They did try and fix it for us but that smell was horrible. Room was clean and staff was very friendly but the smell made it bad.

- Ian (4/5): - It started great, with a friendly lady at the desk. The suite was roomy, but a bathroom door was wedged open—it would not move or close. The doors to a bedroom did not close right, and other areas looked worn, stained, with holes and in need of maintenance. One sink and tub didn’t drain well. I told the front desk very kindly the next morning. I was told maintenance didn’t work on the weekends but she’d call and let me know. No one came and I never heard from them again. The second night there was a child or someone running above me, I think, after midnight for quite some time. I tried the front desk and no one answered, so I tried pounding on the wall but not sure that did anything. I’m guessing my room has been a great place for oilfield workers to crash.

I was able to make him a home cooked meal which is such a comfort when you work away from home often! When he needed to get to bed the kids and I enjoyed being able to stay up without disturbing him. The pool area was great, all of the staff were very nice and the room was so clean! Liza at the front desk was so welcoming and helpful! The only thing I will do differently when we stay again is bring my own sharp knife for preparing meals (the one provided got the job done so I’m not complaining at all!!).

- Diana (2/5): DO NOT RECOMMEND - First off the room wasn't very clean, coffee stains on the counter and the floors weren't vacuumed. Had to use the bathroom when we got in after fighting the awful luggage trolly that barely rolled. The bathroom showed how little quality the building actually was, the smaller backsplash tiles in the shower werent aligned at all, the grout lines were all disgusting. The "living room" TV had terrible signal and was pixleated 90% of the time if not black. The water temperature in the shower is hot only, we got a noise complaint almost immediately due to cardboard build quality of the hotel. The floor tiles were not stuck down properly, stepping on them made them tap on the grout that was supposed to hold them. The linoleum fake wood floor pieces in the kitchen would lift if you stepped on them barefoot. The door sizes were ridiculous, both bedroom doors were 2 small doors that should have just been 1 door and the toilet room door was too wide. We paid $315 for a single night in their nicest room. Huge disappointment. The pool if you wanted to use it with other guests is way to small for the building capacity. The entrance looked amazing, and the lobby was nice, there wasn't anyone on the desk till it was checkout time.. also we made the mistake of breakfast with them, the yogurt was expired the danishes were hard and the frozen breakfast sandwhiches were also low quality. This was a terrible honey pot situation, I would not recommend this hotel, cost to quality was very far off.

- 512deborahf (10/5): Almost as good as home. - We had to go to Odessa because while in Alpine visiting a client my husband had a heart attack. He was care lifted to Odessa and we booked these rooms sight unseen. We were so glad we did. This Staff is awesome. Everyone is excellent. They have breakfast in the morning and a meal with beer and wine in the evening Mon.-Wed. That is complementary. We were so happy is was good and we didn't have to go back out to eat as the weather was bad. The rooms were clean. I recommend this hotel to anyone
- russellwG6469NO (2/5): Won't make it right - updated 1/1/2020 - Booked a room at this location. Checked into said room to discover the heat wasn't working. We were switched into a much smaller room with a cheaper rate and now they refuse to credit the difference. I'm not asking for points or empty apologies (both offered by IHG as location management and staff unwilling to even acknowledge that anything was wrong). When I contacted IHG customer service the day I checked out I was transferred a couple times and promised a call back with a resolution which never occurred. IHG did respond to my initial TripAdvisor review basically putting it back on the location to make it right and thus my updated review. Had been staying at IHG locations since I was a kid, over 30 years, because of this stay I'll refuse to stay at another IHG property. It's something that could have easily been addressed and fixed - the other chain I now use exclusively won't even let it get to the point that you have beg for them to do the right thing!

Basic but functional Need to take car to eat since there is nothing at walking distance Parking is packed full of big pickups late evening, almost with oilfield equipment and trailer... not easy to find parking if you come back late
- 625ednab (10/5): Be aware if staying one night - Everything is comfy, and a great place if you are staying longer term. For us staying overnight, no ice machine, no paper cups to use for the night. The suite did have a full kitchen with cook-top; did not look in all the cabinets but I bet there is all you would need. In our particular room, the bathroom door scraped on the floor such that you need to lift it to get it open.
- snorklefiend (10/5): Fantastic place - Friendly staff, great online rate, especially when we used my AAA discount. Got 2 rooms for the price of 1. Rooms are nice sized, and well equipped. Traveling thru while moving cross country. Easily the best place we stayed. Great value for the $$. Beautiful pool area with several outside seating areas. Only issue, due to blowing dust some. Key card entries didn't work.
- michaelmT3865YL (2/5): Most horrible staff in the world - Bethany the front desk manager is a pill popping junkie. She comes to work drooling high on seroquel. I came down stairs multiple times to get my hotel receipt and she was drooling on the keyboard. The sales manager Atia is incompetent at her job. I placed a reservation two weeks before I was scheduled to go home. The reservation was for my return after being home for a week. They waited till the day that I was checking out to tell me that my reservation was no good. I spoke with atia to place the reservation originally and she told me that the reservation was good. The cleaning staff will check to see if you have a do not disturb sign at 7 am. If u left it on the door past 7am good luck getting your room cleaned that day. Homeless bum sleeping in the pool area bathroom... I stayed here for 4 months. Horrible place. Fyi the attached photo is bethany so stoned she can't even tuck her plastic in on her shirt. Drooling on the keyboard.
- Athomasp (10/5): Outstanding - I have stayed at this hotel several times. Staff and facilities where excellent not to mention the food! The room was clean and quite. Did I mention they have a shuttle! Really made flying in simple. I would totally recommend this hotel for work and or business.
- ASP-78 (2/5): If you like a dirty room this is the place! - I usually enjoy staying at Staybridge Suites but not this one! I was welcomed as a "normal" member and that was it. I didn’t get my welcome bonus as one should get at my level. Then I go to my suite (I booked as that was all they had left) see the sofa was not "tidied up". The cushions were all over and the TV remote was as if someone was in the room watching it. So, I looked to make sure the room was not occupied. Then there was no popcorn in the kitchen, the kitchen trash was not emptied, some of the cutlery was dirty, the scrubber was dirty, the cabinet doors seemed to never have been cleaned since the construction, the microwave was dirty, and the floor was NOT vacuumed as I stepped on something sharp and found 1 staple on the carpet. Now for the bathroom. The sink was not cleaned/wiped down, the shower head was dirty, and the mirror was really not well cleaned/wiped down. The room the bed was clean as I pulled it apart to make sure it was but the carpet was dirty as not vacuumed and found a 2nd staple on it?!? I spoke to the MOD that night and sent her an e-mail with the pictures asking for the GM to call me that Monday. 1 week later still no call, no email, and I did NOT get the survey I always get at the end of every stay and find that sad how hotels can opt you out to keep their ratings up. So, as you can see this was a horrific stay. Now I was offered to have someone come over and clean my room and/or change room. I was in the middle of a 16-hour drive so once I check into a room I want to relax and not repack everything to move and then who is saying that the other room was cleaner?? I was then offered 2000 "I'm sorry points" and did not get them but that's a normal IHG thing as this is not the 1st time I was offered points and never saw them.
- bmassociatebroker (8/5): The Good, The Bad, & The REAL UGLY! - I stay in hotels over 200 nights per year, so I see a lot of good, a lot of bad, and a lot of ugly. I stayed at that this hotel for a total of 16 nights in room 407. THE GOOD: The hotel is new and has an awesome pool/patio area with grills and a fire pit. The TV lounge is really nice and homey and you can't beat using the FREE washer & dryer. I really enjoyed the fitness room which is spacious and has above standard equipment for a hotel. The front desk and kitchen staff are wonderful and always accommodating. Although I was gone most mornings before breakfast, the one time that I did have the opportunity to eat, I found it to be full of variety....hot & cold options to suit every taste bud. The Mon - Wed social fare was fresh, filling, and tasty. It was an actual meal and not just a bunch of heated up finger foods. I really loved the fact that they splurged a little and had some premium wine...2 thumbs up! THE BAD: My room door didn't lock automatically when you shut it. Once it closed from the outside, you could just turn the latch and walk right in. I didn't notice this until about day 5 when I forgot something and had to return to my room and was shocked that I turned the knob and it opened right up. I did bring it to the attention of the front desk person who stated that this is a known problem on some of the rooms. I guess I could have asked to move, but once I get settled, I hate moving. So anytime I left, I would have to SLAM the door multiple times for it to shut and catch the lock. This was extremely annoying and probably a disturbance to my neighbors because I was slamming the door at 5:30 in the morning. Therefore, I just hung my DND sign on the door and made sure it was locked each morning before leaving.....and this is where the UGLY comes into play.... THE REAL UGLY: After staying in a gazillion hotels over the years, I have never, ever come across a more horrific housekeeping staff in all of my life. When you check in, you will be given a day that your room will have a "full service" clean (mine was Thursday). In between your designated cleaning day, if you so desire, they will enter your room to empty the trash and change out the towels. Now keep in mind, my "Bad" above....Although, my DND sign was on the door, housekeeping would enter at their discretion and then off course the door would be left open!!!! My top was blown on numerous occasions and I let the front desk know it. DND means DND!!! For some reason, they just didn't understand that. My colleagues and I complained about this relentlessly. And when they did enter with my permission, they'd take the dirty towels, and not leave any fresh ones.....if they took the trash, they didn't leave a trash bag or change out the towels. I had to go to the front desk twice to request toilet tissue. On my 1st full service clean day, they changed the sheets, but didn't clean the shower, didn't sweep, didn't vacuum, nothing....Of course, I called the front desk and they sent someone else to finish the job. Now, on my 2nd "full service" cleaning day....mind you, I've been gone from 5:30am - 6:30pm.....I walk into my "open" door again to find the dirty bed sheets placed in a corner, no clean sheets on the bed , shower uncleaned, trash not emptied, makeup stains from where I had a spill still on the counter, absolutely nothing cleaned...On a scale from 1 - 10, I'm at 2000 about now!!!! I go to the front desk in tizzy, demanded sheets, towels, trash bags and everything to do it myself. I would have felt better if at check-in, they would have said that they didn't have a housekeeping staff and handed me a cleaning kit and instructions of where to get clean towels and empty my own trash. Then to top off my long and frustrating day, around 8:30/9pm, I hear a knock at the door..."Housekeeping." I'm like, "ma'am if yall can't clean my room in the 13 hours that I've been gone, there is no way you're entering now that I'm about to go to bed." I only had a couple more days left before checking out and refused any more service....they had worn me down. One of my colleagues even made a complaint because she was missing items from her room. I don't know whether the problem is with management or the workers, but Staybridge, GET IT TOGETHER!!!! In closing, I would stay here again....
- F8739ZLdanf (10/5): Excellent in every way - Great room, quiet, cool, very friendly staff. Breakfast way above usual fare. Fruit, cold cuts, served on chinaware and glass. This place makes a very big effort to insure comfort and a quality feel. Bath amenities excellent. Have a feel that needs are anticipated and met beforehand. Good price.
- DLV4323 (4/5): Who in the world did they get to design this motel? - This is a brand new property - only open about 3 or 4 months and it's the biggest collection of screwups compiled together in one location that you could imagine. Let's see - the door on the kitchen cabinet opens from left to right which is OK except the cabinet is located over the stove and countertop in such a way that you can't stand in front of the cabinet. You literally have to contort your body to reach around the cabinet door to reach in. And, get this - there is no drawer for the silverware. The silverware is placed in a plastic tray on top of the counter. Seriously, I'm not making this up. The drain cover in the shower is off the drain. The door on the icebox fails to close properly. On the positive side, one of the nicest desk clerks that I have run into in a long time.
