The vibe of the place was wonderful! And the decorations were so beautiful. The people there were so welcoming <3 The bathroom could be in better shape. It was ok though
- Jackson (10/5): I - Room is very big and clean, the staff is very kind and friendly. The breakfast was great. The location is very close to ubud center and monkey forest, I recommended to stay in this place when you will stay in ubud . 100% i will back next year to this hotel Nothing, all good😊
- Szilard (10/5): Peacefull in the central of Ubud - It is really cosy. The garden is so beautiful, the rooms are clean and well designed. I love everything about this place.
- Dimitrios (1/5): Poor hotel in Ubud - Central location in Ubud. Nice verandah. Very poor ruined rooms, with horrible broken down bathroom. When trying to take a shower, the water would stay in the old bathtub filling it up, because the drainage was blocked. Breakfast was poor. Although we had booked our rooms since many months the manager has given us probably the worst rooms in the hotel. We asked to change rooms, but the manager said to us that this was impossible. Finally, after our protests she told us that she could possibly change only the third night from our 3-night stay without giving any details. However, during our last day in Ubud when we were obviously out on an excursion, she messaged us that she could not make the change because our suitcases were not closed. However, she had not previously confirmed the change of the room, neither had sent to us a notification about this. Generally we were very disappointed from this hotel, probably one of the worst we stayed in Indonesia.
- Shivani (10/5): Exceptional - Everything Nothing
- Ignas (7/5): Very good location - Nice place with nice stuff. Owner provided traditional clothing so we were able to visit local temples for ceremonies. Smell in bathroom
- Quin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tigran (9/5): Superb - The water was very hot
- Luke (2/5): Very disappointing - Arrived at the hotel around 2:45PM
And they looked confused as to our arrival,
Keeping in mind we booked 3 weeks prior for a twin room. Long story short we spent the next hour plus, back and forward…as they did not have a twin room available. They tried to ship us off to another hotel which was in an inconvenient location… the reason we booked this place was because it was on a very central road and location…. The way it was handled was poor… trying to convince us we should go elsewhere… and made it feel like it was our fault… when clearly they screwed up the booking..The owner told my friend they accepted people that came through on the day with money for a twin room… but it’s a complete joke…eventually around 4pm we gave up and said we’ll go anywhere…they sent us to another place that was cheaper and they made money on us no matter what. (please do not have an option available for twin room if you cannot honor this on arrival)…. It would have solved everything and we wouldn’t have booked there in the first place. FYI I looked up the price difference between the hotels original booking…. was about $50AUD per night - the one we were shipped off to was $38AUD…. We already had breakfast included on this as well… so it made no difference saying we’ll get breakfast at the second hotel…. Easily the worst experience I’ve had checking in anywhere… that’s from numerous stays in many places in Bali! Thankfully majority of places are really good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay - This was an excellent stay in a perfect location walking distance to all the hot spots right in ubud. The staff was very friendly and comfortable large room. The breakfast was included and decent. Good price stay for good location. The only downfall was the towel was old, so I used my own. Would stay again!
- Hamzah (8/5): Very good -
- Alexandra-i (8/5): Very good - The location is in the centre of Ubud, the room is spacios, with a terace in front of the room, place for coffee or tea, hot water every day. Very close a lot of shoppings, farmacy, markets, restaurant. It will be better if the room will be more clean for our standars and for Ubud the streets from the center of Ubud not to be so crowded - you need to be very carreful and a good driver for scooter.
- Reddy (8/5): Very good - Nothing No way going to hotel
- Wai (8/5): Money well spent - Great host and friendly sraffs. Good air con and wifi but warm/hot water for shower is not consistent. Roomy and clean, hot water for hot drink arrive daily morning. Closed to main Monkey Forest Road. Can order Grab car or bike for sight seeing outside town. Lots and lots of shops and eateries on the main road. Your money worth++++!
- Yee Ping (10/5): - Friendly staffs
- Kseniia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Megan (7/5): nice stay, wouldn’t stay again - Everyone on staff was so friendly and helpful every step of the way! nice breakfast located down a pitch dark alley that you have to walk to from the main road with all of your luggage. very uncomfortable bed and the A/C didn’t get very cold. decent value for the money I guess
- Maya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vincent (10/5): - Friendly staff
- Imogen (9/5): amazing host! felt like home :) - As part of our trip backpacking Bali we stayed for 4 nights at Warji house in Ubud. Widya was a fantastic host and helped us book the sunrise Trek of mount batur and our onward travel for really good prices! Breakfast is brought to your balcony in the morning which is a really lovely touch! The location is great, a quiet haven tucked just off the Main monkey forest Street. the rooms are quite basic but so comfortable and great value for money
- Eva (9/5): Superb - The miss Manager. She was very outgoing, kind, funny and helpful. Breakfast is served to a table on your terrace. Clean service is very good too. Ready to help with any issue. Loud sound of rain drops falling to the metal side roof. It was hard to fall asleep. Also the music program of a nearby restaurant was quite loud until 11pm. Depends on a side of your room.
- Jennie (9/5): The best value accommodation I have ever experienced - within the local community.
felt safe
clean and comfy
beautiful people
excellent value nothing
- M (8/5): In the heart of Ubud - A brief 2 night solo stay whilst visiting Ubud. Location is great, just tucked away in a back street off the main road in Ubud, literally about 4 minutes walk to the Palace.
Room, bed and accommodation was basic but adequate for a short stay, the bathroom is fine but could certainly do with being updated, though all functional.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating, serving breakfast on the patio at whatever time you wanted. Consisted of tea and coffee, omelette, toast and tropical fruit.
Great cheap clean and friendly base to explore Ubud by foot. Would stay again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Booked the twin room with balcony to begin with, however the bathroom was in such bad condition that we asked to switch to a double room instead. The staff was helpful in letting us switch, unfortunately we saw a cockroach in the bathroom one day but no reappearance. Breakfast so-so but works.
- Helen (8/5): - A really nice quiet place to stay, central, around 50 meter walk to the main Monkey Forrest road
- Verified traveler (6/5): - need to renovate because already old
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great, friendly staff. It was clean and very good location.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff was kind and caring. The room was clean and bathroom was roomy. Nice view and well air-conditioned. Breakfast is so so.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Perfect location and very friendly staff. The rooms are also cozy!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Funcionários maravilhosos, localização perfeita! Não tem do que reclamar.
- Salome (6/5): Warji House 1 not for me - Wont stay in this room again. Sewerage system needs updating. Bathroom was smelling really mouldy and bad. Toilet pot was loose. Very basic and i dont think its my kinda lodgings. Maybe more for the younger traveller
- Verified traveler (8/5): - In good location, quiet but close to main street. Basic but comfortable
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff was amazing and extremely helpful very helpful and kind. The place is on a tiny back street next to the monkey forest road so it's very quiet in spite being a 1 minute walk from the noisy main road, which is awesome. From our room you could even see a beautiful sunset! We will definitely stay here again.
- Christine (10/5): - Great location and within walking distance to shop, food and tour. Breakfast is standard and good taste. Will return to this hotel again
- Jesssss (4/5): - Host was helpful and location is great. However you get what you pay for.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Nice location, friendly staff, extremely cheap, Bed sheet can be cleaner
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very nice, centrally situated hotel. Great options for breakfast.
- Paul (10/5): - It was a good choice - close in to the centre of town but quiet. The staff were very nice and the overall ambience was great. It was a small hotel which meant good service, breakfast on our terrace in the morning was a nice touch..
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Rooms are well organised but some rooms smell extremely musty, some less and some does not smell at all. I had to ask for room change because I couldn't breathe inside the room. Other than that, good value for money.
- Verified traveler (4/5): The smell... - The room has a terrible smell. It's soo bad. The bathroom could use good cleaning. The room was large.
- Stephen (10/5): Amazing value - This was one of the best properties we have ever stayed. Huge room very modern and clean. Nice people and breakfast served on your terrace. A bargain for what you pay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Underpriced gem - Excellent clean and modern room in a very convenient location. So underpriced - could have been worth it at triple the price! I wish I had stayed there for all of my days in Ubud.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Central and pleasant. No Pool. - There are so many accommodation options in Ubud. I wouldn't say it is a 'must stay' but it was clean and friendly and central. There was a pleasant view from the upper rooms. But the live entertainment was pretty loud at night, although it didn't continue very late into the night.
- Laura (10/5): Lovely hotel in Ubud - Difficult to find Warji House 1, lovely room with very friendly staff!
- Elizabeth (10/5): Great location, great room. - It was in a great location, just off the main road, so everything was easily accessible but it was still quiet. It was a little difficult to find but we asked a local and they helped us out.
The breakfast was lovely, you could have tea and coffee for free in the evening on the porch which was a nice way to wind down. The staff were all very friendly and overall the room was very nice.
- DIANA (10/5): No regrets. - Amazing people - very helpful; helped us book activities during the day. Great location - right on the Monkey Forest road, but not too close to the monkeys. Walking distance to nice cafes and little shops. Quiet within the hustle and bustle.
- Verified traveler (10/5): beautiful hotel with good location - we really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and with good hot shower & air condition. Breakfast served was ok. But the bed sheet was a bit smelly. Good service from the staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room is clean and big, the baconly is very good, the manager is nice, trying to extend my stay even the room is fully booked
- Margaret (10/5): Great - Fantastic, clean, comfy and great location.
- Hugo (10/5): - Comfortable, very quiet and great location, very nice staff
- kerri (10/5): My new favorite home in Ubud - Beautiful in every way! So peaceful and pretty! Beautiful Decor, clean, in fact spotless! Perfect location in the middle of town yet tucked away on a quiet street. I will definitely make this my "go to" home away from home while on business in Ubud. Loved it!
