Also have pick up service.(but I am self-drive this time) City view room is amazing! Room is large enough and clean and tidy. Hot spring is good. Must try! Dinner (Sukiyaki) is nice but just few pieces. And breakfast is good also. Staff is helpful and nice.

• Verified traveler (2/5): 可以有更好的選擇 - check in 沒告知未含小孩的早餐,也未詢問是否要加購小朋友的早餐.隔天用餐時工作人員也帶領我們2大2小入座,每人一份早餐定食,之後下一組客人要用餐,才發現他們將另一組2位客人的早餐給了我們的小朋友,我們表明願意支付2位小孩的早餐費用,結果他們收了7000日圓,在我看來這份早餐定食價值不到1000日圓,他們收了3500日圓一個人,我們甚麼也沒說也付了,整個旅館就是名產店另外再搭建經營的小木屋,沒有甚麼質感與服務

A small private onsen to chill for couple. One of the best room I have stayed throughout my trip. A good place for relaxation and to forget about hustling and hustling city life.

The rooms outdoor sitting is very “enclosed”. The hotel was noisy at night (vent or plumbing maybe). It is about 7mns drive to downtown which makes it difficult to go eat out.

• smfr123 (6/5): Clean and comfortable but not your traditional ryokan - We stayed for two nights, with breakfast (but not dinner). The rooms are clean and comfortable, with western-style beds (which are a bit hard), and the soaking tub is nice. Breakfast is traditional Japanese-style (lots of small dishes), and they took care to vary the dishes on the second day. The food was good, and they were able to take allergies into account. We didn't have dinner, but poked our noses into the area where dinner was being served; at least on that evening it was an area with bright overhead fluorescent lights, and zero ambiance. The not-so-good part is that this ryokan is part of a complex of buildings that include a shop selling local sweets, a fish pedicure spa, and several dining areas. Going to breakfast involves navigating this maze of hallways, walking past areas obviously geared towards catering for large numbers of people. It became clear on the morning we left that the complex receives coach parties, and that the ryokan is just a part of this business. Service at breakfast was very friendly and good. Service for checking in and out was a little more curt. You ring a bell in the hallway to get the attention of someone to assist you. The location is outside of town, so you'll be driving, or taking a taxi to get to the area with shops and restaurants.

• Verified traveler (10/5): 괜찮은 숙소 - 가족단위라면 조금 좁다고 느낄 수 있지만 일본특성인걸 감안한다면. 상당히 괜찮은 숙소였습니다. 객실에 전용 온천이 작게 있었고 테라스와 테이블,의자가 있는 부준 좋았구요. 무엇보다 조식이 마음에 들었어요. 아이들 메뉴는 별도로 준비해주고 엄청 신경써서 준비한 느낌이 들었습니다. 커피,음료 등은 마음껏 무료이용이 가능하며 전자레인지도 있어 편리했구요. 주변이 자연속이라 벌레가 많은거 빼고는 리프래쉬하기 아주 좋은 환경이었습니다. 과할정도로 찬절했고 기념품샵이 딸려있어 선물구매도 용이합니다. 시내와 떨어져있는 부분이 제일 큰 단점이라고 볼 수 있습니다. 숙소 들어오기전에 필요한 먹거리는 구매하시고 오시는것을 추천드리구요. 전반적으로 만족도가 컸고 추천드리고 싶은 숙소입니다.

• Dyleen26 (10/5): A Gem Find in Yufuin - Breakfast and dinner spread was great! The staff actually made the effort to ensure that the spread was not repeated the 2nd day. The rooms had a breath-taking view of Mount Yufu! Private onsen was great. Location was away from the hustle and bustle of the main street. Difficult to get to the ryokan, but they provided complimentary shuttle once a day, to and from the main JR station. Highly recommended!

• Lai Chin (10/5): 極佳及性價比極高的旅館 - －泊二食的温泉旅館，一入房便能看到超靚的風景，空間大，坐在露台好舒服，日間及晚間看到的景色完全不同，但都是相當美及吸引，這個價錢能享用私人風呂，超讚、超抵，而且浴室有兩扇門，可作半露天風呂，房間夠整潔，入住時接待員很親善。晚餐及早餐不錯，但覺晚餐的火煱壽喜燒湯底偏甜及濃，可以淡一些｡以此等價錢入住，性價比高，物超所值，下次會再来，還要住多一兩晚｡這間旅館是今次九洲之旅入住七間酒店中最愛的一間。
• Verified traveler (6/5): - 當初在訂房網上看到極佳的評價及美麗的景緻所吸引而訂下此間旅館, 果然,住宿房間沒讓我們失望,面山景的房間和房內的泡湯池真的非常舒適，遇到大部分的工作人員也都很熱心親切。 由於我們是2大1小(小孩未滿2歲)的自由行,住宿當天在車站約定好來接駁的人員(年紀梢長,疑似是旅館老闆,因為只有他的穿著和其它員工不同), 從一開始態度就非常冷淡;我們帶小小孩行李較多,覺得不好意思而一直道謝,對方都沒有反應。 預約相同接駁時間的還有另一組日本人情侶,抵制旅館check in的是和接駁時同一位大叔，過程讓人極不舒服,他先親切有禮的幫日本情侶辦完住房手續後,轉過來態度180度大轉變,毫無笑容,臭臉不耐煩的換幫我們辦理手續。因為通往客房的路上不全是無障礙空間,小孩、行李加上小孩推車讓我們無法很順利的通行,大叔絲毫沒有要等我們的意思,一轉眼就不見人影,還好有一位會講中文熱心的工作人員上前協助我們,當下也詢問了工作人員隔天外出的接駁車時間,他提醒我們要事先預約,因為李行和小孩都在房門口,我們想進房梢作整理並討論一下再到前台回覆,當下大叔得知我們無法即時回覆臉超臭甩頭就走,留下滿臉尷尬的工作人員和我們。整個入住過程被疑似可能是老闆的大叔搞的很不開心,完全顛覆印象中極有禮貌的日本人形象。

• Allan (8/5): Excellent Option in Yufuin - Great breakfast and staff. The in-room Onsen is a very nice touch. Very close to the base of the mountain (Yufudake) but out of the town center.
• CrystalMaldini (8/5): Tranquil retreat - The ryokan is on the hillside, there are five rooms with private onsen, one store beside it (get discount when shop here). We really enjoyed hot spring and pretty mountain view in front of us. It was joyful to drive in Yufuin too, ryokan's mapcode: 46 300 455*17.

Room was on the small side, would have been better if the balcony area was converted to be part of the initial room design as it was wasted space. Food was provided- delicious and filling. Must try: the cheesecake sold at the attached store to the hotel. Good hotel for lovers/immediate family but if you travel with friends, be prepared to bare all or ask your Friend to look away while you shower as the bedroom and private onsen/shower area is separated by a see thru glass. The bed was comfy and warm!

• Daniel (10/5): My stay in Ryokan Yufusan - Hotel was clean. Breakfast and dinner were good. Car parking was easy, car park is in front of hotel. Staff was polite and helpful. Great view of Mt Yufu from verandah of room. Each room has it's own onsen bath. However location was far from main town of Yufu. Need car to get to hotel.
• peteypablo02 (10/5): Authentic relaxation - As a Canadian traveling in Japan I found this establishment to be a wonderful treat. From the pick up service at the bus/train terminal in town, to the Authentic Treatment upon arrival. Staff was inviting and the accommodation very clean. Private Onsen located in the room was very rewarding. Right down to the complementary Yukata Apparal for your true experience. Strongly recommend this facility to anyone curious.👍👍
• FaMookP (10/5): Awesome !!! - Private onsen in lower price . Worth to stay. Nice staff. The room is quite small , but clean and the private onsen (hot tub) is awesome. The breakfast and dinner is good. This ryokan is far from the train station , you should have a car or taxi to come here.
• irenew680 (10/5): Yufusan is Awesome ! - Yufusan is highly recommended for its excellent services, wonderful view and user-friendly appliances, such as free wifi, beverages with multiple choices and free pick-up to and from the station. Yufusan will definitely be the NO. 1 choice next time we re-visit here.
• Escape675403 (10/5): I will visit here again soon. Very good!! - Room is so nice. There are a bath, nice view, and clean services in the room. Ryokan yufusan provides many good services such as pickup bus, free drinks, and so on. Price is also reasonable and I like this ryokan. I will visit here again soon.
• kitsou (6/5): Disappointing, isolated, not worth the money - We were so looking forward to experiencing an authentic ryocan in Japan with it's own onsen (hot spring). Imagine our disappointment when we were shown a tiny bedroom, a walled in balcony and a tub-sided onsen. The establishment had no dinner available, and the town was not even remotely within walking distance. The surrounding woods were nice, quiet, but nothing else was around. Be sure to stock up on food. Thee is a small grocery store in the village and an assortment of restaurants. One way by taxi was 1102 yen. There is a tiny fridge and kettle. There is no common area, and nowhere to go except in your small balcony off the tub. This ryocan is too isolated unless you have a car. The staff speak no English. The view of the mts. is nice. The TV has only a few channels, and all are in Japanese. This a place that receives large tour groups, so be aware. We fortunately, missed them by a day.
• KyotoMarie (10/5): Charming - This was delightful . A lovely private glassed off spring bath was In each room and a nice private deck. Lovely mountain views. The room was very clean and comfy beds but very small so not a lot of room to move around. Clean bed linens every day and just very private but it was out of town with no local bus service so taxis we're mandatory also no on site restaurant so you had to go out for all meals, so sometimes 4 cabs per day about $40.00. This facility was a store and candy/cookie factory that caters to Asian tour buses and as an aside that had a wing with about 8 motel rooms for rent.
• SRkim30 (10/5): excellent choice - My husband and me are staying at Yufusan! We are very satisfied for everything. Hospitable services, delicious cuisine, comfortable room, fantastic view, and touching private bathtub. Although it is a little far from Yufuin station, it has welcome and send off service by car. If you will use rental car like us, you will enjoy it more.
• heliana_ea (8/5): A private bath with a good view - I chose this Ryokan mainly due to their private bath, cannot do public bath yet despite ao many times I visited Japan. We chose to walk from the station, and it started as a lovely walk through the country side but the end stage is quite steep esp when we drag our luggage. The second time we took a taxi at 1000 JPY. But I must say that the inn and the private bath really is satisfying, with the view from the bath. Also if you fancy good walk, and a feeling of fresh air
