• parvathyi2025 (10/5): The Ubud gem Sapodilla. - Our beautiful experience in this classy and cozy Boutique resort started with the welcoming message from Rasmini even before we landed here!Sapodilla has an ancient Balinese facade with clean tidy rooms with modern facilities and clean linen.It is quiet ,despite being one minute away from a busy vibrant street .They are near many attractions yet they provide shuttle service!! The Shoga kitchen is another blessing for us. We are vegetarians and don’t take even eggs. But the team there prepared delicious and also healthy veg meals which was so good that we ended up having all our meals on all days there!!The Tariff and food prices are reasonable and the portions generous.We would like to thank all staff of this resort .Our special thanks to Rimba ,Wina, Ngurah, Bhaskara.At the hotel reception Riyanthi and Satya.and another male staff.Shoga kitchen made veg version of Indonesian dish Gadu Gadu .Lucky us to have found this gem.

From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, and extremely professional (Rianti, Risma, Krishna). The breakfast buffet was extremely delicious and unique. The best highlight of oyr stay was service, service and service.

The team are available for any needs and go above and beyond what is required of them. They make you feel as if nothing is too much. Centrally located in Ubud the hotel offers free transfers to the centre of the town and will pick you up again if needed. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

• ju (6/5): - Certainly the breakfast and shuttle to the nearby town center were convenient features. We appreciate the at will shuttles. Staff service was subject to personnel and if we can go along with her preferred service given. At the restaurant a lady seemed to be unhappy when I tried to understand the choices. minutes before getting on the Grab to depart, impression was shattered when I tried to verify the final bill. My question was ignored. Rather than respond directly to the question, she snapped and told me to sign. That was quite regrettable to have experienced that poor attitude. Consistancy was luxurious from staff to staff. Mosquitoes control was excellent. This was important and sure glad we were not feeding them.

The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making my stay feel special from start to finish. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and set amidst peaceful tropical gardens—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The breakfast menu is amazing, with plenty of delicious options to choose from each morning. Plus, the hotel is within walking distance to many great restaurants and cafes, which made exploring Ubud even better. I especially loved the little touches like afternoon tea and the free shuttle to town. I can’t wait to come back—highly recommended!

I like to walk more than taking cars/scooters, this hotel is located within walking distance to the monkey forest, markets etc. and have a free shuttle to assist everyone as well. Will absolutely stay here again when I am in Ubud!
• Natalia (10/5): - This is a nice little hotel in Ubud (it’s IN the city, so good if you are planning to go to yoga, salons, shopping. If you want secluded jungle, this isn’t it). Bed is comfortable, pool is great and the courtyard is generally cute. Breakfast options are good. I loved the free shuttle that can drop you off and pick you up anywhere in town. Overall, great value for money.

The breakfast at Sapodilla is outstanding with so many options to choose from. The best hotel breakfast I have ever eaten. The hotel room was Beautiful and extremely clean. The pool was so scenic and a great space to relax. The location is perfect as there are loads of great restaurants and shops nearby plus it’s a short walk from the yoga barn studio or a very short drive in the hotel transfer. Overall we had a fabulous stay.

• Eng Soon (8/5): - The hotel location is not easily visible from the street and one has to look out for the signage. It provides complimentary shuttle to and from Ubud Centre. It also runs the adjacent Japanese restaurant which serves breakfast to hotel guests in the morning. Food from the restaurant is good. One can also find a lot of dining options along the same stretch of road. We are impressed with the excellent services by the hotel staff who were very helpful and responded swiftly to our requests. Some areas of improvements that the hotel management can consider are stronger water pressure from the shower facilities and brighter lighting in the room.

Enjoying breakfast on my private balcony or in the restaurant is a lovely start to the day. Afternoons are spent relaxing by the pool, which is always at the perfect temperature. Located away from the bustling streets, Sapodilla offers a peaceful retreat. Nearby is good coffee at Mushroom Espresso, money changers, Jaens Spa ( a must-visit), and restaurants, it's the ideal location for relaxation and exploration.

Breakfast was way more than expected. Location was very central so very easy to get to the main streets, monkey forest and other attractions. Would definitely recommend!

Extensive breakfast menu with delicious options and huge portion sizes. Even for Balinese standards exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff, we were greeted by name everytime we entered the hotel (special mention to Eka and Putri at the reception desk). Easy organization of tours and transfers at a very reasonable price. Free shuttle bus to central Ubud, which is very convenient and a big bonus. We highly recommend this hotel and would come back any time without hesitation!

• anneettaR1223LW (10/5): Perfect hotel in Ubud - Sapodilla is the perfect place to base yourself in Ubud. Tucked behind the main road it is an oasis of quiet and serenity. This is a small hotel with a great pool area. The rooms are spacious and you feel as if you are staying in someone's home. The friendliest of staff constantly saying hello by our names made us feel very welcome. They gave a complementary shuttle service to the main attractions like Monkey Forest or the Palace. The restaurant and breakfasts were generous and lovely. Highly recommend
• Hannah (10/5): A perfect hotel with fantastic service - We had an incredible stay at Sapodilla. The staff are very attentive and always ready to help out. The hotel is beautiful, the pool is perfectly maintained and clean, and our room was excellent. We had breakfast brought to our room each day and the food was delicious, so fresh. I cannot recommend this hotel more, the location was perfect, an easy walk to restaurants and cafes, and even the Monkey Forest. The onsite restaurant is also delicious and we had dinner there with a lovely voucher from the hotel. We'll definitely come back here, it was perfect.

We felt so welcome and the staff of Sapodilla went out of there way to care for our needs The afternoon tea with fresh treats was very nice and the driver was always available to take us to Ubud center. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast was the best we have ever had in a hotel. The swimming pool and garden was lovely and very clean. We loved everything about it, location just outside Ubud but still close to restaurants and bars. After dinner they made our room ready for the night. • astorw (10/5): Small but gorgeous hotel + Brilliant staffs like our 2nd home - We enjoyed 2 nights stay in this cozy hotel. The location is closed to Ubud city centre, walking distance to lots of restaurants, pubs, spa & massage shops, convenience stores and small night market nearby. The staffs are incredibly friendly, we were welcomed by Rasmini from a refreshing welcome drinks and cold towels. She is very nice and attentive as we were impressed when she greeted us with our names every time we in and out from the lobby. Our room is spacious and clean, with a king-sized bed which is enough for us (a family of 3). Both of us had a good sleep. There is a small lovely pool on the ground floor. Besides that, we can easily request/ask anything through WhatsApp, which is very convenient. Don't miss the breakfast, it was amazingly great, with multiple options! We would recommend and definitely stay at here again.
• Christopher (10/5): Honeymoon Bliss - We stayed at Sapodilla for 4 nights as part of our honeymoon Bali trip. Set just off from the busy street, the serenity means you dont even notice that but its very handy when you want to explore the surroundings. The room was beautiful and spacious. We had a balcony which had private steps to the lovely pool. The bed was spacious and comfortable and had a mosquito net if you're that way inclined though we had no issues with bugs. A large shower and stone bath ensured cleanliness in a luxurious fashion and the wide variety of breakfast ensured you never get bored. What truly sets Sapodilla apart is the service - a friendly smile at every turn and the use of whatsapp to keep in touch means any question or request you have is answered almost instantly. Their shuttle service is very thoughtful, saving on taxis if you need a quick lift to the monkey forest for example. There's a reason that Sapodilla is so highly rated, do yourself a favour and see for yourself.

The manager contacted me and communicated with me efficiently on the matter. Also, she gave me options as well because of the issue. The sister hotel Sabana is very clean, good wifi and the staff is friendly. The sister hotel is about 200 meters from Sapodilla, brand new (built-in 2019), and on a quiet road.

The breakfast was okay and needs some work. But the other food options were great. If you need anything, just speak to the staff. A very unique experience. Different from other places. • Reece (10/5): Amazing! - The staff here really know how to make you feel like home (only better!) - every time you leave or return, they will always welcome you 'home' by your first names. They gave us a basic mobile phone to use and keep with us in case of any issues whilst exploring and even provided a free taxi service during our stay for anywhere within the local area. Nothing was ever too much trouble and this place is a true oasis (you would never believe this is just off a main road, nor could you tell once you're lounging out by the pool). We stayed in the poolside King's suite which was cleaned and prepared twice daily! We cannot recommend this place highly enough!

The room was very large with a gorgeous balcony. I still dream about the bathtub, pool and the room service was delicious. I also tried the floating breakfast and flower bath, AMAZING! The shuttle service was great but the location was so convenient that I didn’t even need it. I plan to stay here again in the future.

They gave us a mobile to call them if we needed anything, whether in the hotel or out and about. There was a little bottle of insect repellant on our balcony. Great stay if you are in ubud for a few days. The main streets can be chaotic, busy and overwhelming. The hotel is set just back off the main road and it feels so peaceful and tranquil. Would stay here again if we returned without a doubt.

• Jan (10/5): - We stayed in 3 places whilst in Bali and this was our favourite. It’s a haven of calm off the busy Ubud streets. The staff are friendly, hardworking and very professional. The rooms are large and immaculate. We loved having a poolside room. The pool was never busy and we could always get poolside sun beds. We had our breakfasts outside our room which was lovely. A free ‘afternoon tea’ was served but be aware that the treats are not like European cakes! ( one was a deep fried leaf!). My partner enjoyed trying the different things though. It was a bonus to have a free taxi service within Ubud. We used it a couple of times but also did a lot of walking. A welcoming and peaceful place. Highly recommended!

• Mei Leng (10/5): Gem resort in Ubud - Love the flexible shuttle service which need not start or end with the resort! They provide bottle of water even for your excursion. Well design of room which has a walk-in wardrobe next to the bathroom and toilet, separated from the bedroom. Big fluffy towels, sea salt for bath tub, even handy bottle of insect repellent provided. Yummy breakfast with many options. Not forgetting the caring and thoughtful crew and Yuli. Despite a bit of hiccups which were not their fault, they went beyond our expectations and we were very happy with our stay. Two thumbs up!
• Agnes (10/5): Post Sailing Oasis - Our stay was fantastic, a tranquil oasis in the middle of a bustling street. We love the pool and grounds and really appreciated the extremely helpful staff, and the delicious White Ginger restaurant just steps away from the rooms. The breakfast options where delightful, as the PodTia and the Duck at dinner. The shuttle service was the best we experienced on our trip. Namaste and Thank you Sapodilla

However, an adjacent gas station makes repairs on metal (loud electric sawing) until the evening and there is no closure separating the gas station fr the hotel. This, you can hear all of the street noise from this opening. The sound of cars, scooters, and motorcycles goes on from about 8 am to 1 am. The hotel can build a cement structure between its boundary with the gas station to block the sawing and street noises. We stayed in room 202, long side of the pool, second floor. We recommend that you ask for a room on the short side of the pool, as far fr the street and gas station as possible. Not sure if there is a room 216. The rooms upstairs started at 200 or 201 and were by the guest reception; this area is very loud. Vroom, vroom, saw, saw.

The room was also very large!! Balcony was great. The staff were amazing, so friendly and so accommodating. They provide transport via motorbike or car anywhere in downtown Ubud and even give you a cell phone that you can use to call them (for transport or to order breakfast to your room). Such a nice touch and made all the difference for a solo female traveler like myself. Great price for your stay. Breakfast was also tasty and plentiful!! It’s about a 10-15 minute walk to all the shops and downtown area, so not far at all and very doable and enjoyable. The wifi was perfect, didn’t have any issues, was even able to video call.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - Excellent small hotel. Small grounds, lovely pool. Rooms big, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great every morning. A selection of 5 different multi course menus. Served with exceptional service in the hotels restaurant, white ginger. It situated on the south of centre one of the Main Street running into to centre. About a twenty minute walk past endless shops, eateries, etc. Only short walk to monkey forest. The hotel is happy to shuttle you nearly anywhere and bring you back. The staff were really wonderful. If you want a hotel not far from centre this is good. There are resort hotels a bit out with big grounds, more jungly and the like for similar price but you can't just walk out the door of these to multiple restaurants. I'd def recommend this hotel.

The room was decently spacious and very clean. All rooms have pool view. We got an upper floor room which provide more privacy. Balcony of ground floor rooms open directly towards pool. So if you like enjoying poolside, then go for ground floor rooms. They also provide free pick up and drop to anywhere within Ubud. They provide a mobile device for room service and you can take it outside as well, to call hotel when you need pick up back to hotel or anywhere else in Ubud.

Amazing staff, fantastic, large room, great pool and superb extra touches - free mosquito repellent left for us (and topped up regularly), a phone to take out with us so we could call the free shuttle any time and even free afternoon tea each day if we wanted it! Don't hesitate to book, we loved it.
• Melanie (10/5): Excellent hotel, faultless service - We loved staying at Sapodilla, the staff were fantastic, the room felt really luxurious and all the little added touches (mosquito repellent left on our table and regularly topped up, universal adaptor plug in the room, umbrellas provided and the free shuttle available whenever we wanted it) meant we felt thoroughly pampered. The staff in the cafe knew exactly how I liked my soya milk pancake and that I don't like papaya after a day or two, and they were so welcoming to our little boy. I did some classes at the Yoga Barn which was withing ten minutes walk, and there are some excellent restaurants around. The hotel provides a mobile phone to take with you, so you can call the shuttle from anywhere in the town to be collected - this was invaluable with a little boy in the monsoon rain. It is a really fantastic place to be, I felt really sad to leave.

Breakfast was included and was good. Only negative was the not-so-great wifi connection. Absolutely loved the small details including the hotel provide a delicious smelling bug spray. Highly recommended
