Guest Reviews
- Ronald (7/5): Prima hotel.
"Only" English breakfast. (Toast, eggs, beans & bacon). Er had wel iets van kaas o.i.d bij gemogen.

- Keri Reason (10/5): I love it will call again - Nice quiet easy to locate, affordable Radiators on the corridors it was too warm
- Lukasz (10/5): Wszystko dobrze - Wszystko jest ok, w stosunku jakości do ceny

- Derek (7/5): Pleasant little break and will stay again when in the area. - It’s located just outside of the beautiful city of Dunfermline. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and the staff work hard to keep everyone happy.
The food is good reasonably priced with a varied menu. It was all fine with nothing really negative to say.
- anne (8/5): - Très bon rapport qualité prix

- Carl (8/5): Charming hotel, pleasant staff, tidy, clean and comfortable surroundings. - Breakfast fabulous. Though was surprised it was not a 'scottish' breakfast My particular room was more than adequate for my needs but its proximity to (what i assume is) an aircon unit? had an electrical humming all night disturbing my sleep
- Milos (8/5): -
- robert (4/5): - Close to the airport and the shower was hot. The breakfast in the morning was cold and not a very good choice. The remote control for the tv in the room was filthy.
- Johnston (8/5): Comfortable and welcoming. - The room was lovely. Staff friendly. Food very good. Room was on ground floor looking out at carpark. A car parked right outside window so no privacy. Had to close curtains despite it still being daylight. Blinds or screen would allow more privacy. Doors to rooms very noisy on closing which disturbs other guests. We could also hear guests in next room talking so not very sound proof.

- Andrea (4/5): - Ristorante molto accogliente e cibo buono.

- christinagP260JL (10/5): Lovely Hotel, Friendly Staff. - Would highly recomend anyone visiting Dunfermline to check out the Adamson Hotel. I cant fault this place-Staff are really friendly and helpful, thank you to Naomi for aquiring a shower mat for me which was really appreciated. Rooms modern and cosy, also ground floor, food choice is great, nice beer garden, minutes from Dunfermline makes this hotel ideal. 😊
- azsmin (7/5): Convenient hotel and restaurant in West Fife - Friendly and efficient young staff, great access and parking, good restaurant for dinner, comfortable bed. Just a few things that could be improved in the room to give this a very good rating, such as a new (working and clean) remote for the TV, some cosmetic upgrades to the toilet/shower room (fix broken tiles). Also no hot water in shower or basin on arrival - sorted by morning; is the water-heating on an overnight system?
- VickyNazer (9/5): Really nice place, just alittle feedback - Lovely friendly staff, very attentive. Large clean room. Food was excellent at dinner. Large carpark. Atmosphere was really nice, bar and restaurant very very nice! We will definitely return. Only a couple of niggles / feedback. Missing a bed side table on one side of the bed so had to put my drink, glasses, phone etc on the floor. Shower was not good, no separate temperature control, great if you like a cold shower but to turn the heat up you lose the pressure, so it just dribbled out. Also the shower head was not detachable. Although the bed was cosy, it was alittle too hard for our liking.

- Aaron (2/5): - The second room we were moved into was clean, but the shower had poor pressure and the sink had a drainage problem When arrived to our first room, the showerhead had gunk, there was terrible water pressure, and there were shower drainage problems. We then got set up in a better room afterwards.

- Ruthild (6/5): -
- Karin (8/5): A great value overnight place to stay near Edinburgh and Fife - It had a restaurant on site serving good food.
The staff were helpful and attentive.
Our twin room was very spacious with a double bed, single bed and a settee.
- jean-luc (8/5): -
- Mairhri (9/5): Quiet location, an ideal base to access nearby attractions - The Adamson has always been a pleasant stay. It is in a quiet village just out of the Dunfermline city centre and ideally placed for nearby attractions. On-site restaurant and breakfast are also good. The toilet roll is awkwardly located behind you, so you have to twist to access it.
- R J (2/5): - The shower head allowed minimal flow of water maybe only 2 or 3 holes working. The absolute worst I have experienced.⁰

- James (9/5): Excellent value for money , nice helpful staff , nice food , will be happy to stay again - Service staff were very nice and helpful , food was excellent and good value , off street parking and early easy to find Window in our room on ground floor would not open at all (109)
- Derek (9/5): Single room - Good clean comfy room with ample parking TV did not work
Breakfast not starting at 0700 as per week days
- SHELAGH (9/5): - Helpful and friendly staff. Food very good. Car park nice and flat & plenty of space.
Room spacious although if 2 people using room could have done with an extra chair. Good shower & nice soft towels. We drove into Dunfermline but bus stops very close and fairly frequent service so easy to get into town centre. Nothing to dislike
- Gabriella (10/5): Fantastic place to stay, comfortable & great restaurant & bar - Loved absolutely everything about this place. Great room size, comfortable, clean & so quiet at night. Great meal options in the restaurant. Friendly & welcoming staff. Great breakfast options also. Highly recommend staying here & I will again if visiting the area. Nothing at all.
- Mackay (10/5): - The hotel was lovely and clean staff wonderful Nothing
- Neil (7/5): -
- Pamela (3/5): Awful - The bed was awful, lumpy, could feel every spring, the pillows were so flat. Felt very itchy in the bed. It was so bad I checked out at 11.00pm and went to a travelodge so I could get a sleep.

- Claire (9/5): 5th stay - The staff are all so friendly and helpful, evening meals are amazing so tasty and always served hot, rooms and public areas all clean The same conplaint i make every time, the ooms require black out blinds or curtains and something to help the doors close easier as people slam them constantly
- Colin (10/5): -
- Formosa (10/5): - This lovely hotel easy to find with privat parking ,restaurant and bar ,very clean and comfortable room and tasty breakfast i really recomanded .

- Andy (9/5): - Staff were friendly and helpful and efficient Not applicable
- Kirsty (7/5): - Beautiful clean comfy spacious room. Comfy beds. Nice tea/coffee/biscuits area.
Plenty parking. Staff helpful
Very hold price Quite noisy being right next to what looks like a quiet road but wasn't really.
Breakfast was a little disappointing with only a few hot options and no eggs left despite being there at 7.30. Coffee was good though.
No lift in hotel so difficult with buggy.
- Jerry (8/5): Perfectly suited our needs - Extra clean, all staff super helpful and friendly. Heating was too high
- Sam (8/5): -
- Paul (9/5): Great Hotel and Location - Bar & Restaurant fantastic with great staff. room was functional and as described
- Sylvia (10/5): - Room Nothing
- Amy (6/5): Some issues, but overall - the staff were all lovely and pleasant, the hotel was budget friendly, good location. - Budget friendly. Location was outwith the centre, but has a bus stop right outside the hotel, and all buses go to Dunfermline bus station. Staff were all lovely. Good sized room, not too small but not too big. To preface this review - I don’t believe ‘budget friendly’ hotels, should be an excuse for poor quality/standard’s.
On arrival we noticed signs on the walls near the rooms, that state, strictly no hot food or takeaways allowed in the rooms and a deep cleaning fee will be applied if ‘rooms are not maintained to professional standards’ - this threw us off for two reasons, one being we’ve just never been in a hotel that doesn’t allow hot food/takeaways and two being the professional standards, especially when the rooms aren’t cleaned to a professional standard.. so guests are expected to clean the room?
When we got into the room we noticed there was less than half a toilet roll and another with about 3/4 left, folded with the hotel staple triangle shape.. we then noticed there was no iron board or iron and to top it off, our room door was broken - my partner went down to reception straight away, the staff seemed surprised the room had no iron board and little toilet roll, but advised they were aware of the issue with the door and awaiting maintenance. I feel we should have been made aware of this, and given an alternative room - not only because we had to slam the door each time, with the alarms going off more regularly than others due to the issue, but the issue was relating to the electrical card lock which if broken, would risk our door not being locked.
At night we noticed small stains on the bed sheet under the duvet and when opening the windows due to the heat it was evident one was hanging on for its life on the hinges, but we were back late and at that point didn’t see the point in reporting it.
When checking out, I suggested to the receptionist that they make guests aware of the door fault specifically, but the girl advised it’s outwith their control as they have reported it already to maintenance. I do understand these things aren’t a quick fix, especially if it’s a fault with a specialised lock, however, they should have made us aware.

- Mr.Bee (10/5): -
- dieDani (9/5): Sehr zu empfehlen - Gutes Essen und Bier, Biergarten.......nette Menschen, Zimmer ums Bett etwas eng....sonst okay.
- Kay (9/5): - Lovely hotel and staff.
- David Benjamin (7/5): Comfortable. - Clean, tidy, and professional. An additional step on the landing caused me to stumble and my wife to fall. A sign to the right of the step was there as a notification to this step, though on both occasions failure to adhere to the warning resulted in a trip accident.
- Alison (8/5): Great overnight stay for work purposes - Clean and nice decor Pillows were a little lumpy
- Fabio (9/5): -
- Anne (8/5): Lovely hotel and great food - great value - Very clean and comfortable- great value for money Nothing
- Jamie (9/5): Comfortable and friendly. - Friendly staff, comfortable bed, clean room, decent breakfast. Ticked all the boxes. I'd happily stay here again. Nothing not to like.
- Silvia (6/5): -
- Caroline (8/5): - Lovely spacious bedroom The breakfast. There was no fruit. When will hotels realise it is cheaper and better for the environment to have conserves and butter served without plastic. Put them in little glass bowls.
- Homeira (5/5): -
- William (8/5): Good hotel in quiet village - Breakfast was good . Room very quiet . Nothing
- Anthony (8/5): - Pleasant staff and reasonable price
- James (7/5): - Breakfast was good but not enough joice Hotel rooms had been booked for 3 months or more but when i arrived they didn’t have the correct rooms and we had to argue the point with them to get the correct rooms overall good and would go back for the price
- Sophie (7/5): - Le restaurant. La douche est vieille.
- Pavel (8/5): - Amazing staff, good value for money, breakfast, cleanness. water pressure was poor, difficult to find optimal temperature in shower - either too hot or too cold.
- EddieReid (8/5): A good 3 star hotel. - Stayed 2 nights at Adamson as we were attending a function nearby.
Our room on second floor (216) was a fair size and was clean and tidy.
Lack of a mirror (except small one in bathroom)
Note there is no lift to upper floor and witnessed other guests having difficulty with their luggage.
We ate in the hotel on our first evening and food and service was very good. A nice and varied reasonably priced menu. Having had such a nice evening meal sadly the breakfast did not match that standard, especially on the first morning when the whole experience was disappointing to say the least.
It did improve the next day but that would not have been difficult.
Overall the hotel fulfilled our need for a place to stay near function we were attending. The staff were very personable and the hotel was very reasonably priced and good value. Would stay again if in the area.

- Alun (9/5): A wonderful stay in a wonderful hotel - The property was perfect in every way , location was superb , the food was superb and a bar that stayed open for residents as late as they need this is hotel perfection I have to say It pains me to say this but one complaint is that when we arrived the toilet seat was hanging off and sliding all over the place , we pointed this out to reception and we told it would be fixed , we were staying three days and it was not fixed during our stay , a shame because this hotel would have scored maximum in every way had this been fixed
- SOPHIE (8/5): - Emplacement idéal.
Petit déjeuner copieux La literie zncienne pas confortable

- Lisa (8/5): Comfortable room - good food but leave the suitcase in the car and just take what you need for the n - Breakfast was good but dragging my suitcase up stairs and through countless fire doors was hard work I know it’s difficult when you stay in an old place with stairs - but this was a
real rabbit warren of up and down stairs
