• Nick (10/5): Spectacular - This was our last stop before returning home and we could not pick a better place to stay. On arrival you were greeted by all the staff and got to soak in the spectacular views over the vast estate. Our afternoon drive with Ronnie was informative and a wonderful experience. Our accommodation beautifully appointed overlooked the vast estate allowing us to witness a superb sunset. Dinner and breakfast was beautifully cooked and professionally served. This is a wonderful place to stay for a couple of days. Nothing.

Insgesamt ist es unsere vierte Reise durch Namibia. Es gibt gemessen an Preis-Leistung keine bessere Lodge in Namibia! Sehr gutes Fleisch zum Abend wer es mag - tolle Filets, Rind/ Oryx.Prima Frühstück. Schöner Wanderweg an der Lodge, schöner Pool mit tollen Liegen - mindestens zwei Nächte muss man bleiben, wir genossen drei Nächte- ideal zum erkunden und entspannen. Alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich, es wird stets gereinigt . Schöne Zimmer, die erst renoviert wurden- Bad und Fußboden u.a. mit modernen grossformatigen grauen Fliesen. Sehr gutes Preisgefüge an Getränken und Essen. Bitte so beibehalten. Es gibt nichts auszusetzen! Alles wunderbar!

• Caroline (10/5): Fantastic!!!!!!! Amazing scenery’s - The view is in one word amazing! What a magnificent place. The food is excellent. The staff is so friendly! They have such an eye for detail and we really loved the decor! The lodge is built on top of the mountain and it is fantastically done, especially with the infinity pool!!! From the main area or your own tent, you can already see the giraffes walking below! At the end of the day, we went on a game drive with Moses. He knows an incredible amount and did everything he could to find the animals and get close to them. It was an unforgettable experience! They even have a perfect wifi! All the other activities we did not do. We were here one night but we definitely recommend the place! Thank you all! Also for the lovely flowers and champagne in the room when we arrived for our wedding anniversary!

Die geführte Tour mit Specialized E-Bikes hat trotz Regen Spass gemacht, sie führte über Single Trails vorbei an Felsmalereien zu einem Aussichtspunkt mit Erfrischung und Snack zum Sundowner.

• Anna (10/5): Atemberaubende Landschaft - Die Unterkunft liegt wunderschön im Erongo und der Blick über die Felsen und die Landschaft ist atemberaubend. Die Anlage ist sehr schön angelegt, top gepflegt und am Pool lässt es sich hervorragend entspannen. Die Liegen dort sind sehr bequem. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und super ausgestattet. Von der eigenen Terrasse hat man einen schönen Blick aufs Wasserloch, auch wenn wir bei unserem Aufenthalt nur wenig Tiere gesehen haben. Es gibt einen eigenen Haustrail, den wir zu Sonnenuntergang gegangen / geklettert sind mit wunderbaren Aussichten. Hat uns und unseren 4jährigen sehr beeindruckt. Am nächsten Tag sind wir mit Ronny zu den San (Living Museum) gewandert und konnten viel über ihre Art zu Leben erfahren. Auch der Sundownerwalk mit Joana war super toll. Auf dem Berggipfel gibt es Snacks und Drinks und einen einmaligen Sonnenuntergang. Sie hat uns auch viel über die Menschen und die Natur berichtet. Einfach toll. Das Frühstück war super, man bekommt einen reichhaltigen Frühstückskorb und kann sich weitere Speisen a la carte aussuchen. Das Abendessen war auch sehr gut. Wir hatten wunderbare 2 Tage und würden wieder hier buchen. Joana und Ronny waren super herzlich und haben uns toll begleitet. Der Empfang an der Rezeption wirkte nach unseren bisherigen familiären Lodges erst etwas unterkühlt. Auch die Barmitarbeiter wirkten zum Teil wenig motiviert. Es wäre schön, wenn auch mal jemand am Pool vorbeigekommen und nach Getränken gefragt hätte.

Birds in the restaurant, particularly at breakfast hopping all over plates, tables and cutlery. Odd “vibe” in the place overall but as British, we were definitely in a minority.

• Jill (10/5): - AiAiba provides a unique experience in the Erongo Mountain region. The hotel is beautiful and peaceful. We would have loved to stay here for a week, if possible. Longer stays are recommended, but we stayed one night as a midway stop between Etosha and Swakopmund. The hike from the hotel to see the cave paintings is well-marked, has amazing views (the sunset is spectacular), and has a lot of cave art paintings. We did not expect to see this many paintings in such a quiet, serene space, which is a nice surprise. The ability to participate in hiking, biking, and other outside sports is enjoyable for all age groups. For the hike, we never found #1 (probably our oversight). Seeing the baboon families on the rocks overhead is exciting and unique to the lodge. We also thought the lights lighting up the rock faces behind the hotel at night were beautifully designed. We highly recommend this eco-friendly hotel. The room can get very cold in the winter at night, but the thick blankets provided helped tremendously. If you are interested in learning more about in cave art in a scholarly way, buy the cave art book (Peter Breunig in collaboration with Gabriel Franke, 2023). There no better source of informative, scientific, and scholarly knowledge on the rock art in the area. The book is well-researched and clearly communicated through the writing, pictures, and diagrams.
• Erwin (10/5): Fijne plek - Hele leuke plek om steeds weer te keren.Zeer fijn zwembad heel fris maar leuk om baantjes te trekken. Mooie wandelingen rond the lodge. Het eten heeft wel een upgrade sinds een paar weken. Was heel lekker. Kamers fijn om in te vertoeven en netjes.
• Joanna (2/5): Huge disappointment, wouldn't recommend - Highly overrated place. Looks great in the pics but it was a huge disappointment for us. Only sunset was nice. Issues with parking outside the lodges as the space is super tight. We couldn't park outside ours as the car from next lodge took all the space Dinner was a disgrace. No buffet no proper menu. The only option is a dinner for 1000N$ per couple with little choice, tiny baby portions. Big disgrace and embarrassment to be honest. Starter was a simple salad and dinner small steak and literally 2 spoons of rice...an insult for an adult person. Wifi is another problem. Available at reception and restaurant only so if you need it you ideally need to go sit in the restaurant when straight away they want you to order food or drinks. We stayed in so many remote lodges in Namibia and all of them had WiFi available for all lodges, except for this place.
• Isabel (9/5): Superb - We especially liked the setting in the bush, surrounded by impressive mountains. The staff were all very friendly; the guide who took us on a sundowner hike and to the rock paintings was first class. The food/breakfast was nice and the room spacious. We had a great stay.

The guide for the drive and walk experience was very knowledgeable, and it allowed us to see more of the beautiful scenery along with the rock art and animals. I enjoyed watching the sunsets and sunrises. The lodges are very sympathetic to the environment they are in and well drsigned to maximise the view while maintaining the privacy of each lodge. It's a truly amazing spot to go and visit. Nothing, I enjoyed every moment of my stay.

• Pammieg (8/5): Superb location, good food and a gift of giraffes in the morning - We loved the rocky landscape and remote location with the chalets set against the gigantic rocks of Damaraland. Food was good, steak or fish for dinner and a varied breakfast menu including a choice of pancakes, or eggs, muesli, fruit etc. After many lodge experiences where we had to leave the car far from our chalet, we were happy to park right next to our chalet so we could sort our luggage before heading back to Windhoek and our flights home. Chatting with the friendly owner at dinner was another bonus. We were lucky to spot a rare black mongoose scampering across the path on a walk to our chalets. Even more fortunate, on our drive out the following morning we encountered several family groups of giraffes. In my travels I have always found its a mistake to go back to a place one has loved previously. We were travelling with others and we wanted to share the place with them. The room was dark and needs a refurbishment. And through no fault of the lodge, it rained a bit in the afternoon so we couldn't do the fabulous sunset walk

• Martin (9/5): Great lodge and an amazing location with lovely staff. - The communal abd outside area was nice with plenty of place to sit and relax The rooms are well decorated and the views from the rooms and their verandas are lovely. If I had to find something I did not like I would say that the food choice (like maybe lodges) is a little limited especially if you are staying more than one day.

• Schnepel (4/5): Smokers Den = AiAiba - The evening drive Although it is a non-smoking establishment, the place smelled like a bear's den of cigarettes or cigars.
• Enrique (8/5): Very pleasant stay at Ai Aiba Rock Painting Lodge - Great and very friendly service, good food and very nice views from the lodge. I also liked that the lodge used some repellent outside the rooms for insects. Gravel roads to lodge were quite bumpy and in somewhat bad condition, but that was due to the heavy rains a few days prior, so nothing really the lodge could have influenced. Nevertheless, inside our room we found very tiny bugs at the sofa-bed and the additional blankets that were kept in the room in case of need.

• Roy (10/5): A magnificent stay in this beautiful property. - Fabulous location, friendly staff, e- bike Safari, Rock Paintings, living museum. A photographers dream.
• Daniel (10/5): Loved it...twice! - Mesmerizing environment with highly knowledgable and kind staff. Very interesting game drive more focussed on the environment.
• Louis (10/5): - We had a fantastic time at this gorgeous place. The food and service were outstanding!
• Simen (10/5): Exceptional - Just amazing! Great facilities, lots of activities to do (e.g., created and marked bike hikes, included sundown walk with guide, great food) Top place, but somewhat on the more expensive end
